ACME claims that they are working on an orbital laser cannon, laser rifles, and a shielding system. The companies biggest goal is developing orbital lasers: however, a major set-back occurred when ACME's initial orbital laser design did not make it into orbit.

ACME Technologies Rebrands; Folds Military Arms Division
Founds new enterprise called "Radiant Arms"

The Federation of Killer Toasters has been defeated in their attempted civil war against Carcerum. The Carcerumian monarchy has demanded that the former "ACME Industries"--one of the chief providers of military vehicles for the Toasters--be broken up.

"ACME has a monopoly on all enterprise that the Killer Toasters take part in", said Carcerumian Leader Joel Sebastian. "This inhuman treatment of the machines cannot stand. We have formerly declared AI to be persons, and so their accomplishments belong to them. The monopoly needs to be broken up."

The arms division of ACME formed an entirely new enterprise, called "Radiant Arms", that is currently supplying the Carcerumian military. This has driven manufacturing way up in Carcerum, while the Killer Toasters province has taken a hit to its economy. A number of ACME Industries' divisions, such as their WMD and raw materials sectors, have been liquidated entirely in order to pay back war debts.

ACME has rebranded itself as ACME Technologies, and has vowed to sell only civilian technology. The Carcerumian peace treaty calls for ACME to no longer be able to sell military-grade technology without specific approval. ACME can, however, continue to supply military, police, and private security contractors overseas.

ACME is in the process of folding their arms division into Radiant Arms, while civilian divisions such as A-Tel will remain untouched.
