Parties: There are five political groups that represent the spectrum of politics in North Calaveras. While many political groups share common themes with real life ideologies, due to the culture and history of North Calaveras they may have developed unusual to the norm. The decision of political change can have drastic effects on the nation which can be both positive or negative.
Political Groups
Name: North Party/Fiesta del Norte
Ideology: Centrism, Pro-LGBT, Mixed Market, Pro-Life, Pro-Strong Police, Pro-Weak Military, Federalism, pro-minimal immigration

Background: The ruling faction of North Calaveras, the North Party is a centrist party with strong historical roots and a calm even headed approach. The faction is stable and is a mix of conservative and liberal elements, acting as a coalition in some respect. The party attempts to compromise on issues but can sometimes have difficulty passing legislation and suffers for this and is notoriously inefficient and has been inflating the currency lately. Regardless, The North Party is the home for the every man who cares little for politics or those who just wish to remain the status quote.
Goals: Maintain the current status, however, the party is looking at building a massive indoor sports center as a campaign promise, The Stadium of the Athlete/Estadio del atleta.
Name: Citizens Liberty Movement/Movimiento Ciudadano Libertad
Ideology: Pro-LGBT, Pro-Gun, Pro-Recreational drug use, Pro-Militia, Pro-Classic Liberalism, Pro-Minarchism, Pro-Choice, pro-immigration

Background: The CLM is a political group that bases itself on the idea that man is the master of his destiny. They believe in a smaller and more efficient government akin to that of the early United States of America. The Citizens Liberty Movement has deep roots in many civil rights movements in the nations, fighting for the right to self-determination across the board along with a extreme preference to personal privacy.
Goals: Establish a gold standard, lift regulations across the board, more autonomy to regions.
Name: Michael's Phalanx/ La falange de Michael
Ideology: Neo-Fascism/Falangism, Pro-LGBT, Pro-Gun, Pro-Christianity(Cult of Michael sect), Pro-Traditionalism, Pro-life, Pro-Imperialism, Anti-Drug, Pro-Military/Police, anti-Islam, anti-communism

Background: Michael's Phalanx is a Neo-Fascist political group that has it's roots in the turmoil of the depressions of the turn of the century. A form of Christianity in which the archangel Michael is the centerpiece instead of Jesus Christ. This group, while conservative, cares more about brotherhood and nationalism over other sins. As such they have included most of the spectrum in their structure. LGBT are allowed as they are seen as "Still children of god". The group is primarily concerned with morals, decency and ultra nationalism. They are at extreme odds with leftist groups and some have made threats to march on the capital should such groups gain power.
Goals: Establishment of Neo-Fascist government, establishment of a secret/moral police.
Name: Students of the Rose/Estudiantes de la Rosa
Ideology: Democratic Socialism, Pro-LGBT, Pro-Immigration, Anti-Gun, Pro-big government, anti-religion, Pro-social justice, pro-choice

Background: The Students of the Rose are are a relatively newer party with many millennial and academia having sway in it's ranks. The party has seen a surprising surge of support over the years but has had a few scandals involving corruption. They seek to have government involved to a larger degree in the day to day life of citizens with national food banks and homeless shelters.
Goals: Lax border control and increase in multi ethnic immigration, impose stricter gun control, make college free, impose a tax on churches, impose "hate speech laws", ban fascist symbolism
Name: People's Liberation of the Working Class/Liberación popular de la clase trabajadora
Ideology: Maoism, Anti-Gun, Pro-Centralized economy, anti-drug, pro-workers unions, pro-choice, pro-class struggle.

Background: The PLWC is a Maoist organization with roots in stalinism that had developed in the 1950's. The group is the primary communist faction and seeks to overthrow the rich. They see groups like the North Party as corrupt and the Phalanx as enslavers. The group is responsible for a number of victories that improved workers conditions in the nation. Some members of the movement have been known to attack other protesters whom they view as "oppressors". Some elements say they will rise up should the Fascists gain power.
Goals: Establishment of a single-Party Revolutionary Maoist Committee, creation of private and government sectors, seek relations with other leftist nations, establishment of a "people's police" to guard against fascism.
