The Razen Football Authority [Razenthuria] and Abajan Football Federation [Abaja] present their bid to host the 72nd Cup of Harmony
#ABAJAZEN

RAZENTHURIA
The State of Razenthuria, also known as the Crown Republic of Razenthuria is a large island nation situated on the Lotus Keys in the region of Esportiva, home to nearly 80 million Esportivan-Africans who stretch far beyond the eye can see. The nation, which has developed upon the common core of democracy is also a variation of modern-day government, based off the principle of the West minister government - being a former colony between 1831 and 1942, our proud lands were discovered by the explorer, Francis Afrenzia, a man of African descent. Plunged onto the world, seventy-five years ago, a bloody civil war waged thru the nation - creating the world we know today as Razenthuria, freeing it from the bondage and slavery of years previous, as a nearly-united nation was created - our incarnation of the Razen Gods of Mabeza and Siduvila, creating Razenthuria in what seculars refer to as 1942, more familiarly in Razenthuria as R-339, the Year of Victory. Razenthuria now functions as a nation - slightly theocratic, the nation is lead by the Chief Chancellor, who serves also the High Chieftain of the nation - while officially the head of state, the High Chieftain has little to no known power - he or she is elected into place once every five years, the current High Chieftain being R'Verzaka, belonging to the National Traditionalist Party - elected in R-409. Situated on a large archipelago, Razenthuria has come to be known as the "Fire Isles", notable for being the home of the four ancient kingdoms of the Fire Island, the Earth Kingdom, the Air Nomads the North-and-South Water Tribes.

Modern-day Razen culture derives heavily from the ways of past - it can be described as a mix of Kita-Hinode and Banija, a nation with heavy African-and-Asian roots, Japanese and Igbo are the two predominant languages that are spoken within the nation. A common staple is to see foods of two entirely different cultures mixed together, 'fufu', a staple of the Razen African traditionalist diet is commonly mixed with a Melon-and-Sushi soup, allowing for new flavors to flow within the nation and a strange cultural fuse. While much of the nation also speaks English - even adhering to English names within cities and such, the far east remains predominantly Hinodejin-inspired, Soroku being the title point of the main Asian population within the nation. To the south lay the traditional African population - the vibrant Raza civilization still remains highly-prevalent, against all odds - in the past, extermination has been attempted thrice, however, the nation has also been able to come together in the spirit of the higher gods. Thru the experimentations of the Asian influences and modern-day influences, football has gained a foothold within Razenthuria, being the most-popular sport, commonly-sharing the title with lacrosse and gridiron, however, football within the nation has the most-advanced state-of-the-art information, infrastructure and feasibility within Razenthuria, celebrating its seventy-fifth anniversary, it has co-bid with the Abajan nation for the rights to host the 72nd Cup of Harmony.

OOC - RAZENTHURIA
Razenthuria is a new member to NS Sports, joining the community in time for the 79th World Cup - in which it only won three games the entire cycle - not much is known on Razenthuria, however, Razenthuria has managed his domestic leagues - being Starliga (domestic lacrosse), the RazenLeague pyramid (football) and the R-League (gridiron), representing the entirety of Razenthuria's scorination. Razenthuria has won the praise of a few people for his fluidity of his roleplay and his league, which Cosumar has described as a footballing league with potential, "I can see it becoming a desirable league in the future.", Razenthuria has taken these to heart and hopes to further boost his domestic league. Razenthuria has also closely observed the direction of Starblayia and Equestrian States in their cohesion to hosting the Equestar 80 tournament, seing how big the 80th edition is, the 72nd Cup of Harmony must also be up-to-par with what we've seen thus far.

ABAJA
Abaja, officially the Federal Republic of Abaja, is a large, cultured and devout nation found in the West Pacific and consisting of 89 million people. The nation is led by President Ayodele Azikiwe (Since 2014) with a Federal Presidential Republic government type. Abaja is a heavily religious nation, where Christianity and Islam rule over the land. Christianity is dominant in the nation, with 68.7% of the population being Christians, and Islam follows behind with 26.5% being Muslim. Abaja is known mostly for it's flat grassy lands, rocky mountains, lengthy rivers and it's powerhouse economy. The land area of Abaja is 317,510 mile² and majority of Abaja's land is a flat, savanna type of landscape. Jagi Falls, Mountain Ranges stretch from Northwest Abaja to Southwest Abaja. Mount Kimpachi, with a height of 18,034 ft, is the highest point on Abajan soil. Lake Chumvi is the largest lake in Abaja and has a size of 26,564 mi² and stretches from west to near central Abaja.

Abaja's current culture (in terms of language and religion) was heavily influenced by the Britonish of Britonisea, who colonized Abaja from the years of 1805-1963. Before the colonial period, Abaja was predominantly Muslim and little of the population spoke English. With the introduction of the Britonish, Christianity spread out across the land and converted many of the inhabitants from the 1800's, 70% of which were Muslim. Along with that, cities in Abaja were established and named after Britonish cities, colonizers, leaders and nobles. Such cities include "Kingsland" (which was soon changed to "Kingston" in 1903), "Callahan", "Ashton", "Charleston" and "Queensland" (which was changed to "Queens" in 1918). Football (or soccer) also grew rapidly popular in Abaja starting from the year of 1927. After winning independence in 1963, the Abajans set up their very own professional football league, called the "Abajan Premier League". From there, football sprouted quickly in the new Republic and very soon became the nation's most popular sport, along with basketball.

OOC - ABAJA
The Federal Republic of Abaja came into the NS Sports world a little over 4 years ago, and has had many RP's to share through World Cups 75-77 and 79, along with IBC's 17 and 20-23. The user hasn't done much scorination outside of his Sportswire, but throughout the years, Abaja has had no problems scorinating his two main national leagues - the APL and the ANBL - and has led him to much exposure and experience with xkoranate and how it works. On March of 2017, Abaja finally decided to put his skills to the test and ran as a co-host with Qasden in the 23rd International Basketball Championships. The tournament ran pretty smoothly, with little to no distractions. This was the first (and last) tournament in NS Sports that Abaja has had a part of scorinating and is willing to contribute more in hosting other sporting events. Abaja has also been observing the necessities of hosting a tournament and though he as not hosted an event, he knows the seriousness in being able to hold down multiple nations and that any silly mistake will bring skepticism from the community toward the user.

FORMAT, SCORINATION, ROLEPLAY
Xkoranate 0.3.3 will be operated during the tournament, using the NSFS3 style formula. RP grading scales for the World Cup of Harmony will range from 0-5, and RP Bonuses will be cumulative and will be based on the quality of the RP. Nations who participated in the World Cup 80 Qualifiers but were unable to qualify for the World Cup are given the invitation to the 72nd Cup of Harmony depending on whether they meet the invitation requirements, which we will not release. Our ideal set up for the Cup of Harmony LXII would compose of 32 teams (Eight groups of four). This format may change to more (36, 40, 42, 48) or less teams (30, 28) depending on how many nations meet the invitation requirements.

- 28 Teams: Seven groups of four. Top 2 teams in each group along with the top 2 best third placers in the groups advance
- 30 Teams: Six groups of five. Top 2 teams in each group along with the top 4 best third placers in the groups advance.
- 32 Teams: Eight groups of four. Top two in each group advance
- 36 Teams: Six groups of six. Top 2 in each group along with the top 4 best third placers in groups advance
- 40 Teams: Eight groups of five. Top two teams in each group advance.
- 42 Teams: Seven groups of six. Top two teams in each group, along with top 2 best third placers in groups advance.
- 48 Teams: Eight groups of six. Top two teams in each group advance.

Abaja, you have only RP'd once in World Cup 80 so far. Therefore, why do you think should you be judging whether others have RP'd adequately to get an invitation when you might not have qualified yourself based on your own criteria?

Hi, Cassa -
I don't speak for ABJ, but he has said real life has him slightly bogged down, but he does plan to rp more.

Hey Cassadaigua.

Yes, it's true that I'm not exactly modeling my expectation, as the past week has been unexpectedly busier than usual. The rest of this week should be pretty free for me. There are more RP's of mine expected to come around before the actual World Cup starts (don't worry, they won't be rushed, either). I do apologize to those in my group who haven't really seen much involvement from me.

Hi NP -
Since then, I've kept my tongue to myself and haven't made any comments; I don't believe our bid needs to be judged based off of one comment I've made out of 137 posts. I believe my rp; be it in the World Cup, in my domestic leagues, even in quidditch should also stand for themselves; I made an off-written comment which I've apologized for, since then, NK and I have been amiable and he seems to not have any ill wills towards me. While I am aware I may have garnered a slightly-rude reputation for that, I am committed to fixing that and proving to NS Sports that I am compatible, however, I do not believe my bid should be judged off a single comment.
Nor should that be the topic of discussion for a bid thread.

Regardless of whether or not you like the comment or if its in the past, that bolded statement is awfully dismissive of a legitimate concern centered around overall integrity.

Honestly, I think each of you should be junior partners with a more senior co-host. Not as partners. Too inexperienced, combined.

Why should the NS community vote for this bid over bidders with more experience? Not to diminish your current experience, but scoring domestic leagues and prestigious competitions such as the CoH are very different.

Hi SL -
Abaja has experience from over two years of scorinating his domestic circuit and also has experience from (co)-hosting IBC 23; which included slightly-more members than a typical Cup of Harmony, clocking in at 40 teams associated with it. He and Qasden both proved they were capable of hosting a well-recognized tournament, replicating that in the Cup of Harmony would be our goal.
I on the other hand and familiar decently to NS Sports; while I am sure that goes against me - I have successfully scorianted my domestic leagues without mishaps, and asking for more is incompatible as I have nothing more to give you. While my merit in NS Sports isn't up to par with the average nation who does in fact bid for a WCC-sanctioned event, I hope that doesn't go against this bid.

If IBC 23 is going to be labelled as a smooth tournament with no problems, then maybe this is a good time for me to finally figure out how on this Matchday, Nueva Celta's (Group B) PF of 172 and PA of 165 resulted in xkoranate providing a -9 PD? It's not on Abaja, but this has never been explained.

The same can be said of a few users, and isn't necessarily connected to how well a user can run a tournament.

We're attempting to judge off the merits of Abaja, so I believe we can again conclude that Abaja's scorination was observed as a good scorination procedure.
Included, further more; the other (co)-host of IBC 23 also (co)-hosted and bidded for the previous CoH and won; if this was a point of contention, wouldn't it have been brought up then?

Hello Cassadaigua

You may need to converse with the co-host. Since I was not in charge of scorinating the first half, I can't really have an explanation for that matter.

I certainly didn't know that, and if Raz wanted to, they would have put it in their bid.

(1) Fine with the bid, although issues around experience are a slight issue. However, I do trust Abaja so I see no reason to oppose this bid on this point.
(2) Raz's comments are an issue. However, they have apologised for them, and it is irrelevant to his hosting ability.
(3) Lack of RP in the World Cup. I also don't think this is an issue as to whether they can host or not. They just may not end up participating if they don't reach the world cup. Pretty sure people who have RPd can still judge RPs as objectively as possible, and I'm pretty sure nations which haven't RPd much before have hosted the CoH (don't quote me on that though).

I won't fully endorse this bid, as I refuse to endorse any bid until we vote in case a better bid does end up coming along, in which case I'd vote for that instead. However, I would be happy with a CoH joint-hosted by you two.

Best WorldVision Finish: 2nd. Best World Cup Finish: Quarter-Finals. Best KPB Rank: 8th. Best WBC Finish: 1st.

The same can be said of a few users, and isn't necessarily connected to how well a user can run a tournament.

Yeah... If this is about the time I yelled at him, that was not even a formal warning, and I don't think it should be a big deal. It certainly wasn't my intent for everyone to shun Raz.

I'd probably take Vilita's bid over this one, but that's just a personal preference because Vilita made a good impression on me in the threads where we have crossed paths. It's not a mod thing that everyone has to listen to.

Add me to the list of mods who doesn't think this has any real bearing on the bid as presented.

It can stand or fall on its own merits as a bid.
