Of course, it claims to be 100% true and accurate. Even if someone else says different. The agency was founded in 1982 and is the only completely state-run media corporation in Lillorainen.

Lillamala/Melapolis. Like every year, Lillorainen's National Memorial Day is celebrated all over the nation. The reason is the peace treaty that got signed on April 4, 1976, after one and a half year of Civil War. And like every time, a beer fest is being organized for this day, where everyone may show up and get as much beer as he or she wants. There is a happy hour where the beer is for free. After that, one glass costs only 0.50 Mark.

For this year, President Silas Flemming has planned something special: the beer fest will take place in the New Town district of Melapolis, and there will be free towels for everyone; "Don't Panic!" is written on them. The reason is that Flemming is a big fan of the novel The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, which is very popular in Lillorainen in general. He has planned this for years - for today, April 4, 2018, when the end of the Civil War dates back exactly 42 years.

Flemming gave his traditional speech from the beer fest at 5:30 PM - "just before I get too drunk to be able to give it."

In advance, some members of the Meritocratic Council had expressed concerns about this idea. For example, MMC Sarah Wiegand had not been sure if this might be a bit tasteless, considering how much of a tragedy the Civil War had been, and that especially the people of Terra Bianca, who had suffered most back then, might feel offended and made fun of. Flemming, whose parents went missing during the war, had meant, "Why always so serious, Sarah?" - though, the MC had decided to hold a popular consultation. For Wiegand's and other MMC's surprise, the vast majority of the populace liked the idea, especially because of its message "don't panic" - which describes the general mentality of the Lillorainians quite accurately.

As far as we know right now, the beer fest is being fun for everyone attending. Even leading politicians show up. Probably our reporters won't be sober enough to pass more information to us.

So, then - Cheers, Lillorainen! To the next 42 years of peace, and don't panic.
