Name: Floyd Tolson
Age: 29
Gender: M
Race: Human
Appearance (pics if possible):

Young Blood?: Tsk. Boy scouts. (No, and he's too old to join anyway.)
Bio: Floyd Jeremiah Tolson, citizen of the United Kingdom, was born in Birmingham in the year 1989, to a middle class family. With powers manifesting in his body from a very early age, Floyd's early childhood can best be described with thorough fanboying over superheroes. The national hero Captain Steel in the history books, and Gwyneth Griffith on television, and many, many, many other heroes from across the whole planet. Sometimes one or another would even end up appearing in his city, which would be a treat for both him and the local population, and as time went on, his idolization of the profession only grew. Even if he had heard of the Young Blood Massacre back when he was young, he shrugged it off an began to pursue a potential career as a superhero, starting out by scraping up enough money to move to America and join the esteemed Thomsen High in San Diego.

Thomsen High then took off his rose glasses and threw him into the real world - sorry, kid, but with these powers, you're not going to go very far in the business. What, you can turn off your sense of smell to see more clearly? Would that do well against your classmates who can tow trucks and destroy buildings? Despite putting in more and more effort to try to become into a sort of "powerless hero" through training (which left him with a somewhat good knowledge of martial arts), Floyd eventually ended up dropping out after failing to endure the pressure, and moved in to a poor apartment in the city, with his life's dream crushed.

In the next few years, combined with the already intense situation of having to live all by himself for the first time in his life, Floyd nearly grew insane in his growingly desperate attempts to get back into the hero business. He put on a costume and the undercover name "Point-Blank" to fight crime as an unregistered hero, but all he was left with were bruises, unsuccessful attempts at stopping robberies and eventually getting shot by a bullet through the shoulder in a bank heist gone terribly wrong. Although he recovered, Floyd turned to even more insane forces for help. He could have sold his soul just to gain a bit more power...

...ask and ye shall receive. One night, in his apartment, Floyd received a visitor in the form of the fly-shaped demon Beelzebub, who offered him a deal - he will grant his wish of gaining gigantic strength, high enough to compete with the lucky powerful supers (and also build him a sword to go with these new powers, which Floyd still uses to this day), while in exchange, Beelzebub would gain Floyd's soul. Once he dies, he will burn in Hell forever. After a bit of debating with himself, Floyd agreed, and from there on out, a completely different Tolson entered the stage.

However, by then, it had been too late. Although Floyd had surpassed his limits, he had become too disillusioned with the idea of being a superhero to return to the business. And, after all - no matter what he does, he will head straight to Hell anyway, so why even bother with doing good when you can do the most satisfying thing? Floyd became an anarchist, spending his time traveling around America, doing whatever his heart desires - eat, drink, get women, rob someone if he's short on money, fight some other super, whether hero or villain, if he feels like having a fun battle. Floyd has turned far from his initial heroism, but he does not classify himself as a villain, either - after all, in his eyes, "if doing good were fun, of course I'd go do it".
Powers:
  • Agent of Beelzebub: Always make sure to read the terms and conditions of anything you sign. Floyd did not acquire superhuman abilities simply for a one-way trip to Hell in the undetermined future. Unknowingly, Floyd acts as an agent of the demonic entity through which it expresses its will on the planet, causing chaos and sending souls to Hell at an accelerated pace. Of course, that doesn't mean that this pact does not come with benefits for Floyd regardless, such as:
    • Superhuman Condition: Through his demonic pact with Beelzebub, Floyd's physical condition is many times beyond that of a normal human person. His strength, speed, reflexes and endurance are all firmly in superhuman levels. He is able to endure bullet fire, lift up vehicles and go toe to toe with fellow trained superhumans without much of a problem. Floyd's superhuman strength is not automatic, however. Though he is inherently somewhat above peak human, he needs to tap into the demonic energy pumped into him to activate all of the power granted to him by the pact, signified by crimson crackling energy around his body.
    • Self-Sustenance: The demonic energy pumped into Floyd means that he no longer needs to consume food or water to keep on living, although he can still eat for pleasure (and does so lavishly) and can still be killed. In addition, this does not include air, so asphyxiation is still lethal to him.
  • Sensory Manipulation: This is Floyd's superpower, which he held since his earliest days. To put it simply, Floyd is able to partially or completely turn off some of his senses at will in order to strengthen others. So, for example, he could turn off all senses but his eyesight to have the most precise vision possible, or turn off everything but small to be able to feel even the most incremental scents. Before his demonic pact days, Floyd considered it to be a very weak power - there's only so much a person of average strength can do even with enhanced senses, after all - but now with his superhuman condition, the horizons have definitely broadened. In battle, Floyd usually turns off everything but vision, hearing and balance in order to strengthen his reflexes and battlefield awareness even beyond the usual levels.

Limitations:
  • Demonic Pact: Floyd's power comes from selling his soul to Beelzebub - the transfer is held safely in the demon's lair. Should one or both of the parties decide to cancel the pact, Floyd's soul will be free, but his powers will vanish. (I mean, he'll still have his sensual manipulation... but that can't win battles by itself.)
  • Connection to Beelzebub: Floyd's demonic prowess is power transferred to him by Beelzebub - if the demon dies, Floyd's powers will vanish, for obvious reasons. In addition, the power he draws cannot be more powerful than the demon himself, again for obvious reasons.
  • Mortality: Floyd is obviously not immortal - Beelzebub wants his soul within a reasonable timeframe, after all. You can kill him with diseases, poison, overpowering him, so on and so forth...
  • Sensory Blindness: Sensual Manipulation can only increase Floyd's senses so far. The farther you go with turning off "unnecessary" senses, the more vulnerable you become, after all. If Floyd decides to turn off everything but hearing to search for his opponent, you can catch him off-guard - he won't see you. If Floyd turns off everything but vision for higher precision, you can take him down by sneaking up on him - he won't hear you. If he turns off his pain receptors, he is in the dark on just how badly he is injured. So on and so forth...

Weaknesses (Reasons why someone could kick their ass):
  • Anti-Magic: Demonic magic is still magic, and anyone with devices or powers which are focused on nullifying it will have an easy time taking Floyd down.
  • Divine/Light Magic: As power drawn from God, angels or other generally divine sources is superior to power drawn from hellish sources, so are they superior against Floyd'd demonic strength.
  • Sensory Blindness: Already explained how it works a bit above. Basically, if you have a clue how Floyd's superpower works, you can find ways to use it against him.

Likes: Fighting. Lots of fightin'. It's thrilling, it's intense and it gives Floyd the ego boost he sorely needs.
Dislikes: Now that he's become thoroughly jaded after his superhero career turned out poorly, Floyd generally dislikes superheroes and them running around everywhere. He doesn't consider himself to be a villain, though. Two sides of the same coin to him.

Additional Information (Optional; remove if unused)-
Birthday: June 14
Theme song: https://youtu.be/VF0HPpD8Cbk
Favorite food: Fish and Chips
Greatest fear: Fear of his insecurities of his masculinity.

Though we don't guarantee you always having something to respond to if you do, you can apply as a character unaffiliated with the Young Bloods, which includes villains.

Nazis are kind of overdone, though.

If you are unaffiliated with YB, can you still participate in YB-centric story arcs as a civilian bystander or something?

Any ongoing arcs at the moment? Any coming soon (and hopefully with open slots for participating)?

Ongoing is an island training arc for the Young Bloods. There's also a bunch of people running around San Diego doing their own thing.

Up and coming is Warwolf's occupation of San Diego. Since it's a city-wide event, anyone is free to participate.

It means powers that are already in use by characters and can't be taken. Obviously, if you find some creative way to implement them into another, primary power, that's fine.

It's a list of powers that characters have, for reference purposes. Someone that wants to go with an original power might find it useful to check the list before making their character, for instance. Also, it's advised that if you're going to make a Young Blood (I'm led to believe otherwise by your previous post, but better safe than sorry), you should try not to use a power that's on the list already, unless it's pretty basic (like combat training or enhanced condition) or otherwise isn't too redundant (we have a few techies, for example).

Yeah, I saw Peak Human Condition on there twice.

And although I will probably end up creating 1-3 villains...or more...I will probably also have a hero for the Young Bloods to help against inactivity due to non-interaction.

Here's a half-finished app for a character I thought of a while ago. Probably won't finish until later this week.

Name: Eliza Ulrich
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Appearance: Here
Young Blood?: No
Bio:
Powers:
  • [Life Well]: Eliza's body serves as an inexhaustible well of life energy that she can manipulate at will, an ability with several uses.
    • Superhuman Condition: The life force that Eliza produces nourishes her, keeping her body at its absolute peak condition at every moment.
    • Self-Sufficiency: Similar to the above, Eliza's energy sustains her, meaning she does not need to eat, sleep or even breathe to survive.
    • Regeneration: One of her power's most notable effects, this allows Eliza to constantly regenerate from any sort of damage taken. Healing from all but the most grievous wounds is quick, though not instant, and she will even recover from losing body parts or vital organs. This ability is always active by default, though it can be temporarily turned off.
    • Healing: Just as she heals herself with the energy that sustains her, Eliza can also use this energy to help others recover from their own wounds quickly, able to keep them alive even after they take damage that would be fatal under different circumstances. She does not need to be in direct contact with her target to do this, though it does help the process along.
    • Reclamation: The only application of her power that could be considered offensive is Eliza's ability to undo any healing she has done, causing the wounds on her targets to reappear; this is especially devastating if attacking and healing are done alternatively. She can also use this ability on herself to 'de-construct' parts of her own body at will.
    • Life Aura: Though she can directly use her energy to heal others, Eliza also has an aura of life energy around her, which means that simply standing next to her is beneficial. Injuries will begin healing, albeit slowly; illnesses will see their symptoms reduced and may disappear with enough exposure, and the general performance of the human body improves simply through proximity. This extends to animals and plants as well, with her aura improving their growth and development.
    • Evolution: If focused properly, Eliza's life energy can cause animals and plants to begin mutating and developing quite rapidly, obtaining new and often dangerous characteristics; while this is in effect, she also has some degree of control over the organisms that are being influenced.
This ability can be used on herself and other human beings as well, though the effects are temporary and she cannot control other humans.
  • [Uninhibited Strength]: Through arduous training and thanks to mental discipline and resistance to pain, Eliza can exert all of the strength that her body can muster without any sort of limitation, even if doing so would cause her harm.

Limitations:
  • Eliza literally cannot contain the amount of life energy she produces, and must spend it regularly to avoid undesirable effects. If she can't spend it, her life aura, which is her body's natural way of disposing of excess energy, will start growing stronger, wildly affecting nearby organisms and the environment itself: tree roots will begin destroying the land nearby, vermin will grow unnaturally, and nearby humans might enter states of hyperactivity, euphoria, agitation or arousal, and potentially develop an addiction to such states.
  • Though she can greatly empower nearby living organisms, their rapid mutations often prove to be too much, causing said organisms to die once her life energy ceases to sustain them. This does not apply to humans, as their enhancements are temporary.
  • If her energy is already overflowing, then using her reclamation can prove to be both dangerous and potentially ineffective, as the additional life energy can cause her aura to begin wreaking all sorts of havoc and even heal Eliza's target. In a similar vein, stopping her own regeneration or using her reclamation on herself is difficult if she is overflowing with life energy.
  • Her lack of need to eat, sleep and do similar activities related to sustenance does not eliminate her desire to perform them. The case of rest is especially jarring, as she is almost guaranteed to start overflowing if she tries to get a good night's sleep.
  • Though she can easily exert strength that is normally out of reach for any unpowered human being, this is both painful and unlikely to match the output of an actual physically-enhanced superhuman of significant power.

Weaknesses:
  • [Vulnerability]: While practically impossible to kill, Eliza is not invincible: most things that can knock out or kill a normal human being can knock her out, and if not, they will likely still cause a fair amount of pain.
  • [Lacking Mobility]: Having no abilities beyond her life well and her uninhibited strength, Eliza can be trapped by most things that could trap a human being: she can't fly out of a hole or teleport out of a solid metal cage, for example.
  • [Overwhelming Damage]: Though she can regenerate easily and has built up a resistance to pain, Eliza is not immune to it and enough of it can eventually overcome her. In addition, if a massive enough amount of damage is inflicted, her regeneration will begin to slow down,
taking away one of her greatest advantages.

Name: Dietrich Ekerhart Haegler
Age: 128 years
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Appearance: https://static1.squarespace.com/static/551970ebe4b0ad84142f2d25/t/59746414893fc04502e63da5/1500800024212/
Young Blood?: Most definitely not lol
Bio: So, let`s see. Haegler was born as a catholic in 1890 in rural Swabia. He joined the catholic church pretty early and was well respected in his community for his righteous belief into God. Now, everything has a dark side and so had Haegler. It was not the friendly aspect of the church that interested him. The church's greatest crimes and the fanaticism it could instill was what really interested him. The secret behind turning normal men into furious monsters able to committ whatever crime they deemed necessary for the greater good. Not that he was interested in any greater good. Eventually though his theological studies were cut short by the german conscription system.

And honestly, he quite liked the army. He liked the well ordered fashion things went down there. He liked the strict hierarchies which assigned him a place in the massive machine that was the military. A place with well defined authority, freedoms and duties. So he stayed there, advanced to the rank of NCO had his fun bullying the young recruits. And then of course the Great War broke out and like so many he was assigned to the frontline. But he got lucky, by 1915 he was taken off the Western Front before the trench warfare could have taken him as well. He had received a well earned vacation, one that he had really needed. The trench warfare and apocalypse of the western front had crushed many of his more idealistic views. He had seen the human monster in action. But fate would not grant him any rest. Romania declared war on the Central Powers and his vacation was immediately cancelled and he was deployed to Transylvania to assist with putting down the Romanians. From then onwards he would remain on the Eastern Front untill the Capitulation of Russia and would then be deployed on the western front where he actually managed to survive till the end of the war.

Over the course of the war, he had lost much of his youthful enthusiasm, much of his idealism, much of what was once good about him. He had started valuing victory above everything else, the slaughters that constantly occured during the war made him lose all respect for human life and those 4 years of constant war made him yearn for more. Especcially since he didn't manage to re-insert himself into the civilian life following his retirement from the army following the regulations of the Treaty of Versailles. It made him despise the ones he had fought so hard against for so long even more, as they had robbed him of the structure that had defined his life, the military.

But there was hope for him. He joined the Stahlhelm, an organisation of war veterans. Due to their close alignment with the right wing, he quickly got in touch with the NSdAP. And he was just the kind of man they needed for their dirtier business as he didn't care about what was necessary and what had to be sacrificed in order to reach a goal. By 1929 he switched from the Stahlhelm to the SS. Apparently, if you are just ruthless enough, rising through the ranks of the perverted state of Nazi Germany was an easy task to achieve. However, it all started to go south for him really quick when Malthen attacked the KZ and sent a sign across the world, that people with powers existed and that they would stand in the way of mass murders they committed. And that put the crazy regime he fought for before some problems.

As one of Himmler's most trusted advisors he was tasked with finding new ways to improve the troops on the battlefield and to find methods so that they could better engage super powered individuals. The Wewelsburg was to be the Headquarters and connection between all the work that he and others did for the Reich. They dabbled in the occult, they searched the oppressed people for unnatural members of their society, they scoured the woods and mountains for magical beasts, they performed many crazy experiments, all in their vain efforts to try and stem the tide. Dietrich was having a blast. The Great War had already destroyed much of his personality, and now he was able to freely live out his sadism. Still, the fact that the allied forces pressed ever onwards was worrying so he actually cared about completing some experiments.

He personally was working on a super soldier serum, designed to make men invincible. Test subjects however were not often that pleasing. Signs of decay, quick degradation of IQ to the levels of a feral beast etc. accompanied most of his experiments. But in Nazi Germany you never lacked ressources for weird projects or human test subjects for that matter and so he pressed on. By 1944 he believed to have perfected his formula. Test subjects were now able to retain their intelligence and showed very limited reactions to conventional weapons. Of course, not everything had been fully worked out. The test subjects still tended to prefer getting close and personal and very gory in combat, the physical degradation was still present although in a much more limited sense and a large scale damage to the physical body would still kill the testsubjects.

But Haegler would never receive the opportunity to fully perfect his formula. The advancing allied forces forced him to vacate his facility, taking much of his work with him or destroying it so it would not fall into the hands of the Allies. However, on the retreat, the convoy was hit by an allied air raid, completely destroying it and injuring Dietrich in the process. Dietrich, who always had a sample of the serum with him, decided that he could not die yet and decided to try it on himself.

After the destruction of the convoy, Dietrich vanished from the reports of the Third Reich. Many thought him dead, annihilated together with his vital research. But he reappeared in the files of OdeSSA and started to gather what was left of the Reich's most ruthless and useful maniacs. Those who would continue to uphold the legacy of the Reich, those who would continue work towards war and the annihilation of all. As time went by, Dietrich also noticed that the serum had apparently dramatically slowed down his aging process, if not fully stopped it. Still, he wasn't able to replicate it. His scientists had been killed and the data destroyed. Anyway, he's still around, plotting to unleash a world war. A war to last for all eternity.

Powers:
  • (Super-)Longevity: Basically what you can expect from the name. His aging has slowed down tremendously. His life expectancy is at nearly 500 years.
  • Super-Thougness: The serum did make him a lot tougher too. Wounds which would be deadly for a normal human merely slow him down but cannot put him down properly.

Limitations:
  • Despite his 'power' he is and stays a mere man. If he wants to end the universe he needs help. He needs ressources, men, material and knowledge and that in sufficient amounts to accomplish such a goal.

Weaknesses:
  • [Old Guard]: The serum may have stopped his physical body from degrading further, be it by force or naturally, but it still is the body of a man in his fifties, including the limitations from wounds he suffered from previous encounters. I am sure most of the characters in the thread wouldn't have much trouble fighting an a 54 year old man?
  • Endothermic Reaction: The serum flowing through his veins can actually be deactivated. By infusing it with energy, it upsets the chemical bindings which will temporarily make him as vulnerable as a mere man. Since the such an influx of energy would upset the natural state of the chemical bindings in the serum, it can be expected that once the influx of energy stops, the serum would attempt to return to its natural state, turning Dietrich into the old self again within mere hours. Good ways of energizing Dietrich? Electrocuting him should be the fastest and easiest way.

Young Blood?: No
Bio:
Powers:
  • Bloodthirsty Gauntlets: Her ebil gauntlets are, as one could guess, ancient artifacts she managed to acquire accidentally. The wearer of these gauntlets does receive quite a buff to his/her physical resilience and strength. Not to mention that they of course also function as armour and these claws ain't just for show, combined with the buffed up strength they can actually scratch through relatively thick (relative as in around half the length of the claw which would probably amount to 2 cm) steel plates. Also, the gauntlets do have the perk of prolonging the wearers lifespan but more on that later under weaknesses.
  • Metal Tail: Yeah, I suppose this is self explanatory. Another artifact, fused to her spine. A metal tail with a very sharp end made just to poke people to death with it. Since it has fused with her spine, it can be considered a part of her body so it does profit also from the strength and resilience buff from the gauntlets. Another very nice thing about this tail is the fact that it can lengthen and shorten to a certain degree. The minimum length is at 30 cm and the maximum length at 2,5 meters.

Limitations:
  • I am sure with a lot of effort and sheer luck she could eventually kill everyone on the planet. That is if they don't reproduce. However, her reach simply isn't very large and her application of her powers relativel limited to her direct environment and the people around her. And since she still travels at nearly the same speed as any human, she'd take a long time to get around the world and find and kill everyone.

Weaknesses:
  • [The Thirst]: The gauntlets come with their own set of weaknesses, one of them being that she must wear them till death. Which does make camouflaging in a crowd rather difficult (but not impossible) and also is very limiting in her day to day routine (just imagine your day if you were wearing such gauntlets). However, there is a much greater drawback to these gauntlets than I mentioned. They crave blood in order to function properly. And if they do not get the blood of someone else spilled onto them (preferably by being used to kill someone) they will drain the wearer. They need blood on a daily basis.

To clarify, I'm perfectly fine with some fictional white supremacist organization, but I think modern nazis are over played and would rather you just work with a fictional organization instead. Like in particular I think the idea of an original nazi is very over done particularly in super hero stories. I think it's a trope I'd just rather avoid.

You know, I actually asked about that quite a while ago.
And the last answer I got is sort of conflicting with yours.

Is there an actual official stance on this or am I going to get even more conflicting answers?

Speak of the devil and though shalt receive. Simply change faction name and that's about it. Actually, I wasn't even planning on making anything anywhere near white supremacist. Human supremacist at worst. War maniacs and authoritarians at least.

I and the Co-OPs have talked about it and I think we're going to stay away from alternate universes. You think you'd be willing to make them aliens instead?

Well I think with your first app its more than just a name change. Like the whole idea of the char being an original nazi and still being alive and having all those grudges just really comes off as a Red Skull expy. Like obviously nazis exist in this universe, but having chars who were actually nazis and direct ties to them, just feels like a really tired backstory that could use some originality. And if they aren't going to be white supremacists, why tie them to the nazis' at all?

Then I'll scrap her and make an app for an alien character I had in mind. I just hope he isn't redundant or anything.
