As the new nation based on enthusiastic ideology, we have a employment ready population ready to invest their labour into new industries that will boost both the economy and international relations with Yohannes.

Uranium has been discovered in our forests of which we are willing to export for nuclear capabilities for your nation, and to show trust. It is managed by the State Run Uranium Mining company (Siee Uranium Co.).

We would like to further enquire the system of embassy set up at your nation to further establish diplomatic ties and strengthen trade.

We, as a nation willing to cooperate with possible future allies. In this way, we, Siee-Estas wish to allow building of VMK Steel Works factories in the industrial city of Esta. It is located within the center of the country, especially near the large city of Novaj Avivo.

It is worth noting that we have the civil right for religious weekends (Friday for Muslims, Saturday for Jews and Sunday for the Christian minority), and while the city demographics are evenly distributed, Novaj Avivo immigrants may bring many Jews.

The company we wish for you to deal with is the State owned Defense Co. largely fueled by military interest gained by our military service program.

Estasian State Owned Defense Company to export optoelectronics by 2019

Image... The crisis in Colonial Bigtopia and the genocide in Southeast Maxtopia have given us no choice but to rely less on the more... antiquated and unreliable of our trading partners, and replace them with new trading partners from the new world regions.........

Te Whanganui a Tara, 6 April — Siee-Estas’ State Owned Defense Company (SOE) readies itself to fulfill its fixed price adjustment contract by 2019, as it ramps up output in optoelectronics destined for affiliated firms of the Yohannesian nation state owned enterprise VMK AG.

Under the agreement, the company is set to export its line of high performance multipurpose thermal cameras and high end optics. The public limited company will also create a zweigniederlassung (subsidiary) named Siee-estas State Defence Yohannes with Yohannesian cyber security and information technology service provider and electronic integrator Elektroniksystem Münchenmôtier KG in May.

The facility, which will serve SOE’s industry distribution and logistical operations in the continent of Yohannes, will employ two hundred trained technologists and technical workers, a company spokesperson told Imperial Herald this morning. Economic and Demographics Statistics Yohannes has revealed that the Estasian company will invest 17.1 billion Quertz russling (159 million NationStates Dollars or Universal Standard Dollars) for its facility in the Kingdom of Burmecia. In addition to on-board optoelectronics for military vehicles, the facility will also distribute imported gyroscopes and attitude and heading reference sensors for use by merchant ship designs of Royal Beaufort Shipwrights Guild.

“The first batch of components and equipment are expected to arrive in 2019”, Elektroniksystem Münchenmôtier KG confirmed.

Emily Kirchweger, Nineteen Countries Minister of Economy, Industry and Trade, informed the press gallery, “The crisis in Colonial Bigtopia and the genocide in Southeast Maxtopia have given us no choice but to rely less on the more... antiquated and unreliable of our trading partners abroad, and replace them with new trading partners from the new world regions.”

Members of parliament will debate this latest issue of nation state significance next month.

Today’s exchange rate: According to the International Securities and Exchange Commission, 1 NationStates Dollar or 1 Universal Standard Dollar (NSD/USD; $) (World Assembly and International Standard) is enough to buy 107.45 Quertz russling (Yohannesian; §); that is, a Yohannesian needs to spend at least §107.45 to be able to afford $1 NS.

Royal Beaufort Shipwrights Guild and Yuno Sea Systems Command partnership in The East Pacific

Image... This is the start of something new for Imperial Eastern Loligarch and Yohannesian relationship, a company spokesperson told morning news and talk show Breakfast presenter Doll Henry this morning. Only time will tell whether the Empire of Maxtopia or the Republic of Bigtopia will approve of this latest regional update.........

Image

Te Whanganui a Tara, 6 April — Yuno Sea Systems Command Group is to invest 78.4 trillion Quertz russling (730 billion NationStates Dollars or Universal Standard Dollars) over a thirty-year period in shipbuilding related production and research and development with Royal Beaufort Shipwrights Guild, which will include the construction of high-technology facilities and smart shipyards in the region of The East Pacific.

A Ministry of Economy, Industry and Trade spokesperson and representatives of The East Pacific’s Eastern Loligarch Empire said, “By realising this joint initiative, we seek to strengthen Loligarch Imperial and Royal Beaufort shipbuilding commerce to accompany the announcement of the Agreement for Equal Trade and the Connecting of the Nineteen Countries Economy with the Region of The East Pacific Act 2018, which will pave the way for joint multilateral commercial operations by shipbuilding firms and chain suppliers in at least seven hundred World Assembly member nations of the region.”

“This development can be seen from a mile away, first kick-started by the Thirty-sixth Christian Democratic Executive Council’s decision to strike up trade agreements of equal standing with nations of the new world regions since 2015. Opportunities are there to increase shipbuilding output and diversify our market. It culminates in this partnership, the first major agreement signed with a state sponsored enterprise of the Loligarch Empire. It highlights The East Pacific’s position as a serious market, waiting to be explored by Yohannesian and Greater Dienstadi investors, and the collective strength of The East Pacific’s many fine maritime trading players.”

Known as one of the international community’s large prospering super-regions, alongside Europeia, Europe, The North Pacific, The South Pacific, and The West Pacific, amongst others, The East Pacific is home to many thriving and vibrant societies. From Adumara to Vekaiyu (Todd McCloud), there are thousands of maritime companies from seven hundred nations across the region which specialise in naval equipment, maritime research and development, and seaport logistics. “Royal Beaufort Shipwrights Guild and Yuno Sea Systems Command are looking forward to seeing more regional investors and trade partners joining this agreement to elevate the region’s [The East Pacific] shipbuilding and maritime activities.”

According to the Office of Economic Analysis and Forecast, this long-term medium-impact investment initiative will first focus on cementing new relationships and individualised inter-firm matching agreements as companies affiliated with both Yuno Sea Systems Command and Royal Beaufort Shipwrights Guild leverage on The East Pacific’s highly skilled workforce. “Aside from our flexible workforce, the geographic location of The East Pacific gives a strategic advantage that should attract hopeful investors from neighbouring regions,” says Economic Palace Senior Forecasting Analyst Clara Wächtler. “We can also take into account the fact that there are many coastal areas in the region, which will provide easy access to open seas and more opportunity for sea trials.”

As one of the international community’s super-regions, The East Pacific is located close to the traditional centre of World Assembly activity in shipbuilding and shipping since a significant percentage of the world’s governing body’s activity is concentrated in these large regions. The East Pacific is located along key maritime feeder and sinker routes, making it a particularly ideal place for us to operate in”, Wächtler adds.

From a Yohannesian perspective, The East Pacific, with its seven hundred World Assembly member nations, “has been the second largest super-region for some time now”, next to The North Pacific, and just above The Pacific. According to parliament’s monthly summary of the economy report in October, for the last quarter of 2017 the nineteen countries economy was forecast to expand less in comparison to first and second quarters because output was affected by less import from trading partners in The East Pacific region for the first half of 2017. “It showed the importance of The East Pacific to our economy,” Emily Kirchweger, Nineteen Countries Minister of Economy, Industry and Trade chimes in.

Royal Beaufort Shipwrights Guild and Yuno Sea Systems Command joint-investments will mainly focus on the production and chain distribution of electro-optics technology, machinery, spare parts, and supply inventory for bulk carriers, container ships, and tankers destined for The East Pacific market. From this thirty-year period investment, 19.3 trillion Quertz russling (180 billion NationStates Dollars or Universal Standard Dollars) will been designated for The East Pacific’s shipbuilding firms to develop green focused engineering capabilities.

15 trillion Quertz russling (140 billion NationStates Dollars or Universal Standard Dollars) will be divided for two central zweigniederlassung (daughter) groups: Yuno Sea Beaufort East Pacific Maritime and Royal Beaufort Loligarch Naval Systems, with the Imperial Loligarch government having the right to appoint their chief technology officers. An annual target goal of investing at least eight per cent of yearly sales for research and development has also been set.

“This is the start of something new in Imperial Eastern Loligarch and Yohannesian relationship”, a company spokesperson told morning news and talk show Breakfast presenter Doll Henry this morning. Only time will tell whether the Empire of Maxtopia or the Republic of Bigtopia will approve of this latest regional update.

Members of parliament will debate this latest issue of nation state significance next month.

Today’s exchange rate: According to the International Securities and Exchange Commission, 1 NationStates Dollar or 1 Universal Standard Dollar (NSD/USD; $) (World Assembly and International Standard) is enough to buy 107.37 Quertz russling (Yohannesian; §); that is, a Yohannesian needs to spend at least §107.37 to be able to afford $1 NS.

Second aircraft carrier destined for colonial Vishpanyar

Welding has been full on aye, and I feel like going for a wee break soon, says Jacob Kleinheisterkamp, Reich Werft Ardenfontein Welding Supervisor............

Te Whanganui a Tara, 7 April — Fürstenbeck Schiffswerfte & Maschinenfabrik and Reich Werft Ardenfontein have started construction of the Taeletean Maritime Force’s second Commonwealth-class aircraft carrier. Originally scheduled to be completed in four years, it will be assigned to support Taeletean colonial operation in Vishpanyar. The carrier will be the thirteenth Taeletean ship to be constructed in the continent of Yohannes and to be fitted out in the Aristocratic Trade Republic.

To kickoff the first stage of construction, Reich Werft Ardenfontein workers began by putting the specialised high strength shipbuilding grade S alloy steel in one of its slab casting machines. “This will be our seventeenth production schedule week. It has been a chock-full week of thorough surveillance and assurance control. Welding has been full on aye, and I feel like going for a wee break soon,” says Jacob Kleinheisterkamp, Reich Werft Ardenfontein Welding Supervisor.

Special design effort was taken to add these graded steels as additional materials. Reich Werft Ardenfontein website has listed the elements which have affected production cost the most, for instance energy use, obstacles to efficient automation, welder operator cost, and failures to meet schedule due to interpass or preheat during welding. “Some of these cost elements are attached with easily assignable costs. But, for other intangible benefit elements, such as increasing automation efficiency or increasing welder operators, well, it is hard for us to accurately quantify their cost benefit”, company spokeswoman Violet Stedecheinmayer reports before the Shipbuilding and Exporting Committee.

“Processing these thirty-something-tonne steel plates have pretty much been my days now. To be honest with you my arms are sore.” Unbeknown to the resigned technician, however, his contribution will affect the course of a conflict located beyond the seven seas. Kleinheisterkamp’s plight is one part of a wider 3.2 trillion Quertz russling (70 billion NationStates Dollars/Universal Standard Dollars) ten-year contract awarded by the Taeletean Maritime Force for the designing, production, component, and technology procurement of at least ten carriers, fifteen cruisers, and twenty escort ships and submarines.

According to the Taeletean Navy department website, this largely fixed price adjustment contract comes amidst the Aristocratic Trade Republic’s effort to speed up design support, domestic use, and operational integration of new standard technology ships. For instance, it has developed its own indigenous integrated ship warfare system for ease of integration and mission capability for its new carriers.

Meanwhile, to assure scrutinising Taeletean eyes, Fürstenbeck Schiffswerfte & Maschinenfabrik has used such multiplier factor repertoire as its full-scale three-dimensional product model to design and outline each construction stage of the ten carriers. This allows Fürstenbeck Schiffswerfte & Maschinenfabrik’s engineers and designers to test visual integration in designing and the engineering of components and subsystems. Some advantages from this include the ability to realise increasing modularity of many rooms and spaces in the ship, which mean less cost and time spent on refitting and future upgrades programmes for the company’s Taeletean allied companies and sub contractors.

“Since the initial implementation phase of this project, at least fifteen deck units on the carrier have been joined into larger subassemblies. It will later be set into place on the carrier, and be inspected and welded by yet another disgruntled member of the proletariat,” quips local Heartland Shipbuilding Workers United union representative Max Cherry.

“The carriers, cruisers, escort ships, and submarines together make up quite the acquisition programme in the eyes of the Navy,” Taeletean government sources confirmed this morning. “This contract has committed us to a major investment to ensure the security of our colonial territories abroad. Looking ahead, it also contributes to the maintenance of our strategic deterrent.”

Designed to contribute to Taeletean maritime security for decades to come, Fürstenbeck Schiffswerfte & Maschinenfabrik, Reich Werft Ardenfontein, and other member-businesses of Royal Beaufort Shipwrights Guild are hoping to make use of years of science and standard technology development in industrial and naval assembly to ensure the latest order will be completed by 2030.

Members of parliament will debate this latest issue of nation state significance next month.

Today’s exchange rate: According to the International Securities and Exchange Commission, 1 NationStates Dollar or 1 Universal Standard Dollar (NSD/USD; $) (World Assembly and International Standard) is enough to buy 106.93 Quertz russling (Yohannesian; §); that is, a Yohannesian needs to spend at least §106.93 to be able to afford $1 NS.

Te Whanganui a Tara, 10 April — A Phlegethon-class frigate for the Datu Maritime Force has been christened today, as slab casting operation began on the River Rhyme for another one. Datuan Maritime Component Admiral Meri Bau ceremonially started Cleyra Schiffswerfte’s specialised F class high strength steelmaking process. Cleyra Schiffswerfte GmbH is a household name in the Royal Realm of Cleyra, and the name Phlegethon itself holds a special meaning to the country with a capital city of the same name.

“The construction of two Malaysia-class nuclear submarines will start in 2019 to follow on the completion of this second ship”, Annabelle Thorndon-Stevensonn, Chancellor of the Nineteen Countries, quoted the Datuan Lieutenant Commander of the Army Land Forces, Luis De Pronto.

According to Chambers of Industry and Commerce Yohannes figures, at least one thousand jobs will be created in the small Yohannesian country over the next eight years thanks to this shipbuilding activity. “When combined, the frigates, submarines, and military vehicles to be built under the fixed-price incentive fee agreement, which includes the provision of related design components, spare parts, supporting structures, and personnel training, will support three thousand and seven hundred more jobs in its wider supply chain over the next fifteen years”, Joshua Leitgeb, Chairman of Chambers of Industry and Commerce Yohannes Incorporated, told the World Microcredit Foundation representative in the continent of Yohannes.

“We expect the construction [of the frigates and submarines] to be completed by September 2019. All the work will be done in the Royal Realm of Cleyra. They will then be fitted out in the Unaounist Democratic Republic of Datu to conclude our procurement contract with the Datuan Maritime Component”, De Pronto confirmed before the press gallery.

Pressed further by a Maxtopian reporter, the Datuan Lieutenant Commander said: “As an independent maritime nation, the Unaounist Democratic Republic must be able to defend surrounding trade nodes from increasing International Incidents and organised piracy. Just like the nineteen countries in the continent of Yohannes, Datu is a thriving nation which depends on international trade to realise its [economic] growth through the years.”

Local Heartland Shipbuilding Workers United union representative Max Cherry, however, has criticised the deal, saying that, “Of that whole contract, the great majority of the steel [quantity] will be sourced from increasingly expansionist imperial powers such as Greater Nifon and Libraria and Ausitoria, to name just two. There is no Yohannesian base industry nor materials included there. I am telling you, Ronald Chump was right. More jobs for foreign, imperialist nations. Less jobs for Yohannes. Heartland coal Yohannes being ripped off. Last month, the Grand Duchy of Dali again recorded the highest quarterly contraction at [negative] 1.1 per cent. Heartland unemployment have risen by at least ten thousand.”

“There is a conspiracy by the internationalist elite to bring in foreign money, immigrants, and resource draining asylum seekers to rob the Yohannesian proletariat of its lustre. Something is going on here. Something is not right.”

Figures from the Office of Economic Analysis and Forecast have supported Cherry’s statement. It shows that at least sixty per cent of the shipbuilding grade steel and materials needed to construct the first frigate to reach Datu have been imported from more than ten overseas suppliers to Royal Beaufort Shipwrights Guild, one of which is a state funded industrial exporter from Greater Nifon. “Put another way: less than half of the industrial base materials used to construct the frigate come from foreign nations, some of which are known for their barely hidden imperialist ambitions and deep participations in mutiple dodgy NationStates diplomacy and international incident outside Yohannes”, adds Nineteen Countries World Assembly Mission intern Clara Studenmayer.

“The Minister of Economy, Industry and Trade knew about this, and she has accordingly excluded certain information [regarding the contract] from the ministry website”, said a source from the Office of Embassy and Consulate Programme in Datu, who wished to hide his identity because he did not have permission from the Parliamentary Under-Secretary to speak to the press.

Members of parliament will debate this latest issue of nation state significance next month.

Today’s exchange rate: According to the International Securities and Exchange Commission, 1 NationStates Dollar or 1 Universal Standard Dollar (NSD/USD; $) (World Assembly and International Standard) is enough to buy 107.18 Quertz russling (Yohannesian; §); that is, a Yohannesian needs to spend at least §107.18 to be able to afford $1 NS.

Astuana invests 200 million NationStates Dollars to buy main battle tanks

Image... I have confidence in the foreign policy of the government. During the negotiation I personally went to meet President McHale, who, I must add, is a very charismatic person.....

Image

Te Whanganui a Tara, 11 April — Astuana’s government has signed an agreement worth 21.4 billion Quertz russling (two hundred million NationStates Dollars or Universal Standard Dollars) with VMK AG to procure tanks from a consortium of Yohannesian and San-Silvacian arms manufacturing and engineering companies, internal sources involved during its negotiation revealed yesterday.

Responding to media inquiry this morning, officials of the Astuanan state department have confirmed that President McHale has signed the agreement to buy ten T2009A4 main battle tanks, with Halstenmetall, Maschinenfabrik Halsten, Alexandros Babcock und Dampfkessel Werke, and Vickers Heavy Industries acting as primary contractors. Production is expected to start by next month, with the last tank included under the agreement to be delivered by July next year.

Details concerning the mostly cost plus incentive agreement, including the number of tanks that will be procured and their electronics, are originally meant to be kept out of the public eye. In light of its revelation, however, Robert Griffin, a company spokesperson for Vickers Heavy Industries, says that he had full confidence in the diplomatic reputation of the Astuanan government.

“I am fully confident of the foreign policy of the [Astuanan] government. During the negotiation I personally went to meet President McHale, who, I must add, is a very charismatic person.”

According to Astuana’s news agency, the deal was officially signed with the condition that other Astuanan contractors will be included to act as domestic partners and suppliers. It coincided with an announcement made by Vickers Heavy Industries that it will sign a 1 billion Quertz russling (10 million NationStates Dollars or Universal Standard Dollars) agreement with at least three Astuanan subcontractors. The ten T2009A4 to be delivered will be equipped with domestically produced diesel engine and transmission system, the company website said. “They [the companies] have guaranteed that propulsion and transmission will run without problems for thirteen days’ worth of operation, which was the requirement set by Astuana’s military”, Griffin adds.

The San-Silvacian features advanced combat networking and fire control systems which can identify its target from nine kilometres ahead using its infrared thermographic camera. It is armed with a 120/L55 conventional propellant smoothbore gun; designed by Halstenmetall AG and originally inspired by the Federal Republic of Germany’s Rheinmetall designs.

The tank can travel at speeds of up to seventy kilometres per hour on road surfaces, though It is not advised to go past speeds over fifty due to elevated risk of injuries and wear of parts.

Members of parliament will debate this latest issue of nation state significance next month.

Today’s exchange rate: According to the International Securities and Exchange Commission, 1 NationStates Dollar or 1 Universal Standard Dollar (NSD/USD; $) (World Assembly and International Standard) is enough to buy 107.09 Quertz russling (Yohannesian; §); that is, a Yohannesian needs to spend at least §107.09 to be able to afford $1 NS.

The Military Democracy reports on De Ruyter battlecruiser delivery status

Image... Royal Alexandria Shipbuilding was contracted to design and build the battlecruiser, with at least three Imperial Birtonian companies acting as subcontractors for the provision of spare parts, hulls and supporting structures, personnel training, and supply inventory for the other four ships.....

Image

Te Whanganui a Tara, 12 April — The Imperial Birtonia Adeptus Classis’ De Ruyter-class battlecruiser, one of the imperium’s latest acquisition programme for Royal Beaufort Shipwrights Guild carriers, cruisers, escort ships and submarines, has successfully completed its ‘shakedown cruise.’

The battlecruiser spent a whole week conducting a series of demonstrations at sea and in port, in full compliance with World Assembly Nautical Commission mandate. On one occasion, the High Imperator Lontilii of the Military Democracy himself attended the event.

“The shakedown cruise was an extensive process which would give shipbuilder Royal Alexandria Shipbuilding Incorporated and the Birtonian Adeptus Classis the confidence they need that the ship is ready for delivery”, Shipbuilder and Exporting Committee ship operation manager captain-lieutenant Patrick Angström told morning news and talk show Breakfast presenter Doll Henry this morning.

The Imperial Herald has learnt that under the original agreement, which was first negotiated three years ago to be worth at least 5.3 trillion Quertz russling (50 billion NationStates Dollars or Universal Standard Dollars), Royal Alexandria Shipbuilding was contracted to design and build the battlecruiser, with at least three Imperial Birtonian companies acting as subcontractors for the provision of spare parts, hulls and supporting structures, personnel training, and supply inventory for the other four ships.

The contract, which was agreed under a cost plus cost percentage framework, would give Birtonia the right to acquire design information license of the four ships. With a displacement capacity of forty-five thousand tonnes, the two hundred long battlecruiser will be equipped with vertical missile launching and four close in weapon defence systems, long-range search radars, and standard military communications suite.

Knight-major Isacc Hidalgo, Quartermaster for the Birtonian Department of Supply and Acquisition, said that, “The sea trials have brought us closer to seeing the long life De Ruyter and her proven capabilities be added to our fleet. The Birtonian maritime body will see to it that all four ships will operate to the maximum of their ability.”

Moving on to the second stage, the battlecruiser is now ready to go through approval tests with the Adeptus Classis’ Board of Foreign Design Inspection for the next six weeks, which will see the thorough examination of all its apparatus and technical equipment. The tests will be done to establish the battlecruiser’s build quality assurance and sea preparedness before the eyes of Birtonia’s Adeptus Administratum.

“The De Ruyter-class ships will have under its repertoire the Wilhelm II and Knootian 43 integrated combat management system, which assimilates detection and counter-reaction information from the ships’ active decoys, guns, and missiles with its electronic surveillance, infrared sensors, and warning receiver radar systems, to guard the ships against aerial and littoral threats.” It enhanced the battlecruiser’s detection and reaction potentials against modern air warfare and ballistic threats, reads the Adeptus Classis’ website.

“The integrated system allows the ship to connect its multibeam three dimensional and narrow fan beam rotating two dimensional radars, amongst others, with other ships and aircraft to create an almost complete view of the battlespace.”

Birtonia’s future Commonwealth-class carriers, Waarden-class cruisers, and Indonesia-class submarines are currently under production with Fürstenbeck Schiffswerfte & Maschinenfabrik and Reich Werft Ardenfontein, with the first shipbuilding-grade steel for hull form to arrive at their factories from many supplier iron mills outside the nineteen countries next week.

Members of parliament will debate this latest issue of nation state significance next month.

Today’s exchange rate: According to the International Securities and Exchange Commission, 1 NationStates Dollar or 1 Universal Standard Dollar (NSD/USD; $) (World Assembly and International Standard) is enough to buy 106.90 Quertz russling (Yohannesian; §); that is, a Yohannesian needs to spend at least §106.90 to be able to afford $1 NS.

VMK Defence & Steel Works, wins Federal Defense contract for new Light Utility Vehicle

City of Panmoka
Nation of Cozhuactl
People's Unified Federation

Earlier this week, the People's Federal Army announced that it will begin replacing its aging Humvee fleet with a modern alternative. Although there were many contenders, including the LY83 Fox and LA-30 Magister, it was eventually determined that the Pseudonaja Protected Mobility Vehicle by VMK Defense was the best solution.

At first glance it is over a meter longer than its predecessor and over twice the weight, and the vendor does not specify towing or cargo capacity. However, due to its extremely well handling on rough terrain and passenger capacity it was brought in for testing. It's greatest feature was the standard STANAG 4569/LVL 2 protection offered by the vehicle, with options to increase to LVL 4. Towing capacity did meet Federal requirements for light artillery such as the MIV-45 Lightweight Towed Howitzer and the M130 Cazcabel Heavy infantry Mortar.

Other competitors such as the Lyran LY83 Fox were outright rejected due to their limited passenger capacity, while others such as the LA-30 Magister were serious contenders. The contract was almost split between the LA-30 and the Pseudonaja Protected Mobility Vehicle until towing results showed no significant difference. Although the LA-30 did have a larger passenger capacity, that was deemed not enough to warrant a second light utility vehicle in service.

Domestic Production Rights will soon be acquired with an initial purchase of 1,000 from VMK directly. The initial purchase will all include the LVL 4 armor upgrades and is estimated to have an upfront cost of 1.725 Billion USD.

Agreement with Royal Imbriniumian Navy announced

Image... About seventeen thousand shipbuilding jobs in Imbrinium will be guaranteed by the agreement along with twenty-one thousand jobs for chain suppliers and subcontractors.....

Te Whanganui a Tara, 12 April — As some nations in Greater Dienstad evaluate Greater Dienstadi ship designs to outfit their respective navies, Royal Beaufort Shipwrights Guild has been granted a twenty-year fixed-price incentive fee agreement worth 2.15 trillion Quertz russling (20 billion NationStates Dollars or Universal Standard Dollars) from Imbrinium to help construct, retain, and retrofit at least twenty warships for the Royal Imbriniumian Navy. The Imperial Herald has also learnt that a consortium of RBSG shipbuilders and supply chain players from Knootoss and the nineteen countries has pledged to work together with Imbriniumian companies in realising their supply chains under yesterday’s agreement.

According to a spokesperson for the Imbriniumian foreign ministry, the association of Knootian and Yohannesian shipbuilders has promised that the costs of building Washington-class battleships for Imbrinium will not be higher than 28 billion NationStates Dollars. After increasing pressure and threats of proposal rejection, Imbrinium and the association settled on 20 billion NationStates Dollars appropriations for the ships, with construction of the first ship scheduled to start by the end of 2019.

Imbrinium’s Foreign minister Tertius Claudius said government officials were attracted with the more advanced ship designs of Halcyon Arms and regional neighbour Lyran Arms to build its capital ships. But, the government, it added, would act irrationally by disregarding the significant savings offered by the older, much cheaper Washington-class. In announcing the contract before the press gallery, the dual-purpose weapon system was described by Imbriniumian Defence Minister Demi Efthalia as, “A cost-effective maritime solution against airborne and surface threats.”

“They [the twenty ships] are going to be just some of the many lines of defence for the Royal Imbriniumian Navy,” he said.

About seventeen thousand shipbuilding jobs in Imbrinium will be guaranteed by the agreement along with twenty-one thousand jobs among chain suppliers and subcontractors. Other focus of the agreement are the modernisation of armaments and radar systems for the ships; the provision of engineering and material disposal services; domestic project support; and the procurement and management of spares and electronic test equipment, a Parliament House official in Imbrinium said.

“The nature of the agreement reflects the fact that the government is trying to reduce costs as a short-term solution to smaller appropriations. It is prioritising for the maintenance of older systems and using supplemental appropriations for cheaper designs”, said the source, who wished to hide his identity because he did not have permission from the house to speak to the press.

The first ten ships are to be built at Cormond Shipyards in the economic and political centre of Imbrinium, and are expected to be available after 2023.

Members of parliament will debate this latest issue of nation state significance next month.

Today’s exchange rate: According to the International Securities and Exchange Commission, 1 NationStates Dollar or 1 Universal Standard Dollar (NSD/USD; $) (World Assembly and International Standard) is enough to buy 107.69 Quertz russling (Yohannesian; §); that is, a Yohannesian needs to spend at least §107.69 to be able to afford $1 NS.

Following the purchase of some Heavy battle tanks yesterday by Astuana provided by VMK Industries the Astuanan Department of Defense conducted a thorough review of Astuannan military assets and has come to the conclusion that most of our naval vessels and some of our other heavy ground equipment is out of date or reaching the end of its life expectancy. Not only that but recent developments throughout the world has caused fears among the Astuanan government. That is why the Astuanan Military will be making another purchase of VMK products. Payment will be made upon the confirmation of the order is made, the order will consist of the following:

4 Flugabwehrkanonenpanzer 2E @ 6 million for a total of 24 Million NSD
6 DAT-B91 Hamster @ 3 Million for a total of 18 Million NSD
1 Hamasaka Class Missile Destroyer @ 3 billion for a total of 3 billion NSD

4 Common Multi-Purpose Frigates @ 850 million for a total of 3.4 Billion NSD

for a total of 8.442 Billion NSD in due payment. The Astuanan Government has taken a liking to VMK Industry products and welcomes VMK in opening factories or shipyards in Astuana. We also would like to make VMK the sole provider of weapons and vehicles for Astuana if VMK would wish to also do so.

Astuanan shipbuilding programme creates new opportunities for shipbuilding companies

Image... That Royal Alexandria Shipbuilding is constructing a shipyard in southern Astuana over the next two years, though I feel that it is too early for us to say whether we should create a foreign structure, or whether we should significantly add to our existing fifty-one thousand employees.....

Image

Te Whanganui a Tara, 23 April — Halstenmetall, Ignatz-Ewald, and other members of an arms manufacturing consortium in the nineteen countries will provide Astuana with four self-propelled air defence systems, the Ambassador of the nineteen countries to Astuana, Isabell Bethmann, has stated before the senior press gallery this morning. Speaking to morning news and talk show Breakfast presenter Doll Henry this morning, Bethmann said, “We have also received further contracts from the Astuanan government for the purchase of ships and heavy tanks. Included also was the possibility of extending Royal Beaufort shipbuilding partnership with local Astuanan companies.”

According to Shipbuilder and Exporting Committee spokeswoman Gretel Landsberger, Fürstenbeck Schiffswerfte has confirmed the statement, saying that Astuana’s Department of Defense has awarded the company with a joint-venture contract to expand Astuana’s capital region shipbuilding project. This announcement confirms the nation’s mission of intensifying capital building for its shipbuilding and maritime shipping industry over the next ten years.

In announcing the request for proposals in 2017, Minister of Economy, Industry and Trade Emily Kirchweger emphasised that the joint-project was realised with with one purpose in mind, “To grow future shipbuilding and industrial capacity tasked with realising the government’s naval shipbuilding programme. We are pleased that the Astuanan government has entrusted Fürstenbeck Schiffswerfte, Maschinenfabrik and Reich Werft Ardenfontein, and other member-consortium of RBSG with this important mission,” the minister said.

Meanwhile, one of the Kingdom of Alexandria’s oldest employers, a shipyard that builds ships for Royal Alexandria Shipbuilding, has also announced its participation in the Astuanan government’s programme with the hope of revitalising its declining operation since the 2012 Gholgoth Crisis.

A company spokesperson confirmed before the senior press gallery, “That Royal Alexandria Shipbuilding is constructing a shipyard in southern Astuana over the next two years, though I feel that it is too early for us to say whether we should create a foreign structure, or whether we should significantly add to our existing fifty-one thousand employees.” Royal Alexandria Shipbuilding said it will build suitable covered sites in accordance with Astuanan technical standards and laws, next to the capital port of Astuana to construct parts of containers and tankers, and manage an existing working piers for employees to work on ships. Minister Kirchweger said the project is part of the nineteen countries’ continuing effort to rebuild since 2012 and further intensify modernisation of the economy to 2025.

The Nineteen Countries Conference on Shipping and Trade reported that after passing a declining scenario in new shipbuilding order since the crisis years of 2011-2013, for the first time Royal Alexandria Shipbuilding books have shown clear positive trend. “The excessive orders received prior to the 2011-2013 crisis years created a disproportionate over supply of tonnage and this might need some more years to adjust even as the international community seems to be growing faster than ever before”, observed conference chairwoman Elisabeth Wahlgren.

“However, whatever the economic scenario of the international community, the shipping communities need to replace their old tonnages with new ones. Realistically, common sense will show that around fifty per cent of an international community’s total commercial fleet will have an average age of more than twenty years, amongst which the general cargo ship should cover quite a large share. Around fifty to sixty per cent of general cargo ship should realistically be more than twenty years old, unless the community of nations involved does not acknowledge common sense principles of economics. Therefore, there should be a huge upcoming demand of small size general cargo or multipurpose ship.”

Managing director Benedict Harnisch is scheduled to discuss the overseas expansion in detail at a meeting with central suburb Kelburn business leaders tomorrow morning.

Members of parliament will debate this latest issue of nation state significance next month.

Today’s exchange rate: According to the International Securities and Exchange Commission, 1 NationStates Dollar or 1 Universal Standard Dollar (NSD/USD; $) (World Assembly and International Standard) is enough to buy 107.83 Quertz russling (Yohannesian; §); that is, a Yohannesian needs to spend at least §107.83 to be able to afford $1 NS.

Important Storefront Update

Hello! I will try to make this short. I don't have much time for NationStates anymore, and I feel that I've had my fun (to the max) worldbuilding and storytelling as fantasy, freeform NS MT, etc. nations. The problem with real life is... we have a lot of things to do, and there will be time when we have to cut back on our recreational (this case, NationStates) time. Cutting back on recreational time means that we must focus on "where to go from here?" and kinda concentrate on a smaller part of the game. I have decided to do just that.

I have had sooo much fun roleplaying in a freeform setting; as full NationStates population nation, fantasy, non-human, etc. But the time has come for me to cut back on my fictional NationStates time significantly (again, due to real life commitment) as a result VMK has been rebranded to reflect my new goal. Those who have been watching my in character threads since the middle of 2017, from the Archive of Government thread, to the Hansard parliamentary thread, to the Tales from Yohannes the continent thread, will know that I have focused more and more on realism modern technology worldbuilding. Note that this is not because I believe it is the best. I am still open-minded as I was; I love seeing Future Technology, non realism modern technology nations, etc., all I enjoy reading so long as the writers enjoy NationStates.

I have removed all designs that I feel do not meet the high standard I expect from my designs today in 2018. Furthermore all designs in this storefront will be strictly realism Modern Technology designs from now on. There will be new rules to follow also, which I have written @opening post.

I know that many people will dislike me for doing this. But I don't have much time for NationStates anymore, and the only thing I love doing lately (and I don't see it ever changing, for it has gradually been happening for me since 2017 um non-stop, yeah).

Thank you for your understanding. From here on, the company behind this storefront will be a relatively small fictional company (in comparison to some of the more humongous out there), and I hope that people will understand that (e.g. the fact that I won't be able to accept orders that are larger than a certain number due to lack of industrial capacity by the companies to produce the designs at such a fast rate, etc.)

edit: I will be expanding the OP gradually and will add more designs once I have got around to designing them

OOC: Sad to hear about it, but it can't be helped. We all have a life outside, and to be honest, I haven't been able to get on NationStates as frequently as I used to, either. Still, good luck with the thread. ;)

Out of character: Thanks Wolfenium! Though the more cynical of players can also say that the reason I've done this is to get away from having to reply to 12 pages' worth of orders/IC posts (I honestly don't think I'll ever be able to keep up; so restricting myself to this will hopefully keep the IC orders down a lot/allow me to be able to get away from NationStates for months and not having to reply to a long list of backlog posts from other players

Another reason is the 2018 side of me not being happy with the quality of the designs of old VMK. Some - such as Dreadnought strategic bomber - has huge potential in terms of strictly MT (I liked the way I have drawn it back in 2015) but I'll need to make the writeup more informative before I can release that design for export again; otherwise for the 2018 side of me it's just a pretty picture and not a proper design (a design is not just a picture; it coontains informative writeup)

Yes :) And anyone can do whatever they like with them (I have no problems with people reselling my old designs if they want)

Out of character information: Toquasia, just assume this is after the design has been completed. Also, 14 May; that's just 5 days short of 3 years since you've posted the order here. This got to be a new record for reply lateness!

Excellency Adam Marston
Minister of Defense
Government of the Republic of Toquasia

Subject: Contract for Procurement by Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Toquasia

Dear Minister Marston,

The International Sales and Export Office has received your letter sent to the Board of Industrial Leaders and Procurement Training and Development. Attached policy from the Toquasian Procurement Office has been forwarded to the Senior Industrial Leader Team for review.

After a review of your letter and confirmation contract, the Republic of Toquasia cost plus incentive fee terms and conditions satisfied the Office of Export Regulations’ contract requirements for a cost reimbursable agreement. We have recorded your intention of acquiring ten ZM-7L Dreadnought aircraft, with special upgrades implemented and secondary systems and softwares withheld. Production and assembly of materials for the aft-centre and outboard sections will start next week, with first delivery of the order to take place no later than 112 working days after the date of signing.

Initial payment as discussed in our discussion and meeting held over the last few weeks can be done through provided secured channels of any one of the following: Bank of the Atlantic, Bank of Yohannes, or Sacrosanct Bank. As agreed and stipulated by the Marshal of the Toquasian Air Force, our technical team will arrive in your facility to assist with procurement development, maintenance, support, training, and technical details to fully integrate the ZM-7L for the Republic of Toquasia Air Force. Further, the Luftwaffe Primary Training College in the Kingdom of Alexandria has indicated it is interested in aiding the training of Toquasian personnel.

I hope that I will be able to attend the contract declaration and agreement event next week, and I look forward to seeing you then.

Best regards,
