Welcome students to an exhilarating new approach to secondary education! As our name may suggest, we are no ordinary highschool. No, we dedicate ourselves to all the future pilots and combat aces out there who love the thrill of flying as much as we do. We specialize in WWII era aerial combat, and our aviation team is among the finest in the world, competing with other schools from all corners of the globe.

Intrepid is open to all students across NationStates, with the only prerequisite for students being already having a pilot's license. Still new behind the yoke and not comfortable in a combat situation? Don't worry! We will give you the skills it takes to master the art of flying like an ace. Thanks to our generous funding, we are able to fulfill all aircraft requests made by our students, meaning so long as your desired plane falls within the time period accepted by the Aerial Combat League, we will provide it for you!

Girls Und Panzer, but with WWII aircraft instead of tanks. Intrepid School for the Aerial Combat Arts is a participant in the Aerial Combat League; a global network of high schools which partake in aerial combat as a sport. Aircraft from WWII and earlier will be accepted, it's your choice as to what you want to fly and how many different aircraft models you want to fly. Early jets will be accepted, so long as they were designs from the second world war. Prototypes and experimental aircraft will also be accepted, within reason.

If your aircraft requires a crew of several or more people to operate, be sure to write characters to fill those seats. They do not have to be as developed as your primary character, however at least provide names.

Physical Description: Physically speaking, Viktoria is very attractive, but modest. Her features are almost a source of embarrassment for her as she generally attempts to hide her feminine traits, not always successfully. Brief Bio: After recently losing her father, and struggling in her past school, Viktoria is transfered to Intrepid by her mother in hopes of her overcoming her personality flaws and becoming a better leader. Viktoria is still a relatively new flyer, and has a lot to learn behind the yoke.

Whereas Viktoria is quiet and reserved, Lilija is outgoing and confident. She is a friendly person, however is very protective of her older sister and will not tolerate meanspirited actions taken against her.
Brief Bio: Lilija has spent the past few years hopping from school to school, her mother unable to decide upon what path should be taken for her education.

Katlin sports her gray hair in tied twin ponytails and always insist on wearing her "uniform" when flying.

Brief Bio: Katlin grew up alongside her grandfather who was a former fighter pilot during WWII. Throughout her childhood, Katlin's grandfather would regale her with tales of the fighting in the skies and what it was like. These tales were quickly imprinted on Katlin. As she grew up she only thought of flying planes and experiencing what her grandfather experienced. Now it seems Katlin will have her chance.

Her long black hair is kept to the side by one yellow pin on her left side. When meeting new people, particularly adults, she shows signs of anxiety, especially in her speech, but does her best to cover it up.
Brief Bio: Ayako has always had a rough life, being an orphan and suffering from extreme anxiety. When she was a young girl her counselor took her out to a park to see how she would react. The counselor witnessed what she would call Ayako's passion, which was the sky and the birds in the sky. Since then she has successfully asked Ayako what her aspirations are, which Ayako replies with "To fly". With the permission of the orphanage she has signed Ayako up for (XX) Combat flight school, as they feel this will be a great idea to allow Ayako to be herself. Albiet a rookie in the "Combat" part she has practiced some basic flying classes, and is eager to learn more.

Physical Description: A tall, dark-eyed boy, with generally poorly maintained features. Nikolas bears the scars of his years as a street urchin through the deadpan stare that frequently creeps across his face. Through both genetics and life experiences he has developed a noticeable stutter and a powerful fear of tight spaces and the dark. However, as a person Nikolas is surprisingly confident and outgoing, usually maintaining a small grin on his face when he can. Unfortunately, he rarely makes the effort to display his outgoing nature and often comes across as merely strange to those who meet him.

Brief Bio: Nikolas grew up in an affluent land-owning family in the rural Lyakda Province of Selviand, surrounded by his several younger siblings. As the eldest of the children he was eventually expected to take over the property, so his father, Eugen Anthis, spent many hours teaching him to ride, shoot and fly from a young age and even suggested Nikolas not attend school to focus on more practical skills. Yearning for the chance to leave the farmstead and meet new friends, Nikolas (with the support of his mother) rejected the proposal. Towards the end of Nikolas's primary education the grazing industry began to falter in Selviand, as white-collar job opportunities started to appear in urban areas and imports from other nations began to provide the majority of Selviand's meat. This also meant that Eugen's land drastically decreased in value, leading to the family make the decision to move to Krykan.

Neither parent could find work and Eugen began drinking heavily to cope with the strain. Mrs Anthis died of illness not long after this and Eugen killed Nikolas's youngest brother in a fit of blind rage in response, before being arrested and detained by the police. Nikolas found himself forced to take care of the family soon after, and managed to contact old family friends from Lyakda to distribute his siblings among. Despite the pleas of his siblings Nikolas, now 12, decided not to accompany them, preferring to try to find his own place to live with the little he had to complete his education at one of the Secondary Academies in the city. In order to support himself he worked for several gangs, mostly running minor errands and anything else that wasn't likely to get him killed. At the end of his final year an opening appeared in Krykan for a place in the Intrepid School for any adolescent with flying experience. Nikolas's desperation to leave the dark underworld of Krykan drove him to apply for the position (despite having only a few hours of flying experience when he was 9 years old), which he gained due to a lack of any other applicants. As with almost everything else in his life, Nikolas chose to make the best of the school and quickly developed his previously only minor interest in aviation into a more passionate desire to fly (specifically to fly as far away from Selviand as possible).

Physical Description: Tall and thin with brown hair and blue eyes. Personality-wise, Johann is a consummate professional with a strong sense of honor and duty who constantly strives to better himself and make his father, and his country, proud.
Brief Bio: Eldest son of the war hero and Brusian Consul Frederick von Braun, Johann was brought up being taught about the importance of honor and service to his country. Hoping to follow in his father's footsteps, when Johann came of age he decided to attend Brusia's most famous military academy to better prepare himself for a career in the military. It was in the military academy at the age of 14 when Johann first piloted an aircraft alongside an instructor after joining the academy's flight club. That first flight changed his life, as he instantly developed a passion for soaring above the clouds, and proved to be a natural behind the stick.

He devoted every minute of free time he had to learning more about piloting, and took to the skies to put his studies to practice at every available opportunity. By the next year, he was regarded as the most skilled pilot in the academy, and his instructors saw him as an excellent candidate for the Brusian Air Force. Hoping to further hone his skills for this purpose, the academy's chief flight instructor got in touch with an old friend of his at the Intrepid School for the Aerial Combat Arts, and impressed with Johann's dedication to flying, Intrepid offered to accept the young Brusian as a transfer student in the next year's class. After getting his father's permission, Johann happily accepted, and at the age of 16 he transferred to Intrepid.

As he was now surrounded by some of the best young pilots in the world, Johann redoubled his efforts to become the best pilot he could be, and over the last two years he studied and practiced almost non-stop. As this left little time for socializing, Johann is considered something of a loner by many in the school, and his single-mindedness hasn't exactly made him the most popular guy around, as many believe all he cares about is becoming better than everyone else. In truth however, he isn't at all opposed to working with others, and he's far more concerned about making his father and country proud than he is about how he matches up against other students.

Brief Bio:: Aayden Ahrendt had that of a semi-normal life, With some above average bullying thanks to his stature and dress. But his parents were colonels and Majors within the UOESS armed services and putting personal gain in front of their child he was shipped off to the so-called Air combat school, As well as giving them the opportunity so they could say they were sacrificing everything for the state.it would also more likely then not make him a airman with wings. Brief Bio: even as a boy in country side Kentucky Jason admired planes he went to every airshow there was. He would often go to the museum and gaze in aww at the mighty planes. As time past his love for planes only grew he would often ask his distant neighbor if he could fly his cropduster. Of course it wasn't a surprise for his parents when Jason asked them if he could attend a school for aviation.
Now as Jason stands at the front doors of the highschool he smelled a wife of opportunity and chance in the air. He could hear the roar of planes up above and deep down he hoped that that could be him soon.

He is a rather average 17 year old, not really skinnier or heavier than the average, just pretty average all around. His face, again, seems normal, except for the fact that it is freckled and slightly paler than usual.
His voice is a bit deeper than usual. He likes to wear a semi-formal outfit, but not really "formal". The things he usually wears (not including his pilot's dress), is a nicer white shirt, a grey vest, and a black tie with khaki dress pants, but he always seems to make this outfit look informal. His hair is always black, not really ever combed unless his parents are around, which they rarely are.

Brief Bio:
Son of a wealthier family in Vietmihn, during the recent conflicts, his family was forced into hiding in the countryside, as they were some of the only good elements of a corrupted unstable government pushed into hiding by communist rebels in the north and fascists in the south. He was sent to Intrepid because, frankly, it was the only place that they could send him that he would be able to do what he liked and was interested from a younger age, his father actually working in the Vietmihnese Air Force as a commander of a bomber during the 90's. He made it up into the Department of the Air Force, where he would become part of the wealthier class of the nation, something the family did not intend to become. Eric was forced into a childhood of being trained how to become a government official later, but this only made his passion for flying, a passion his father, though never really around, always encouraged. His father was finally reunited for good with his family when they were sent to hiding last month, and this was when he realized that Intrepid was a good place to send his talented son, and a good place for him to be able to live not in hiding.

How extensively can we modify our aircraft? I kinda wanna slap a Rolls-Royce Adour Mk. 106 onto an F-80C Shooting Star and give said F-80 full fly-by-wire controls, stabilators, a glass cockpit, and IRST system to fire off some AIM-9X Sidewinders.
