I am the Pursuit of Happiness, founder of Bhutan. Some of you may know me by my mortal name "Codger". Similiar to its real life counterpart, the goal of Bhutan is to achieve greater happiness in all things. After a long period of soul searching, I have come to the realisation that true happiness could only be achieved by giving, not receiving. A large rare collection of cards won't make you happy. A large bank can not fill the void in your heart.
We should all also take the time to reflect what we are actually doing when we set and ask or bid for a game. We are judging fellow nations, saying that somebody is 'this much' and that some nations are 'worth more' than others.
This is an immoral practice. All nations deserve dignity. If there is to be any judgement, then it should only be how nations keep their residents happy.
In the spirit striving towards enlightenment I declare the following:
All cards received by the nations Pursuit of Happiness or Codger shall be gifted to interested nations with the highest 'Cheerfulness' score. Set a bid or post in the thread so I could be notified.
Recipients are encouraged to buy the corresponding card at sale at equal to the gifting fee to to cover costs to keep the charity going.
Others are welcome to use this thread to promote charity and gifting. Let us work together to break away from greed and material possessions. Charity is the true path to happiness and freedom.
