While the style and detail of a wedding gown vary depending on how rich or poor the groom is (or the bride's family in some cases), a typical Hadinian wedding gown looks like this.

The party doesn't happen until the morning after; richer citizens will entertain at home or in a rented out venue; poorer citizens will party at the pub. There are only two laws that protect a Hadinian woman from a forced marriage; if they are under 15, they cannot be married at all. If they are over 15, and intelligent enough, they can seek to apply as a nun with the local church. If the priest deems them competent enough, they cannot be married off --- but they must enter a cloister and cannot leave the nunnery. As for whether or not they kiss, they do. Specifically, there's a bit of ceremony to it. The husband must lift his wife's veil from her face, turn her to any audience present, and then turn her back to him and kiss her. Whether she wants him to or not. The bride is not allowed to kiss back or show any reaction to the kiss at all, even if she was lucky enough to marry someone she actually liked. It's a strange, sterile affair.
