What's the meaning behind YN's flag

[The Huterric Union]

Unlike common belief (usually referring to the crowns), every component of the Huterric flag is important. Here's a breakdown of our flag's meaning

The green crowns - They represent the 3 pillars of Huterric life, also known as the Huterric Values. These are: Liberty, Equality, Diversity. They're green because nature is green and this is meant to link our values to nature, saying they're a natural part of human life.

The yellow background - The colour yellow has always been associated with the Union and is the colour used in all government web pages. Thus the colour yellow makes up the majority of the flag as it represents the people.

The maroon cross - This takes the most explaining. The flag was established after the Huterric Civil War which regarded the human rights abuses the Union had performed and the authoritarian society that was present that eventually lost the war. The flag for the pro-civil war movement was mostly maroon. After the civil war the nation unified as a federation. The First Article of the Huterric Constitution was written by the first President, Zachariah Denimon, in the colour purple, in reference to the symbolism maroon had in getting the Huterric people their liberties. Therefore, the magenta cross is a reminder that in the late 1700s libertarianism won over authoritarianism and that we are a proudly free country where one can do as they wish.

Red: blood shed in the name of freedom
Gold: shared wealth
Block of stars: a star representing each state in the union
3 stars: the 3 virtues. Labour, duty and freedom
Hammer and sickle: the people's revolution.

[Strienen]

Everything in the flag of Strienen has a different meaning, even the colors!
Colors:
-Black: Courage
-White: Purity
-Red: Revolutionary zeal

Symbols:
-Hammers: The symbol of Brotherly Distribution and workers' rights
-Arrow pointing upwards: We rise to any challenge
-Diamond shape: Looked cool with the rest of the flag
-Circle: A never-ending nation
-Black and red banner (Ties in with their colors' meanings): Our courage is interwoven with revolutionary fervor

[Second Empire of America]

The 13 stripes represent our nation's past, as thirteen disunited colonies. The Star of Stars represents our nation as it is today, as 51 States that together form a single Empire, just as the 51 stars are arranged to form a single, giant star. Unity in Diversity. From Many, One.

(While this has been officially denied by our government, popular belief is that the central star represents California, the largest State and the location of our Capital.)

[Destructive Government Economic System]

Other than the fact that the flag is a literal image of the Great Uniter and Beast himself, there is nothing to deduce here.

Although our nation's flag currently flies to the left, if we do CTE, there's an image of the flag on the right for posterity.

1.] What is its Meaning? (colors/stripes/symbols) The top brown bar represents our mining industry. The middle blue bar represents our urbanisation (not surprisingly - we're a city, dammit!). The bottom orange-yellow bar represents... erm, our beach.

Exhibit B

6.] Does It Have More Than One Version? (old/new) The Experimental Communist Republic (which couped in 1958) flew the flag in Exhibit B.

[Ko-oren]

Blue and green are the heraldic colours of the four cities that Ko-oren grew from. The four parts originally represented these four cities.

The modern interpretation is that the flag is a simplistic map of the country, with many islands (green) and small bodies of water (blue).

[Diarcesia]

"The lynx symbolizes the Barrier, the Salvation, the Mark of Endurance, for our founder Arcesius was delivered from an arrow that would have ended his life by this creature as he was hunted down by his so-called friends. The red symbolizes the sacrifice, the new overcoming the old, the Sea of Blood, for this is the price that the Mark of Endurance paid to ensure Arcesius's survival. The First Monarch took the Creature with him, healed its scars, and became his loyal companion."

[Tondo Federation]

Blue stands for the tranquility and pacifism of Tondo; Yellow stands for the value of the Tondonese people, which is worth more than gold; Red stands for the soldiers that fought for Tondo. The blue takes up more space of the flag because Tondo is more of a pacifist nation than a warlike nation. The sun stands for the rising glory of the Tondonese Empire; and the star stands for the capital of Tondo; Seludong, the everlasting city.

[Hertisy]

The red triangle is supposed to mean the mountains, the reason why it is red is the blood we will spill on these mountains to protect the lands.
The black background is to metaphorically resemble the dark wars since Sultanate Christia.
The white X is to resemble the heavily-enforced social equality. (Anti-vaxxers, homophobes, etc. are either set to suffer or die brutally)

[Gandoor]

The red symbolizes our official ideology of democratic socialism.
The eight stars arranged in a circle represent the eight administrative divisions.
The central star represents the central government that unifies and rules over them.

[Fatatatutti]

The gold hammer and sickle signify that the workers, both agricultural and industrial, are the wealth of the nation. The red background symbolizes the life-blood of the people, not shed blood.

[Republic of Europe]

Blue background symbolizes the powerful navy we have, the golden wreath represents order and the white pigeon stands for peace, both internal and external.

[Sagallena]

The maroon colour is based on the colours of the robes the monks of Sagallena wear.

The Buddha and hand represents the teachings of the Buddha and their impact on Sagallena.

The blue lotus leaves represent purity, patience and the blooming nature of the nation.

The Tibetan Script reads Sagallena, accompanied by the mantra ‘Om mani padme hum’.

[East Apikai]

The light blue, taken from the color used to denote targeted minorities in the fascist Apikaian State, represents the nation's victory in the civil war and independence. The eight-pointed star represents the Eight Grievences announced in the Eastern Declaration of Independence. The seven stars surrounding the central star denote the seven states. The dove, of course, represents peace to come.

[Great Dai Viet]

Yellow is the color of an emperor.
The color red is connected to the "south".

[The Litan Imperium]

The color red signifies the hardiness and strength of the imperium.
The black signifies the authority of the government and the Imperator.

The blood drop represents the loyalty of the Litan people.

The bird can be interpreted in multiple ways. Either as a symbol of the ever watchful gaze of the government. The far reaching influence of the Imperium, or as a means to show how the Imperium values it's natural resources.

[Morvan]

The overall layout represents a close kinship to Cuba.

The red stripes represent the two islands
The white stripe represents peace between all people of Morvan
The blue represents the Carribean sea
The white star represents Morvan
The red star represents Socialism and Equality

[New England Syndicates]

The cog is a traditional symbol of syndicalism, representing the labor of the common man. The maple tree is a longstanding symbol of New England itself. Uniting the two shows how the New England revolutionaries saw themselves as the successors to the founders of New England, not a rejection of its past.

[Aegyptus Imperium]

The wings represent the protection over the Egyptian people; the green, blue, and red wings of Ra.

The yellow background represents the sand of the Egyptian desert.

The red circle in the middle represents the sun, as Ra is the god of the sun.

Finally, the ankh represents all life coming from the sun.

[Great Celestial China]

The yellow background signifies the golden celestial empire and emperor, being the color of power, wealth, and royalty.
The white is the sun, being an important source of life and light, which signifies the importance of the emperor and the empire in the world. It also represents the celestial position of the heavens and son.
And last, the "Tang" word is in the center of the flag, being the golden age and, arguably, the best dynasty of imperial China.
(Don't get confused with the Ming flag)

[Sayf al-Tawhid]

The red symbolises the blood of the martyred, and the shahada is the creed declaring the oneness of God and the belief that Muhammad is the messenger of God.

[Dytarma]

Our crown stands for our monarchy, the rose is the national flower of Dytarma, the yellow is for the sun, and the green, blue, and red stripes represent the three main jobs of early Dytarma. They are, in order, the farmer, the fisher, and the warrior.

[Luminumbra]

The three rays of light: Wisdom, Ascension and Faith in the Cult.

Two small white bands: Stability, Foundation of the State and its theology.

Large white band: Power, Authority, Ruthlessness, Mercilessness.

Yellow Circle: The Gods, And the Leader of the State Cult. The State Cult itself.

The characters: The Luminumbran phrase meaning "Sacrifice". This one word phrase used commonly by luminumbrans to remind their fellow neighbors to help others before themselves, as the holy texts say. This is what Luminumbrans are told anyways. What's not known however is that the phrase as used on the flag actually refers to the fact that all Luminumbrans are disposable, and that they owe their lives to the cause of the Gods. In other words, at any moment, the state could pull a Jim Jones on the entire population for the sake of appeasing these gods, which are false gods by the way.
