Back at 2017, i saw a alternate US flag on a forum, it had a navy blue background, two red stripes at the top side with several stars inside and a dope roaring red snek at the center. Pretty cool. UR's flag was inspired by it and this flag (made by rvbomally) was used as a base.

well, let's settle in for a history lesson on symbolism.

The prominent halved red cross represents St George's Flag, traditional symbol of England, which is also part of the White Ensign of the Royal Navy; shortly after Baker Park became a permanent Crown Commercial Colony, the Ensign was modified by the addition of the sword and crown motif used by Lord Lieutenants of counties in Great Britain.

Upon the passage of the Commonwealth of Baker Park Act, which separated the country from the rule and sphere of the British Empire, the flag was again altered; the arrival of Prince Frederick of Oldenburg as the nation's Head of State saw the addition of a dark blue overlaid cross to the outside of the red St George Cross, at a ratio of about 1:4 in size, to represent the flag of the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg; in addition, gold & black crosses were overlaid to the outside of the blue addition, at the same ratio in size to the original red, representing both elements of the German Imperial flag & the gold and black elements of St David's Cross, the unofficial Welsh equivalent of the crosses that make up the British Union Jack.

By the mid 1930's there was strong popular feeling to have a new, original design for a national Commonwealth flag; 2 different competitions were convened to accept proposals for changes to the flag and both received over 1,000 entries each. In 1939, four finalists were chosen, but the final decision and implementation did not occur until the beginning of 1946.

The winning design incorporated the red, blue, gold & black stripe motif as the basis for a new interpretation of the old flag; one part of the Union Flag was detached to represent the immigration to the Commonwealth from both Scotland and Ireland, while the four stripes at the center were meant to represent the English, Welsh and German influences in the population. The red and gold stripes that made up part of the coat of arms of the House of Oldenburg were also seen, and the top portion of the flag references the Great Seal of the Commonwealth of Baker Park, with the depiction of the constellation Andromeda on a light blue morning sky. Alternatively, the flag can also include the Coat of Arms of the Commonwealth on the lower white field as representing the authority of the Government.

The flag was first flown as the official symbol of the Commonwealth on November 11, 1947, the 55th anniversary of the founding of the country.

I did a search for "vampire symbol". This is the one I liked the most, and I used Inkscape to make a better version.

I was creating Andoleen as a monarchy and my first flag project was basically a Scottish flag but with green instead of blue. Later, I realised that similarity is too obvious, so I replaced it with straight cross, like scandinavian one. It looked too poorly for me though, so I wanted to add something. I thought that brown looks good with green so I added a brown shield in the centre. Then I added a deer with a crown on that shield and this was flag of the Kingdom of Andoleen.

After a while, I decided to switch to a republic, so I decided to change the flag. I took a french republican flag pattern, changed colours to brown/white/green and added a deer on the white field.

Later, communists took power, so they replaced a deer, symbol of andoleenian tradition, with a red star

A purple background with an eye to present the nations favourite colour and the authoritarian government.

I thought of three colors I thought looked good and added a cross.

The colors weren't inspired from any nation, as by the time I made the flag already, only then did I learn that Sierra Leone shared the colors of my flag but in darker hues. And apparently the flag of the Confederation of the Rhine had a flag similar to mine.
