Quick note: All 3 instances of Marche Noiran in issue 513 should be Marche Noirian.

I assume you'd want to streamline it. :P

I'm not sure what this effect line is for, but it starts with a space.

923.1- shouldn’t it be East Lebatuckese spies, not East Lebatuck spies?

They're optional. Kind of.

While many grammarians would claim that the apostrophe indicates that the goodness is possessive of the sake and is thus correct, there's also increasing usage of adjectival possessives to make it a fairly common practice to leave the apostrophe off.

See, for example, "two weeks' leave", which many would write as "two weeks leave", saying that the two weeks is adjectival of the leave. The same applies less commonly to "for goodness sake".

If Fowler recognised this usage in 1906 in The King's English, then certainly that's good enough for NS.
It should also be noted that in terms of cross-issue consistency, the phrase is used without apostrophe six times in the game, and never with apostrophe.

However, as lead editor, I'm happy for the team to use whichever approach they prefer. We don't have a single style guide here - it's part of the place's crazy charm.

So in #264, someone decided to shorten
@@NAME@@'s newly-famous raindances to summon storms instead attract tourists from all over @@REGION@@
into
raindances intended to summon storms instead attract tourists
I think you can see the problem here? ;)

A similar update was made to #263, but no mistake was made there. I think I can see how far you are into your issue review :)

Did I miss a serial comma? :)

I kid, I kid. Extraneous space removed, thanks for spotting. Getting rid of @@NAME@@'s is such a pain.

This is from the description of #781: The White Man's Burden. It should say "skin, and hair". The hyphens can be replaced with an em dash —.

The fallout of 821.1 doesn’t make sense. It’s during daylight savings time where it’s darker in the morning, and the option gets rid of DST.

I found a couple things that I mentioned in the writer's block, but I honestly don't know if any of these are problems or not:

2)
I also wrote wrote: Oh yeah, also

appears in #565.3, idk if that has an alt or not yet either.

3)
Trotterdam wrote in the Spoilers thread in regards to #200 wrote:there appears to be no consideration made for "religion is banned" nations (which wasn't relevant until the change, anyway)

Oh hey this also appears in #809:

"There is only one reasonable thing to do," proclaims @@RANDOMNAME@@, head of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Fish. "We must immediately introduce limited fishing quotas, add restrictions on catch size, and punish any violators harshly! There simply aren't enough fish to go around. I'm afraid the fishing industry will just have to take one for the school."

I dunno if there's an alternate for nations who've banned alcohol. I'd also mention tobacco, but looking it over, no issue really bans this - just smoking in general.
As such, I removed my first comment from the above post. :›

Edit: 217.3 also has alcohol mentioned .-.
3. "Naaaah," says @@RANDOMNAME@@, your personal fitness instructor. "The problem is that we are trying to treat all citizens equally. There is no incentive to live a healthy lifestyle. If people had to pay a rate of NHS tax based on such factors as nicotine and alcohol intake, exercise routine and diet then the sensible thing to do would be to take responsibility for one's own health. The more unhealthy you are, the more you must contribute in tax. We'd have national surveys to make sure no one cheats which would be expensive - but fair. Now give me twenty push-ups."

Nations that banned alcohol would probably still have a bureau in charge of enforcing the ban... although their job would probably be easier than that of one that needs to regulate alcohol in a more nuanced way.

Issue #565: "A" is for Academic Doping
The Issue:
The problem of ‘academic doping’ has reared its head after a group of students were caught taking ‘smart’ drugs ahead of high school exam season. An alliance of concerned educators, anti-drug crusaders, and C-grade students have demanded an end to this practice to make sure that Sacara’s youth don’t become a generation of cheaters.
I'm not quite sure if this is an actual mistake, but the word "don't" sounds wrong in this sentence. Maybe doesn't?
