I suggest using a Google Docs poll or some sort of polling site for feedback, as it may be difficult to easily aggregate feedback for this question's responses.

All of the suggested tags seem OK to me.

Edit: Also I'd like to see a special tag for creators who use all-original content (e.g. the items they sell use their own artwork, not stuff grabbed from the web)

Possibly a Google Forms would be easier to use and count up votes and look at input.

I think all the tags are fine, however I do think some sort of civ.service tag would be good, to include things like providing design services to other storefronts, or perhaps those that give phone and Internet lines. Just things of a service nature. This might also be good for military services, or maybe at least include a mil.mercenary for PMCs and lent troops. Finally, I think a tag for luxury items, or high class things like expensive jewelry, fabrics, food & drink, etc. might be a good one. Items that are generally seen as more expensive and refined

I chose to drop the WMD tag simply because that could be apart of the military tag already.

Why not (also) add/drop tags according to how often they’re used? Provide a list of a few hundred and see how many are in use in three months. That way you won’t have to rely on people with the time to post a proper reply here.

That's a presumption we've been going off, on top of this. Similar with new tags as they're suggested (or otherwise start seeing broad, community-wide appeal), even after this thread has run its course. General aim, for now, is to get as much with as broad, yet defining, application as possible with the highest likelihood of community usage, but we're just not going to be able to get/foresee everything from the start, no matter how much some of us (coughmyselfcough ) try and aim for it.

Hopefully what bugs exist will get smoothed out, and the system itself can be explained as succinctly as possible to maximize usage and minimize false-positives.

I've absolutely nothing against adding your own tags, either, but on the other hand you have to consider how many is too many; if we introduce two hundred tags, are we really expecting people to search for civ.firewood and mil.bigredbuttons? This is ultimately meant to help people find and be found, so we can't get too niche or we defeat that purpose. If you want to introduce further tags, please do not do it solo - mention its introduction in the relevant thread when that goes live. There's no point in tags people don't know exist.
