How would your nation react to an immigrant caravan?

The Malagarian government would recognize them as an invading force and would hold them in one of the old internment camps until their home country makes arrangements to retrieve them.

We would stop them at the border and determine who can get a work visa or be an immigrant. The other ones we would send home. We have quite a few international companies if they would be sailors or other types of construction workers. Our recycling and construction plants need manpower in foreign lands.

Of course many of them would be put to work building border fences and checkpoints.

Such a major immigrant wave would be vetted to see if they are harboring any malicious intent or reactionary views. If they are clear, they'll be welcomed and provided with housing and opportunities for work and education - most likely in underdeveloped areas in need of more working hands.

If the migrants are not found trustworthy, they will be offered re-education courses meant to purge prejudice and instill class-conscious values of a good Soviet citizen. Those who staunchly refuse re-education will be turned to the nearest country willing to take them.

Blacks and Muslims are more likely to be turned away whilst white humans and sapient ponies are more likely to be accepted to join us. They would then be distributed throughout the country and found jobs based on previous experience and skill. If they do not have any expirence or skill, they will be given the option of taking up a unskilled, low paying job, or they would be drafted into the military.
Children would be made to learn Ingalian and allowed into schools near where their parents worked.

The Tierran border is heavily militarised. Aside from two semi-official crossings with Tyre Major, the border is closed. Ships which attempt to cross the border illegally are boarded and their crews are arrested.

Nifon has no land borders and as such only way for the immigrants to enter would have been by sea. If such was the choice, they would have been met with the Imperial Nifonese Navy and properly detained - most likely a converted passenger ship would have been used to temporarily store them.

Each individual case would be then, on such ship, analyzed. If they will be however economic immigrants, they will be turned back to their homelands, as would those without valid documents of identity. The small percent that would get into Nifon will be since the start subject to heavy Nifonization from the start. Those who would have refused to Nifonize will be kicked out.

Zhouran itself is an archipelago, the only way to illegally enter Zhouran is by sea. However, similar to Australia, Zhouran deploys naval warships to patrol the nation's coastline. "Boat people" are not welcome in Zhouran, and even if they somehow manage to sneak in, they'll still be caught by the time they're on land. Once caught they'll be placed on detention and will be sent to any nations that are welcoming towards economic migrants (aka "refugees").

If undocumented, we can register them here and check out the papers when they arrive in the city to find work or a place to stay.

Travel by air is frequent and one of the quickest ways to travel, as there are never any traffic jams up in the air.
