As for the bill at hand, it is a good bill, with solid goals and execution alike. I am particularly happy to see the provisions for reducing food waste through donation to those in need, and while I hope that this can become an even larger part of our food cycle here in Galatea, this bill is definitely a good start. I will be voting in favor."

"Mr Speaker, I would like to place on record my full support for the intentions of this bill. That said, I do want two alterations made in it.

Mr Speaker, I move that Section 5 be amended as follows:
Subsection (a):
No one shall prohibit the donation of apparently wholesome and hygienic food products to food banks.

Subsection (c):
Government agencies and entities and businesses or individuals that contract with government agencies and entities to provide food shall be required to donate unused, apparently wholesome and hygienic, food products to a food bank.
