Kogyokist and Islamist ideology are similar in all the wrong ways, and I would compare them to a disease which needs to be kept away from liberal democracies and other, equally civilized states. Both thrive on hatred and fear, and react to objection with violence.

Both also treat women like cattle, so in a society where the women have not been raised from birth to accept such nonsense, I would say it is hardly a surprise at least half of the population want nothing to do with either of them.

The other half don't tend to want much either, having been raised to treat women with respect.

Thankfully, neither of them has ever found much purchase here. As with any disease, prevention is the key.

I don't why the government officially backed Kojiro's statement on diversity.
