Here is a map of the region as it currently stands: The Kurdish People's State has tried to consolidate their gains in the southwest. However, their attempts to do this have costed them greatly. We managed to take back the city of Ergani on February the 12th. We have been pushing them back ever since. We managed to separate the Lake Van Golu forces form the primary western forces. The Lake Van Golu forces have now been completely encircled and are sitting on the edge of defeat. Their primary western forces are slowly being chipped away. Our air campaign has crippled their ground forces. Their inability to strongly counter our fighters has let many of their forces open to attack. They have faced several crippling blows to their forces due to this. The cites of Diyarbarkir and Mardin are sitting on the edge of being liberated. Our forces are preparing for a full assault on those two cites. The cites of Siirt and Sirnak are also on the verge of being liberated. In the far east of the Kurdish Autonomous Zone sits the forces of the Army of Free Kurdistan. This is a group of republican Kurds who rose up against the KPS between the days of February 11th and February 14th. Since then, they have taken a relatively vast portion of the eastern Kurdistan. They have agreed to assist us in stopping the KPS from seizing control of Kurdistan. They will be vital in assuring the future peace and stablity of Kurdistan. As it sits now, it seems the KPS is on the verge of collapse. Hopefully, we will soon be able to stabilize the region. Election day is upon us. The time to select the next leader of Mashriq finally come, early polls indicated a General Mohammad bin Abdul Khaliq and Wajeeb al-Salaam. Later polls showed that Mohmmad started gaining more support, outdoing al-Salaam. Elections concluded earlier today with Mohammad bin Abdul Khaliq as the victor and new Prime Minister. Prime Minister-elect Mohammad won 32 of the 50 Governorates, or 64% of them. He will be inaugurated March 28th. As the new Prime Minister, he needs a Deputy Prime Minister. His pick for Deputy Prime Minister will be Assemblyman Rashid al-Tikriti. His cabinet is expected to be filled by July.

After the NGU announced it's requests for various countries, Mikhail Siekmeshko reminded Sietskians and the rest of the world that Perestroika is still in progress. More and more small cities are having elections. However, transition from totaliarian communism to socialism is difficult and will require many resources. Belstadt Al-Sudan, known by Sietskians as Belstadt, has been going through a wave of islamization after it's independence. It's government has been hostile to Sietskian diplomats, and refused any form of aid. However, the poverty is now a serious problem and they are willing to accept the helping hand of Sietsk. Volunteers will travel to Khartoum's slums in order to help the citizens living there, and possibly bringing them to Sietsk.

West African Federation, Axum Make Official Demands

President Wengu Salbahar of the West African Federation paraded around Lagos with a formal list of demands to Vanavoian government. This is following WAF claims placed on the Northern Viceroyalty territories. Salbahar and the WAF Diet convened shortly after their naval modernization program ended in order to draft the ultimatum. Within one month, the Vanavoian government must:



-Surrender the northern Viceroyalty territories to their "Historical" owner
-Pay $20Bn in reparations to citizens of the Viceroyalty
-Allow for the repatriation of any Viceroyalty citizens of Bantu background to their "historic" motherland


The Axumite Rabbi council has issued far sterner demands to Himyar which can be easily summed up as, "give us South Arabia or face a full scale invasion." Himyar officials have be meeting the demands with further militarization, but with potential military intervention by the rest of the CPP, it seems unlikely that the Himyar people will be able to withstand the coming onslaught.

As a result, the People's Republic of Zakalistan issues an official ultimatum to Vanavoy:

1. Vanavoy is to cease any and all hostile action towards Prussiaholm and Zakalistan allies.
2. Vanavoy is to cede its ultimatum, and remain in its own sphere.
3. Vanavoy is to issue an official apology to Prussiaholm, Zakalistan, and all following nations.
4. Vanavoy has one month to respond.

If Vanavoy is to refuse this ultimatum, it will be considered an act of war, and will be met accordingly with the full force of the Zakalistani Army, Navy, Air Force, and Special Operations Bureau, along with the Panjali Army, Navy, and Air Force. Refuse, and Vanavoy will be punished.

​In a rare series of tweets earlier this morning, Prime Minister Alfred Herbert Page signaled his disappointment with the Prusso-Vanavoian War and the need for "a new economic and political order" in Europe.

The tweets are seen as one of the first public opinions of the Prime Minister since the outbreak of the war between Vanavoy and Prussiaholm. A few days earlier, the Prime Minister talked about how the escalation by outside nations could lead to "another world war."

"The people of the Nationalist Gold Union, as well as the rest of the world, do NOT want another world war," tweeted the PM last Wednesday. "Vanavoy, Prussiaholm, and Noxtrem should come around and discuss a solution to this conflict -- and pointless posturing and threats by Panjal and Zakalistan aren't helping!"

He went on to say, "The NGU is committed to solving the global economic depression. The proliferation of pointless war (by all sides) isn't helping."

However, he clarified his position earlier after receiving flak from the official account of the Bosphorous Union.

"Commenting the statement from the NGU's spokesman, we are firmly convinced that Prussiaholm must only be seen as an innocent victim of Vanavoy and Noxtrem, and not as their partner in the destabilization of Europe," tweeted the official account of the Bosphorous government.

Page later tweeted that he agreed with the position of the Bosphorous Union, and wanted to meet with the Prime Minister in either Caspia or Constantinople to "have a productive discussion on the matter".

Afterwards, Page tweeted that "Vanavoy and Noxtrem shouldn't be killing thousands of their fellow Germans for petty political purposes," which can almost be interpreted as an explicit condemnation of the war. He also jabbed at Panjal and Zakalistan's threats to Vanavoy, saying, "The NGU is willing to sponsor a ceasefire negotiation, but the actions by Panjal and Zakalistan won't help that event happen."

When the Caspia Chronicle reached out to the Prime Minister's office to clarify the details of the aforementioned ceasefire negotiation, there was no response.

Ultimately, the Nationalist Gold Union's position in this war is unclear. After it broke out, the NGU seized the three Atlantic island chains of Vanavoy, but solely cited "security concerns" and faced suspiciously little resistance. Additionally, many within the government have stood opposed to the Panjali intervention in the war.

"Countries like Panjal shouldn't be granted a foothold in Europe," said Senator Jim Ktongo of the Southeast Bantu Free State. "Panjal has enough problems as-is, and their blockade, starving of Europeans, and threats of military intervention are not helping create some sort of peace in the continent."

On the contrary, a bill in the National Assembly that would outright condemn Vanavoy's actions against Prussiaholm is struggling to gain traction. Many in the Christian Right are fiercely pro-Vanavoy, many in the Catholic voting bloc oppose a war in the "Catholic homeland", and many in the Confederation party oppose the condemnation for "being interventionist." The opinion of the National Assembly seems to essentially be, "not our problem."

Regardless, PM Page's tweets this morning seem to defy the position of the National Assembly, wanting the Nationalist Gold Union to take a leadership position in promoting European peace efforts. Whether or not Page's bid comes too late is still to be seen.

The Colony of White Africa knows freedom once more. After Viceroy Davide Ferricci announced that he was declaring neutrality in the Vanavoian-Prussiaholm War, the black natives took up arms against the privileged whites. This news comes within the first week after Shimon fun Kaufmann’s inauguration as Viceroy and Governor of Vanavoy following the snap election called for by fun Kaufmann’s own party, the J-CDU (Judeo-Christian Democratic Union). Unconfirmed reports signal that Viceroy fun Kaufmann is scheduling a meeting in Wännerstadt to formalize a relationship with an independent Grey Africa.

Too many surprises, Uchechi has decided to continue some oddly chosen policies of Vanavoy in the region. Notably, he has actively endorsed “Brown Energy” and has called for increased work on the yet-to-be-named City-wide Casino and Colosseum being built in the middle of the rainforest. When asked about this in an interview he burst out laughing and had to stop the interview and catch his breath before continuing. Some others have questioned his effectiveness as a leader in terms of his health. Some, such as the late social justice activist Keleki Schwarzmann, who sadly passed away in a drive-by shooting on his porch just hours ago, had criticized all 300 pounds of him, citing that he will likely have a heart attack before he’s 50. Despite all of this, Uchechi has unrivaled support, seemingly due to his intensely jingoistic policies, which are very popular among the many War Clans, Battle Hordes, and Slaughter Mobs throughout the nation. Interestingly, Uchechi has actually called for an additional 200,000 Africans be sent to Europe to, as he put it “put some hair on the backs of the lazy daisies growing up these days.” Uchechi also vehemently supports fighting the war in Prussiaholm without mercy. Fun Kaufmann has purportedly sent a communique to Uchechi asking him to tone down the rhetoric.

As the great horde of Africsmen comes upon town after town, they show no mercy to the enemy soldiers or any civilians who haven’t evacuated. Although the newly elected Viceroy, fun Kaufmann, has urged the African regiments to be more merciful, they have not headed his words in the slightest. One European soldier reports:

Just three or so days ago, those fools came to a minefield. We told them to hold back and we’d clear it with artillery, but they didn’t listen. Now, with complete honesty I’m telling you this, they just gave out some unintelligible war cry and ran across the minefield. Our commander kept screaming into his radio for them to cease the advance, but they just kept going. There were body parts just flying everywhere, they painted the field red. I swear to God some of ‘em were frothing at the mouth just bookin’ it right ahead. They eventually made it to the other side and they sped up to capture of Rodewisch, but this town has a population of 3,000 and at least 5,000 of them got blown to bits in the minefield.

Another soldier reported a similar experience:

“We’ve had trouble keeping up and we have vehicles. They’re just running through the countryside and we still struggle to keep up with them ever time we stop to refuel. We were going through this one town, forgive me I don’t recall the name, but we identified a fortified enemy position and we were getting ready to hit them with an air strike, then a whole company of them come running right at the enemy position. Not a single one made it to the position. I mean, seriously, over a hundred of them just ran right into the enemy fire and got gunned down”

The Vanavoian Army has had incredibly high casualties, most of them volunteers from Africa. Over 32,000 African casualties have already been reported. On the other hand, the recklessness of the current advance has resulted in surprisingly large swaths of territory already taken from Prussiaholm. Leipzig and Dresden are already under siege and Vanavoian troops are getting closer and closer to Kreigsberg

​​​Inter-Commonwealth Convention called for 2021



Commonwealth governments agreed on
a time and location


​Following a brief meeting among representatives from the governments of all 12 commonwealths and autonomous commonwealths of the Nationalist Gold Union, the first Inter-Commonwealth Convention has been called to take place next year.

According to the Commonwealth Federal Acts passed in 2015, the Commonwealths of the Nationalist Gold Union, which are the main administrative divisions of the union, are allowed to call a convention and send delegates to write a charter of policies that would be debated on and sent to the legislature for approval. The policies of the Inter-Commonwealth Charter are supposed to regard to issues that pertain inter-Commonwealth relations and development, such as land disputes, taxes, or infrastructure.

After a brief meeting among representatives from every commonwealth, it was announced that the first Inter-Commonwealth Convention would take place on the island of Bermuda in Spring of 2021.

Delegates from each Commonwealth and Autonomous Commonwealth (12 in total) are sent to the meeting location in Bermuda. The delegates negotiate and debate on a charter of policies regarding inter-Commonwealth relations, such as borders, trade, economy, organization, etc.

In order for a policy to be added to the charter, more than 50% of the delegates (6 or more) must agree to it. After the agenda is completed and all policies have been voted on, the delegates will vote on whether or not to adopt the charter as a whole. In order to be approved, the charter must receive at least 75% of the delegates’ (9 or more) approval and signature.

Afterwards, the charter will be presented to the National Assembly of the Nationalist Gold Union, who will vote to approve or overturn the charter. If the National Assembly overturns the charter, then it will return to the Convention, where they will modify it accordingly to pass in the National Assembly or scrap it altogether.

If the charter passes in the National Assembly, it will then be reviewed by the Senate. The Senate is allowed to suggest revisions or modifications, but nothing is binding. After the Senate gives assent to the charter, the Leader of the Union will decide to affirm it or scrap it.

On the 2021 agenda are issues such as:


• Commonwealth budgets to supply Five-Year Plan funds
  
• Continued inter-commonwealth highway and rail development
  
• Position on separatism and independence referendums
• Status of autonomous commonwealths
• Redrawing provincial and commonwealth borders to reflect ethno-linguistic divides
• Status of systems of government (one for every commonwealth or freedom of choice a la status quo)
• Status of Rhodesia and the Suidwes
• Re-establishment of commonwealth monarchies (Grand Duchies, Principalities, Kingdoms, etc.)
• 10% party law for general elections
• Status of militias and commonwealth armies


The Prime Minister has given his official assent, and stated that "federal politics are essential to the integrity of our dear Union."

Official Government Release 04/19/2020 Status of the War It's been nearly two months since the utterly ridiculous Vanavoian invasion of Prussiaholm. Despite overwhelming odds, our troops are holding them off valiantly. Recently, successful offenses were made into enemy forces in Leipzig and Dresden. With this, we hope to make a strong counter offensive into enemy territory. A healthy amount of 40,000 volunteers, as well as the conscripted soldiers give us the force and manpower we need to push into enemy territory. To make up for this increase in spending, we've had to make some budget cuts in other areas of spending. The research and development of the Deutcheskampfer Blitz M2 have halted, as well as many other projects. We hope to make sure our troops get paid above 20,000 marks and allocate enough budget to maintain and run all of our equipment. West African Federation Acts on Ultimatum

President Wengu Salbahar, along with other members of the Central Powers Pact, has not recognized the legitimacy of the State of Grey Africa and has officially regarded it as a, "pliable puppet state that was given a free pass to kill potential troublemakers among the colonial elite." The recent deployment of several hundred thousand troops overseas in a nation with a garrison numbering dangerously low has seemed to confirmed the suspicions of the CPP. That being said the intention behind the foreign policy decisions of the new warlord in Chief could very well be in line with his simple stated motivations.

Salbahar greenlit a rapid deployment of the 1st Field Army to seize the Northern Provinces immediately following the ultimatum's deadline. What few border security forces were present where quickly overwhelmed by the WAF forces. The State of Grey Africa is still largely disorganized due to the loss of pre-uprising officers, supply lines, and administrative personnel. This is concerning for the young nation as the WAF armed forces are among the best in the region, potentially beating out the "elite" NGU Weermag. Salbahar vehemently denied territorial ambitions outside of the two "historical" provinces in the North, but it remains to be seen if he will keep his word.

The West African Navy has effectively blockaded the major Northwest ports of the former colony. This does not bode well for the future economic prospects of the region. Perhaps the African bubble is doomed to burst within the year?

Mass Shooting in East Sulawesi Hotel

Earlier this morning H&R Bloc teams responded to an active crime scene involving a disgruntled local who had, "had enough of the f**king Sietskans and their incessant bass music." The suspect, now in urgent care and pending trial, was a local contractor who lived next to a hotel favored by Eastern European travelers for its low price and bilingual staff. The contractor complained 327 times to the Hotel about noise, public drinking, degeneracy, and property damage caused by "Sietskans".

After a particularly loud all-night party, the man snapped and began to shoot at the dancing europeans from his rooftop with what has been confirmed to be a surplus DShK machinegun purchased from the PDF's official online store. Thankfully for the tourists the firearm proved to be highly unreliable and the gunman was only able to kill 6 people. Unfortunately another 34 were injured to some degree. 3 have been confirmed to be in critical condition and are being transported to Beaufort, Borneo where trauma specialists can attempt to stabilize them.

The PDF and Board of Directors have refused to comment, citing it as a "Factional Law Enforcement failure."

The small area of deployment, which is nicknamed the "Katanga bottleneck", has been frequently used for transport and travel between NGU and Vanavoy-controlled Africa.

"What's happened in the Congo is a disaster of apocalyptic proportions," said General Willem op de Haar, who runs the Weermag and the governments of Rhodesia and the Suidwes. "We'll be working with both military forces of the Southeast Bantus and the Union as a whole to assist refugees in crossing into Rhodesia and the rest of the Cape."

Most of the refugees are of European descent. The Cape Center for Migration has stated that over 10,000 white Africans have already applied for asylum and migration in fears of what the majority government would do to the minority white population.

Prime Minister Alfred Herbert Page, whose term has been marked with record high rates of immigration, has told Cape authorities that "the state is willing to help in any means necessary to guarantee the safe passage of these people from the Congo."

While the Weermag and SEBA have technically violated Grey African territorial sovereignty by deploying and assisting emigration, there has been no response from the Grey African government.

​A series of actions were made in the past few days that many consider the official cutting of diplomatic and economic ties between the Nationalist Gold Union and Ubizytotska.

Several decrees were signed that would demand the exit of every single Ubizytotskan in the Nationalist Gold Union who is currently visiting, a non-citizen, or not an immediate family member of an NGU citizen. The Interior ministry said that all Ubizytotskans have one month to exit the country or face forceful deportation. This comes after several months of deteriorating NGU-Ubizytotskan relations following the trade ban imposed on the NGU by Ubizytotska.

Shortly after the announcement of deportation was made, an order was signed to shut down the Ubizytotskan embassy within 2 months and have all staff return back to their home country. Additionally, Ubizytotskan passports will no longer be accepted in the country.

In a meeting earlier today in Svallbard, NGU ambassador to APSIA Donald Cohen reportedly was harassed based on his Jewish ancestry by the Ubizytotskan ambassador, Fedor Romanoff.

Cohen says that Romanoff was standing several feet away from him when he said "get your nose out of my face."

"A country like Ubizytotska, which routinely and actively attacks all religious people in the country regardless of their faith, doesn't deserve to be taken seriously. Their anti-Semitic attacks on fellow ambassadors is disgusting and cruel," Cohen told the Chronicle. "The people of the Nationalist Gold Union know this, in addition to the dozens of times that Ubizytotska has backstabbed us on the global stage."

In press report, foreign affairs minister John Paquin stated that "the Nationalist Gold Union has no purpose in interacting or recognizing Ubizytotska in any capacity, ever."

"Get your nose out of my face.", seven words. Seven words is all it took for the Nationalist Gold Union to forcefully deport all Ubizytotskans in the Nationalist Gold Union. Politicians have stated that "It's a real shame to see a nation that holds itself so highly to strike sucha low blow over a childish remark."

Sources claim that when Fedor Romanoff read the The Caspia Chronicle, he openly laughed and stated. "They really got that upset about it? It was merely a joke."

Nevertheless, in response to the Gold Union's childish behavior, Ubizytotskan police forces have forcefully locked down the NGU embassy in Stoyabrovka. The Nationalist Gold Union has been put on notice by the Ubizytotskan government, and further action may be taken.

Hopefully, we all hope this is resolved peacefully.

Panjali Secretary of State Tuntun Singh met with Vanavoian diplomat Shlomo Finkelstein along with Prussiaholmer diplomat Emilia Braun to sign an official ceasefire between Vanavoy and Prussiaholm. The meeting was held in Mr. Singh's private residence in Panaji, where he reportedly cooked a full dinner for both visiting diplomats. When asked about the meeting afterwards, Secretary Singh stated "they's bonded over my home cookings." Along with the ceasefire, all ships which have been blockading the northern coast of Vanavoy are to be withdrawn and return home, and all Vanavoian ships which have been blockading Prussiaholm are to do the same. The Panjali Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also stated they are in contact with Zakalistani officials to discuss rescinding their blockade in the south.

When asked about the ceasefire, Premier Kapadia stated "I applaud Secretary Singh for his calm and hospitable approach to such a tense situation. Thanks to him, there once again hope for lasting peace in Europe."

It is yet to be seen if the peace the Premier speaks of is to be achieved.

They have not been able to hold off our forces, and they have been completely overrun in many areas. Their territory has been reduced to nothing more than the city of Midyat and the territory surrounding it. Here is a map of the region. What remains of their forces is demoralized and weak. We hope to be able to negotiate peace with the rebels, rather than having to launch an assault on the city. Of course, if they are unwilling to negotiate, then we will attack the city. With the rebels nearly gone, the future of the Kurdish Autonomous Region has come into question. While the majority of Kurds do not support a socialist state, a majority do support independence. This sentiment was reflected when the Free Kurdish Army re branded itself as the "Kurdish Republic". With this noted, the President of Byzankomenos has agreed to allow joint control of the KAS with the Kurdish Republic. He has also agreed to an official independence referendum to take place in the KAS. Until then, the army will maintain a presence in the KAS until things are stabilized.
