I think it's also relevant to discuss the concept of spirits and entities from other dimensions/planes of existence, particularly with the whole theme of my undead character being host to a parasitic, corrupting eldritch abomination, probably via some sort of sacrifice/ritual/experiment by one of the dark sorcerers he was raised to serve. Though it happens to be weakened both by merely being in this dimension, and the process of its arrival, since it didn't arrive in this world all in one piece, and most of it is still back in the other dimension (as well being weakened/damaged later on in the backstory by some holy magic/enchantments/stuff like that that was used on my character and said abomination at one point, prior to being trapped in an old barrow for some considerable amount of time).

I also wonder how easy it would be to travel to other dimensions/open gateways to various realms, as it were. Presumably not easy, and the gods probably wouldn't exactly be happy with anything snooping in on this world from elsewhere. Though in my ideas regarding the Finnish inspired kingdom I made (probably calling it Luonomielä), an old tradition of shaman-sorcerers (later on respected mages called tietäjät/knowers in the kingdom) while closely associated with nature, also prided themselves on working with various spirits and travelling into other realms of existence. Of course, a dark variant of this is concerns a cabal of four dark sorcerers and a greater cult beneath them, linked to the whole eldritch abomination thing, and my character being raised by one of them.

Incidentally, my character probably isn't killed by the four sorcerers at first (instead meeting an unpleasant end at the hands of a warband of Zeriuani (basically early Velikiyan/Slavic) tribesmen from the east (slipping through a gap in the the under-garrisoned magical fortifications built some time before to defend against the aforementioned, more numerous Zeriuani) led by an ambitious chieftain, Mežamir (the individual warband I mentioned being led by a half-giant named Kelagast), with a coalition of tribes, who invaded the kingdom during the period of strife caused by the four sorcerers, their servants/undead/monsters/abominations causing trouble and going up against the forces of the High King of Luonomielä. Obviously, this is only a bit of the lore/background I've got going on, and things may be subject to change.

Personality: Mellie is somewhat reclusive and paranoid after what befell her parents, but always tries to maintain an air of politeness and elegance wherever she goes especially when dealing with business associates. She takes her position as family head and Vampire Lord very seriously, and has a great pride in her family name. As such, she doesn't take insults to her family well and is highly protective over her sisters, not wanting anything to happen to them. She has a cool and distant demeanor that hides a simmering anger, she's almost obsessed with tracking down those who killed her parents and woe unto anybody who gets in her way. She seems like she doesn't care for much but her clan and money, but she has a deep love for her sisters although she may not be the most affectionate in public, she'd go to any lengths to protect them and the rest of her clan. She doesn't tolerate betrayal well nor does she hate other species, but is distrustful of most other living beings until she gets to know them. Can be pretty vain as she knows she's attractive, and she plans to marry one day but due to this shadow hanging over her she hasn't gotten many suitors nor does she really want one at the current moment.

Biography: Mélanie is the eldest of four sisters (five children in total) born to Elissa and Hector Trebond, Lord and Lady of Clan Trebond. However, she wasn't born in Velikiya like many vampires that she knew (even her own parents) but instead she was born and raised in Arghyo. Her father was a politician of the vampiric government there called the Umbra Court, which was ruled by seven Vampire Lords, one from each of the seven most powerful clans in Arghyo with Hector being one of them after they had overthrown their king. He had reigned as a tyrant for many centuries, until the first Lords established a coup and managed to overthrow him. From then on, the Umbra Court operated democratically with the Grand Master at its head. And not only Strigoi would reign, but those who clans showed strength and fairness regardless of rank, so it's unusual in being a mixed court. As such, Mellie was raised to follow in her father's footsteps and she took to her lessons well, almost better than well. Her sister Marçela worked on cultivating her beauty, wit and magic and that made her a deadly spy. Mona and Mary, the two youngest took to becoming assassins and are sought out by many prominent vampire families to take care of "unwanted problems." Her youngest sibling and only brother Meier is an up and coming star in the council.

However, living so long sometimes inevitably comes with the cares of immortality and as such the weariness of it. Her father and mother planned to stepdown as clan leaders, opting instead to join the other Strigoi underground after asking and making sure that Mellie was ready to handle such responsibility. But they were sent on one last mission before that, called before the Council of Progenitors for some unknown business. They never returned, and what happened to them still remains a mystery. That made Mellie the head of the Trebond clan at a young age, and she was elected Vampire Lord some years later once she had proved herself. To generate more income and connect themselves to other vampires, she and her sisters operate quite a few seedy businesses like brothels and gambling houses in addition to their spy and assassination services.
Goals: To accumulate as much wealth and power as possible, keep her family together, maybe even build a vampire coven. To extend her clan’s power by marrying...eventually.

Alright so, first of all, I'm half-asleep right now, so I'll apologize before hand if I make any mistakes in this post

Yes, other dimensions certainly exist. While some of them, like this world's heavenly and hellish realms are directly connected to this world, there can certainly be all sorts of realms that are hidden unless someone creates a gate to it. Magic in theory could create gates like this, but this is an extremely powerful and tricky magic, since it would involve either using pure Ancient Magic, or trying to create a specific chant or spell for something that is indeed forbidden by the Gods. Many dark mages have probably experimented in this field, but very few actually succeeded, and these gates are probably pretty unstable. The only reason for why mortal mages would be able to do something like this in the first place is because of a certain deity messing with them in the first place - it's a particular one that I've used a couple of times before and that ignores time and space. I think that this wouldn't affect your piece of the lore - the arrival of the corrupting eldritch abomination in this world would be an extremely rare, but possible event. And that deity I mentioned before is probably one of the reasons for why the Gods didn't exterminate it from this plane of existence. And it being weakened is a really nice thing, from both an OOC perspective (as such a creature with full powers would probably be extremely powerful), and from an IC perspective, as bringing something from another dimension will always have some sort of a problem attached to it (in this instance, the eldritch being ripped into pieces).

Now, before I move on, I do have to mention that even just the very few lore pieces that you've mentioned here are extremely interesting, you really seem to have a put a lot of thought into this, and I certainly appreciate it

Now, it would have certainly been possible for these shaman-sorcerers to have been involved with stuff like this, since they seem to have been powerful mages, but they would have probably been pretty good at traveling into those realms of existence that are bound to this world. They could have certainly experimented with trying to travel to unrelated dimensions, but it would have been difficult for the reasons I've mentioned above - traveling like this literally requires the mage to cut into the very fabric of this world in order to carve a passage to another. Not impossible to try, but near impossible to do regularly. One of their experiments could have certainly ended with pieces of that abomination being transported to this world.

And yeah, the lore about your kingdom there is very nice, and it does fit in what we already had for the region of Velikiya. It was a very brutal place, with many pagan kingdoms and tribes and a lot of magic. Even the vaguely Slavic princedoms there are fairly recent, but I've been thinking about potentially pushing the campaign of the Knights of the Black Sun a little bit more in time, from 4641 to like 4100, or maybe even earlier, 3800, with the campaign itself probably being a lot longer and bloodier.

Biography: A strong and brave soldier in the armies of Achisia, the man only remembered by the name Sbe was a prime candidate to become a Champion of Achisia. He was selected and forced to go through a horrifying ritual that few had managed to survive. He was one of the lucky few however that did survive, transformed by the Mage-Emperor into a husk with not memories, personality, emotion, or name. Branded as Sbe, the Champion of Seven, being the seventh one to survive the ritual, he accompanied the other Champions under orders of the Emperor, with eight Champions in total. When the Mage-Emperor was killed, the Champions each gained their own free will but were still trapped without their personalities and emotions, with regaining them becoming each of their's primary goal in life. The group separated and began a journey through the wastelands of the fallen empire, trying to figure out how to attain their goal.
