In 2014, a terrorist organisation known only as 'The White Masks' starts gaining prominence on the international stage. With an unclear motive, and the capability of attacking anywhere in the world at nearly any time, without regard to their victim's age, race, religion or nationality. They became the subject of a number of Counter Terrorist strikes and investigations, turning up with minimal leads despite casualties and arrests. The world started massing their knowledge together, despite previous grudges.
In early 2015, Team Rainbow was reactivated under UN Supervision, after almost 5 years dormant. In the same period Cambridge University came under a biological attack by the White Masks. While Team Rainbow responds within the hour, and removes any and all physical threats from the University's library and nearby dormitory, casualties still reach into the hundreds due to the biological agent used in the attack. Similar events would continue for the next three years.
It is now February of 2018. Team Rainbow's Division A has made admirable progress against the White Mask threat, but their progress has stagnated, a limit of how often and where they can easily deploy has proven to make their jobs difficult. To circumvent this, Six, the acting director of Rainbow, has been authorized to commission Division B of Team Rainbow, to pick up the slack that Division A can't take up on their own.

- Public Intoxication (August 22nd 2008)
Psychological Evaluation: An owner of a strong moral conviction and a heavily empathetic individual, Hannah has been reported as exhibiting anti-social tendencies in a somewhat contradictory report. Both are true however, despite Karolina's willingness to put her life on the line for strangers for no real benefit to herself, proves she's someone what empathetic to her fellow man. However a distinct lack of social tact and a somewhat repressed social strength simply point to a repressed social circle in her childhood. Her curt addressal, rather abrupt social skills, and somewhat cynical view on life give an outward appearance of misandry, abrasiveness and anti-social personality disorder, however Karolina possesses a deep sense of appreciation and respect for her team mates regardless of their contribution or actions. However, post service in Chechnya, Karolina has exhibited mild sadomasochistic tendencies in both combat and off duty environments, likely as a result of potential brain damage as a result of the blast.
- Fractured Tibia (March 30th 1993)
- Perforated Eardrums (September 14th-December 15th 2008)

She has been noted as a potential hazard by a number of operators in Division A of Rainbow, retarding her deployment and recruitment until this point. Most notably being a quote from Operative Fuze stating "She has an unhealthy obsession with high explosives."

Biography
Born to a schoolteacher and nurse in Samara, USSR, Karolina was never a child left wanting, her parent's occupations giving enough for her to live life with what she needed. Academics and a focus on being as good a person as she could be were enforced in her home, the Eastern Orthodoxy values within somewhat contradictory to that of the USSR's official banning of religion. Though with the USSR's collapse, hard times happened upon the family, as with most family's during that time.
Those hard times strengthened Karolina's faith, finding a source of hope as her family lay crippled for a time due to the nation's economic hardships. However, as her family got back on her feet, she found a different cause in helping those who couldn't help themselves. Though her family's hardline views on academic achievement took priority, and although her views were elsewhere, she followed her family's expectations, enrolling in Samara University for an Electrical Engineering degree. Afterwards, she walked out with a bachelor's degree, and promptly joined the VDV. Her role wasn't solely combat related, having been part of the engineering unit of the division she was assigned to and with an electrical engineering degree, she was trained in ordinance handling, ranging from arming and placing of high explosives to disarming them.
It was a job that was mostly one sided until a fateful day in September of 2008. AFter finding a car bomb, she and her squad were called in to disarm it. And while an extensive effort was made, a triple redundancy system of timer, phone, and mercury kill switch made defusal in any reasonable timeframe impossible. And while Karolina was yelling to get clear, it detonating, blowing out her eardrums, embedding bits of metal and rock into her back and legs, and knocking her unconscious.
Drifting in and out of consciousness, she would awake 53 hours later in a hospital in Pyatigorsk, stitches in her back and barely able to hear. She would spend almost a quarter of a year in the ward, and another 4 months recuperating. It was then her now mentally altered manner of thought and drive took her elsewhere in life. With a rather twisted and ironic new outlook on high explosives, she would spend her leave learning new ways to ambush the ambushers, and studying western weapons. Eventually she would come to finalize a design for a portable countermeasure system, one that could save lives of whole squads, yet remain within the confines of a backpack: the Chasovoy Electrical Countermeasure Pack. In her own words, "A device that took inspiration from the American DUKE system, as well as the UK's 'Moni' Signal Disruptors. It uses a scrambling signal to delay or outright remove the ability of remotely triggered explosives to detonate."
As she joined and passed Alpha Group's rigorous training as one of the very few women to join a Spetsnaz team, she continued development, eventually culminating in a pack and surveying system, sending a signal to a specialized HUD on her helmet to display the outlines of explosives within range of the jammer pack, based on composition alone, and not from electrical signal, allowing her to spot potentially unjammed ordinance and pick a safer route.
Due to this, she was selected for a possible position in Rainbow, but with a number of those in Division A with hazardous histories with the woman, she was sidelined until further notice. Now she's been selected as the Team Lead for Division B.

As with any warning label the below are written not because I expect people are idiots, but because I've actually seen people do exactly as detailed below in RPs like this below, and I now have to put up warning labels to avoid repeats. They know who they are. So here we go:
- Your characters are Special Forces. They should act as such. Punching a subordinate will get you canned, punching a superior doubly so. Calling a teammate from the middle east a rag-head will get your character punched, and probably then canned. Mouthing off against a superior when they give you an order will result in something worse. In short, don't be Private Joker.
- Use common sense. If you're standing in a cloud of VX Gas, in a rather flimsy MOPP suit, don't write that your character got shot. Your character will die, and then you'll have to make a new one. Despite what you may think, I don't actually want to kill people.
- Don't carry more than your body weight. Generally speaking a US Light Infantryman will carry roughly 180 pounds in his pack. That includes all of his equipment, from NVG, to ammo, to a bedroll, to MREs and Water. As an SF unit, at most you'll be carrying some extra ammo or a special gadget. So a few hundred rounds of ammo for everyone, two primaries, a ballistic shield, a few pounds of C4, grenades, a secondary, an AT launcher, and a full BDU with armor is asking to have sniper top your slow ass.
- Gear up appropriately. Don't bring a drum of 12 gauge buckshot to a tubular hostage situation, it'll result in a very high amount of casualties, and you'l be booted from the force faster than you can say "Undisclosed chemicals in the ventilation". That being said, also don't go without your helmet. You madman.
- Remain aware of the layout and objective location, and for the love of God, listen to what's happening in the OOC. If several people are telling you not to throw frag grenades into the next room containing the sole HVT of the operation, and you throw a frag grenade into the room, don't get angry when you severely injure the hostage. And don't say it wasn't your fault when your character gets the boot.
- If you bum rush OPFOR alone, don't expect to make it much further. Especially if you straight up write yourself getting shot by a high caliber rifle near your heart.
- No one fights alone. If you end up in a situation where your clearing a building, don't try to clear a room alone, and furthermore don't announce that you're entering the room before swinging the door open. You'll eat both lead, and a splintering doorway.
- The words of your allies are as sacred as the manuals you read. Just because they have a lower rank, or happen to be younger, doesn't mean that their advice is useless. If someone says that sending your ammo bearer and sharpshooter to perform close-in-recon is a bad idea, it'd be a good idea to hear them out and possibly revise your plan. A bad idea is to replace the ammo bearer with the man who would dare question your orders... Despite them being the platoon's only AT Specialist. That's just shitty leadership, especially when both become wounded as a result.
