- Positive Lightning: Instead of being your average lightning user, Grant can control the positive powers of electricity. This lightning manifests as a ghostly white, and has many beneficial properties. It can heal minor injuries such as cuts, minor burns, maybe a few minor fractures, and can even act as a defibrillator with enough time. As well, it slowly restore energy and strength. Finally, it acts as a minor holy weapon, and can actually harm demons and cambions, although this damage is only minor.
- Negative Lightning: Grant can also control the negative and destructive aspect of lightning, although he is more proficient with the positive side. With the negative, or black lightning, Grant can use his lightning to electrocute people, over-heat technology, cause minor explosions, and can even slow down healing factors, although not by much.
- Enhanced Reflexes:Due to the charges of electricity inside his body, Grant's electrical impulses move faster, giving him quicker reaction times and reflexes. This is more of a minor boost, and definitely not superhuman, but still much better than the average person.
- Healing Limitations: Grant's white lightning healing is...limited. The healing can heal burns, gashes, fractures and small bones, maybe even a gunshot with enough time. But repairing large bones, organs, or limbs? That's a no-go without him being at max strength and having a ton of time, and he might even pass out from exhaustion before he's done that.
- Damage Limitations: The black lightning is limited in damage output, as it can't short circuit an energy grid or burn someone badly. It's voltage is stronger than the average police taser, but isn't on par with electric fences, and normally is meant ot incapacitate rather than kill. As well, short circuiting devices takes a lot of time and concentration, depending on the complexity of the device. Finally, the healing factor slow is just that, a slow, it can't nullify a healing factor, and it doesn't slow it down very much, maybe adding one to two minutes for full recovery time, which can vary based on the strength of the healing factor.
- Grounding: Geomancers or those who can manipulate earth or other similar materials have a distinct advantage over Grant. Because he can't do shit to them. They can instantly dissipate his electricity by letting hit said material, leaving him powerless against them.
- Fight Thunder With Thunder: Grant also has a bad weakness against other electricity users, as they can manipulate his electricity, and use it against him for other purposes. By this point, it will all boil down to a game of reaction speed.
- Mental Attacks: While Grant can counter magic, mental attacks such as telepathy and emotional manipulation are things he does not have a counter to, leaving him a sitting duck.

- Animal Shapeshifting: Rachel can shapeshift into practically any vertebrae animal and use their natural abilities to her own advantage.
- Knowledge: While she can technically can transform into any animal she wants, Rachel's abilities seemed to be tied in with her knowledge of the animal itself. For animals she familiar with or often transforms into, she can instantly change her form into whatever she wants. However, if it's either an animal she's unfamiliar with or doesn't often shapeshift into, it can take quite some time for a transformation to occur, even sometimes never at all. Obviously, anything from outside of this planet is impossible for her to transform into, and she appears to only remain in her own form as a human meaning she's unable to disguise as someone else.
- Animal Physiology: Rachel can only do what a typical animal that she is transforming into could do. That means if she wants to run fast, transforming into a sloth will do her no favors.
- Standard attacks: Any standard attack that lands can injure Rachel, which will transfer over even if she shapeshifts back into a human. If she gets shot in the shoulder as a bear, every other form she has will have a similar injury.
- Fatigue: While she can quickly change from form to form, the process saps a lot of energy out of her if she's not careful. If she tries to change to much in a short period of time, she'll find herself completely drained and will revert back to her human form. To help compensate for this, she often eats a tremendous amount of food for her size, as the stored calories often act as a reserve tank for her in times of crisis.

Bio:
For as long as Rachel could remember, animals had always been a part of her life. Both of her parents were wildlife experts working for the San Diego Zoo, and thus she often spent many hours either watching her parents interacting with the various animals present or even occasionally visiting exotic locations as their parents often traveled the world as part of animal conservation efforts they frequently volunteered to help in. By the time she was 10, she could list of practically any given animal as well as a plethora of knowledge about them all. And while her love of animals may have been her biggest joy in life, she also seemed to enjoy constantly teasing the younger boys in her class, a trait that would continue on through her entire life.
For the longest time, Rachel's life seemed to be filled with nothing but happiness as she continued aiding her parents at work, seeming to have a natural talent for dealing with animals. However, these fun filled days were tragically halted, as she suddenly collapsed one day at the zoo while working with her parents. Her panicking parents rushed her to the hospital, where the doctors informed them that their 13 year old child was suffering from a form of liver cancer so severe that no conventional methods of treatment were viable.
However, they were presented with one solution, albeit one holding tremendous risk. A genetic research organization had developed a new potential cure for cancer, a virus which mutated the genetic structure within humans to allow them to change the cancerous cells back into healthy ones. Due to the high amount of money involved as well as risk factors, only a single human trial had been set aside, and with the help of connections the Johnson family had with a few higher ups within the organization as well as a substantial amount of money given to them, Rachel was chosen to be the test subject for the potential cure.
Barely able to move, Rachel nonetheless tried to give her parents a weak smile as she was carted off to a laboratory where the procedure would be done. When the virus was injected into her system via a needle, Rachel's body began to burn up as her body tried to unsuccessfully fight off the virus. There were several times where her heart nearly stopped, and if it hadn't been for the highly trained medical professionals watching over her at all times, she would have likely died during the process.
After several agonizing hours, Rachel's vitals finally stabilized, although the results were more than shocking for the observing researchers. Rachel's hair had turned completely green, and her teeth canines had become much more pronounced than they should have been. This was merely the minor changes, however, as when she regained consciousness her human body suddenly morphed into an actual hummingbird, allowing her to escape the restraints that had been put on her. She then proceeded to change into a full sized gorilla, followed by a wide variety of other animals ranging from small mice to a massive elephant. Seeing that she was out of control, one of the doctors plunged a syringe filled with sedatives into Rachel who was at the time a roaring tiger, causing her to pass out and regain her normal human form.
It had been a miracle that nobody had gotten hurt in the process, but too many questions had been raised. Further testing was done on Rachel, her parents unable to do anything for their child as they watched their little girl continue to morph into various animals every time she regained consciousness. While the variety was seemingly endless, they all shared two common traits: They were all vertebrates, and they all shared the light grey color that matched Rachel's hair when she returned to her human form.
After countless days, things began to look better for Rachel, as she no longer randomly morphed into other creatures, although her memory since the time of the injection was completely gone. After further tests were done as well as thorough questioning of the girl, the researchers were able to conclude that the virus they had introduced had not only altered the girl's genes in the sense that they could remove the cancerous cells, but in fact were able to change their patterns completely, which they theorized as the reasoning behind the girl's ability to shapeshift into other vertebrates. They chalked this up due to the extensive amount of knowledge and exposure she had with animals, and the initial random bouts of change was due to her brain not fully being in control of her body for some time.
Rachel spent the next several months within that research facility, the reason given to her by her parents being that it was for her own safety. The real reasoning, however, was that due to the agreement her parents had signed prior to the injection the research facility had every right to demand her to remain while they studied the effects of the now clearly unsafe drug. They did their best to ensure she remained comfortable, but she quickly became restless.
One night, she managed to escape her living quarters and finally was able to see the outside world once more. She explored the San Diego city line with a freedom never afforded to a human before, taking on the shapes of various creatures as she went about. For her, it was a truly thrilling experience, but as the sun began to rise she realized she needed to return. When she finally did, she found her parents in tears as they had feared that Rachel had left forever. Changing back into her human form, she comforted them with a promise to never do anything like that again and that she would do whatever the researchers wanted so that she could go back to previous life.
And she did exactly that, adhering to all the various procedures done to her before the researchers finally gave them permission for her to return home. This was done under the agreement that she could be called up for further testing if requested, much to her annoyance. When they returned home, the family spent over a week in each others company, enjoying the fact that Rachel had been given a new chance at life, albeit one drastically different than before.
Although, for the most case, nothing really had changed for Rachel. She was still the care-free girl who loved both animals and to tease her male classmates, much to her father's dismay. She continued to help her parents with their work, using her new found abilities while doing it. While at first being able to consciously choose what animal she wanted to be as well as stay in its form for any long periods was difficult for her, she soon found herself gradually gaining more and more control over her powers.
By the time she reached high school age, her parents decided to send her to Thomsen High School, a school where adolescents who likewise possessed powers and abilities were allowed to attend school without fear of mockery or fear. Rachel's habit of teasing boys seemed to dramatically increase there, as her growing body coupled with the boys' new found appreciation for such things allowed her to often make the boys make fools of themselves. She was never serious in her flirtations, however, and saw her acts as a game of sorts.
During her senior year's summer, tragedy once again seemed to strike for her and her family, as the group of super villains attacked the zoo. However, their plans were thwarted thanks to the efforts of a group of young heroes who would shortly be known as the Young Bloods. Rachel and her parents ended up being saved personally by the teen heroes, and ever since then she has been hooked on following their exploits.
Then came the day where she eventually decided watching from afar was no fun, and since then her true journey began.

- Harold: Harold, Edward's steed, was also brought to life alongside him, and has also been granted supernatural powers. Harold can run up to 65km/h, faster than most champion racehorses, and has been gifted with superhuman strength and durability, able to take a shotgun to the body and keep moving. His hooves also have enhanced toughness, and can break ribs by simply kicking. Finally, Harold has been gifted with enhanced senses of smell and hearing, being able to discern odors better than police bloodhounds, and can hear noises as low as ten decibels several feet away.
- Might of Lords: Edward also has powers, similar to Harold. Black magic preformed on his skeleton as well as the enchanted armor he wears gives him superhuman strength, speed, and durability, enough to rival other powerful metahumans. At his prime, Edward can lift and throw cars or kick down reinforced doors, run at speeds of Olympic sprinters, and survive being hit by a sniper.
- Weapon Mastery: Despite only having been a knight for three years before his death, his six years as a squire as well as his prowess on the battlefield have given him mastery or strong prowess over several medieval weapons such as broadswords, falchions, battle axes, maces, basilard daggers, lances, and even crossbows.
- Harold: Harold has limits to his strength. His speed caps at 65 km/h, and that is at his prime level of stamina, and he has never been clocked at going faster.
As well, his durability and power have limits as well. While he can take a shotgun to the body, a shot to the head/face, or several blunt/sharp trauma wounds across the body is enough to kill him or bleed him out. He's durable, but he's not invincible. His hooves can break ribs or fingers all right, but cracking large bones like a skull or a femur is very difficult and would take multiple kicks to break, a luxury he does not have the time for in the heat of battle.- The Limited Might of Lords: Edward also has limits to his strength. Lifting cars or punching down doors is all fine and dandy, but that comes at his full stamina, and he can't do much more than that. Lifting aircraft carriers, destroying building foundations, forcing open a hydraulic press? You've got the wrong knight for the job.
Not to mention his limited speed and durability. Edward can't run faster than 25 km/h on foot. Sure, he can run on the level of Olympic sprinters, but, there are plenty who are faster. As well, his durability, while it may be the most impressive part of him, is also limited. While he can survive a sniper hit to the chest, and even get up from it, a hit to the head can incapacitate him quite easily, and strong forces or hits from superhumans could probably take him out.- So Many Weapons, So Little Space: Edward can control carious medieval weapons. The only problem? He can't exactly carry all of them at once. Usually, he can only bring three or four weapons with him at a time, simply because of space restraints and teh fact that it's difficult to hold that many weapons at once.
- Fragile: Despite having enchanted armor, Edward is still a human. So if his armor is pierced, it's very easy to take out Edward. Despite being "undead", he can be killed again, he can be wounded, get sick, and needs sleep, food, and water like every other normal guy.
- Long Range: Edward has pitiful attack range, his only long-range weapon being a crossbow, which is difficult to shoot on horseback. So, basically all of his attacks are melee, and he can be taken out easily by long-range fighters, magicians, or mental attackers.

it took me way too long to realize that Austin is actually Red and not a some sort of in-joke being put in the description of every single sketch.
