For the record, The Wanderer will not be interacting with anyone save a few Abruzians much later. Yes I realize it is godmod to have him be immortal like he is but I was hoping that it'd be cool since he's not wrecking people's shit but describing the devastation and sorrow. That said I'd be happy to write him out (despite having Azura's permission) if the majority wants him out.

The answer is simple, my forces are the 4th Azurian Legionarres, they were already stationed on the border, when this diaster hit.

No foreign legion unit was stationed in New Azura at the time of the attack, in part because it was my FOREIGN LEGION, stationed respectively in Cape Marguerite, Cullowhee, Berchtesgarden, and Azuran Judea. If you were in Azura, you'd be at my central dispersal compound at Vandengaarde - the SOURCE of the nuclear attacks in Azura.

Sorry for not clarifying mate; I've been sick since last week, and just got out of the hospital a few hours ago; otherwise, I would have cleared this up then.

However I am leaving in such a way as to allude to continued Closian aid supplies being ferried. Roughly Two or Three standard Cargo containers of standard humanitarian supplies every week coming in to help is roughly what I was going to establish but new Azura you can just claim them coming in.

Your planes were detected by IR signature. There is no way that you can stealth the IR signature of a scramjet exhaust. An anti-ABM system is designed to engage RV's travelling at 18,000+ MPH. Nope, metamaterials. I invest a shit load of money in my military so take stealth coating, materials and shapes, then add a scramjet and ta da. Its no more unrealistic than manned orbital laser satellites. If it were so plausible why are there none today?. IR signature is impractical at ranges longer than a few miles. The crack is there because it is impossible to completely lock out a nation. Every nation on Earth has a loophole. Not having even a tiny one would be a god mod I believe.

The satellites are unmanned, there is a space station that serves as a command center. (Last I know, there is a real one in orbit today). I am MT+5, as likely are hypersonics.

Now, as far as satellite detection. That is how ICBM's are detected from satellites. The IR plume from a scramjet aircraft will rival an ICBM first stage booster. Stealth is not by any means a cloaking device.

For this, you are ignored. Your planes were able to fly in through some "radar gap" that you made up (never mind that I have AWACS and RORSATS scanning the skies), drop cargo, fly out of Gholgoth, and land without giving anyone a chance to further intercept you.

High altitude and fast is the worst way to do it. You want to go low and slow. Or just send some conventional air-freight conversions of airliners. Land at one of our airports, quickie inspection, on your way with the relief. No problem.

BS, this isnt PMT or FT, you cant have manned orbital laser satellites capable of targeting hypersonic aircraft, Im sure. Plus they are stealth so how the hell did you find them in the first place. However, if that is the way you wish to play.

Okay, hi, I'm an Aerospace Engineering student.

Hypersonic and stealth aren't happening. When you consider that at "hypersonic" speeds (a speed that can be successfully defended as starting anywhere from Mach 3 to Mach 12) the shock waves produced by the aircraft are strong enough to reflect radar all by themselves, you're not going to be stealth. When you consider that your exhaust plume will reflect radar, and that the shock waves and exhaust plume will be visible from space on a pair of foggy cold war vintage IR goggles worn by Commander Peter Mendevev of the Eurasian Socialist Republic's People's Space Program for the Furthering of the Socialist Revolution, there's nothing to be done. When you consider that basically no aircraft is stealth from longwave radar regardless of its design, you're not going to be stealth. (sure, Longwave has shitty rez, but if they know you're there within a grid square, they can send folks to look for you) And I won't eve touch the current issues with hypersonic vehicles. (namely the whole "lighting a match in a hurricane" issues of running the Scramjets)



Stealth is about sneaking at low altitude. Stealth is about staying subsonic, so the air around you doesn't turn into a lolhuge radar reflector.



EDIT: the alternative is we can launch a stealth hypersonic strike and nuke your nation out of existence with no repercussions, since you can't track us after all. <.< I assure you the reality based way is better for everyone.

Promptly at the five minute the lasers fired. They streaked down upon the decoys. One beam however headed straight for Echo 3. It hit the plane causing a brilliant white light to engulf the plane. Strangely it kept pace with the other planes. The beam died out and the plane seamed to be engulfed blacksmoke for a few seconds. Then it burst out from the smoke looking shnier than it had been before it left. Take that cocksuckers, they dont call these babies Phoenixes for nothing the pilot thought as the planes streaked out of operational range of the lasers.

The San Monahan region was decimated by the attack; you're not likely to find much alive, to be honest. We're turning everything to the east to go after Solm's Rogue Legion; otherwise, should just be refugees in the south.
