You seem like a pretty nice dude, but swearing is permitted on these forums. So long as it's not overly obnoxious (IE swearing every word for the sake of being annoying).

It was some sort of lamb stew style thing, but she also had what looked like a cupcake sheet on the stovetop with little pools of oil in it. She'd throw this pastry thing on it and it would puff up like a balloon and then you'd tear that up and eat the lamb stew type thing with it. It was soooo good. I have no idea what it's called. What's worse, people have since told me and I never remember.

The pastry thing sounds like phulka. The lamb style stew description is too vague for me to tell.
