Rosters

Welcome to the 80th World Cup, being hosted by the Equestrian States and Starblaydia!

Nations that have signed up for World Cup 80 are to post their rosters here. Rosters should (at minimum) list your 11 starting players and their reserves. Participants may also wish to include background information on their players, manager/head coach, and any other staff members their teams might have. It is suggested that information on national stadiums also be included in roster posts, as they are commonly-used elements in many participants' RPs.

Other information participants may include in their posts include: formations, strategies/tactics, team background, traditions, kits/jerseys, fans, players' roles, team achievements, nicknames, and anything else not listed here that might come to mind.

Style Modifiers
Nations are also invited to include a style modifier for their team. Style mods range from -5 to +5. A team that plays offensively, attacking more and focusing on scoring more goals at the cost of defense, should choose a positive style mod (anywhere from +0.001 to +5.0); they will both score and concede more goals on average. Teams that would rather sit back and focus on defense to prevent their opponents from scoring too many goals should choose a negative style mod (anywhere from -0.001 to -5.0); they will give up fewer goals, but will also have more difficulty scoring goals than their offense-first counterparts. For those who want the best of both worlds, or just don't really care to choose one style over the other, a neutral style mod of 0 is the best option. Nations that do not indicate a style mod will be assigned a neutral one.

After the first match day, if a participant wishes to change their style mod to one different from what they initially posted, they may do so by sending the host scorinating their next match a request via telegram. It is asked that participants include an in-character rationale for the change in their TG to the hosts. Nations will only be allowed one style mod change after the first day of qualifying, so choose wisely when asking.

RP Permissions Box
It is also asked that participants include information on what their opponents can and cannot include in RPs about their team by posting an RP permissions box (or its equivalent) with their roster:

Code: Select all
My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose my goalscorers: Yes/No
Godmod scoring events: Yes/No
RP injuries to my players: Yes/No
Godmod injuries to my players: Yes/No
Hand out yellow cards to my players: Yes/No
Hand out red cards to my players: Yes/No
Godmod other events: Yes/No

Posting a roster for your team will earn you a small RP bonus as well as the gratitude of other nations in your group, since writing match reports quickly becomes boring if one is unable to name any of their opponents' players. If you have any OOC comments, questions, or concerns please post them in the World Cup Discussion Thread (see links at top) or send one of the hosts a TG.

Image
Home - Away - Reverse

The national team receives its kits from two different companies, though the design for each is the same. Kits for the humanoid players (see above) are provided by Kirola Sportswear of Audioslavia, while those for equine and other non-humanoid players are provided by Generosity Sporting Equipment. The Equestrian kits were designed to be simple and easy to identify, using the national colors of purple and orange.

Group E - Finals
#13 - Image Vilita (34.47 pts.)
#35 - Image New Gazi (19.90 pts.)
#41 - Image Equestrian States (16.58 pts.)
#62 - Image Banija (11.16 pts.)

Tournament Schedule

Group Stage - Group E
MD1: Equestrian States vs. Banija at Royal Equestria Stadium (cap. 98,625) in Canterlot, Equestrian States
MD2: Equestrian States vs. New Gazi at Star Stadium (cap. 59,250) in Canterlot, Equestrian States
MD3: Vilita vs. Equestrian States at Royal Equestria Stadium (cap. 98,625) in Canterlot, Equestrian States

Players

Goalkeepers
Image
#1 - Gentle Breeze (Pegasus - Female)
Position: Goalkeeper | Age: 29 | Debut: vs. Image Qazox (WC62 Qualifying)
Club: Image Celtic Noviodunim | League: Image COTEFA Terranean League West
International Caps: 115 | Assists: 2 | Goals: 0
Dubbed by some of her more devoted supporters "the Goddess of Goalkeeping", Gentle Breeze is considered by many one of the multiverse's best hoofballers even by fans outside her homeland, unlike many other players with similar claims of being among the sport's elite. Over the course of her career, the Ponies' keeper has won a Di Bradini Cup, six trophies with her club teams, and no fewer than five Golden Glove awards in some of the multiverse's top leagues. After making her international debut at age 18, Gentle Breeze initially was the Equestrian States' second-choice goalie behind High Soarin', but ultimately forced the veteran to retire from national team duties after taking his starting job. Since then, Gentle Breeze has been the Ponies' undisputed go-to goalkeeper with her ambitions of someday being considered an all-time legendary great well on their way to fruition. Gentle Breeze currently plies her trade with Terranean giants Celtic Noviodunim, having recently moved there from Dwile Warriors.

Image
#21 - Marilyn Peterson (Human - Female)
Position: Goalkeeper | Age: 25 | Debut: vs. Image Urain (VIII Olympiad)
Club: Image Kings Park | League: Image Schottic Premier League
International Caps: 18 | Assists: 0 | Goals: 0
An unfortunate side effect of the Ponies boasting a world class talent in goal is that remarkably talented players like Marilyn Peterson can oftentimes be overlooked by foreign neutrals. Peterson has an established track record of success in both the NFA Premiership and Schottic Premier League, no easy feat, and could easily win the starting job with virtually any other national team. Though Peterson might not be a particularly well-known player, her skill shines through when she's given the chance to prove herself on the international stage, even if it's rarely against the elite teams that Gentle Breeze is started against.

Image
#22 - Nightflame (Unicorn - Male)
Position: Goalkeeper | Age: 28 | Debut: vs. Image Yesopalitha (WC63 Qualifying)
Club: Image Canterlot Royals | League: Image United League
International Caps: 23 | Assists: 0 | Goals: 0
With Gentle Breeze and Marilyn Peterson on the team, Nightflame's playing time has almost always been limited to friendlies and low-importance international matches, but is still a talented goalkeeper with much to offer the Equestrian States national team. A product of the Canterlot Stars' famed youth academy, Nightflame has developed into one of the United League's top keepers and is a more than capable backup goalkeeper who steps up his game when called upon, a quality which serves him well given his role in the Equestrian squad.

Defenders
Image
#12 - Brix Hamilton (Human - Female)
Position: Defender (LB/CB) | Age: 29 | Debut: vs. Image Argo Islands (WC63 Qualifying)
Club: Image Handon United | League: Image Schottic Premier League
International Caps: 90 | Assists: 12 | Goals: 2
Unlike most other current Equestrian superstars, Brix Hamilton wasn't very highly-rated as a teen by scouts, and thus was more than happy to sign a modest deal with a mid-table club in Earent, Nithgard GU, where she quickly became a key member of the team. Several years after joining the Kaynd, Hamiton and Nithgard stunned the multiverse by first winning the Integ Brandel and then going all the way to the Champions' Cup quarrterfinals. From that season on, Brix Hamilton's stock soared as Nithgard climbed up the UICA rankings and eventually won a Champions' Cup title, Hamilton becoming just the second Equestrian to hoist the coveted trophy. Now with Schottia's famed Handon United, Brix Hamilton is playing better than she ever has before and is determined to help lead the Ponies to glory in the World Cup.

Image
#8 - Andrea Molovi (Human - Female)
Position: Defender (CB) | Age: 32 | Debut: vs. Image Euskirribakondara (WC61 Qualifying)
Club: Image Crisisbless | League: Image NFA Premiership
International Caps: 188 | Assists: 6 | Goals: 3
Despite being a longtime starter for the Ponies and one of the team's most experienced players, Andrea Molovi is considered by some as one of the Equestrian States' most overlooked stars. Among the first Equestrian-born human players to make a name for herself on the domestic and international level, Andrea's disciplined style of play often earns her praise from coaches and fellow players as she's able to make crucial tackles without being booked in the process. Andrea Molovi's role in 1830 Cathair's rise to international prominence after being sold to the Audioslavian club by Stalliongrad HC boosted her own international profile, and though not as young as other Equestrian defenders is still a key member of the Equestrian back line and will likely remain so in the near future.

Image
#3 - Flitter (Pegasus - Female)
Position: Defender (CB/DM) | Age: 33 | Debut: vs. Image Waspeaters (WC60 Qualifying)
Club: Image Crystopolis City | League: Image United League
International Caps: 219 | Assists: 21 | Goals: 10
Twin sister of Ponies captain Cloudchaser, Flitter is viewed by many as an anchor of the Equestrian back line and is considered one of the best defenders to ever represent the Equestrian States on the international stage. A regular starter for the Ponies since her debut as a promising 20 year-old during the World Cup 60 qualifying campaign, she may not be the most imposing player on the pitch, but Flitter is exceptionally quick and agile for a defender, often relying on her speed and hoofwork to steal or intercept the ball rather than brute force tackling.

Image
#19 - Krysia Bailey (Human - Female)
Position: Defender (RB/CB/DM) | Age: 24 | Debut: vs. Image Iturributa (WC68 Qualifying)
Club: Image Avenida Leal | League: Image FARF Freitball Ligá
International Caps: 57 | Assists: 8 | Goals: 2
A talented young fullback currently playing with Farfadillis' Avenida Leal, Krysia Bailey excels on the counterattack, charging down the flanks when called upon and launching pinpoint crosses to her waiting teammates. Considered one of the best players in the FARF Freitball Ligá, Bailey is routinely hailed as one of the most prominent faces among the next generation of Equestrian talent.

Image
#20 - Rumble (Pegasus - Male)
Position: Defender (CB/DM) | Age: 23 | Debut: vs. Image Jeckland (Pre-WC68 Friendly)
Club: Image Cloudsdale Flyers | League: Image United League
International Caps: 56 | Assists: 2 | Goals: 0
The younger brother of longtime Ponies striker Thunderlane, Rumble is another one of Pearly White's "new generation" defenders. Though the young pegasus idolizes his older brother, Rumble's talents lie at the opposite end of the pitch, though his speed and versatility have seen him occasionally feature in the midfield where he's also excelled. Regardless of where Rumble is on the field, opponents should be careful not to underestimate this young Equestrian's abilities.

Image
#27 - Sunlight (Unicorn - Female)
Position: Defender (RB/CB) | Age: 25 | Debut: vs. Image Saint James Islands (Pre-WC69 Friendly)
Club: Image Ponyville United | League: Image United League
International Caps: 22 | Assists: 1 | Goals: 0
Sunlight is slightly older than her fellow "new generation" defensive stars and doesn't have quite the same megastar potential as the other youngsters Pearly White brought into the senior team, though her skills are a bit more developed than her colleagues' and is only second-choice on the right wing behind Krysia Bailey. Less of an attack-minded fullback than other Equestrian internationals like Bailey and Hamilton, Sunlight shines with her natural instincts and is equally-capable of performing in a central role.

Image
#4 - Arctic Lily (Crystal Pony - Female)
Position: Defender (CB) | Age: 27 | Debut: N/A
Club: Image Ponyville United | League: Image United League
International Caps: 0 | Assists: 0 | Goals: 0
The first, and thus far only, Crystal Empire native to suit up for the Equestrian States, don't let Arctic Lily's apparent lack of international appearances deceive you as she was arguably the best Crystalline player when they were still appearing in the World Cup. Currently playing for Equestrian giants Ponyville United, Arctic Lily is among the best players in the United League and brings plenty of experience to the Ponies' squad.

Image
#23 - Nightshade (Bat Pony - Female)
Position: Defender (LB) | Age: 20 | Debut: vs. Image Estenia (WC71 Qualifying)
Club: Image Oldem Knights | League: Image Apox National League
International Caps: 3 | Assists: 0 | Goals: 0
Young and relatively untested even with the Little Ponies, Nightshade's finals squad selection came as a surprise to many, but Pearly White needs only point at Nightshade's vast potential to explain her choice. Hailed by some scouts as the next Brix Hamilton, this bat pony will be on the national team for years to come if she even comes close to matching expectations.

Midfielders
Image
#9 - Rainbow Blitz (Pegasus - Male) - VICE-CAPTAIN
Position: Midfielder (AM/ST) | Age: 29 | Debut: vs. Image Slembana (Pre-WC63 Friendly)
Club: Image Makosile United | League: Image V-League Declasse Division
International Caps: 173 | Assists: 80 | Goals: 73
Already considered legendary by many Equestrian hoofball supporters, Rainbow Blitz has been a starter for the Ponies ever since his international debut and was the star player of the Little Ponies teams that dominated the 26th and 27th Di Bradini Cups. Having spent nearly his entire career with Makosile United in the Stellar Division, Rainbow Blitz has long been one of the top midfielders in the V-League and is regularly among the league leaders in assists and average performance rating. The cyan pegasi's lightning-quick speed and remarkable agility are only really challenged on the Equestrian national team by emerging world-class striker Pristina Shine, but Rainbow Blitz's knack for creating scoring opportunities has played no small role in his teammate's international successes.

Image
#2 - Cloudchaser (Pegasus - Female) - CAPTAIN
Position: Midfielder (CM/AM) | Age: 33 | Debut: vs. Image Khytenna (Pre-WC60 Friendly)
Club: Image Mallox | League: Image FSF Härlighet Ligan
International Caps: 242 | Assists: 98 | Goals: 59
The current captain of the Equestrian States national team and twin sister of veteran defender Flitter, Cloudchaser is seen as the Ponies' leader on the pitch and is as popular among her teammates as she is among Equestrian supporters. Unselfish and boasting pinpoint accuracy with her passes, Cloudchaser rarely fails to create chances for the Equestrian attackers and is among the Ponies' all-time assists leaders. On corners, Cloudchaser is a top target for the Ponies as her aerial supremacy combined with excellent control of her headers makes the pegasus mare an extremely potent threat that opponents cannot afford to ignore. Most recently, Cloudchaser captained Mallox to a surprising Härlighet Ligan title in her first season with the club after securing a transfer from La Nueva Avenida.

Image
#5 - Apple Cobbler (Earth Pony - Female)
Position: Midfielder (AM/RM/CM) | Age: 23 | Debut: vs. Image United Gordonopia (VIII Olympiad)
Club: Image Jungle Strike FC | League: Image V-League Stellar Division
International Caps: 73 | Assists: 17 | Goals: 10
First appearing for the senior team when she was just 16 years-old, Apple Cobbler became the youngest Equestrian full international during the VIII Summer Olympics and has long been hailed as the future of the Equestrian midfield. At the club level, Apple Cobbler has spent her entire professional career with world-famous Vilitan powerhouse Jungle Strike FC, where her talents have been nurtured and given the opportunity to thrive. Though at her best when playing in a central attacking role, Apple Cobbler tends to be used more on the right wing by Pearly White in the Ponies' setup and has done well adapting to the position.

Image
#11 - Krystal (Unicorn - Female)
Position: Midfielder (CM/LM/AM) | Age: 28 | Debut: vs. Image Manetreal (Equestria Cup 4)
Club: Image Crystopolis City | League: Image United League
International Caps: 97 | Assists: 24 | Goals: 14
Another member of the Di Bradini Cup-winning Little Ponies team, Krystal has played alongside Rainbow Blitz in the Equestrian midfield throughout her international career and is another quick-moving threat for Pearly White to wield against opposing midfields. Krystal is perhaps the best Equestrian player when it comes to controlling the ball and can effortlessly zip up the pitch if given any space by defenders. However, her small stature (even among fellow ponies) and slender build puts her at a disadvantage on headers, and is thus often is tipped to deliver corners.

Image
#17 - Rosie Tyler (Human - Female)
Position: Midfielder (CM/DM/LM) | Age: 25 | Debut: vs. Image Colombian Britannia (Pre-WC66 Friendly)
Club: Image Willox Street Pirates | League: Image Christopheran Super-League
International Caps: 53 | Assists: 9 | Goals: 10
Rosie Tyler has seemingly moved to a new club every season in her professional career, with her latest move being to Port Christopher's Willox Street Pirates. A versatile midfielder who can thread passes to her teammates from any range, Tyler plays a major role in the Ponies' counterattacks, quickly distributing the ball and moving it up the pitch. Rosie Tyler has also been a popular choice for taking Equestrian set pieces lately, adding yet another tool to her personal arsenal of skills.

Image
#16 - Luminesce (Unicorn - Female)
Position: Midfielder (CM/LM) | Age: 21 | Debut: vs. Image Bears Armed (Equine-Ursine Cup 12)
Club: Image Lexington Victory | League: Image COTEFA Terranean League West
International Caps: 22 | Assists: 3 | Goals: 2
One of the most promising members of the newest generation of Equestrian national team talents, Luminesce plies her trade with New Gelderland's Lexington Victory. A fairly traditional Equestrian prospect, Luminesce is a quick and nimble midfielder who can run for ages without seeming to tire at all. Though her slender build means she's fairly weak in the air, her pace and ability on the ball makes up for it.

Image
#25 - Aarón Aiza (Human - Male)
Position: Midfielder (RM/DM/CM) | Age: 27 | Debut: vs. Image Osarius (Pre-WC69 Friendly)
Club: Image Herzegovina City FC | League: Image Banijan Soccer League
International Caps: 28 | Assists: 3 | Goals: 4
Aarón Aiza started his career in Yttribia and even featured for the Yttribian national team several times before defecting to the Equestrian States when the Esportivan nation was taken over by the Corvidae. Though the Corvidae no longer rule Yttribia, Aiza continues to play for the Ponies at the international level. Slower than most Equestrian midfielders, Aarón makes up for his lack of speed with stamina and smarts, rarely making a poor decision on the pitch. In the past couple seasons however, Aiza has seemingly reached another level with Herzegovina City in Banija's emergent league, establishing himself firmly as one of the best players in the league and most recently leading his club to a surprising Champions Cup group stage appearance.

Image
#15 - Elaine Everdeen (Human - Female)
Position: Midfielder (CAM/LM) | Age: 29 | Debut: vs. Image The Inevitable Syndicate (WC65 Qualifying)
Club: Image Anomalies FC | League: Image Chromatik Premier Division
International Caps: 68 | Assists: 9 | Goals: 6
The younger sister of former Ponies' striker Katherine Everdeen, Elaine is a talented midfielder entering her prime who first found success with Sunrisian club Granger Dragonites before moving to Chromatika's Anomalies FC. Graceful and agile, the younger Everdeen sister can race up and down the pitch at an impressive clip even compared to her speedy equine teammates. Though her endurance isn't as impressive, Elaine Everdeen shouldn't be underestimated by her opponents and is often used as a substitute against weary opponents to give the Equestrians that final attacking boost whenever a goal is needed.

Forwards
Image
#10 - Pristina Shine (Unicorn - Female)
Position: Forward (ST) | Age: 27 | Debut: vs. Image Footballand (VIII Olympiad)
Club: Image 1830 Cathair FC | League: Image National League Division 1
International Caps: 86 | Assists: 15 | Goals: 59
If there's one player on the team who can challenge Gentle Breeze's claim to being the best current Equestrian hoofballer, it's Pristina Shine. Signed by world-famous Iturributa United as a teenager, Pristina Shine was immediately thrust into the spotlight and regularly started for the club, finishing third in the league in scoring in her first season. Over the next few years, the young forward's profile continued to soar as she seamlessly transitioned from the Equestrian league to the higher-profile Iturributan Premiership. When Iturributa fell to the invading Astograthians, Pristina Shine followed her Polarian manager to Divisjon One's Red Star Severny, where she again established herself as a rising superstar, finishing among the prestigious league's top scorers and claiming her second Young Player of the Year award. With the international retirement of legendary Equestrian striker Fire Dash, Pristina Shine has taken the former captain's spot as the Ponies' primary scoring threat and opponents will need to be wary of her lightning-quick speed and lethal ability to finish. Pristina Shine currently plays for famous Audioslavian giants 1830 Cathair in the National League.

Image
#14 - Rosewing (Pegasus - Female)
Position: Forward (ST) | Age: 25 | Debut: vs. Image Laiyenda (WC69 Qualifying)
Club: Image Tir Snake Strike | League: Image COTEFA Terranean League East
International Caps: 18 | Assists: 1 | Goals: 6
Rosewing is very much your prototypical pegasai striker: quick and exceptionally gifted in the air, though sometimes a bit eager to take risks. In the past two seasons, Rosewing has emerged as a phenomenal talent with Ceni's Tir Snake Strike, firmly establishing herself as the Ponies' second-best striker with ambitions of someday topping Pristina Shine despite an initially slow start to her international career.

Image
#6 - Wither (Bat Pony - Female)
Position: Forward (ST) | Age: 29 | Debut: vs. Image The Pazhujeb Islands (WC63 Qualifying)
Club: Image Whitetail Foresters | League: Image United League
International Caps: 52 | Assists: 7 | Goals: 24
Widely viewed as the most under-appreciated Equestrian striker, Wither's abilities and scoring record would suggest that she's a regular starter for the Ponies, but she has often been overlooked in favor of the more-established stars. Though Wither's playing time has increased dramatically under Pearly White, she's still considered a third option behind Pristina Shine and Rosewing in the roster. Despite her role with the national team, Wither is a determined athlete who never backs down from challenge.

Image
#36 - Midnight Strike (Bat Pony - Male)
Position: Forward (ST) | Age: 20 | Debut: vs. Image Matthewsiania (WC71 Qualifying)
Club: Image Jungle Strike FC | League: Image V-League Stellar Division
International Caps: 3 | Assists: 0 | Goals: 2
Just 20 years-old, Midnight Strike won't see too many minutes for the Ponies as he sits behind a number of talented strikers in the depth chart, but the bat pony's natural skill and powerful strike was enough for Vilita's famed Jungle Strike FC to sign the forward and was enough for Pearly White to give Midnight Strike another call-up after impressing in his limited debut for the Ponies in the World Cup 79 qualifying campaign.

Coaches & Staff
Image
Manager - Image Pearly White (Earth Pony - Female) - 46
Appointed interim manager of the national team by the Hoofball Association following the resignation of Twilight Striker - the Ponies' long-time boss of some 12 World Cup campaigns - Pearly White secured the position on a permanent basis with a number of impressive performances against higher-ranked opposition in her first games at the helm, including a stunning upset of then-defending world champions Vilita in the 3rd Cup of Champions. Since then, Pearly White has done nothing to give her employers any doubts that she's the best pony for the job, leading the Equestrian States on a Runner Cup title run without dropping a single point and reaching the 4th Cup of Champions semifinals before capping it all off with a second round appearance at the World Cup finals.

Image
Assistant Manager - Image Dreamy Skies (Pegasus - Female) - 42
Not very long ago, Dreamy Skies was a rookie manager taking the reins of Second League club Whitetail Foresters. Her arrival had a near-instant impact on the club's fortunes as they were promoted to the United League the following season and now regularly contend for UICA berths, an incredible improvement in such a short period of time for a team once known largely for producing talent which was then poached by bigger clubs, at the Foresters' expense. When Pearly White first took charge of the Equestrian senior team, she managed to convince the HA that the still-young pegasus would be a strong addition to the Ponies' coaching staff, and thus far it has paid-off spectacularly. Players routinely praise Dreamy Skies for her enthusiastic optimism and superb work ethic which makes her a popular figure in the locker room and on the practice field.

Image
Assistant Manager - Image Lunar Dusk (Bat Pony - Female) - 42
The newest addition to the national team staff is Lunar Dusk, somepony few Equestrian hoofball fans were aware of just a few years ago but is today one of the best-known coaching talents in the Pony Lands. Like Dreamy Skies, Lunar Dusk's managerial career started in the second tier with Crystal Fair HC, a previously unremarkable side from the Crystal Empire which she transformed into a legitimate force within a few seasons thanks to a focus on quickly developing the Grounders' budding young stars into hoofballers capable of hanging with the best. After shattering numerous Second League records and earning promotion, Crystal Fair survived a relegation battle in their first ever United League campaign, broke into the top half the following season, and last year defied all expectations to come within a tiebreaker playoff of ending Crystopolis City's previously unchallenged monopoly on the Crystal Empire's Champions' Cup berth. With Lunar Dusk's undeniable talent for inspiring young players alone makes her a valuable addition to the staff, but her brilliant tactical mind makes her appointment by Pearly White a no-brainer.

Image
Goalkeeping Coach - Image Fire Blossom (Unicorn - Male) - 51
Responsible for training the Ponies' goalkeepers is Fire Blossom, whose exploits as a keeper in the old Equestrian Premier League earned him much respect amongst early Equestrian hoofball fans and eventually a job with the national team. Fire Blossom's prophetic praise of a teenage prospect named Gentle Breeze and his subsequent push for her initial selection to the senior team for World Cup 62 qualifying have since earned him a reputation as a natural judge of potential, not to mention a considerable amount of credit for Gentle Breeze's many successes.

Image
Scout - Image Diamond Star (Unicorn - Female) - 49
Originally chief scout under Twilight Striker with the Canterlot Royals, Diamond Star was later hired for the national team by the Royals' and Ponies' manager to help identify young Equestrian players with international potential, and the unicorn scout did not fail in her task. Among the current national team stars first scouted by Diamond Star are Thunderlane, Cloudchaser, Rainbow Blitz, and Pristina Shine. Now the manager of Stalliongrad HC, Diamond Star has seen her national team role diminished, though she still provides valuable advice to Pearly White regarding her observations of potential internationals within the United League.

Image
Scout - Image Golden Hooves (Earth Pony - Female) - 60
A veteran member of the Equestrian States staff, Golden Hooves has been around the national team for what seems like forever, her longevity speaking to her performance as a reliable scout. While fellow Ponies scout Diamond Star's focus lies primarily upon United League players and her evaluation of their potential with regards to the senior team, Golden Hooves is responsible mostly for scouting Equestrians on foreign clubs and assessing the Ponies' opponents and how their players compare with those available to the Ponies.

Image
Fitness Coach - Image Craig Jackson (Human - Male) - 49
Hired in the midst of the injury plague which characterized the Ponies' World Cup 63 qualifying campaign, Craig Jackson was the first human member of the Ponies' staff and has done well to keep Equestrian players' injuries minimal in the years since then. While fitness coaches generally don't get much respect or attention from the press, Jackson's gift for keeping players of various biologically-diverse species in near-perfect health throughout grueling tournament schedules which can push them above and beyond their limits is certainly nothing to be dismissed as trivial.

Team Strategy

Image
Note: Players' names and numbers may not be updated, see roster for details.

The Ponies' most-used formation is the slightly modified 3-5-2, preferred by former manager Twilight Striker because of the strength and dominance of the Equestrian midfielders. Thanks to the versatility of the Equestrian States' players, the formation gives the Ponies the ability to shift quickly from the offense to the defense and vice-versa. More recently, however, the Equestrians have begun to shy away from the 3-5-2 in favor of the 4-2-3-1 in order to strengthen the back line and keep their opponents guessing. Aside from the formations themselves, the Equestrians have a number of definitive strengths and weaknesses.

First, the Ponies are among the world's fastest and most durable teams, using their natural advantages to tire out opponents. With those two traits as the defining characteristics of the Equestrian style of play, the squad excels at producing chances in the latter stages of the match. But while the attack dominates the second half, opposing squads have occasionally found success going all-out at the start of the match in an attempt to build an insurmountable lead.

Another area in which the Equestrian States has traditionally dominated is in the aerial battles for headers. While the Ponies are generally shorter than their opponents, the team is often credited with impressive leaping abilities (particularly among the pegasai players). Controlling headers makes the team lethal on corner kicks, and opponents looking to defeat the Equestrians must limit the number conceded to the Ponies or else face a barrage of dangerous short-range shots from the Ponies' attackers.

On Species and Equestrian Hoofball
The Equestrian States is a nation of incredible diversity. When many countries make this kind of statement, they are referring only to racial matters dealing with differences in skin color or culture. But the Equestrian States takes diversity to a whole new level, with dozens of sapient species living alongside each other in harmony. From pegasai to griffons, and humans to dragons, the Equestrian States is among the most diverse nations known to exist. But diversity has also had a unique and intriguing impact on the playing of sports in the Equestrian States, and hoofball is no exception. In the following paragraphs, the natural strengths, weaknesses, and tendencies of each prominent species in the Equestrian States will be explored, offering those unfamiliar with the Equestrian States a chance to explore the wonderful diversity that makes the Equestrian States a great country and gives our beloved national hoofball team a versatility that few others can hope to match.

Staff
AF. Ázëwyn Fëanáro*, Manager, 4,050
270 Caps, 71 Goals (Uncapped at Under-21 level)
Fëanáro scored the winner in the 47th Final against Valanora, denying them a title on their own turf and lifting Starblaydia to the mantle of all-time greatest team. Known for her excellent attacking play, range of passing and great eye for goal that lifts her to second in the all-time goalscorers list too, by virtue of a nearly 1-in-4 ratio, Ázëwyn Fëanáro is a symbol of grace, power and beauty from Starblaydia's golden age, some hundred and twenty-five years ago when the Cup was in its 40s. It is these qualities that the SFA managed to recapture with Fëanáro at the helm, bringing her trademark poise and piercing yell to the touchlines after more than a decade of national failures. She took her team to two consecutive World Cups after so long without the famous team in white, and on home soil she's aiming for her team to go deep into the knockouts.

JM. Jerzy Makuszewski, Assistant Manager, 60
83 Caps, 0 Goals (6 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
Known as "Chef" by those who can pronounce his surname correctly, Makuszewski took up the mantle of "Best in the World" Lucas Cable to become Starblaydia's unassailable number one between the posts and wear the captain's armband. Always a fiery character, he can shift from jovial to furious in moments, and is Fëanáro's 'enforcer', barking out orders and remonstrating with players and officials with equal fervour.

Goalkeepers
1. Bjorn Järvinen, GK, 28 - Hippion Overdrive
9 Caps, 0 Goals (4 caps, 0 goals at Under-21 level)
The successor to Zack Lomanto as both Overdrive's main goalie and the owner of the first back-up goalkeeping position, Järvinen has been thrust straight onto the national team into a proving ground that he seems desperate to excel in. Should make a few appearances through the Qaulifying campaign, though no-one can quite predict the outcome.

12. Martin Bennet, GK, 24 - Paricone Athletic FC
6 Caps, 0 Goals (1 Cap, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
.

19. John Higgins, GK, 36 - Jhanna City
6 Caps, 0 Goals (1 Cap, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
Solid, dependable and genuinely unexciting, just like a good goalkeeper should be. No scorpion kicks, no unorthodox playmaking, and no fuss on crosses and shots. JCFC's number one, however, can only make Starblaydia's number three.

Defenders
2. Dorn Garkadrum^, RB, 34 - Iskara Daii
38 Caps, 3 Goals (Uncapped at Under-21 level)
Full of tricky moves and neat interplay, Garkadrum always provides some wing wizardry for the both the Widdrington Wolves and now the Daii. His speed and ball control make him a voracious attacking full back, and he's got the pace to track most wingers and collect the hopeful long balls without any trouble. Like a bullet in attack and defence, he wants to live up to the exploits of his great hero, the World Cup Hall of Famer Khim Azanulbizarn. A long ball over the top is always a Dwarf's problem, but they usually have the speed and physical presence to catch up.

3. Frederico Esposito, LB, 26 - Iskara Daii
15 Caps, 1 Goal (4 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
TBA.

5. Syku Ryku, CB, 24 - Foxchester Raiders
26 Caps, 1 Goal (9 Caps, 1 Goal at Under-21 level)
Watching Syku Ryku play is like watching beige paint dry. So terribly, terribly dull. No mistakes, no rushes of blood to the head, no crazy backheels to outwit a striker, just solid, simple, defensive play from the tall and rangy centre-back. Although his thick Rejistanian accent, acquired from his parents, is unintentionally hilarious in interviews, there's no more a model professional on the pitch. Unless you're watching the robot leagues, in which he'd fit right in.

6. Santiago Ortega, CB, 25 - Hippion Overdrive
4 Caps, 0 Goals (4 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
TBA

13. Garret Allen, R/LB, 24 - Paricone Athletic FC
1 Cap, 0 Goals (5 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
TBA

13. Tupu Alofa, CB, 23 - Cedrus Soundgardia
1 Cap, 0 Goals (5 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
TBA

20. Douglas Cole, L/RB, 36 - Corinthian Spirits
6 Cap, 0 Goals (5 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
TBA

Midfielders
4. Pawel Zapotowski, Captain, L/DM, 34 - Beverington Hawks
63 Caps, 5 Goals (1 Cap, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
Left footed and equally adept at block tackling, intercepting and the lost art of the ball-winning slide tackle, 'Zap' anchors the Starblaydi midfield. He's big and tough, with an engine to run all day long. Zap carries himself as a genuine international class midfielder, and undisputedly wears the captain's armband to lead Starblaydia out for the fourth successive tournament (AOCAF Cups 54 and 55, World Cup 79 and 80).

7. Marcello Di Bradini, L/CM, 26 - Iskara Daii
28 Caps, 8 Goals (4 Caps, 2 Goals at Under-21 level)
Yup, a Di Bradini, fresh from winning Liga Starblaydia with the Daii.

8. Julio Caballero, RM, 24 - Iskara Daii
7 Caps, 1 Goal (4 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
TBA.

15. Will Anderson^, C/DM, 24 - Hecia
2 Caps, 0 Goals (5 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
TBA.

16. Hanar Nauglamír^, AM, 29 - Karak Ungor Chiefs
39 Caps, 11 Goals (Uncapped at Under-21 level)
Nauglamír plays in the classic Trequartista mold to pull the strings of the attack, play through-balls to the strikers and wide midfielders, as well as unleash a vicious shot when he gets the opportunity. Often he takes his place at the front of the traditional Starblaydia 4-4-2 Diamond to run the park like it was his own front lawn, but there is no place for him in the starting line-up of this 4-3-3 formation as Fëanáro opts for hard-running midfield engines in the form of Di Bradini, Caballero, Anderson and Romano - every one of them a complete athlete compared to Nauglamír. What the Dwarf has, however, is an excellent footballing brain and can easily come on to change a game when a solid defence needs that one key, patient pass to be unlocked.

22. Falco Romano, C/AM, 22 - Cedrus Soundgardia
1 Cap, 0 Goals (4 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
TBA.

Forwards
9. Ella Kabeya*, SC, 31 - Jhanna United
59 Caps, 28 Goals (Uncapped at Under-21 level)
Scoring on her debut in the qualifiers for World Cup 77, Ella hasn't looked back in her career. She's cemented herself as Starblaydia's leading striker and is the only out-and-out striker in the Starting XI.

10. Soronúmë, SC/RW, 8,724 - Telcontarë
229 Caps, 52 Goals (Uncapped at Under-21 level)
Very, very fast, Soronúmë is a supreme right-footed winger and deadly striker, as winner's medals from World Cups 44 and 47 will attest to. He prefers to sprint down the touchline with defenders trailing in his wake, pulling out the perfect cross or at top speed or rifling a shot towards the top corner. His mercurial style makes him able to change any game in a moment, assuming he's feeling like it that day. For this tournament, he has his favourite position on the right of a front three, and enough players to cover him as he roams upfield.

11. Mezna Rayyen*, SC/LW, 23 - Vecchio Victors
16 Caps, 8 Goals (8 Caps, 3 Goals at Under-21 level)
TBA

17. Luciano Da Cunha, CF/SC, 27 - Iskara Daii
12 Caps, 4 Goals (4 Caps, 1 Goal at Under-21 level)
TBA.

18. Anra Kolmkal*^, SC, 24 - Karak Ungor Chiefs
14 Caps, 5 Goals (4 Caps, 3 Goals at Under-21 level)
Anra made history as the first female Dwarf to be selected for the Starblaydi national team. Though female Dwarves make up around 10% of Ice Hockey and 3% of Football players in Karak D'Ragh, Anra was the first to break through and wear Starblaydi colours. With the usual Dwarven traits of great speed, stamina and a low centre of gravity, she's not the one to knock down the long ball, but she'll be on it quick as a flash with a powerful shot. And no, before you ask, she doesn't have a beard.

21. Sterling Renshaw, LW/RW, 23 - Tabeck Cefn Druids
Uncapped (5 Caps, 1 Goal at Under-21 level)
TBA.

23. Ángel Nicolás Jiménez, SC, 24 - Paricone Athletic FC
2 Caps, 1 Goal (5 Caps, 4 Goals at Under-21 level)
TBA.

The Competitive Solitaire FA plays a 4-3-3 Narrow formation which consists of two wingers, a striker, an attacking midfielder, two center midfielders, two center backs, and two fullbacks. The team is trained to counterattack and commit to one of the three channels. Crossing and threading through balls are valued higher than dribbling for a goal, encouraging teamwork.

United States of Devonta Men's National Soccer Team

Coach: Dewayne Boivin [Ethane]
Assistant Coach: Bryan Mandalay
Demonym: Devontan
Trigram: USD

Goalkeepers:

1- Bradley Kozak Cooper [Team: Mariner F.C]
Height: 6’1 - Weight: 196 lbs - Age: 31 years old - Starter
Cooper was born into a world of soccer as his parents were both players in the National League, Cooper’s father sent him to the prestigious Dock City Soccer Academy at the age of five. Cooper played as a Defender till the age of 15, As a last minute decision his coach made him take the spot of Goalkeeper after the goalkeeper was injured. In the remaining twenty minutes of the game Cooper had over eight saves and his team went on to win the game 3-2 and become his teams new starting goalkeeper. Recruiting agents from the National League watching the game noted Coopers ability as an effective goalkeeper and continued to watch his performances throughout that season. Before Cooper could start yet another season at his academy he was recruited and signed by Riverton F.C a team in the National League. Cooper played for Riverton for nine years and in the middle at age 18 started playing for the United States of Devonta national men’s soccer team as a substitute goalkeeper against in the region of North Valheaven and North America Paradise. At the age of 23 he became the starting goalkeeper and helped make his nations team the #1 ranked team in his region. In a surprising decision Riverton F.C traded him for three players from Mariner F.C where he plays today and will play till retirement.

Cooper is known for his ultra fast hand-eye coordination, which allows him to move quickly and almost mystically in the goalie box. The ever observant Cooper is good at keeping track of the ball and can easily perform perfect passes and goalie kicks. Known also to play through pain and refuse to give up or let himself done. He is known to be very caring towards children and is a strong supporter of welfare programs.

7- Brandon Lee Kowalski [Carter Villa F.C]
Height: 5’11 - Weight: 170 lbs - Age: 25 - Substitute
Kowalski started playing soccer at an early age at his local recreational centers team. During his highschool years he played on the national stage in the youth soccer league while playing for his high school as the topped ranked varsity goalkeeper in the country. When he graduated at the age of 17 he was instantly recruited by the Carter Villa F.C as a substitute goalkeeper. He has proudly stayed with the team through its worst and last season became the team's starting goalkeeper replacing Tim Snyder.

Kowalski is known for being a very quick and observant goalie and very timid, Usually sticking to the box instead of attacking. He is also known for being very flexible. Kowalski is very loyal to his teams and it can get him in fights against rival teams.

11- Danny Cake Vanburen [Middleton F.C]
Height: 6’1 - Weight: 176 lbs - Age: 22 - Substitute

Left Defenders [Left Fullbacks/Wingers]:

2- Johnson Alexander Brooks [Strickland F.C]
Height: 5’10 - Weight: 155 lbs - Age: 34 - Starter
Brooks did not always play soccer but instead played basketball as a point guard which he soon figured out had the same concept as a left winger which he started playing when he tried soccer in 8th grade, After realizing his love for the game he joined a national soccer training program and rapidly gained the skills needed to be a top player in the sport. He played one year for his high school then graduated. After high school he went to college at Desmound State where only in his first season he was recruited by Carter Villa F.C and played seven long years with the team scoring 20 goals as a left winger. As he wanted more opportunity, He played in the nation of Neo-Liberalis for five years on two different teams before returning and being signed with Strickland F.C where he has played his last two seasons and reigning his final two year contract with the club before his retirement. It was no surprise to soccer critics when the #1 defender in the country was picked for the national team, making him the oldest member of the team too.

Brooks is known for being quick and waiting for the right moments to strike out at an unsuspecting player and being able to drive the ball up and make quick precise passes or relatively accurate long shots towards the opposing teams goal. Its known by all players in his league that he never brags or acts like a sore loser and always has an upbeat attitude.

3- Jose Manzano Alvarez [Ranger F.C]
Height: 5’9 - Weight: 164 lbs - Age: 25 - Substitute
Alvarez played soccer in the Youth Soccer League in Santa Julia, New Julia before he started playing for his high school for four years, Although he was considered good and one of the best players in New Julia he was not recruited, But given a scholarship to New Julia University where he played all four of his college years and won one best player award and two best defender awards. After graduation he was finally recruited by a major league team which was his hometowns Astro F.C. on a four year contract, before being signed on a two year loan to Ranger F.C. in Oisinistan.

Alvarez seems to know when to attack another player for the ball or play more cautiously, Making it hard for players to get past him. Despite being able to steal and retrieve the ball he sometimes manages to lose the ball in sloppy fast paced dribbles and does not have the best long passes, Although his speed makes up the distance usually. Alvarez his an active community organizer and donates to charities often.

Center Defenders [Center Backs/Sweepers]:

5- Martin Paul Benton [Middleton F.C]
Height: 6’1 - Weight: 188 lbs - Age: 22 - Starter
A product of Blue River Valley High Schools soccer program Benton arises from high school soccer a three time MVP and many best player awards including many man of the matches. He was instantly drafted as a first round pick by Middleton F.C. During his first season Benton showed his worth as a fast and ultra observant sweeper for his team making many goals that could've been no more by knocking them out of the penalty box. In his second season his team made it to the finals. Benton played admirably till the last ten minutes when he made the mistake of passing the ball to player on the other team, resulting in a 1-0 loss.

Benton many strengths is is quick agility and his ability to focus on multiple points of the penalty box at one time, It is also not uncommon to see him quickly slide tackle without fouling. Critics have noticed he has gotten more aggressive on the field since his mistake and only passes short precise passes. If there is one thing everyone knows, It is he wants to redeem himself.

6- Daniel Kay Kindred [Nordland F.C]
Height: 6’4 - Weight: 223 lbs - Age: 28 - Starter
Kindred started playing soccer in the 6th grade for his middle school. By high school he made his varsity team his freshman year and in his Junior year was recruited by his state's only professional team Nordland F.C. at the age of seventeen. He was taller than most of the players on his team and known to be intimidating when you meet him. His taller stature also made him a natural born center back. He made himself known in the professional league as a tall player and can beat most in a jumping battle. After five years in Nordland F.C. he was loaned off for three years to a professional team in the nation of Seggenea. After a successful time in Seggenea and a best defender reward in that country, he was given back to Nordland F.C. on a four year contract.

Kindred's large size makes him an excellent jumper and he his not afraid to throw his weight around or slide tackle with his large feet, Although he can get to aggressive and fouls are a worry when he plays. His mighty long legs make his work as a centre back easy. Attacking he is more clumsy so he chooses to stay on his half of the field unless instructed otherwise.

8- Coby Lamar Rice [Real Langston F.C]
Height: 5’10 - Weight: 179 lbs - Age: 20 - Substitute

Right Defenders [Right Fullback/Winger]:

7- Brayden Liam Jr. [Ceceila United F.C]
Height: 5’11 - Weight: 174 lbs - Age: 27 - Starter
Liam started playing soccer at the age of 10, Since then he fell in love. Playing for his high school he received every best player reward from his school for the four years he was there. After high school he played soccer at Ceceila State University for three years before being signed by Danza F.C a professional football club in his junior year. Liam played well for Danza but a rocky third year prompted Danza to trade him to Ceceila United F.C. Coming back from a bad season playing for a different team Liam contributed in his teams championship victory the first year he was on there team.

Liam prefers a slow paced controlled dribble and is not as fast as the other players on his team, Although he is the best a dribbling and noted for his crossing capabilities. His slow dribble can be a problem as many players take opportunities to steal the ball, Although his slow pace usually can draw fouls from this. As a Winger his control allows for great passes and shots that are usually on goal.

9- Mathew Alexander Creasmen [Carter Villa F.C]
Height: 6'1 - Weight: 174 - Age: 18 - Substitute

Defensive Midfielder:

4- Isaiah Brandon Russell [Danza F.C]
Height: 5’11 - Weight: 177 lbs - Age: 29 - Starter
Russell’s father was a soccer coach for a local youth soccer program which Russell was made to play on. Russell’s father was very hard on Russell and was pressured often to do better, By the time he was in high school he had already been selected to play for a local minor league team. Russell played four years with the team and also played for his high school's varsity team. After graduating high school he was offered a four year contract to play for Danza F.C, Which he proudly accepted. Playing for Danza he seen the team make it to the semi-finals twice in a row. In a three year loan Danza traded him to Nordland F.C. At Nordland he shined with the rest of its strong defense although he played on the midfield. After three years at Nordland F.C. he was then resigned to Danza F.C. and signed another four year contract similar to his first.

Russell is not a good all around player and plays best as a defensive midfielder, He is quick and knows how to mark men and pass well, He seems to work best in tight situations and does not disappoint. He has admitted that he needs to work on his crossing and needs to improve his average level dribble.

10- Anton Roben [Real Langston F.C.]
Height: 5’10 - Weight: 158 lbs - Age: 21 - Substitute

Left Midfielders:

12- Mohamed Zari Abdullah [Mandiana F.C]
Height: 5’11 - Weight: 175 lbs - Age: 29 - Starter
Son of two Muslim immigrants from a war torn middle eastern nation, Abdullah was born in the United States of Devonta. His father had only brought the clothes on his back and a soccer ball which he passed on to young Abdullah. Abdullah was invited to play for Maxwell Soccer Academy and accepted the invitation. Playing for the academy for most of his child and teenage life, Leading his team to win four championships and winning various awards. At the age of 17 he was drafted as a first round pick to play for Strickland F.C. for four years. He played for four years at the football club for his four years and got his team to the semi-finals twice. After his four years expired he went north to the nation of Rygristan and played for two years, Winning a championship there and a best player award both years he was there. When he returned instead of joining his old team he signed a five year contract with the struggling Mandiana F.C. Four years in his five year contract Abdullah has played very well for the once struggling football club. He has one championship with the team and has been to the semi-finals with the club. Rumors say he plans on staying with the team and resigning when his current contract ends, although in a surprising move he resigned with the club for four years.

Abdullah has described himself as a devout Muslim and prays on the side of the field every game. He is known for his versatility on all sections of the field, Defense or Offense, Left or right he can play. Dribbling, passing, crossing, and striking are his main perks. The only thing that brings him down is he can sometimes become a ball hog.

13- Tony Lamont Phillips [Real Langston F.C]
Height: 5’9 - Weight: 154 lbs - Age: 25 - Substitute
Phillips played soccer for a youth league team most of his childhood till the age of 17, When he was selected to play for a minor league team. After just one year with the minor league team and a bad season he terminated his contract and started attending Franks University where had two perfect seasons and brought his team to the semi-finals his second year. After his second year he was drafted as a second round pick by Real Langston F.C. and signed a two year contract. Both seasons where good for Phillips and critics noticed he evolved a lot from when he played at a university level. In January of 2016 he resigned with the club for two years.

Phillips is known for his ability to mark men and steal the ball with quick reflexes. He knows how to get around people and make long passes, Although he tends only to be good playing in a defensive rule and performance varies when he is attacking. Phillips can get very frustrated at players and officials but usually manages to control it.

15- Anthony Don Crox [Harding F.C]
Height: 5’9 - Weight: 161 lbs - Age: 23 - Substitute
Crox did not start playing soccer till he was sixteen years old, Playing for his local high school team and managing to bring them to two city wide championships both years, But his team lost on the state level. By the time he graduated he received a scholarship to play for Kanza University and he took it over three other scholarships. He played for Kanza University for two seasons and helped them win one championship. After two years he was offered a large contract lasting two years with the Devonta City Capitals, a minor league team. In his first season he played well and his the Capitals made it to the finals but were defeated 1-0. In January of 2016 he was signed to a two year contract with Harding F.C after attending their training camp.

Crox is better suited for defense then he is on the offense, That is one reason he plays as a defensive midfielder. Known in the minor leagues for being able to mark men and pass, Although he is also known for being too aggressive and bad crossing. Crox as shown he can learn more from his more professional teammates and is very promising.

Right Midfielders:

14- DeMonte Creole Edwards [Harding F.C]
Height: 6’0 - Weight: 179 lbs - Age: 28 - Starter
Edwards started playing soccer as a little boy playing local neighborhood kids in his backyard. At age ten he was admitted into the youth league and they soon recognized his potential on the national level. His youth team won two championships and made it to the semi-finals three times, Partly do to Edwards efforts on the team. When he started high school he started to play for his high school team. His high school team went on to win the national championship and his youth team made it to the quarter finals. A year after playing soccer for his high school he left his youth team and joined a minor league team. The next three years he saw his high school team go to three quarter finals and his minor league team make it to the quarter finals twice and semi-finals once, Many critics were not surprised when he was signed to a four year contract with Harding F.C. after he finished his time on his minor league team and graduated high school. The four years playing for Harding F.C. brought four disappointing seasons although Edwards played well and managed to bring his team to the semi-finals his second year. Edwards was loaned out to a team in Seggenea for four years, managing to led his team there to two trips to the championships losing both. Edwards returned from Seggenea and resigned a smaller two year contract with Harding F.C.

Edwards is a solid midfielder and is known for his abilities to dribble and control the ball, His shooting abilities from long range and up close are also on par with some of the best, This ability to shoot allows him to be an effective passer also. Edwards struggles to sometimes stay in his spot and sometimes breaks formation.

16- Julius Xander Washington [Strag City A.C.]
Height: 5’11 - Weight: 171 lbs - Age: 23 - Substitute
Washington begun playing soccer at a young age for local youth leagues around it hometown. When he attended high school he chose to continue to play for local youth teams instead of his high school. When he graduated after limited success in the youth league other than a few awards, He attended George Town State University and played two surprisingly well seasons for his team, Breaking his universities record for assists and sending them to the semi-finals his last year. Before signing a two year contract with Mandiana F.C., an emerging professional soccer club. In January of 2016 he announced he would leave his club if his new contract requirements were not agreed too, but last minute a two year contract was signed. Instead of playing for Mandiana F.C. he was loaned of to Strag City A.C. in the nation of Strag for two seasons.

Washington is a moderately fast midfielder who is very versatile, Although he plays better on the offense. His abilities to control the ball and keep it are widely noted. He struggles with finding openings to pass but shows he is willing to learn from more senior players on his team.

14 - Furry Aya Etouguo [Strickland F.C]
Height: 6’1 - Weight: 181 lbs - Age: 25 - Substitute

Offensive Midfielders:

17- Tyrell LaMarcus Owens Jr. [Riverton F.C.]
Height: 5’10 - Weight: 171 lbs - Age: 24 - Starter

He soon joined his high schools varsity team and dominated on the statewide level. After high school was offered a chance to play for a minor league team or attend a university and play on a college level. Owens chose to play for Three Forks University and led his team to a semi-final and a championship. After two years playing for his college team he was drafted by Riverton F.C. and signed a four year contract. Since joining the professional football club he has helped his team to the semi-finals and the quarter-finals.

Owens is known for his short burst of fast energy which allows him to get around other players. This also makes him good at crossing, shooting, and passing. He lacks from a defensive standpoint.

18- Salomon Van Bundy [Danza F.C]
Height: 5’9 - Weight: 162 lbs - Age: 24 - Substitute
Bundy played soccer in his early childhood but quit soccer to play basketball. By the time he reached high school he decided to give soccer another try and joined his high schools varsity soccer team. Through the next four years of high school he made himself known with in his city and with in his state, Many critics were surprised when he was not offered any contracts by a professional league team. He settled for a scholarship to play soccer at Humphrey University where he played with some success his next four years, Helping his team to three quarter-finals and a semi-final. Finally after long negotiations with Danza F.C. he was admitted into the professional league for a two year contract. Bundy has announced he plans to leave Danza F.C and try to play abroad.

Bundy is known for being able to play in fast paced type games and can mark players and pass well, This also reflects on his shooting capabilities. He lacks when it comes to defense and ball control.

Forwards:

From his first steps in school he attended Gulf Coast Soccer Academy competing against youth league teams and other academies across the nation. He made himself known across the nation and lead his team to many high profile matches and lead his university to four championships. At the age of seventeen he graduated the academy early after signing with Harding F.C. a professional league team, The contract lasted four years. During his first game he wowed the United States of Devonta with his performance in his first match, He continued to impress to the point it was no longer surprising. It was not soon after his second year he became the #1 ranked forward in the league. Though he played well his team struggled as a whole till a better line up was made and the team made it to two championships, but lost both. He resigned with Harding F.C. for three years and is currently Captain of the national team.

Johansen is known for his fast attacking capabilities, He has noted skills in crossing, ball handling, shooting, and works best in crowded environments it seems. Johansen as great focus and is also a capable all around versatile player his only problem is he tends to not like to pass the ball.

21- Lamar Samuel Adams [Danza F.C.]
Height: 5’9 - Weight: 157 lbs - Age: 19 - Starter

Adams resigned with Danza F.C. for a large four year contract. He currently is the second youngest player on the national team.

Adams is a quick versatile Forward, Using his speed to make good crosses and get through defenders, His dribbling and control are also noted. Shooting seems almost basic to him. Home Stadium: The Farham Arena in Sabrefell is reserved for the biggest games, but Nephara is a large enough country that it spreads its matches across the country.
Kit Supplier: Kirola
Nickname: The Cormorants

Michael Brandon is doing an excellent job at the national team, expertly managing a transition of style and focus. Under him, the Cormorants are rediscovering their identity - hard to break down, unpleasant to face, fast and assertive going forward, and always, always confident. After a decent return to the World Cup, and a strong showing at the last Copa Rushmori, the Cormorants hope to peak just at the right time and seriously challenge for the grand trophy itself. Then again, when don't they?

Tactics
Image
As always, the Cormorants play hard and physical on the defensive and quick, broad and ruthless on the attack, especially loving to absorb pressure and hit on the break. Set pieces are also something of a specialty. They usually press hard and try and wear out the opponent, but are willing to sit back if they need to preserve a lead. The fullbacks are expected to overlap with their wingers and provide much of the team's width. The strikers - mostly, anyway - are all very physical and very capable of finishing, pressing high as the first defenders but also striving to get on the end of chances and to finish what the midfield starts. Nepharim play rough, some might even say dirty - but at least it's always honest, and outright cheating isn't tolerated culturally.

Staff
Manager - Michael Brandon - Age 48
Assistant Manager - Tom Riley (EUR) - Age 54
Michael Brandon - a legendary figure for the Cormorants and Directus as a holding midfielder, Nephara's first ever player to be widely regarded as world-class - has taken his incisive knowledge of the sport and razor-sharp intellect into coaching. He's an uncompromising leader who demands absolute loyalty and high performance from his players, and early signs in his first managerial role are promising. Tom Riley, a noteworthy former player as well, has been brought in as his assistant, and is the first foreign management staff in the Cormorants' history.

Goalkeepers
Core
1 - GK - Apostolos Tsattalios (Image Falourr) - Age 30 - 80 caps, 29 clean sheets
A very modern goalkeeper who sweeps behind the defence and has excellent distribution, Tsattalios has truly proven himself in national colours after a bump start to his international career.

12 - GK - Andreas Swoboda (Image 1860 Azoth) - Age 29 - 6 caps, 4 clean sheets
A capable, reliable goalkeeper. Pretty much good at everything, though not particularly outstanding in any one department. Picked for his ability to sweep behind the defence.

20 - GK - Anthoulis Matraxis (Image Creed United) - Age 25 - 5 caps, 2 clean sheets
An athletic, quick-footed goalkeeper, with excellent distribution skills. Matraxis is thoroughly in the modern mould.

Defenders
2 - RB - Leona Rafford (Image Crisisbless) - Age 27 - 64 caps, 6 goals
A true larrikin on and off the pitch, with a decidedly combative streak. Lightning-quick running down the right, not letting her diminutive stature stop her. Suffered a knee injury midway through qualifying and is only just coming back into fitness.

3 - LB - Sieglinde Lohengrin (Image Crisisbless, vc) - Age 29 - 86 caps, 5 goals
Tall, elegant and almost mournful in bearing, Lohengrin's a composed, complete fullback with a world-class crossing ability. More than does her shift defensively, too.

5 - CB - Dieter Konoval (Image KT Moreazerua) - Age 30 - 101 caps, 3 goals
A bruiser at his core, Konoval's most at home bullying small, weak forwards. Not as tall as some might expect, but a deceptively quick sprinter.

6 - CB - Trajan Bruyne (Image Mallox) - Age 28 - 19 caps
A fiery, unreliable defender in his youth, Bruyne's noticeably matured of late to become hard as rock and reliable as anything. Decent with the ball at his feet, too.

18 - RB/CB - Danijel Brymora (Image Brinemouth) - Age 28 - 47 caps
A sturdy, defensive fullback, or a technically proficient centre-half - Brymora's versatile and very intelligent to match his physicality.

19 - LB - Lux Vicelich (Image Sabrefell Moths) - Age 25 - 29 caps, 1 goal
Another quick, spiky fullback, with a distinctly dirty streak. A street kid from the Moths with a rough past, but a very bright future. Loves to go forward and can drop a cross on anything.

22 - CB - Ryan Theuer (Image Falourr) - Age 29 - 26 caps, 2 goals
An athletic centre-back, strong as oak and deceptively quick. Pretty good at passing, too. Very quiet on and off the pitch, but radiates authority.

Midfielders
4 - HM - Monica Rowland (Image Bastion) - Age 24 - 29 caps
A fiercely ambitious midfielder with a razor-sharp intelligence, Rowland is set for great things and knows it. A genuinely assured presence on the ball, Rowland makes everything around her calmer right up until she sends a ferocious bullet pass downfield.

7 - RM - Adnan Szalai (Image Ulsa) - Age 31 - 126 caps, 38 goals
The first ever Boldsport Galactico, deemed the best player in the world four years ago. A beast of a winger, with a street-fighter's instinct. Rumoured to be illiterate. That's close enough to the truth, but his mind is razor-sharp, as is his technique, pace and power.

8 - CM - Rusalka Klein (Image Crawford City FC) - Age 25 - 30 caps, 7 goals
A lanky, elegant player who strides through the midfield with a charming confidence. Very easy to watch in possession, diligent at winning it back, but still just a little rough around the edges.

11 - LAM - Rowena Strongbow (Image Directus) - Age 24 - 59 caps, 19 goals
A powerful, old-school Nepharim winger who burst onto the scene a while back and has impressed everyone for club and country. Shaping up to be genuinely world-class, and Farfadillis has proven to be her finishing school.

13 - RAM - Ishtar Fanaiyan (Image Eastweald) - Age 24 - 30 caps, 8 goals
Iskandrian by birth, Fanaiyan's endured terrible hardships and will take nothing for granted as a professional. Lightning-quick, a bastion of athleticism.

14 - CAM - Josie Webster (Image North Laithland) - Age 25 - 6 caps, 3 goals
A tall, elegant playmaker who just makes it all look so easy. Plays with the gentle confidence of someone with nothing to lose, and the directness of a born winner.

15 - CM - Circe Rosenthal (Image Marionville) - Age 24 - 6 caps, 1 goal
A sturdy, classy midfielder who seizes the initiative at any given chance. Always getting the ball moving forward, and unafraid to get stuck into challenges on the defensive end.

16 - LAM - Regatta Aspenwood (Image Handon United) - Age 28 - 19 caps, 5 goals
Tall, elegant and athletic, Aspenwood's never actually played in the Premiership, leaving for Schottia after powering Southfell to promotion. Panoramic vision, a vicious shot, a feather-like first touch and a gift for improvisation.

21 - CAM - Konrad Gosforth (Image Mâ Âlâmëómë, c) - Age 30 - 93 caps, 26 goals
A clinical, deft playmaker, Gosforth combines physical power and Nepharim graft with a keen intelligence, an eye for goal and, most importantly of all, a flawless sense of timing. Can he fit within the team? That's the test.

23 - HM - Servet Misidjan (Image AFC Treason) - Age 26 - 42 caps, 2 goals
A very promising young midfielder, an elegant, austere and hard-running player with wonderful technique and intelligence on the ball. Still, she's not quite there yet, and can fade out of games.

Forwards
9 - ST - Estrella Hawke (Image Sabrefell Athletic) - Age 26 - 79 caps, 45 goals
Statuesque and athletic, Hawke's very strong, very quick and ruthless with the ball at her feet. Her first touch can be her downfall, and she's at her most comfortable charging forward at full pelt. As a pure striker's striker, she's world-class.

10 - ST - Heron Kendall (Image Port Christopher) - Age 28 - 11 caps, 8 goals
A journeywoman mercenary who's played in four different nations over the past four years. Tall, confident and powerful, Kendall's a goalscorer first and foremost. Has something of a 'lucky charm' reputation after scoring in each of her four caps prior to the World Cup.

17 - ST - Dragan Stavanger (Image Tannenberg FC) - Age 29 - 62 caps, 28 goals
A huge target man, Stavanger's constantly defending from the front, holding the ball up, offering an aerial threat and just generally in his element doing a thankless job. Then he went to Valladares - and then the floodgate of goals opened.

South Covello National Team Roster

Nickname: Rebels
Style modifier: -5

Head Coach: Richard Hawkins
Assistant Head Coaches: Vinnie LaGuche and Joey Egermeister

After World Cup 79 and the South Covellan Revolution, the feisty Rebels elected to turn things over to the next generation. Richard Hawkins, previously the star goalkeeper, was named head coach, but the entire team was new. Vinnie LaGuche returned as well, as an assistant coach, and was joined by Joey Egermeister, a proud supporter of the Revolution and lifelong soccer fan who previously served as Acting President of the South Covello Soccer Federation after the Gregists were overthrown.

Hawkins and his staff hand-picked the new stars, and to his pleasant surprise he was able to find a young goalie who was almost athletic as he was, in Matthew Tyler. Tyler was just 19 years old and already almost as good as Hawkins was. In time, he would probably even surpass him. The rest of the team filled in nicely as well, defensively minded as always, and, as many of them had grown up idolizing the strong defensive wall, first for the Foot Slaves and then the Rebels, this led many of them to become defenders as well. So the good old Rebel Wall was still there, great and strong as ever. The team wouldn’t be letting in many goals this cycle, it sure seemed.

The Rebels would be playing a defensive 4-5-1 this cycle, with the sole striker being the young, awesomely named star Coconut Charles. The Coconut name, of course, was a direct insult to the Gregists, Lord Almighty Gregory and the others who forbid the mere mention of the work. It was sure to be a spectacular future.

Lineup:

GK: Matthew Tyler (Age 19) CAPTAIN
LB: Pat Hauer (Age 25)
CB: Cal Yachtwood (Age 20)
CB: Dmitri Woodward (Age 25)
RB: Paul Paul (Age 23)
DMC: Dexter Yankee (Age 23)
LMC: Steve Danckweed (Age 27)
MC: Gerry Ollivera (Age 25)
RMC: Henry Ocho (Age 24)
OMC: Pillory Cantwell (Age 26)
ST: Coconut Charles (Age 20) VICE CAPTAIN

Bench:

GK: Derry Beer (Age 26)
GK: Uganda Reed (Age 25)
DB: Reed Riley (Age 22)

Revolution Stadium, Riverview

Construction has been completed on the 42,000 seat Revolution Stadium, the new home of the South Covello national soccer team, to be located in the city of Riverview, about 100 miles east of the capital, Freedom City. The stadium is located on the banks of the Goldenrod River, and fans will be able to arrive at the stadium by boat should they wish. As the river is navigable in the portions that run through San Jose Guayabal as well, this opens up the possibility that some visitng fans from that nation could visit if the two nations face each other. However, as San Jose Guayabal appears to have withdrawn from international competition for the time being, that seems unlikely for now.

As mentioned above, the stadium is far more intimate than the old one, seating a relatively small 42,000 fans, with ample space for supporters as well as a small number of visiting fans. The views from the stadium are immaculate, looking out over the Goldenrod Valley with the river in view as well. For games played in the fall, it will just be an amazing sight to behold, even ignoring what is going on with the game.

However, South Covello hopes the new stadium gives it a huge home field advantage after playing the entire World Cup 79 cycle on the road or at neutral fields. Although the World Cup 80 schedule will not be known for quite some time, the Rebels hope to stage a "soft" opening with a friendly sometime before the start of World Cup qualifying. An opponent for that match has not yet been announced, but South Covello Soccer Federation authorities are reportedly looking to find an opponent, and "want it to be someone meaningful." Perhaps a nation which the former Gregoryisgodistan had previously wronged for no good reason, and which South Covello now wants to make peace with. San Jose Guayabal would make the perfect opponent but for the fact that they have withdrawn from competition, so South Covello will now have to look elsewhere unless the Guayabalense are to make a surprise return.

One thing is for sure - when it is time for this stadium to open, the mood will be electrifying, as it will be the team's first time playing on home soil since the Glorious Revolution that saw the wicked Gregists overthrown and the institution of a new, free democracy here in South Covello. That cannot be undersold, and it is sure to be a very emotional time as well.

Ones to watch
•Fraser Philips: as usual the Tobiasia City striker delights in games like these. With more than 20 international goals and many appearances he has been made captain once again of this squad.
•Rosa Uzele: a rising star in the premier league, Uzele won the golden boot this year and is looking to kick the team to qualification.
•Arthur Slim: the most experienced member of the team, midfielder Slim managed to push Tob-An FC out of the relegation zone into the top 5 this season, as his partnership with Abajan Sulley Cromartie dominated their opposition, however his sometimes rash tackles led him to be the most yellow carded player in the league.
•Lee Ryans: the youngest player in the squad, Ryans wowed the Opal Dome crowds this season with wonderful displays of attacking brilliance. Tipped for a possible move abroad, he needs to display his skills at the World Cup to have those ambitions materialise.

Turori: Citizen Squad

Head Coach: Klaillal Tuirma
Descendant of Season 4 Turorian Player of the Season and National team legend Cuolia Tuirma, Klaillal often partnered on the pitch with Restiia Mumamba as an "All-Around" player for the Turori National Team. After being brought up through the academy system at Kionao, Tuirma signed a professional contract with Colonial Sile in Vilita for Season 35, winning silverware in the first match, the Tropical Trophy triumph over Strike. Tuirma's stay in Sile didn't last long, however, coaxed back to the luxury of Arcticala Inlet to help in their Champions-Cup qualifying campaign of Season 38. Tuirma returned to Turori during Season 44 as a member of Mliona-Lpaka AFC. Tuirma retired from international competition after winning the 67th Cup of Harmony with Turori. Playing in a unique role throughout their career - being expected to be able to play every game, in every position - even Goalkeeper, if there were no subs left - resulted in a deep understanding of each position on the pitch and the nuances that made each position different setting Tuirma up to be a well respected coach, ultimately getting the nod as the head coach of Turori's National Citizen Squad.

Nickname: The Eels

Style: -1.23

The coaches will select the squad from the National Player pool. Players are listed below, grouped by position and sorted by projection 'Depth Chart' position where the top player listed is most likely to be named the first player selected for that position, and so on. Depth chart positions are determined by performance in pre-cup training sessions, as well as performance and average ratings in the Vilitan League competition and previous appearances for the National Team. Note 'Caps" are not currently on record for Turorian Players due to federation budget re-allocation to the Cocoabo Enrichment & Enhancement Project (CEEP)

GOALKEEPERS:
Image
G.Q Disterfred II [ - Colonial Sile - ]
GK ( AGE: 35 )
Young prospect Disterfred pushed Inura Forests into the top half of the Season 38 Declasse, earning player of the season honors at the club and earning recognition as a serious propsect for the National Team. Disterfred was a member of the AOCAF 41 Championship Winning side, but did not start any of the 7 matches en-route to the title. When head coach Nycflala Kater took a back seat early in the competition during AOCAF 42, however, Disterfred had his chance to play as Vilita & Turori earned their second consecutive AOCAF title. However, Disterfred's domestic career took a negative turn when Inura Forests were relegated out of the Vilitan League, prompting a cross-country transfer to the Kionao Locals in the Declasse division. Despite the strong leadership of Lita Adjei and good performances in the UICA Competitions, Kionao was unable to get promoted and eventually Disterfred would move to Turoki Isle in order to get a chance to play in the Stellar Division. Having played his whole career in Vilita, Disterfred was eventually convinced to return home to Turori when the chance to play at Cednia Beach AFC was presented, Disterfred being named the replacement for retiring Vilitan netminder Jaqe Planst.

North Prarie National Soccer
Brought to you by the North Prarie Sports Commission

The Loons, after being knocked out of the BoF in the round of 16, now face the real thing. Could they pull a Drawk and qualify on the first try? Or will the, like many other teams, not even come close to qualifying at all?

Kits
NP SOCCER. ALL TOGETHER

North Prarie is getting kits from Flindostani provider No Nonsense Sportswear. These jerseys will be used until the WC83 cycle. NNS has routinely been the provider of choice for the NPSC.
The blue home kits will be used for most of the matches, but should there be any color clashes we will switch to the silver and blue away number.

Stadia

The Prarie National Sports Stadium

For future host bids and future World Cup qualifiers, the NPSC wanted something bigger then the Colossal Park Sports Precinct, which only seats 66,000. So they constructed the Prarie National Sports Stadium, located in the city of Worchester, 25 miles from Stonebridge and 50 miles from Wescott. The PNSS seats 130,000. This will be the first ever event at the stadium
Fans
The 1104, the North Prarie Ultras group, is passionate but nice. However, there was an instance where they cursed at Yezur fans leaving the stadium after North Prarie's 1-0 loss to Yezur in the Baptism of Fire knockout round. This was a first time occurrence, though.
Rebounding after that R16 exit, the 1104 are expected to be louder and more passionate than ever. To alert away fans: They use flags, smoke bombs, and flares. The 1104 will be in the north end of the PNSS. Visiting fans should expect a loud singing of 'Seven Nation Army' before the game, complete with tifos, smoke bombs, and drums.
The NPSC has set aside a section in the Southeast corner of the stadium for away fans. 10,000 seats are available.
Style Modifiers and RP Permissions
NP SOCCER. ALL TOGETHER

Style mod is +3. North Prarie plays high-speed, attacking style football, and likes to go on counter-attacks and breaks. We have good shooters who can curl the ball into corners of the net.
For RP Permissions, just don't kill anyone. Here's some more details:
RP Permissions
Choose my scorers: Yes
Choose my scoring events: Yes
Godmod scoring events: Just as long as it isn't too crazy. Someone can score from the center line or something like that.
RP injuries to my players: TG me first for the severity
Godmod Injuries to my players:No
Give Yellow Cards to my players:If no suspension, then yes.
Give Red Cards to my players: No
Godmod other events: No killing.

About the Union of Socialist Alpine Republics

History:

Football is played in Prusy Krolewskie since the beginning of the 20th century. Prusy Krolewskie's first international games were in the baptism of fire 59, the Reprezentacja Pruski finished 2nd in group F and lost to Santaclausisgodistan in round of 16. In the World Cup 72 qualifications, Prusy Krolewskie finished fifth in group 5 with a 5-3-6 record. Prusy Krolewskie was then missing in action until we come back for the XI olympiads and the World Cup 76 where we finished 6th in group 6 with a 2-2-8 record. Prusy Krolewskie was invited at the Cup of Harmony and did very poorly. Then, the Reprezentacja Pruski participated in the 1st Independents Cup, for nations outside of the big three regions, but had a bad tournamant either. Prusy Krolewskie tried to qualify for the World Cup 77 and failed, but still had a pretty good run, enough to crack the top 100 in the KPB rankings and recieve an invitation to the Cup of Harmony 69. Prusy Krolewskie finished 3rd in its group with a 0-2-1 record.

In 2018, every nations in North Eurasia formed a superstate called Union of Soclialist Alpine Republics. The Alpine Union inherited Prusy Krolewskie's rank and participated in the Independents Cup II but lost all three games. The USAR tried to qualify for the World Cup 78 but finished 4th in group 8 with a 8-3-5 record, this is the best result so far for Prusy Krolewskie/USAR. At the Cup of Harmony 70, the Alpine Union had one win and two losses in 3 games. Then in the Independents cup III, the Alpine Union finished first in group C with 3 wins an no loss and beat Devonta in the round of 16 but lost against Bojikstan in the quarter finals. The Alpine Union tried to qualify for the World Cup 79, but the team failed miserably. Finally iat the Independents cup IV, the Alpine Union lost 1–1 (1–2 AET) in the semi final and 3–3 (3–4 AET) in the 3rd place matchup.

All time record: 39-21-50

Alpine Union

The Union of Socialist Alpine Republics consists of 30 socialist republics, which used to be independent nations or part of an independent nation who united together in 2018 to form the Union of Socialist Alpine Republics (Alpine Union for short). The new capital city, Ibrahimovicstadt, was named after the Alpine's first and current leader, Arijana Ibrahimovic, and has been build from scratch under the Alps mountain range to avoid being destroyed by evil capitalist nations such as the Free Republics or evil dictatorships like Gregoryisgodistan, which still existed at the time. Englih is spoken as a first language by almost 50% of the population and other national languages includes Polish, Croat, Spanish and French. Most people in the Alpine Union are bilingual or even trilingual. Our national religion is margaretism and our currency is the alpine krone.

There are only two international airports in the Alpine Union (Oglethorpe International Airport and Lotnisko Zygmunt VIII w Mszczonowie) and many national and regional airports. The two international airports are on Air Terranea's destinations list and our top airline, Southern Airlines, is an Air Terranea partner, which makes transportation to the U.S.A.R. easier. All major cities has a rapid metro or bus system and transportation from towns to towns is easy with a rapid train system that connects each major cities. Because The Rooney-Charlton is an official supporter of the World Cup 80 whitin the Alpine Union, all visiting nation's players, coaches, staffs and journalists will stay at a The Rooney-Charlton hotel.

Notes

After two years away from international soccer, Republican National Soccer Team, LLC reformed two years ago just as its owner and sole proprietor was awarded the title of Soccer General by Consul Kyle Bolton. Soccer General Rule Theriault held open tryouts throughout the FFR to find the best young soccer players and the hottest high school cheerleaders in the Federation and get them under contract to Republican National Soccer Team, LLC. After travelling across the Federation and holding 60 open tryouts, a total of 27 soccer players and 68 cheerleaders were selected for the team based on their performance, (in the case of the soccer players) game tape and discussions with their coaches. At this time, Theriault is unsure whether any of the players stand out above the rest but he is hopeful that they will be responsible to coaching from the first Soccer General in the history of the Free Republics and his legendary assistant manager Sir Koby Theodore, who shined so memorably in World Cups 68 and 71. While rumor has it that looks were a factor in selecting both the soccer team and the cheerleading squad, Soccer General Rule Theriault denies rumors that Nova Hellstrom-Hancock and Lucia Bolton had a role in selecting players for the soccer team, though he does admit that Sir Koby Theodore and Consul Kyle Bolton hand-picked the cheerleaders.

In the year since World Cup 78, the Free Republics fell into a civil war. Political tensions that had been brewing for a long time between the political mainstream and the progressive left finally boiled over at the Unite the Left rally in Goldberg, Nejax. The small college town, home to the University of Nejax, was the site of disturbing political violence as an extreme progressive ran over 5 people, including University of Nejax pitcher Jurgen Eberhardt, the ace of the school's baseball team. A wave of left-wing domestic terror followed, leading to the passage of the Stop Aggressive Violent Extremism (SAVE) Act which granted extraordinary powers to the Federation Investigation Bureau (FIB) to protect public safety. 32 Republics responded to this by seceding from the FFR to form the Confederacy of Leftist Republics, which quickly became a state sponsor of terror. In the months since, the Republican armed forces have lost battle after battle to the Confederates and the FFR has suffered from many acts of terror, some of which, such as the destruction of the entries into international tournaments of the National Baseball Team and the National Hockey Team have had serious repercussions for Republican international sports. Eventually, the Leftist Republics were defeated and their territory turned into extremist containment zones known as "Charter Societies" as part of an effort to end political extremism in the Free Republics.

As the civil war was going on within the Free Republics, the National Soccer Team somehow managed to qualify for the World Cup, shocking almost everybody throughout the multiverse. However, they did not lost all 3 of their group stage matches and very much looked like a fluke qualifier. Now that some of their players are no longer teenagers, the Republican National Team headed into the Independents Cup in Schottia earlier this year, where they may have announced their return to international soccer's elite by winning the tournament, albeit with a fairly controversial victory over Mercedini along the way.

This is almost the same roster that I used in the Baptism of Fire, but there is one change because Ahmad Mukherjee went home to Kolkata between the two tournaments and he twisted his ankle trying to help a woman carry her luggage up a stairway at the airport.

Starters:

LB: Jai Mauryan
CB: Ruixiong Yu
RB: Jigme Sherpa
DM: Ashok Walia
LM: Zorawar Varman
CM: Ilyas Song
RM: Jamling Durrani
LW: Namri Ngedup
CF: Shubhashish Srihatta
RW: Sangay Gyatso

Bench:

GK: Preet Modi
LB: Ji Dong
CB: Lakpa Rahman
RB: Drokmi Gupta
AM: Fareed Aziz
LM: Pasang Chandra
CM: Faisal Singh
RM: Brian Jones-Dan
LW: Nawang Bao
CF: Ding Zhang
RW: Tenzing Bhasham

Any games played in the Sherpa Empire will be held at Dasarath Rangasala Stadium, which is located in Kathmandu, the provincial capital of Nepal, and has a capacity of 25,000. The elevation is 1400 m, which is unremarkable by Sherpa standards, but still high enough that some people might get tired a little faster than normal, and players that are acclimated or genetically adapted to high altitudes may have a slight edge.

Kathmandu is very similar to RL except that the dominant language is Sherpa instead of Nepali, and it is a provincial capital rather than a national capital. Some people still speak Nepali; but official business and signage are in Sherpa. Feel free to reference RL neighborhoods, historic sites, foods, etc.

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose my goalscorers: Yes
Godmod scoring events: No
RP injuries to my players: Minor injuries only
Godmod injuries to my players: No
Hand out yellow cards to my players: Yes
Hand out red cards to my players: No
Godmod other events: No

As always, if my RP permissions are getting in the way of a good story, TG me and I might give you permission to do more. What I am willing to let a good RPer do to my characters is a lot different than what I am willing to let some kid that posts one-liners do.

Razenthuria
Razen World Cup Qualification Squad Overview

Image
National kits of Razenthuria

The nation of Razenthuria to many people is recognized as the former colony of Afrenzia, as such, bow, a free peoples over seventy-five yers after decolonization, Razenthuria is a proud nation, with the hearts of millions beating to one drum. The Razen have looked to sport for excitement - particularly in football, and the League RZN - which has increased in importance in the last few years is the main provider of this, operating as part of the RFA's three-tier RazenLeague system, the League RZN has looked to put together a worthy team that aims to amass more points than was previously attained and win more than the three games Razenthruia managed to achieve in the first cycle. A lot is riding on the Cosumarite, Conley Goddard who's been given the keys to piloting this team in the upcoming tournament, while not much is expected, not repeating history would be a start for the national team which looks largely to make new gains ahead of this cycle, and will be seeking large improvements for the team. With a nation of nearly 79 million people behind them, there's a lot on the shoulders of the national team,

The Razenthuria team, nicknamed the Lions on account of the national animal of Razenthuria, the gold-maned lion were to be undone as their dissipation was hastened by the events of the Second Razen Civil War which officially ended the nation known as Afrenzia - generally considered to be the predecessor-state of modern-day Razenthuria, since then, the nation has striven to rebuild and destroy the signs of division, and sport served as to create healing between the nation, united around the national team, the supports, the ultras who have been dubbed as the 6th Ward Ultras - in reference to the location of the national stadium within Razenthuria have gathered around the national team, known for their use of black, old and red, the 6th Ward Ultras are an impressive site, not akin to the culture of football in Razenthuria, seeing a sign of the 6th Ward Ultras is more-contributed to seeing ultras from scocer-crazy nations, like Nephara, Starblaydia even and also Cosuamr - not an African nation in Esportiva that has little pedigree. First managed by Thunder Rivers, a well-known sporting figure who had been prominent as manager of the RazenLeague side Athletic New Victoria during the glory years of of ANV (R-402 to R-408) when the Purple Swans went on to win four league titles during that span (out of a possible six) and six domestic cups, Rivers was brought in to introduce the national tem to the idea of qualification, and it didn't go to well, he's since retired - mulling over things, howecer, he did bring experience to a few of the players we'll watch play - while a legend on the domestic circuit, that didn't transfer to international success, but that's not to worry, as Conley GOddard is to be the manager for the forseeable future, and truly be able to have the Razen side qualify for the World Cup proper...eventually.

At home in the domestic league, there's only a quarter of a season left to be palyed, and A.C. Stonehenge and the Fullham Rangers are both gunning for the title, its expected a showdown of epic proportions will proceed the final eight games to the season as it ends - there's a lot of storylines entering this, mainly with the prominence and the explosion of Kevin Kyrell on the Fullham Rangers, a player who four years ago wasn't included on the national team will now have made the team, anchoring a side that has amassed 62 goals this season, with still a guarter of a season to be played. The Purple Swans are perhaps beginning a renaissance of their own, the team picked to be relegated by seasons' end have instead kept an upper mid-table ranking and are a spot out of a Globe Cup berth, giving hope to ANV supporters and the Queen's Brigade Ultras. Razenthuria's team has been drawn from the emerging talent within the domestic league, the RazenLeague has slowly grown to become a mid-tier league with a relatively large attendance of 32,049/game according to newly-released stats for the year of R-414. It has also been announced that the RazenLeague and the lower-leagues will run concurrently with the World Cup qualification, in the event that Razenthuria stuns the multiverse and makes the World Cup proper, the league will be paused for the remainder of the tournament and resume afterwards.

There's not much to look forward to on this squad - and honestly, that's a sigh of a relief, no point in giving false sense of security for anybody, however - we hope that Razenthuria is instead put into a weak group, as a weak group could potentially se Razenthuria be in the upper-half of the qualification standings. There have been many who question the hiring of Conley Goddard, a second-division manager in Cosumar's Sekundar Division as the manager for the Razen national team, even further handing him a three-cycle contract is even riskoier - he and Rivers were co-managers in R-410 for Credrawk 79, now, given the full reigns to the nationa team, he has much to prove, that he can direct the teamd amass a team that the nation can be proud of. We may also wonder if a rivalry will emerge out of all this, United States of Devonta and Razenthuria both seem have to created a derby of sorts, and if it can be furthered that would prove to be great, as the 6th Ward Ultras disrupted the game between Devonta and Razenthuria last time around.

The Crown Republic of Razenthuria is the successor-state of Afrenzhia, it is a constitutional monarchy with a crown republic in place. The monarch is R'Verzaka who has reigned since R-410. The capital of the Razenthuria and its largest city is Tynedale, a global city and financial centre with an urban area population of 14.3 million, Other major urban areas in the Crown Republic include the conurbations centred on Old Birmingham, Fullham, Reading-upon-Wychester, Marietta and Port Perrington.

Association football remains the most well-known sport in Razenthuria, much more popular amongst the natives than hockey which had been integral to the nation of Afrenzia, in Razenthuria, the highest-governing body of football within the nation is the Razen Football Authority - sort of like this all-knowing bureaucracy that has omnipotent powers do as it pleases in regards to the governing of football within the nation. Its top league is the League RZN, there are two other leagues on the football table, being RazenLeague 2 and RazenLeague 3, the entire pyramid has a total of thirty-two teams. The League RZN has been dominated mainly by the old firm of Athletic New Victoria and Fullham Rangers, the former managed by ex-national team manger Thunder Rivers for a good chunk of their success, the side has lifted the title four times including a six-season stretch where they lifted the title four consecutive times under the management of Thunder Rivers.

WC '80
Razen World Cup Qualification Squad

Conley Goddard has now been given the reigns to managing the national team, away from Thunder Rivers - and now, he'll have to be his own man, he's already said tactics are to be changed, aiming to unleash a better parity, the Razen national team consistently failed to generate attack in the Credrawk 79 qualification, now with Equestar 80 on rhe horizion, Razenthuria has entrusted Goddard to unleash the quiet players in League RZN - and a few stragglers from the lower leagues in order to put together a scrappy, but resourceful side that can surprise a few teams. While Razenthuria isn't aiming for qualification this cycle, they're aiming for a strong finish, and a weak group would just sweeten the pot. GOddard has had experienced with coaching no doubt, he managed Helfin Fief into a spot in the Harlighet League, crafting a champion out of the team in a second league title run and has been notorious for developing midfielders, he developed Helfin Fief's main man, Neil Bravo into a decent player, who was the catalyst, and main point of entry for the team which floundered in the top flight. Now, Goddard has to go an prove to the world that this wasn't a desperation job, he'll need to go and show that he's a decent manager.

Conley Goddard [COS]
Manager, age 69 // Competitive games managed for Razenthuria: 0 (won 0; drew 1; lost 2; win-rate 0%)
After resigning as manager of Cosumar's Sekundar Ligan side, Helfin Fief, Goddard wondered into retirement, not seen for much of a year, a few months into R-410, he received a call from the RFA, on behalf of Thunder Rivers, requesting he come in as the assistant coach with a chance of becoming the manager of the future, and he accepted the offer. Goddard sat behind the bench, and watched Razenthuria - who started off so promising - ground to to a half, a failed season upon them, as the qualification stage came to a end - after which, Thunder Rivers retired from the management, the RFA would remain super-quiet as to who the future manager was to be for the side. There wasn't even a whisper, as the RFA was rumored to have interviewed a few Banijans, even a domestic coach to take the title, eventually, though, it though, it became quite clear as to who was to pull the strings at The Momoa - Goddard.

And now, Goddard is back, here to lead the team into the next qualification attempt -and despite poor early lookings from the team, which floundered in the South Toronton Invitational Cup, there's much hope for a Goddard-headed program, which is expected to compete actively for the Campianto Esportiva in the future, there's much hope as where to future lay for the side. Goddard, who brings new tactics to the national side will look to replace plaers he deemed were "ineligible" or "non-producing" out of the factor, hhe's hoping to create some better chances for the players after a failed campaign. Expect more goals to be scored, he's moving ta quicker tempo, as flexibility will be stressed in this gameplay. Whoever gets the keys to this team will have a lot of work to do. Now, its time to meet "'Dem Boys" as our team's collectively known, whos been picked to where the Blue Lion or the Yellow Torches, will there be some newbies on the pitch? We can only hope so.

'Dem Boys

Easton Thomas
Goalkeeper, 23 Club in Razenthuria: Athletic New Victoria. Caps: 1, clean sheets: 0
International Debut: North Prarie (South Toronto Invitational Cup)

Easton Thomas will get the nod as national team goalkeeper following a horrendous domestic season from Lord Pullman and a general lack of faith expressed in the former goalie for the national team, insert 23 year-old Easton Thomas, a proven shot-blocker, he has a lot on his shlouders, he'll need to score those goals for a national team that's seen a lack of faith in goal protection. Lord Pullman was simply a casualty in the net, Thmoas who made his debut in a 1-1 STIC group stage match against North Prarie has shown he has the talent and the knowledge to develop into a world-class player in the future. In the domestic league, he's been lights-out, giving up the least amount of goals at 29 - he's the main reason that Athletic New Victoria's been able to avoid relegation thus far - and a real reason behind the emergence of the surprising 5th-place ANV side. We'll expect him to give up a few goals, after all, he's going up against the best of each nation, however, he'll make the world go round and he'll gt his nods. He'll be a shot-stopper, and at 7'2", he's a man-child.

Victor Parks (C)
Rightback, 31 Club in Razenthuria: Old Birmingham City. Caps: 22, goals: 0
International Debut: Mriin World Cup 79 qualification)

Victor Parks is another beauty of a footballing player, a man who knows what he wants, he is perhaps the most charismatic of all the Razen players, noted for being sent off the pitch many times during domestic games, he is both loved and hated by the supporter-groups of the RazenLeague. Considered to be part of the "Four Horsemen", the impenetrable wall that has sustained the Old Birmingham City side for the past four years, he is a key piece to make sure that Razenthuria cannot and will not give up to many goals. Coming off a ligament tear last season, we're looking to see how well he'll be able to bounce back this cycle. A captain of a team that ws horrible last scyle, he was one of the few bright spots on the team in last cycle, one of the reasons he earned the nod to the captain's arm band once-agan, this could possibly be his last cycle with the national team too, given ANV has a bunch of young defenders who were seen at the selection camp, simply dazzling. Parks has been known to get tired easily, and their's a concern he won't be able to stop strikers effectively, bringing up some more well-seasoned enders to play alongside the man in Parks will be key for this tourney.

Aidan Psikey
Centerback, 18 Club in Razenthuria: 206 Mitche. Caps: 0, goals: 0
International Debut: N/A

Aidan Psikey is making the transition from the academy footballing level of playing within Razenthuria to actual professional RFA-sanctioned league pyramid play, he was picked up quickly by mid-table League RZN side, 206 Mitche, produced by the Redtorch Academy, he's an interesting talent, a forward-playing centerback, he'll be a key flexibility piece to moving the ball upfield. Psikey is an exceptional player, just barely above the age-limit separating academy players from the professionals, he has shined in the selection-camp he attended in Razenthuria's capital which was used to determine the qualification team. Manager Goddard emphasizes a shifting defense, and with an aging Parks playing to the right of him, expect Psikey to lean on Parks for support and guidance. At the same time, Psikey is a yonng player, he's going to have his troubles in qualification, for one, he doesn't have the fully-needed stamina he'll most-likely be coming off around the 60th minute in most matches. Psikey is the exact talent that can develop into a fully-blossoming centerback who could really be utilized as an extra midfielder due to his high-pressing style.

Marcus White
Centerback, 30 Club in Razenthuria: A.C. Stonehenge. Caps: 9, goals: 0
International Debut: Mriin World Cup 79 qualification)

Marcus White was less-than-successful in World Cup 79 qualification, he was injured in the ninth game and missed the rest of qualification, included, he didn't play during the STIC preparation tournament, however, GOddard reaffirmed he was to be playing for the national team when the time came - and well - the time has come, he'll be getting the nod to be the other centerback playing for Razenthuria. A traditional centerback, he'll play downwards, exceptional for utilizing the offside trap this season while at A.C. Stonehenge, he'll need to - especially considering the fact that there will be many strong attacking teams on display this tournament. There is worries and concerns that he'll get injured again, but he makes one of the strongest cases for being included on the stage, he has the dominating factor that will be key if Razenthuria wants to control the midfiled and halt advancement. He and Psikey will make an interesting pair, they'll both have to work further to promote cohesiveness in guiding the midfield. White notably has scored some goals in League RZN this season - 7 - the highest for a defender this season, and he certainly could score more as the Razen side looks for the international tournament, while he's never scored a goal before in international play, coach Godard can utilize him correctly and generate more goals for the team.

Dennis Crabbleton
Leftback, 28 Club in Razenthuria: Navy Club. Caps: 0, goals: 0
International Debut: N/A

Ah. Ahhhhh. Well, there's not much to see here, Dennis Crabbleton will be given the cleats as he defends the left side of the pitch for Razenthuria, he's 28 years old and still in his technical prime, but this season has been a bit less-productive for him than seasons pass, however, ignoring the stats woulbd be idotic - Navy Club is the most-defensive side in Razenthuria, and he's been a key piece to the puzzle, a high assistance as they've only given up 29 goals thus far in the season, that's basically 1.2 goals per game - on pace for the lowest-output on the season, at 35 goals by the end of the season, and Crabbleton is a goal-stopper, he prevents opportunities from forming, and he's key in the best forms for Razenthuria. I'd very well like to see Razenthuria have picked a different player, as this formation doesn't really cater to Brabbleton's more-defensive postures, Navy Club utilizes a 4-5-1m, while Goddard will manage a more-flexible counter-attacking 4-4-2, this could result in some odd play from Crabbleton, but as long as he stops the ball from reaching the penalty area, he'll very much be considered a better player for Razenthuria. And given he'll take over for Jarren Gaisley's spot, anything will be an improvement over Gaisley, who was a terrible addition to the national team and has contributed to a demise in Razen football, one of the most hated players in the nation.

Yellis Eugene
Right-attacking Midfielder, 29 Club in Razenthuria: Athletic New Victoria. Caps: 0, goals: 0
International Debut: N/A

Yellis Eugene is not the first person you think of when you think of the make up of the Purple Sawns - that being Athletic New Victoria, but, he's been instrumental for the Razen side, and given the strongly-unorthodox play that ANV has moved to, being a 3-6-1 which is basically an impregnated, half-child of the 4-5-1 formation, it can be said that we could very-well see a new rise for a team such as ANV, on the shoulders of Eugene. While Eugene doesn't wear the captains arm band for the Purple Sawns, he's been a transcendent star for them this season, at 2wenty-nine, he's been the man who's puched the balls up to Tommy Cox-Jean, which means, that, Eugene will be the man who will be ihoping to dish out assists for the national side, and, he has the long-range firepower, his foot has been behind four goals this season, including a launched volley from midfield which somehow found its way into the net. The Razen man will be a key part to this team's qualification run, and while its doubtful we'll see him in four years time at World Cup 81 qualification, we could certainly, very-well see him in the Campianto Esportiva next year, given how well he's played. He's played himself onto the national team, and its a shame he wasn't available to lead the struggling midfield last season, he'll replace Frank Peaflower, who was a nonfactor at the World Cup 79 qualification cycle, leading to Goddard not even mentioning him - a player who was formerly considered to be Razenthuria's bright hope. Now, that shifts to Kyrell at the front.

Gabriel Baker
Centre-defensive midfielder, 30 Club in Razenthuria: A.C. 317 Roses. Caps: 17, goals: 0
International Debut: Mriin (World Cup 79 qualification)

He's not too old, but he's certainly not too young - he's resourceful, scrappy and just what the Razen side might need to contend for a qualification spot - which they wwon't obviously - but one can imagine, can't we? Gabriel Baker comes in as a larger-than-life character, a member of the Roses - that is the A.C. 317 Roses who are known simply as the Roses, he won a league title three years ago, captaining the Roses to a season title in R-411, now, he's been told to do the impossible and be an entirely-different player than he's routinely been, they want him to play more-defensively than he has in the past, and that could mean a whole new midfield line, he'll no-longer be consulted with feeding the passes to the front, as Goddard has grown concerned that Baker would be unable to handle passing yet again - Baker was disastrous previously, he was unable to project runs and time things for the front-three that existed under Thunder Rivers tenure. However, a productive season at the helm of the Roses, in which they've managed a third-place finish thus far has seemingly secured him to be on the national team once-more, and while he's going to see his role diminished, he could largely be a big contributing factor toe the Razen national team this cycle.

Peter Ingram
Centre-defensive midfielder, 30 Club in Razenthuria: Battlebrook United. Caps: 13, goals: 3
International Debut: Mriin (World Cup 79 qualification)

Peter Ingram has been a revitalizing factor for the Battlebrook United team, a side that surprisingly has stunned amny pundits this season -picked to finish in seventh or a low mid-table ranking, they've stunned the league, and instead are sitting in foruth-place, occupying a slot that could shew them into Globe Cup qualification, a pure stroke of genius for the Battlebrook side, bringing him back despite his uncanny unreliable bouts was a smart move on Conley Goddard's part, he'll have to prove he's better this time around, though, at 30, the world's not going to wate fro him any more, he'll have to show he's the cream-of-the-crop if he intends to retain his position throughout the season. Not to mention, he's thirty years-old, this is undoubtedly his last campgin unless he's hoping to defy age expectations, because, a thirty-four year-old will not find a spot on the world cup roster, so, he'll be looking to go out with a bang during this cycle.

George Hikvon
Left-attacking midfielder, 32 Club in Razenthuria: Saint Derby F.C.. Caps: 0, goals: 0
International Debut: N/A

At thirty-two, the odss say George Hikvon won't make an impact on the roster, but, see, that's where you're wrong - Hikvon is a natural talent,a nd he's a proven goal-scorer, he teaming up with Kevin Kyrell will be absolute hell for opposing teams, we can expect him to be a dominating factor for any team after the way he's been over the past ten games in League RZN - that's ligs out, with thirteen goals in the past ten games - if it weren't for the fact Kevin Kyrell's been so dominant this season, he would've been a shoe-in gor Golden Boot. But, we're going to see Hikvon settle for a more-assistive strike, he's going to be feeding an interesting duo at the front - Heartland and Kyrell, so, Hikvon will certainly have equally goal-scoring hapless mouths to feed in this match. There's a lot riding on Hikvon this tournament, a person who wasn't really much of a player until he turned thirty, emerging as an above-average midfielder, and this serves to set him back, if he had reached his peak two years earlier, he could've really helped the national team, but now, its too late to say what could've happened. Its better to focus on the future, and while Hikvon's future on the national team will be short, he's going to be important for the national team.

Efrom Heartland
Right-center forward, 26 Club in Razenthuria: A.C. Stonehenge. Caps: 3, goals: 1
International Debut: Beepee (South Toronto Invitational Cup)

A new player on the national team, he made his debut at the South Tornto Invitational Cup and was the only goal-scorer of the match - but that's okay, because - well - Efrom Heartland is a freak of nature, and he's a great addition and shows that Razenthuria has departed from the likes of Ashton Garret, who is Razenthuria's all-time leading goal-scorer at...8 goals, but, that's not to be sken on, as Efrom Heartland and his goal-scoring partner in Kevin Kyrell with make for an opposing team nightmare. Heartland emerged as A.C. Stonehenge as the second-striker pairing with Chris Temples, and he's simply grown from there. He's going to be a dominant factor on this team, and will be key to unlocking the goals fountain for the team - he's keen on striking in the first twenty minutes of most games, that's where 65% of his goals came from, so, be on the look out for early goals as he looks to take the advantage early on.

Kevin Kyrell
Left-center forward, 26 Club in Razenthuria: Fullham Rangers. Caps: 0, goals: 0
International Debut: N/A

This pairing would've been much more helpful months ago, even four years ago, but, well - its here folks, and its needed, because, whatever shit you witnessed earlier is no more, as Razenthuria has moved to rlying on proven goal-scorers rather a ragtag bunch of players, bent on being "fair" to all the leagues in Razenthuria. Now, the devilish pairing has formed, featuring a stunning Kevin Kyrell and a less-than-stunning but equally-good Efrom Heartland to lead the front. So now, look for a new and exciting, and uncaged side that'll be attempting to score the goals fro the Razen side. There's always the fear that Kyrell will be injured because, well then - who'd be the guy to replace him? No-one. So, Kyrell is a golden player for this team.

'Dem Back-ups

GK: Lord Pullman, 28 // A.C. Stonehenge, (League RZN)

Of course Lord Pullman didn't get the start, he was disatirous previously, but he's quite an able goal-keeper, and he'll need to learn things can no longer just be given in the world. He'll have to learn better controlling and signals, so, he might be a feature if Razenthuria's simply winning too well or is uffering the effects of a blowout loss, he's not going to be a regular, his shine is just gone at this point. At this point, Pullman must realize that he threw away his opportunities to emerge as the goal-keeper of the future for the national team, and now he's just a bit of extra insurance for Goddard and Co., just being a member of the national team should be a sigh of relief for Pullman after his recent disasters in net for the national team.

RB: Tony Wilheim, 28 // Peachtree FC, (RL 2)
CB: William Peabody, 25 // Battlebrook United, (League RZN)
CB: Charity Williams, 29 // Athletic New Victoria, (League RZN)
LB: Samantha Aev, 29 // Fullham Rangers, (League RZN)

Tony Wilheim and Charity Williams are the only returning core to the defensive back-ups, following a horrendous previous campaign, most of the back line was shipped way, with Conley Goddard bringing in a new wave of future plays to headline the back - Tony Wilheim is having another impressive season in RazenLeague 2, he's guiding Peachtree FC to promotion, and they might get it. Charity WIlliams has been a completely different player, and she's a bright spot for the Purple Swans in the future, the Razen national team will be happy to have her as a stonr addition to the back-ups. Samantha Aev contributed to a good season so far as one of the three in the back line for the Fullham Rangers, and she's been a true help to the side, making her a shoe-in for the back-ups, ans, she's an important member for insurance if needed, she'll headline the reserves and could be a true guide for Psikey as a starter, and, if needed she might make a start or two on the front lines. WIlliam Peabody will make his debut, attempting to revive perceptions, or rather change those perceived idea, Peabody has been a godsend for Battlebrook United, and he's looking to gain ground, he's still relatively young, too.

RAM: Edward Pennigton, 28 // Navy Club, (League RZN)
CDM: Harry Norman, 27 // 206 Mitche, (League RZN)
CDM: Severus Smalee, 28 // Athletic New Victoria (League RZN)
LAM: Gordon Koremen, 26 // A.C. Stonehenge (League RZN)

The reseve midline is an interesting quadruplet of players, and they're a bunch that could have an impact if needed - Edward Pennigton has established himself a sa premiere defender for Navy Club, while he doesnt'f have the pazzaze and dazzle that other defenders have - he ahs the expectations riding on his shoulder, at 28, he'll be most-likely able to obtain one more appearance next season, we're just going to see how well he does. Harry Norman is a regular sight for 206 Mitche, while he's proven to be quiet for most of the season, Norman's an explosive talent - occupying a defensive position, he'll be able to shift down quickly, he's a good player, look for him to sub on in the 70th minute as an added layer of degense if needed. Severus Smalee is a snake - and a very good one, he'll shut you down in open space, and he's small, only 4-foot-8, but he's proven on the pitch that defenders will have a hard time getting past him in open space during a game. Finally, Gordon Koremen is just another place-holder, there's not to much that's special about him, but he can send the ball forward when needed.

RCF: Pete Merlot, 29 // Brunley Rovers SC (RL)
LCF: Andrew Willcox, 30 // Old Birmingham City (RL)

At 29, Pete Merlot will go down in history as one of the most-popular players for the Brunley Rovers, while Brunley is far from attaining the championship pedigree of other teams right now, Merlot has become a well-liked player for the league, constantly showing what a charismatic person he is. Andrew Willcox is a member of Old Birmingham City - its already been established what a great team they are, there doesn't need to be much more said in terms of their skill and prowess, he himself is a rising star, scored thirteen goals for his side, a proven player.

Other Coordinators

Assistant Coach: Peter Fermen, // Manager of Fullham Rangers
Physio: Peter Marlboro, 46 // Good Exceptional doctor

Peter Fermen is an exceptional manager, he's been the Fullham Ranger's manager since two seasons ago, in which he guided them to a third-place finishin League RZN, now, he's left with managing the national team as an assistance, he'll learn under toe likes of Conley Goddard, while he's not the answer as the future national teamanager, he's picking up valuable experience he can transfer to his league side downt he road.
I think we've already spoken on the fact that Marlboro is an exceptional doctor, fam.

Momoa

Image
Momoa is a football stadium in Tynedale, Razenthuria. The stadium holds 95,000 and has a retractable roof. It serves as the national stadium for the Razenthuria national football team. Being the biggest stadium in Razenthuria, it is also the home of the Razen supprorters group, the 6th Ward Ultras, known for their sea of black-and-gold, they're a very dangerous group, a rather violent group of spectators, it is expected heavy police presence will be conducted as to ensure visiting spectators will have a life that's not resulting in death. Momoa has a strange design, that's meant to trap noise within the stadium - seeing a large expansion, it went from a 57,000-seater, four years ago to an almost-100,000 seater as of R-414 as part of a plan for Razenthuria to bid to host both the Campianto Esportiva but also the next Cup of Harmony. Visiting fans can expect a loud atmosphere during matches.
7,000 seats will be available for non-Razen visitors during official qualification matches.

Football Association of the Commonwealth of Baker Park

National Team

The FAC was founded in 1901 and currently has 124 full member clubs, 307 associate member clubs and approximately 21,000 registered players--male & female--between the ages of 11 to 65+ as well as approximately 3,100 registered officials, both male & female. It sponsors competitions across all age groups, genders and ability levels, including 12 National Championships and 6 domestic cup competitions for men and women.

KPB ranking: 9.22 (76)
Major Multiverse HonorsBaptism of Fire 67 Runners-up
SWC 5 Under-18 Champions
DiBradini Cup 42/63 Quarterfinalists

All time match record—197 wins, 172 losses, 72 draws (current up to the beginning of WC 80 Finals)
first match--1934
most consecutive match victories--5
most consecutive matches without a loss--8 (two occasions)
most consecutive match losses--8
most consecutive matches without a victory--15
largest margin of victory--13-0 (also most goals scored in one match)
largest margin of defeat--0-9 (also most goals allowed in one match)

National Anthem--"Hear Our Voices Commonwealth"

Region—Atlantian Oceana

Nickname--since the end of the 1960's the National Team has been known as "The Bees", a period when the team's uniforms had alternating black and gold hoops. The bee is an element on the coat of arms of the Commonwealth, but the association was actually a reference made in an Italian newspaper game story when the senior team was wearing the hooped shirts.

Colors--Black & Gold (while they are just 2 of the 5 main colors on the flag of Baker Park--Blue, Red and White are the others--black & gold have been closely associated in the nation's consciousness as representative of the country since its founding.)

Home Stadium--the National Team plays home matches at various sites, but the traditional home field is Presidents Park in Shirley, State of St Leon (capacity 26,115), which has hosted more full internationals (28) than any other stadium in the Commonwealth.

For the Qualifying matches of World Cup 80, the following venues have been provisionally nominated to host matches:

Match Day 4 vs South Covello
Match Day 16 vs South Toronto
Image
Presidents Park, Shirley, State of St Leon (26,115)
Originally the city's main green space area in the central downtown district, Metropolitans FC and USL's fledgling football club both found the wide open treeless area on the east side of the park optimal. Both teams brought temporary seating to increase their attendence, but soon it was clear that a solution had to be found. In 1920, the University and the state agreed to build a permanent, covered grandstand, which was originally called the City Stand (as it was on the 'city' side of the park, rather than the river side) and when it was completed in 1923, it's roof was the largest cantilevered under truss structure in the Commonwealth. Further additions to the seating capacity evolved over the years, but the stadium retains its charm as a mismatched amalgamation of open bleachers and covered areas. Aside from USL and Shirley Metros FC (the successor to the Metropolitans), the Shirley Pioneers of BPBA and the Shirley Comets of PFD call the stadium home; it is also the favored venue for the Commonwealth's National Men's Soccer team.

Match Day 2 vs Darmen
Match Day 10 vs Newmanistan
Image
Sportsman's Park, Belle Haven, State of Baker Park (39,000)
Opened in 1921, Sportsman's Park was the largest stadium in the country for much of its first 45 years, and hosted many significant milestones in sport--the first nationwide radio broadcast of a sporting event, the first sporting event played under floodlights (until 1946 it was the only stadium in the country with lights), the first televised sporting event, and the first international soccer match played in the Commonwealth, to name just a few. It is the home of the Belle Haven Capitals of the BPBA and Belle Haven RFC in the CRU's domestic competition. It also hosts many of the same events that Keller Field does.

Match Day 14 vs Main Nation Ministry

Image
State Fairgrounds Stadium, Springfield, State of Baker Park (36,000)
Springfield has the largest stadium in the Commonwealth in a city with no major university or PFD club. The Baker Park State Fairground Authority sought to replace the all wooden grandstands that had been used at the venue for events in 1975, and raised a bond issue to construct an all-purpose stadium across the street from the main fairground location. Completed in 1978, it's first event was the final of soccer's National League Cup, which drew a sellout crowd of 24,000. The capacity was expanded in 1987 with the addition of a second tier to the west side of the structure and a new south endzone stand. The venue is host to many events, both sporting and related to the fair itself; concerts, exhibition shows and other entertainment are scheduled over the 12 days of the country's de facto national agriculture show. It also plays host to several important football rivalries, notably the annual matchup of University of the Commonwealth and University of Endover, the nation's two most successful teams, as well as occasionally welcoming the game between the Naval Officers Academy and the Army's Military School & Springfield City FC occasionally use the stadium to host high profile matches.

Match Day 9 vs North Dajao
Image
Hillsborough Stadium, Hillsborough, City of Belle Haven (17,500)
Hillsborough Stadium is one of Baker Park's finest early examples of the 4 sided, square soccer ground that is familiar to most fans. As Hillsborough is mainly constructed on the slope of the natural escarpment that was formed from glacial drift 5 million years ago, the area where the stadium sits was a rare level ground for activities; Hillsborough F.C. played matches here from 1906, and the University of Belle Haven utilized the spot for their athletic teams from the 1920's. The stadium as it is configured today was completed over the course of 5 years between 1933-38.

Match Day 6 vs Coldfield
Match Day 12 vs Great Chota
Image
Old College Park, Southend, State of Ezra (19,600)
As it's name suggests, the area where the stadium is located was a common park area for the students and faculty of the Ezra Western Normal School (now Ezra State University) and also was popular with the residents of Southend, and the surrounding villages and boroughs. The first permanent seating structure was the College Stand (now called the Main Stand), completed in 1930, followed by the Town Stand (now called the Club Stand) in 1937. Southend A.C. played some home matches at the park through their early years, but didn't make it their permanent home until 1955.

Match Day 17 vs Kita-Hinode
Playoff--First Leg vs Qasden
Image
Keller Field, Belle Haven (56,500)
The stadium is the largest in the Commonwealth; it was originally conceived to be the centerpiece of an Olympic bid; the design called for a 76,000 seat oval shape with a running track and the capability to reduce the capacity following the conclusion of the competition. When it was completed in 1973, the possibility of a quick temporary expansion was built into the finished structure; even today there are a series of concrete footers in the parking lot which serve as lampposts, to be utilized as supports for an addition to the north of the current grandstand. It serves as host to many major events on the sporting calendar--it is one of several venues that hold the UAC National Football Championship playoff game, the FAC Cup Final, and the Professional Football Divison Championship game. It serves as the home of the Belle Haven Royals of BP Baseball Association, the Belle Haven Cardinals of the PFD and hosts many college football games as a neutral venue for teams around the nation.

Visiting Baker Park? Come In! We're Open!
(provided by the Tourism & Travel Office of the Commonwealth of Baker Park)

For 125 years, the Commonwealth of Baker Park has welcomed peoples of all nations, all ethnic groups, all religions, all colors. Our citizens take pride in their heritage--both where their parents or grandparents came from and this place, that those people who took a leap of faith to start a life in a new land built. Today, we have 44 million residents who can claim their origins from all over the multiverse.

What to Expect when You Arrive: People in Baker Park can seem a bit formal or deferential to strangers when you first meet them; this is something of an ingrained relic of the values and lessons of our ancestors, 'propriety' is a word that every child and teen has drilled into their head from an early age. Many of us are only a couple of generations removed from the behavioral and social norms of our Victorian era European fore-bearers. Generally, once the introductions or the initial pleasantries are passed, people are for the most part extremely friendly and will treat you like a long-lost friend. Many will probably want to know something about your own home and what it's like living there.

Belle Haven is the national capital of the Commonwealth; it is also the largest city, the financial, entertainment, and cultural center of the country, and more than likely your first stop on your trip to Baker Park. Belle Haven International Airport (BHX) serves 38 foreign & domestic carriers and accommodates over 900 takeoffs and departures per day. Currently, the Under-Secretary of State for Immigration & Borders has no nations listed as requiring pre-travel visas for travelers to the Commonwealth for less than 14 days visits.

There are numerous ground transportation options for arriving visitors at Belle Haven International; Metro Transit Buses, commuter rail, taxis, for hire limos, private coaches, rental cars and both private hub-to-hub & hotel shuttles are available to carry the traveler to any part of the city (or further) as needed.

There are also large airports that serve the other areas of the Commonwealth where matches might be played. Both Ezriquay and Shirley have International standard airports, and capable of handling inbound flights from anywhere in the multiverse.

Within the Greater City of Belle Haven area, public transportation is widely available across several platforms; CARTA (Capital Area Rapid Transit Authority) provides for public buses, a modern light-rail network, a clean & efficient subway system and connections to commuter and interstate rail lines. Transit fares are equalized across all types of accommodation; 1 day, 3 day and 7 day passes each offer discounts off the regular single ride price. The Commonwealth subsidizes companies that encourage their employees to utilize public transport, allowing them to offset their Environmental Impact Tax payments. A monument to the extensive public works initiatives made through the last 60 years, Baker Park's limited access expressway grid connects all areas of the Commonwealth with the capital.

Baker Park's currency is the CBP dollar; the country is still integrating its exchange rate into the Atlantian Oceana economic bloc, but generally $1 NS is equivalent to about CBP$ 1.15. The monetary system is decimalized and denominations are 2, 5, 10 and 50 cent coins, 1 and 2 dollar coins, and 5, 10, 25, 100 and 500 dollar notes. As a result of the elimination of the 1 cent coin, the general practice in the county is to round up or down any prices that would result in purchases or change returned ending in 1 or 3 cents; for example, a merchant may keep the extra 1 cent if your change due is 3.31, or may return 2.54 if the amount due is 2.53.

Baker Park has a national Goods & Services Tax (GST) on a wide array of products and services; it is a tiered structure based upon the retail cost, meaning you will pay a lower tax on cheaper items, and a higher tax on those that are more expensive. Visitors can apply for a refund of the Federal government share of GST (generally about 75% of the collected tax) by filling out a form with proof of purchase via sales receipts. In some cases, GST is incorporated into the price; for example an item that has a retail price of $1.80 is probably GST inclusive ($1.75 with a .05 tax).

Cash gratuities for service are not expected, but are a rarity. Generally, workers in hospitality and tourism are more accustomed to receiving small tips, but the level of service you receive is not affected if you choose not to do so. Workers at all levels of employment are paid under a scheme known as CLAWS (Classified Labor and Wage Scale) which ensures that citizens are compensated fairly and reasonably equal to their peers.

Visitors to Belle Haven have a wide variety of activities to choose from; free tours of Baker Park's national capitol building, Parliament House, are available 7 days a week when Parliament is in session and 5 days a week during recesses; call ahead to find out the hours as well as restricted times & dates. Other major government building open for public tours include Treasury House and St John's Palace, the residence of the Head of State of the Commonwealth.

The Commonwealth State Museum is the country's most visited museum site; here you can learn about the history of Baker Park and see exhibits that tell the story of the development from commercial colony to sovereign nation. The National Gallery of Art showcases a variety of domestic and classic styles of artistic works.

In downtown Belle Haven, there are many points of interest for the visitor; Historic Charter House was the country's first legislative building, Belle Haven City Hall is a beautiful architectural landmark and the Baker Park Museum of Modern Art & Design highlights the influences that have transformed the country's tastes over its history. Also of interest are the Church of the Trinity, Company House and Landing on the riverfront, the Commonwealth Stock Exchange and the Belle Haven Arena and the adjacent Casino Square.

You'll probably also notice we have a bit of Victoriana fetish here in Baker Park. You'll see parks, buildings, bars, restaurants, streets and anything else you can think of named for Victoria, or some element of the legacy she left. In the 1960's this was seen as anachronistic and out of touch by younger generations; it was given the term "Victoria Cult" or "VC", which became shorthand for anything that was holding back progress. Today VC has come full circle, as it is embraced as part of the country's heritage.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Commonwealth, We're Open to You!
