The Republic versus the Empire!

The Empire of Seidang

Seidang, a glorious nation, threaten with destruction from within and from outside. The Republic of Seidang, having stood for 170 years since the overthrow of Emperor Tân Thành. Following the death of Tân Thành, the royal family of the Lý Dynasty had fled into exile from the country. A republic with a democratically elected government was formed. For 170 years saw 14 different presidents serve the republic. While the royal family wandered from country to country, the presidency of Seidang had grown powerful, commanding the executive and judicial branches of the nation, as well as personally commanding the military. Eleven years ago, former President Tiêu Nguyên Lộc had decided that the Lý Dynasty was no longer a threat under the head of the family at the time, Prince Bảo Giang. Prince Bảo Giang had been allowed to return to Seidang, taking residence with his two wives and son Prince Hữru Lương and daughter Princess Mong and his five grandchild in the capital of Buôn Ma Ria, the Holy City of Seidang.

However, just little more than a week ago Prince Bảo Giang died at age 71, leaving his son Prince Hữru Lương as head of the former royal family. The 43 year old Prince Hữru Lương, who has always been an ambitious man, was quickly decided to be a threat to the stability of the republic, for the current President of Seidang, Hoàng Minh Chiến, feared that the pretender to the throne would try to rise up an overthrow the republic and attempt to restore the tyrannical rule of the Emperors of Seidang and sit himself on the long empty Hoa Dao Throne in Buôn Ma Ria, the Holy City of Seidang. President Hoàng ordered the former royal family out of Seidang and into exile. However, as the issue of transport and which nation would host the former royals, a crisis emerged. Prince Hữru Lương proved to be exactly what President Hoàng feared. The pretender fled his home in Buôn Ma Ria and fled the nation, not in defeat, but to raise forces to end the republic and become, for the first time in 170 years, Emperor of Seidang.

Now Prince Hữru Lương resides in Fontainebleau in Derita and searches for allies to help him take the Hoa Dao. In Hà Bai, the military headquarters in the heart of the jungle covered nation just south of Buôn Ma Ria, preparing for war.

Palais du Fontainebleau
Fontainebleau, Derita

Day 1

Image

Prince Régent André sat in the throne room of the Palais du Fontainebleau waiting to meet with Prince Hữru Lương, or Shiang Liang in André's native tongue. The head of the Lý Dynasty had been residing in the massive Palais du Fontainebleau for the last two weeks. The Prince of Seidang had been forced to flee his home due to President Hoàng Minh Chiến fearing that Prince Hữru Lương, reasonably so, would try to declare himself Emperor of Seidang. Prince Régent André completely intended for him to get the exiled prince crowned as Emperor Liang I.

The Prince Régent was a military man, perhaps not the genius that his father, the King-Emperor who was off in the far reaches of the empire leaving his son and heir in charge, but he’d never lost a war. Just last month he’d conquered the small island nation of Asakura. I that nation he had backed Kinjo Natsue to become Ōji and had named his father Emperor of Asakura. It was from Asakura that he planned to use as the spring board for his operations in Seidang.

As he waited for Shiang Liang, he ordered his most trusted advisors and generals into the room. The first was his favorite cousin, the Duke of Angoulême who was even more successful in war than the Prince Régent. The Duke of Angoulême had even gotten himself the Kingdom of Beliany through his military campaigns until he had to abdicate. The Duke of Angoulême himself was the Commander-in-Chief of the Amperiale Army. He was a talk and imposing man, with a full beard and wore a fez cap on his head and a ceremonial sword at his side. The Duke of Angoulême stood behind the throne on his right side. Next to the Duke of Angoulême was a newer man at court, General Jérémy Vallotton, who had destroyed enemy forces at the battles of Kumikani and Asarano. He was a rising star in the army and the Prince Régent’s top pick who to be in charge on the front. There was also the Duke of Angoulême’s uncle, the Duke of Aumale, who ruled the waves as Grand Admiral.

On his left behind the throne was yet another uncle of Angoulême, the Duke of Mousçron. Mousçron was not a military man, but a businessman and ambitious politician who would soon be replacing André’s father’s old favorite, Lord Magnus Variés. Mousçron had been with the Prince Régent calling the shots in the Celestial Empire for the last two years, and had great dreams and plans for the nation. The Seidang war would be just another political victory for Mousçron on his path to the premiership of the Celestial Empire. Next to Mousçron was Vivien Barbet, who had personally brought Shiang Liang to Fontainebleau from Seidang and Count Régis de Roschette, a distant relative of the Prince Régent’s wife. Each of them were impressive men, none of they stood less than 6’2” (Roschette being the shortest and Angoulême being the tallest at 6’7”). Each was a competent and capable man, in their own fields. And most importantly, they were all unwaveringly loyal to the Crown and the Celestial Empire.

Together, they would place Liang I on the Hoa Dao throne, and recreate the Empire of Seidang.

Palais du Fontainebleau
Fontainebleau, Derita

Spring, 328 S.M.
Day 1

Image

Prince Hữru Lương, or Shiang Liang as he had become known in Derita, entered the throne room of Fontainebleau with his head held high. If he was to be honest, the Deritains made him nervous. They were so... tall. At 162 cm tall, Prince Hữru Lương was average height for men from Seidang, but he was dwarfed by the Deritains, who his family had begun to nickname the Cao quý.

But Prince Hữru Lương also wished to model the restored empire after them. The Prince Régent ruled with such regality and majesty. Prince Hữru Lương vowed to bring that to Seidang once he sat on the Hoa Dao Throne as Emperor of Seidang. Then he would take it further. He would rule as a divine sovereign on earth, the way the first emperor, his ancestor had ruled over the nation.

Accompanying Prince Hữru Lương was his translator Thái Hiếu Dụng. The Prince has ground up in exile and therefore made him far better at foreign languages, such as French and English, than his countrymen who remained in Seidang, but he was not fluent. He could keep up a conversation, but some words escaped him. Thái Hiếu Dụng was there to fill in the blanks for him.

“Your Royal Highness.” Hữru Lương said with a stiff bow in respect. “Thank you for meeting with me. Như chúng ta we discuss tình huống phức tạp này, tôi hy vọng sự phục hồi của tôi lên ngai vàng sẽ nhanh chóng.”

Thái translated: “His Highness hopes that his restoration to the Hoa Dao Throne will be swift under your leadership.”

Military Headquarters
Kunera, Lonbonia
Day 1

The room in which military operations would be executed from is usually quiet, but today is no day to be quiet. The Sons of Leon once again find themselves deployed into a humanitarian rescue operation. War is to break out, and war is to cause destruction in Seidang. The excited chatter of generals, colonels, and reconaissance dominates the Blue Room. Stacks of papers and digital data would pour into the room like a flooding river, containing logistic data of the deployed detachment to Seidang.

Suddenly, the loud bark of the Head General sets everyone on their toes, and silence once again fills the room.

"The Emperor is to deliver the opening remarks upon this upcoming conflict. Stand to attention!" shouted the Head General, his raspy voice leaving a cringing effect on those physically closest to him. But soon, the expressions of nervousness, stress, and overwhelmnation had dissipated like rays of sunburst piercing through a cloudy sky. Emperor Trius had entered the room, his eyes closed and his breathing soft and gentle. It had gained the admiration of many of those in his room, all those who had pledged allegiance to him as the True Emperor of Lonbonia. The caring, gentle hand that he possessed to rule, now became an iron fist in the face of adversity. Soon, his eyes opened, revealing those deep, reflective brown eyes. His mouth followed suit.

"Gentlemen. This is humanitarianism. We are face-to-face with horror, with shock, with experiences that people in Seidang will never forget. Disunification had breeded discord in Seidang. Innocent souls will perish,
and flora and fauna will be killed alike. We are not planning with murder. We are planning with humanity. The Sons of Leon, whom had bravely been deployed in the name of their duty, rely on you, gentlemen, to save these people. Your objective is to ensure that not a single soul. Not. A. Single. Soul. Perishes, in your hands. The soldiers we sent, are ones who know their weapon well, but know counsel better. These are men whose hearts go out to nothing more but to the saving of lives of the innocent. Do not let those men engage military forces. But should ANY of the involved parties interfere with our humanitarian objectives..."

Trius sighed softly, looking into the eyes of the formerly stoic generals, who dare not to even look back, as they lower their gaze.

"Then you have my Imperial Will. To locate, cauterize, and stabilize any threats until they are no longer a threat. Initiate contact with all involved international parties, aim to be transparent in your actions, so they know not to get in the way of our objective."

The Emperor nodded his head, and walked out of the Blue Room, as it slowly rises back to life with more concentrated chatter. It would be a matter of time before Lonbonia addressed Royal and Republican Seidang through telegram:

Day 1

Prince Régent André nodded and flicked his wrist. It was s slight movement that no one outside of the Celestial Empire would understand or take note of. His aunt, Saint Alanna has developed these serious was small movements that acted as a secret language for the upper class of Derita. They could have whole conversations in utter silence and secrecy whilst looking perfectly casual.

Not that André was planning anything malicious. He was simply ordering for the servants that lined the throne room, more like furniture than people, to bring him and his guests some tea. Hollande Tea was widely regarded as being the best in the world. Entire nations had become dangerously addicted to the tea even. But tea was pleasant and calming and the Celestial Empire was known for being calming. The Prince Régent waved his hand as a chair was piled out for Shiang Liang. They were both future emperors after all, they could be seen as equal.

“Please, sit. Have some tea.”

The Prince Régent spoke in his native Deritain, a beautiful and sophisticated variant of French.

Only a barbarain would speak anything else.

“Shiang Liang my dear friend and fellow prince, we shall make an emperor. I’ve invited the government of Napoleon II after you called for them to help. They should arrive shortly. But first me must decide out plan of action. Where are the royalists strongest, where shall be land to take over the republic and restore peace and the monarchy. What do you know of the Republic’s army.”

Fontainebleau, Derita

Day 1

Prince Hữru Lương held his cup of tea tentatively in his hands.

“I assure you,” the Prince began and then looked to Thái for assistance. Thái nodded and spoke for the Prince.

Prince Hữru Lương continued in his own native tongue.

Thái nodded and translated. “His Highness says that the people of Seidang want me. They want their emperor back. All that is needed, all it will take is for us to land in Seidang and the people will rise up against the Republic. If His Highness may be so bold, hd then suggest that we strike quickly, land right in the heart of Phan Rong An and have the people rise up and join us. He believes that the people will flip on Hoàng and throw themselves at his feet. He says that the Emperor is holy and they will know that. Hoàng will be in there, it is the gate to Buôn Ma Ria, after all. Paphon might be the largest city, but Phan Rong An sits on the mouth of the Hoa Dao. President Hoàng will protect it himself, and he won’t trust the foreigners. He is a proud and paranoid man.”

“Nếu chúng ta chiếm Phan Rồng An, chúng ta có thể kiểm soát toàn bộ quốc gia chỉ trong vài ngày.”

Thái translated. “His Highness says that If we seize Phan Rong An, we can control the entire nation in mere days.”

Day 1

President Hoàng had no desire to fight a war. Nor did his government. In fact, over half of the National Assembly refused to believe the idea that there would be a war. The Royalists couldn’t possibly think they could actually win against them could they? Did they not realize how little support they had? This sentiment was throughout the republic as well. The Seidanese people saw no true threat ahead of them. Prince Hữru Lương was as reliable and as dangerous them as a raving lunatic in the streets of Paphon. They were annoyed by the idea of foreigners in their home and called for them to be removed.

Nonetheless, the President made plans, just in case. He hope to defeat the Royalists, should they be foolish enough to come in a decisive engagement. Then he would kick out the foreigners. He sent a message to Lobonia, demanding that they move their humanitarian forces to Paphon, were he could keep a better eye on all the foreigners.

To the members of the Nine Nation Alliance. Members are to follow the President of Seidang’s plan.

Polongain Forces will go to the port of Vung Bang on the west coast to defend it. General Huỳnh Trường An will be in command there.

D.E.T forces shall go to Sa Tum. This city sit on a thin strip of land between the sea and the high mountains. It is the gateway between the west coast and the southern coast and Central Valley. General Phan Thành Lợi shall be in command there.

Atkemri forces shall be stationed between Sa Tum and Phan Rong An.
General Kiều Giang Nam shall be in command there.

Seidang and Yoannes shall defend Sudào Bac and Siktaya. Governors Quách Gia Cần of Sudào Bac and Doãn Chí Dũng of Siktaya shall be in charge there.

Mantara and Ain Fakarata will work with Seidanese Troops to defend Paphon. General Vưukiên Cường will be in charge there.

Manaysa and Dutch-Empire forces will be directed to Cà Cái and defend the Eastern Coast. General Đỗ Quốc Ðiền shall be in command there.

He had made sure to keep them all on the coast, as far away from the sacred heartland of the nation and they were all in relatively close in distance, save the Polongains,to the swampy Great Delta has held the majority of the people and was the entrance into the country. This meant he could personally deal with each group quickly and effectively.

Vanessa’s Le Conquérant International Airport, Derita

A plane had just landed at this international airport, having received the invite from the Kingdom of Derita. It was unexpected, although there was a plan for an associate to meet the Prince in Seidang but that was quickly derailed by the escape. Nonetheless, soon a plane departed from the NMK carrying Regent Vince, who wanted to meet the new Prince/Emperor in person now that they were safely out of Seidang, an associate of the organization that would be doing the actual military operations, as well as a high-level advisor from the Ministry of Defense. Accompanying them was a mid-size Secret Service security detail and a French translator to ease any language barrier that was likely to occur.

As the party departed from the plane, they got into two cars - one held the advisor and translator while the associate and Regent travelled in the other. The security detail took up any spare spots and ensured that no-one was unprotected as the cars drove towards the Palais de Fontainebleau.

Bayakina, Seidang
Day 1

The forces remained firm in Bayakina. Every Son of Leon remained vigilant in the face of an impending apocalypse. It would be only a few days before the only sound they'd hear would be their ringing ears as the sounds of gunfire echo throughout the entire nation of Seidang. Reports poured into the stationed forces of the President's demand to move Lonbonian troops to Paphon. It posed a greater risk for the Sons of Leon. They would be placed in the crossfires while war broke out. It came down to the will of the Emperor to either oblige or deny.

"Contact the Blue Room!" ordered a sergeant, as radio lines open between the far, distant soldiers to the country of their origin. The Head General picks up.

"Report your intentions." greeted the voice of the Head General.

"The President of Republican Seidang had ordered the relocation of our forces to Paphon. Are we to move or remain in Bayakina?"

"Why is the President ordering you to move to PAPHON?"

"To keep a closer watch on the foreigners."

The growl of the Head General followed suit, and he spoke in a low, deep voice.

"You will remain in Bayakina. You will continue deploying your base in the region. I will tell the President to not interfere with humanitarian agendas unless it poses a direct RISK to OUR operations in keeping these people safe. We side with NO one but those who are to be collateral."

"...We will follow, over." The soldier cut off communications, and soon, the small detachment of the Air Force would be scanning over Paphon, the region where the President had told the Lonbonians to move to. Low thrust and locked missiles were the objectives, and every bit of situational awareness is the key to successful operations. As the squadron flies over Paphon, Lonbonia continues its work in Bayakina, fortifying it with care, and supplementing the local police force with stabilizing the zone.

Soon, a message from the Blue Room would arrive to Phan Rong An, awaiting the president's eyes.

Image

President Hoàng of Seidang,

We hope this letter reaches you in good health. We will remind you that we are a sovereign nation, and we have the authority to move our troops where we find their safety would not be compromised. We will not move our troops from where they had been stationed in Bayakina, to increase stability across the region and to supplement what seems to be a weak zone in your country. We are continuing with our humanitarian efforts in Seidang as we plan to. Any interference from your side will result in hostilities, and we will result to the active discharge of our weapons against your men.

We will repeat that we are a sovereign entity, and we possess our authority over our troops. Your citizens will continue to be a collateral of the destruction that is to occur between you and the Prince, should you not take haste in seeking a diplomatic solution. We strongly urge you to seek peaceful methods.

Signed,
Head General E.P

Prince Régent André raises an eyebrow. He admired Shiang Liang’s enthusiasm. But he feared that the Prince might be over confident. Had this been two decades ago, André would have charged into Phan Rong An, leading the army himself. But it was not two decades ago. He had no intention of storming beaches of Seidang just yet.

Phan Rong An, Seidang
Day 1

President Hoàng responded to Lobonia’s refusals to obey his demands with explosive fiery. He would not be insulted by Lobonia’s attempts to undermine him. So he decided to bring the hammer down on them. Hard.

He ordered General Huỳnh Trường An to march down from Vung Bang to besiege Bayakina. He would not tolerate such action.

Bayakina, Seidang

2 hours following getting orders from the President of Seidang General Huỳnh Trường An and 50,000 troops had surrounded the city and seized control of the airport. All roads leading out of Bayakina were blockade and guarded, cutting the city off from the ocean five miles away. An active war zone, in order to fight royalist insergents, was declared over the city and foreign planes were warned to stay away from the city for fear that they could be shot down. The official reasoning was that Royalists had been spotted in the city, but the truth was General Huỳnh Trường An was there to starve out the foreigners. At the airport troops began screening and evacuating civilians south to Mau Hài. Supermarkets and community gardens were seized. No one not Seidanese would be getting any new supplies. Lobonia would learn not to disobey

Two cars arrived outside of the palace, having completed the short drive from the airport. The doors opened to reveal the Regent getting out behind the Secret Service operative sitting next to him. As Vince walked up to the steps, he said to the Count "Greetings, thank you for inviting me to your excellent realm. Who do I have the pleasure of meeting for the first time, may I ask?"

Bayakina, Seidang

The tables have turned on the Lonbonians. Instead of cooperation, they faced resistance. Announcements of the arrival of General Huỳnh Trường with his 50,000 troops in Bayakina had left the small detachment utterly outnumbered. Soon, the Lonbonians knew that the true enemy would be the President. Defiant to all logic they believed he was, they entrench themselves in their Lonbonian fortifications held within the city, but refuse to cause any infrastructural damage to the city. Door by door would be shut on the Lonbonians due to their misunderstood allegations of them being Royalist supporters, but they continue to walk along the streets of the city, sporting a white cross on a purple cloth to signify their intentions as humanitarian operatives, not forces of war. Their weapons would lay low, and they would even yell at citizens to enter their buildings. The small detachment made an immediate call for reinforcements, and for a close airforce watch on the troops. The supplies the Sons of Leon had brought would be enough to sustain the city for three months, but nothing more. They took to the abandoned shops in the city as immediate fortifications and supply ration zones for any person of Seidang lacking a necessity, be it, water to food to towels.

Even if their intentions had been originally noble and meant to de-escalate the amounts of casualties in this war, they knew they would not be able to save everyone. Every Son of Leon holding a weapon knew their weapons would discharge, and that they would need to follow their last resort protocol: Kill, or be killed.

Consolation arrived upon the response from home, that a larger detachment will soon arrive. A battleship comparable to that of the US Iowa, the LN-Emperor Trius Battleship, would also be on the shore, ready to intervene by naval bombardment. It would be a bit of time before they would arrive, so the Sons of Leon were ordered to continue assisting the denizens of Bayakina, locking them in their homes and sheltering them in makeshift bunkers. Bayakina would soon be a battle of David and Goliath until reinforcements arrive.
The Empire of Lonbonia wishes to greet you!

Would you like to make an embassy in our nation? Please do so!

Palais du Fontainebleau
Fontainebleau, Derita
Day 1

Count d’Lozé gave a small bow. Deritains absolutely adore ceremony and formalities and decorum. He rose and gave a small smile.

“My name is Ludovic, 11th Count of Lozé, servant of the Crown and the Celestial Empire. You must be Regent Vince. I suggest we move quickly. While we usually take our time in Derita, enjoy our tranquil life and the harmony that exists in the Celestial Empire, the Prince Régent dislikes such practices at times such as this. The Prince Régent has been waiting. He does not like to be kept waiting.”

Vince nodded as he heard the Count's name. He said in response "Very nice to meet you, Count Ludovic. I am indeed Regent Vince. Let us make haste then, does anyone actually like waiting to begin with?" as everyone else took the opportunity to take in their surroundings, which were certainly elegant as would be expected from any palace.

The Count d’Lozé was slightly bemused by Regent Vince’s response. Around them Fontainebleau sprawled our around them like a glided city. The King-Emperor a few decades ago had placed the palace under huge renovations, turning what had been royal country estate into the largest palace in the world, hosting the most beautiful and richest court known to mankind. Sure the Queen of Genes and Empress of the Dutch both tried to out-do the King-Emperor, but both failed. In Gênes, the wealth was tacky and sickeningly over-elaborate, serving only to point out the injustices in the old queen’s country. In Amsterdam, Anna Charlotte couldn’t creat anything as grand as the Palais du Fontainebleau. She was left with pretty, much plain imitations.

The Palais du Fontainebleau was a symbol of Derita, beautiful and sophisticated, elaborate without being over elaborate, protective and inviting, graceful and more than anything else, majestic.

“I suppose the Duke of Normandy enjoys waiting.” The Count d’Lozé said as he lead them through the glittering halls of the palace, wide windows over looking acres of well manicured gardens, passing by the courtiers of Fontainebleau, dressed in the latest fashion, and draped in the precious metals that made the Celestial Empire so wealthy. The Count spoke of the Prince Régent’s eldest son. The father and son, both named André, were almost notoriously different from one another. The Prince Régent was a man of war, power, and strength. The Duke of Normandy was a young man of peace, love and beauty. Where the Prince Régent might be annoyed by being inconvenienced, the Duke of Normandy would welcome it and see it as time to do something else.

How much easier it would be to serve the Duke of Normandy. Count d’Lozé shook his head thinking to himself. No. The Duke of Normandy was an artist and a young man of peace. It might be relaxing, but they’d probably get nothing done. The Prince Régent reigned like a Marshal, which he was. It was strict at times, but effective. It was what they jeeeed at the moment.
The Count d’Lozé pushes these thoughts out of his head. He quickly lead Regent Vince to the throne room. He glanced at the guards and casually flicked his wrist and a second later he looked at Regent Vince.

“No weapons in the throne, unless ceremonial. It would be bad form.”

Vung Bang, Seidang
Day 5

The Imperial Fleet of Polonge of the East, under Admiral Aloysius Heroux, who had lead Polonge to victory in his amphibious lands during the nation's Invasion of Estovakia earlier that year, arrived in the port city of Vung Bang, the closest city to Polonge. The fleet was one of three that the nation had, made up of 38 ships. There were 15 destroyers and 11 cruisers, 1 aircraft-carrier and 11 gunboats and auxiliary ships. This impressive force slid into the harbor of Vung Bang, preparing to meet up with the Seidanese general who they would be working with.

There had been some who had questioned Polonge's position in this war, noting that they were an empire siding with a republic against another empire trying to make the aforementioned republic into an empire. Admiral Heroux told his men to ignore such techincallities. He himself was half-Deritain. The short answer was that Empress Maria Anna, having formed an alliance with Empress Katherine II of Atmora and Empress Anna Charlotte of the Dutch-Empire, stood in opposition of the Celestial Empire of Derita and therefore preferred to support a republic than an emperor backed by the Celestial Empire.

Vince listened to the Count's description of this Duke of Normandy. He wasn't that surprised to hear an actual detailed response to his off-the-cuff rhetorical question about waiting, and the description of him as a someone who was definitely not suited for war and violence, but of the complete opposite. Indeed, if he ever met either of them he would expect a thoughtful, sophisticated young man with a passion for the arts and patience above all arts. The contrast with the current ruler wasn't explicitly stated, but implied and he now knew more of what to expect when entering the throne room to meet everyone for the first time. Unlike many others back home, such as the Emperor, Vince did not have much appreciation for formality, pomp and ceremony - he liked to get things done, one way or another. This meant that while he was focusing on the conversation, he wasn't one to gaze and see how exquisite the palace and it's inhabitants were (aside from maybe liking the architecture a little) and didn't feel the need to say how gorgeous everything or everyone was.

Thinking on it some more, he'd likely be a closer fit with the Prince-Regent than the Duke of Normandy. That'd be for the better, since the former's the more important person right now. Their walk quickly came to an end quickly, and Vince said in response to the question "Well, the Duke of Normandy certainly sounds like an intelligent, thoughtful and above all patient man. Of course I will comply with your request, given that we didn't bring any ceremonial weapons" and gestured to the people behind him to do this before they could enter. He presumed that the throne room itself was secured by someone else, otherwise that'd be a rather stupid decision of both parties...

Count d’Lozé nodded silently and gave a low bow to the Prince Régent. The Prince Régent looked up from Prince Shiang Liang and at the Count and Regent Vince. They were late. He couldn’t do anything to Vince, and it would be impolite to directly point out his tardiness. Deritains has made a name for themselves for being beautiful and well manned and André has no intention of breaking that image. But Count d’Lozé. He would be dealt with. Perhaps he would send off to those islands he had recently conquered. What were they called again? Oh yes, Asakura. His sons and their friends were currently touring the exotic country. Let d’Lozé serve the Duke of Normandy, wait on the children if he was so intent in taking his precious time.

The Prince Régent silently dismissed Count d’Lozé and beackoned Regent Vince forward with a smile. He silently ordered the Count out of the room. The door closed behind him and servants appeared, placing a seat for his fellow Regent.

The Throne room, like the Palais du Fontainebleau was incredibly safe, both in its construction and design, as well as by the Panthéres, the secret assassins and guards that the Prince Régent himself had created. They were in the throne room, hidden in plain sight. They were chosen from members of the Amperiale Police, the secret police force in the Celestial Empire and hidden in other countries. They had been trained from their youth to serve the Crown and the Celestial Empire and to annihilate their enemies. They could easily protect or kill everyone in the throne room if they needed to. The Prince Régent thought about this silently as Regent Vince stepped inside of the throne room.

“Regent Vince, how wonderful of you to join us. The prince and I were discussing plans for the future. I think our first operation should be to rescue Dowager Princess Phương Ngọc from prison.”

Hello,to my concern

I want to meet you to talk about multiple things, like a possible declaration of Seidanese Exclusion Zone (OOC:like the British one during the Falklands war,i don't know if we have the right to do it,so i propose),but also about some tactics in case of royalists invasion, and a possible military cooperation between our two nation,so,are you accepting this meeting in my capital?

Vince smiled at the formal, but nice greeting by Derita's Prince-Regent. He said in response: "Well, it is just as pleasant to finally meet the both of you after a rather long journey over quite the distance. That sounds like a good first step, but I think the military advisor will have better suggestions than I myself. After all, I was never raised or really worked in a military environment" and gestured for his advisor to step forward and introduce his position.

Seeing the gesture, a man stepped out from the group that had walked in previously. He took a bow and said "Your excellency, I am one of the more senior advisors from the Mushroomian Ministry of Defense, normally serving the Minister himself and have a strong military background having worked there for multiple decades. The rescue idea is good, but it would've been easier to carry out before it had escalated to this point. With the military presence, heightened readiness and general state of war they're likely no longer in ordinary police custody, never mind if that they were the location would still be unknown. As such, I recommend that we do some intelligence gathering first, be it physical or electronic. The former requires either sympathetic citizens or agents that either snook in previously or can be snook in now. The latter has no such restrictions, but has problems of it's own. What do you think?"

Vung Bang, Seidang

Lieutenant General Chai Son Shinawatra arrived at the docks in Vung Bang to meet with the Polongains. Shinawatra was from the Great Delta, but instead of the ethnic group of the Giữa who made up the majority of the country, but was part of the Chnchận who more often lived on the islands and coasts of Seidang. Shinawatra was therefore noticeably taller than the majority of his countrymen, standing at 170 cm tall.

As he meet Admiral Heroux as he disembarked from his foreign ships, Shinawatra greeted him with a wai, a slight bow with his palms pressed together, the traditional way of greeting someone on the islands of Seidang.

“Chúc mừng Đô Đốc. Thật vinh dự được gặp bạn. Hải quân Seidang là một con tàu nhỏ nhưng rất mạnh. Nếu những người theo chủ nghĩa thực tế thực sự tấn công, chúng ta sẽ thấy nó bị nghiền nát.” The General said, crossing his hands behind his back.

His translator, a young military officer named Chu Bá Tùng, translated. “The General gives you greetings. He says that it is a honor to meet you. The Navy of Seidang is a small but well spirited one. Should the Royalists ever actually attack, we shall see to it that they are crushed.”

Giacần Palace
Cà Tàu, Sudào Bac, Seidang

Governor Quách Gia Cần was absolutely furious. He, more so than anyone else in xenophobic Seidang, could not stand the intruding foreigners. Governor Quách had spent the last eight years as Governor of Sudào Bac, eight years consolidating his power in the region, eight years spent ruling as he liked. President Hoàng has let Governor Quách reign practically as his own sovereign with semi-autonomy. And Governor Quách has ruled fairly, more or less, and had kept the peace. Was he one to take a bribe or two? Perhaps, but no man was perfect. He had made Sudào Bac one of the richest parts of Seidang, surpassing Phan Rong An and challenging Paphon. He had built his little petty Kingdom a grand palace, a governor’s mansion that dwarfed the old abandoned Imperial City.

But now, now this fear of conflict was bringing in foreigners and Governor Quách feared that perhaps his little kingdom would be destroyed. He had been furious at President Hoàng at allowing such blatant disrespect. He had mobilized the army in Sudào Bac, though his men were more loyal to him and their island than Seidang as a whole. The 50,000 troops he had stationed in Cà Tàu often glared distrustfully at the foreign Yoannes.

Then news reached Governor Quách of the assault of the poor Seidanese girl by an Yoannes soldier. He was furious. He wanted the Yoannes army out of Sudào Bac. They were ruining the peace and harmony he had worked on so hard to place this island under. If the peace broke down, then his control might break down with it! He sent a message to President Hoàng in Phan Rong An and to the foreigners, demanding they leave.

Phan Rong An, Seidang

President Hoàng, not yet aware of Governor Quách’s fury from his obnoxious mansion in Cà Tàu, agreed with the Yoannes Government and at 5:30 pm, he announced an exclusion zone in the area 200 nautical miles from Cà Tàu.
