Name:Hannah "Mack" MacDOugall
Age: 28
Sex: Female
Faction: FEDRA
Rank: Corporal
Desired Roles: Team Lead
Appearance: standing at 5'10 (175cm) and weighing close to 160 lbs (72kg), Hannah has an athletic frame correlated with her military service.
Personal Belongings:
  • M4A1
  • M9A1
  • M40 Gas Mask
  • Fungoid Scanner
  • QRF PPE
  • Map
  • Hatchet
  • 40ft Synthetic Rope
Personality: An owner of a strong moral conviction and a heavily empathetic individual, Hannah has been reported as exhibiting anti-social tendencies in a somewhat contradictory report, both are true to some degree. Hannah's willingness to put her life on the line for strangers for no real benefit to herself, proves she's someone what empathetic to her fellow man. However a distinct lack of social tact and a somewhat repressed social strength simply point to a repressed social circle in her childhood. Her curt addressal, rather abrupt social skills, and somewhat cynical view on life give an outward appearance of misandry, abrasiveness and anti-social personality disorder, however Hannah possesses a deep sense of appreciation and respect for her team mates regardless of their contribution or actions.
Bio: Born in Savannah, Georgia to an Accountant and a Nurse, Hannah was not one left wanting in her early years. She had friends, an education, a family. All cared for her, and all wished her well in life. All in all, a normal 8 year old in a normal world, and then it all went to shit. Her father died getting her and her mother to safety, an event in which the eight year old would have imprinted on her mind, watching as her father was all but torn to shreds by infected individuals.

By her twelfth birthday, she and her mother had found their way to the Atlanta QZ, her mother becoming one of the resident doctors, as Hannah was shuffled into one of the many boarding schools. It was here she learned what she could, becoming somewhat indoctrinated by FEDRA. Eventually, upon 16 years of age, she was conscripted. Becoming one of the few new recruits who had any sense of direction. Over a decently slow career, she eventually suffered from the death of her mother, and despite their relationship, Hannah found herself somewhat uncaring. The time spent in the boarding school all but removing any sense of bond she had with her mother, and by that time her formative years were all but another life.

Over the next dozen years, she would rise through the ranks a bit, eventually being assigned to Julliet Squad, becoming a fireteam leader, and one of the few people in the squad who could honestly say they've been shot at, or shot back. Now she's stuck with a number of people she's not wholly familiar with, and with a gut feeling of bad times to come.
Strengths:
    + Level-Headed

    + Basic First Aid
Weaknesses:
    - Mild Superiority Complex
    - Stubborn
Likes: Swimming, Spicy Food, Open Space.
Dislikes: MREs, Grating Noises, Pickles.
Worst Fears: Becoming Crippled, Getting Lost.

Name: Matthias Singleton
Age: 40
Sex: Male
Faction: FEDRA
Rank: Sergeant
Desired Role: Squad NCO
Appearance: Visual aid, short cut back hair, 6"2'
Personal Belongings:
  • Standard issue kit
  • Map
  • Compass
  • Water canteen
  • M161A4 Rifle
  • M203 under barrel grenade launcher
  • x12 40mm Buckshot shells
  • Combat knife
  • Colt M1911 .45
Personality: Older, bitter, and less than friendly to say the least, Matthias has a pessimistic view on life as a whole. He's less than kind to those who aren't on his side, and barely tolerates some of his subordinates (and superiors). However, he refuses to let his team down, and does everything he can to keep them safe under his leadership.
Bio: Born in small town Macon Georgia, Matthias would be a 'C' student growing up, and wouldn't find himself going to college. Instead, he would end up enlisting in the United States Marine Corps, and graduating boot camp without incident. He would go to the School of Infantry, and by the time he graduated and moved on into the fleet, he'd fallen in love with his soon to be wife, Diana, who was a single mother. Within the year they had moved in together, and while his stepdaughter, Emily, didn't particularly like him, they'd get along sooner or later.

He would eventually propose to Diana, and he was recently promoted, life seemed to be going just fine. However of that all would change in late September, 2013, with the outbreak spiraling out of control. Matthias would be called to duty from his post on the 28th of September. He would never see his fiancé or stepdaughter again. By Halloween he was integrated into the FEDRA military structure after his unit was reduced to 13% efficiency, and he would spend his days keeping the peace in the Atlanta QZ.

He would climb the latter to Sergeant First Class, being a SNCO, but his career would soon halt. A questionable order was given to shoot two presumed fireflies during a period of heightened alert would be given, and the two 'insurgents' would be revealed to be civilians out just after curfew. It was a shitty situation, and it was mostly swept under the rug, but he would be passed over for promotions to come because of it. Another incident that involved the 'interview' of a Firefly prisoner, who ended up dead before they talked, would see him demoted down to near corporal, and sent to patrol duty and nothing more.

Matthias would nearly redeem himself during a patrol that went down outside the wire. His squad would become surrounded by the infected, and when their leader froze, Matthias would spring into action, barking orders and taking control. After a brief firefight they would be extracted, without a man down. His squad leader was canned and he took his place, but another fuckup in the QZ which ended with many disgruntled civilians being beaten by his squad, it would be clear that Matthias didn't belong inside the wire. He would be transferred to Juliet squad because of his in the field experience, and to keep him outside of the wire.
Strengths:
  • Quick runner
  • Good shot
  • Experienced Leader
Weaknesses:
  • Not tactful
  • Walking the line of being canned
  • Bad reputation
Likes:
  • Sunsets
  • Rain
  • Obedience to orders
  • People who take the initiative
Dislikes:
  • Gossip
  • Doctors
  • Swimming
Worst Fears:
  • Drowning
  • Being canned
Known Relationships:
  • McDonald, Diana, Fiancé (Presumed deceased)
  • McDonald, Emily, Stepdaughter (Presumed deceased)
Miscellaneous: N/A
RP Examples: Halo: Penumbra

WIP. Will finish in a bit. Complete.

Name: Fritz Capella
Age: 24
Sex: Male
Faction (FEDRA or Firefly): FEDRA
Rank (if FEDRA): PFC
Desired Roles (only if FEDRA, pick 3) Designated Marksman
Appearance:
Image

Personal Belongings: An ace of spades card tucked in his plate carrier, a pad of paper and some pencils and pens, a patch on his right sleeve depicting a skull wearing a military beret, a multitool, an old Kalash bayonet, a roll of duct tape and some 550 paracord, an OD poncho, and a hand-made helmet net.
Personality: Friendly, sociable, and with a sort of domineering air at first glance, this hides a thoughtful, inquisitive man at heart who enjoys time alone with a book and some tunes. Perhaps, in another time and place, he would've been a good writer.
Bio (three good paragraphs at least):

Fritz is one of those interesting youth who sit on the generational border, being just old enough to sort of remember life in the Old World, but having grown up in the aftermath of the CBI pandemic. Obviously, experiencing the end of human civilization and living in its ruins has a negative effect on people, especially kids, and Fritz was not spared from this. The memories of his early years are a pretty big blur of confusion, fear, and squalor, but he can make out certain details. Like how the world always felt happier, the sun shined brighter, and his parents, always smiling at him.

This all disappeared the night after his fourth birthday, where his parents violently woke him up, threw him into the family car, and took off leaving everything behind. After a couple weeks of trying to survive, with each day more dangerous than the rest, they made their way to the newly formed Pittsburgh QZ with some other survivors. Both of his parents soon found employment under the reign of the new FEDRA military government, but as what, he never knew. At least, despite having lost almost everything in the initial flight, and living under fear of the CBI, he still had his parents.

One day though, his parents left their assigned house and never came back. What happened to them, he never knew either, but his life changed from then on. He was put into a boarding school-slash-orphanage with other kids his age, staying there until. Life was much harsher there, and as he grew older, he became more and more aware of the true ugliness of this new world he lived in, compared to before the pandemic. It disgusted him.

This awareness also gave him an appreciation of FEDRA. To him, FEDRA was the first and last line of defense against CBI, the only thing keeping human civilization from falling completely. Sure, life sucked in the QZ, but it was all because of the pandemic; you just had to put up with it until things on the outside got easier. In his teens, he had heard about the Fireflies, and some of his classmates supported it, but he never really understood them. Democracy sounded...nice, but why would you kill people, and make life worse for everyone else, at this point in time? What kind of group could claim the moral high ground and yet defend these actions?

Come his "graduation", Fritz was for once truly alone. Pittsburgh had fallen, and he had been shipped to Atlanta along with some other survivors. Nobody there was interested in him, and he wasn't really interested in any of the odd jobs available in the QZ. The few belongings he had from before were long gone, he had no family to go back to, and he could no longer go back to the orphanage/school that had raised him. Really, the only thing left of Fritz's identity was his name and body, and a sense of duty. Joining the ranks of the FEDRA military was an obvious choice, for a man with plenty of passion but nowhere else to go. Before he could even receive a civil service notice, he went to the nearest recruiter, and volunteered.

Perhaps, it was this political reliability and lack of connections that made him a great asset in the military. And so, after training as a marksman and rotating around a couple of units, he was sent up the chain of the command to Atlanta, to join a special unit -Juliett Squad.

Strengths:
-Reliable, motivated soldier.
-Decent speaker too.
Weaknesses:
-Headstrong.
-Tends to overthink things.
Likes: Singing and listening to music, reading and writing, witty and amusing sayings, being with his squad, hot chocolate, a successful mission, a restful night of sleep.
Dislikes: Those who continue to cause trouble for their fellow humans even in these times (read: Fireflies, Hunters, etc.), cats, not being able to shower, high humidity with heat, and people with no self-respect.
Worst Fears: That all of their efforts at saving humanity are for nothing, and they're merely slowing its demise rather than preventing it.
Known Relationships (If you’d like to work something out with another player, go ahead):

Brooke Pryzbylewski:

These two soldiers go back a couple years to 2031, while Fritz was still a grunt on QZ patrol duty.

The day of Brooke's fateful run-in with an IED, Fritz's unit was a block away from the patrol route, having set up an OP to observe any Firefly activity. When the bomb went off, they moved in to provide cover for the survivors. Fritz himself took up a position in a building where the wounded were being triaged, watching as Brooke and the few left standing ran back and forth, at risk to their own lives, retrieving the wounded. Awed by her courage and actions, he dubbed her "Clara Barton", a nickname he's used since. The two got to know each other after the retrieval, and their squads worked closely together during the subsequent "liquidation" of Fireflies in response to the bombing. Over the year, the two developed a friendly working relationship, though never really close, due to their opposite personalities and different units. Eventually, Brooke left for Juliett, while Fritz went to a zone recce unit before joining.

Miscellaneous (anything else you’d like to add): Being one of the younger soldiers in the unit, he's relatively new compared to some of the old guard here.
RP Examples: I like how we're all ending up in the same RPs.

WIP

Name: Marcus Ward
Age:25
Sex: Male
Faction: FEDRA
Rank: Private First Class
Role: Radioman
Appearance
Personal Belongings:
Personality:
Bio (three good paragraphs at least): Marcus was just of an age where he could remember when the cordyceps infection spread across the USA; the panic, confusion, uncertainty. The terror. It left deep marks on the young boy, and shaped him in ways that has left him wise beyond his years. At least, that was what his mother used to say. His father had called him "a retiree in a schoolboy body", and always in a tone that made quite clear it was not to be taken as a compliment.

In his flight from quarantine zone to quarantine zone, Marcus found himself an orphan, fighting against all comers just to scrape by. He discovered that he had a knack for cobbling together working electronics from scraps and broken components discarded by others, and parlayed this talent into food, clothing, shelter, and eventually a job with FEDRA repairing their equipment. Upon turning eighteen Marcus was conscripted into FEDRA's military ranks, taking his talents where they were most needed: into the field.

With the continual degradation of the infrastructure built before the cordyceps outbreak, the electronic equipment that FEDRA relies on to maintain contact with their squads, and give them the upper hand when fighting infected, Fireflies, or various criminal elements, is becoming increasingly unreliable. When patrolling beyond the wire, Marcus' job in the squad was two-fold: maintain contact with HQ, and make sure that everyone's lights, gas masks, and fungal scanners were in working order at all times. To that end he carries a variety of small tools and replacement parts, packed away in a kit hanging below the radio equipment slung over his back, to either replace parts wholesale or fabricate a jury-rigged solution until such a time as proper repairs can be affected.

Marcus' particular affinity for the latter and his prior experience patrolling outside of the quarantine zones, made him a prime candidate to be tapped for Juliette squad when it was formed, as even the "best" of FEDRA's equipment has its problems and the missions assigned to Juliette squad had no margin for error.

5'10, 165 LBS

Personal Belongings:
    Match book
    Firefly tags
    Flask
    SIG P226
    M9 Bayonet
    Journal
    No.2 Pencils
    Lucky necklace
    Weapon cleaning kit
    First aid bag
    MSA Gas mask
    Radio
    Flashlight
Personality: A relaxed if a bit apathetic, Tristan means well and cares for his fellow person, but is rather detached at the loss of a human life. Tristan can be quite prickly during conversation but will warm up to a degree after some time, usually after the person proves they won't be dying any time soon. He's pragmatic, and not one to get emotional.
Bio: Born October 4th, 1997, Tristan was born into the upper-middle class of Augusta, Georgia where he grew up with a mostly normal life. His parents were of the medical field, though the legality of their operation was of questionable nature as they ran an underground clinic. His upbringing was filled with exploration and questions as he took an interest in his father's occupation. Wanting to be a more legal version of his father, he was determined to become a doctor from a young age. Though his hopes of getting a certified degree from Emory were dashed away with the approach of the CBI.

Living under quarantine, Tristan continued to learn from his father, working in his newly established clinic in the quarantine zone. While maintaining their up-front business, they continued back-door dealings with scavengers and smugglers. Tristan occasionally found himself sneaking out with smugglers to find certain pieces of specialty equipment for the clinic. Like everyone, life was difficult but they made due. Life went on, people came and went. This life they'd established went on for a good decade and a half before it all came crashing down on them. After a stint of bad Firefly attacks, the Military began harsh crackdowns on pretty much everything. The clinic was raided and shutdown, his father arrested and sent to work in the camps, though his mother got off slightly easier with just reassignment to a more monitored occupation. As for him, he got himself caught in the crossfire of a Firefly-FEDRA firefight.

The battle raged in the street as numerous civilians were caught in the crossfire. Tristan saw people dying in the streets and refused to sit back. He joined the fray to treat innocents caught in the fire but quickly found himself in the hands of the rag-tag group of insurgents who'd kicked off the entire fight. For him it was join or die as the Army would be coming for him, regardless of what he was doing in the street. Tristan had reluctantly agreed to assist the Fireflies in their mission in return for safety and supplies.

For the next six or so years he'd act as a field surgeon for Fireflies operating out of outposts, preforming so-called house calls. He was provided security, supplies, and other accommodations for his efforts. While he wasn't a believer in their cause, he didn't have to be in order to get the job done. He didn't ask questions, and he did his job well.
Strengths:
  • Adept medical knowledge
  • Light footed
  • Adept at melee combat
  • Listening
Weaknesses:
  • Blunt
  • Kleptomania
  • Aimless
  • Untrusting
Likes:
  • Cleanliness
  • Practicality
  • Flexibility/adaptability
  • Cold weather
Dislikes:
  • Messiness
  • Hardasses
  • Dramatics
  • Humidity
Worst Fears: Paralysis, ghosts

Appearance:

Personal Belongings:

- Binocular
- Firefly Pendant
- Radio
- Flashlight
- Bow and Arrow x10
- M9 pistol
- Knife

Personality: Honest, empathic, and friendly, Alicia is the kind of friendly Firefly. She has a nice-type personality, though she is able to maintains a stubborn and desperate when it needed. Also an ideological believer of Firefly's cause. Not really a fanatic one.
Bio (three good paragraphs at least):

Born on 2003, she was raised in the working-class family, her being the youngest in the siblings of five children. She had a normal-ish life, since her parents worked as food-truck owners, of Mexican culinary foods. Life was good, her oldest sibling already worked in the military, while two of her eldest sisters went well in the community college and high school. In her free time when not in elementary, she scrounged up leftover goods in the trashcans, the dumpster, landfill, sort of an artist and collector that turns every day junk items into useful trinkets. Things, however, took a turn for the worse when CBI hit on 2013. Her eldest brother gave them pass to the quarantine zone, where they resided when the CBI hit.

Life was pretty normal despite the setbacks but now everyone in her family were expected to pull their backs on work as well. Alicia turned to scavenging illegally to make her life and her family's life easier. She went on to be pretty good at it, and though the Quarantine Zone where they lived is small and there were only small garrison of Army it was a fine thing. Her brother taught her family everything on the marksmanship and she was rather good at firearms. Things went worse when she was split up from the rest of her family when the Zone was attacked by Infected and a Firefly patrol unit was spotted as well. Three-ways battle was ensued as the result and she was brought down, unconscious. When she woke up, she realized she was rescued by the Firefly under the assumption she was a stranded survivor. Seeing no option, she joined the Firefly out of necessity. Of course, she also began to believed about their cause and turned slightly more ideological as well.

For the rest of her life, she trained and worked as a scavenger and scout for the Firefly. Those training included archery, how to properly hunt and to avoid Infected as well as offers to made her more than regular grunts since she shown great opportunities and potentials to be part of the elite corps, while desperately looking for her family to no avail though considering where she is right now and where they are, it is more of technical difficulties.
Strengths:

- Marksmanship
- Hunting
- Honest

Weaknesses:

- Rather weak at melee combat
- Desperate for her family, she will do anything.
- Stubborn

Likes: Family, Coffee, Reading.

Name: Kyle Mulnik
Age: 20
Sex: Male
Faction: FEDRA
Rank: E-4
Desired Roles Fire Team Leader 2
Appearance:
Image

Personal Belongings:
Nothing outside gear already given
Personality: Kyle has a boyish swagger to him, while not the kind to get to over confident he’s never below a bit of chest beating brovato and laddish banter. However he has a switch and is able to keep that personality in check when in the field. In the field he comes off more serious and collected, he observes his surroundings with a hawkish glare and can be heard making darkly comedic remarks when his nerves get a little to on edge.
Bio: Kyle was born in the Columbus, Georgia the youngest child of Geoffry and Anna May Mulnik. Born during the initial outbreak his family secured a place in the Atlanta Quarantine Zone thanks to his father's position with the army serving as a major WHINSEC instructor and because of his status as a lieutenant colonel. He spent most of his formative years in the relatively safe and easy areas of the AQZ. He was however not sheltered from the realities of the world around him. He would regularly go with his father to the barracks as he taught young soldiers the basics of warfare. He grew up learning about the outbreak, the firefly, and the cordyceps. However these were only tangential understandings, not based on the physical knowledge of experience but on the ethereal knowledge of hearsay.

In his teens his dad put him through a early military training program meant to give participants a head start in military training. It focused on tactics far more than the physical aspect. He learned basic military maneuvers and tactics and practiced them with his group up until it was time to go in for military training. He entered boot camp a fairly well known figure to many of the men leading training as his dad had taught them beforehand. Kyle was able to pass with higher than average scores. He was able to complete his 2 mile run test in 14 minutes a 49 seconds. Did 47 push ups and 60 sit ups culminating in a score of 213 in the baseline physical fitness requirements. He scored above average on his marksmanship qualification hitting 34 of the 40 targets his first time through. He entered the army as an E-2 thanks to his previous time in pre-boot camp training.

His first year in the military was uneventful, he did guard duty in the northern AQZ. He took potshots at a few infected that would wonder near from time to time however he never saw much. The other guys usually handled the grittier stuff. After a promotion to E-3 he was assigned to a new unit that usually did Search and Destroy operations in infected hotspots. His missions also included clearing out the typical firefly safe house from time to time. In one mission his commanding officer was downed by a Firefly sniper just outside the AQZ perimeter. As second in command of the fire team he took up the leadership position and conducted a quick and successful counter-sniper operation. Flushing the sniper from his perch on an old dilapidated building where a series of communications information was being stashed. He was promoted to E-4 afterwards and moved again to Juliett squad where he was placed in as a Team Leader.

Strengths:
•Leadership capabilities
•understanding of military tactics and maneuvers
•physical strength and endurance
•good communication skills

Weaknesses:
•inexperienced
•limited direct combat experience compared to others.

Likes: Instant Coffee, mexican style chicken stew and lemon pepper tuna MRE's, power lifting.
Dislikes: people acting above their station, snow, crossfitters.
Worst Fears: he doesn't really know, he knows that he is fearful, he is afraid of failure, afraid of death, afraid of loss. But a greatest fear is something he’s never contemplated.
Known Relationships:Mom, Dad, two older sisters.
Miscellaneous: Nah
RP Examples: the pub

Name: Brooke Pryzbylewski

Age: 22

Sex: Female

Faction (FEDRA or Firefly): FEDRA

Rank (if FEDRA): E-3

Desired Roles (only if FEDRA, pick 3) Medic, Squad lead, Rifleman.

Appearance:
Brooke Pryzbylewski is a white female of european decent, having neck length blond hair, blue eyes whio stands at 5’11 with a coltish build.

Personal Belongings:

  • Sterling silver mini cross pendant kept around her neck, while not particularly religious, it has serious sentimental value. kept both for "luck" and as a memento.
  • Sixteen homemade roll up cigarettes kept within a small white tin, along with a zippo lighter.
  • Two twenty four hour MREs, kept within her kitbag.
  • Straight edged five inch steel dagger, old and significantly worn with scratches and chips on the blade edges, kept within a small leather sheave tucked into her left boot.
  • Loose hollowpoint 9x19mm cartridge, kept in her pocket.

Personality:
Brooke is tried, tired of fighting and tired of the constant violence that surrounds her. A person who has lost sight in what she was fighting for and who she really is as she finds herself increasingly going against her own broken moral compass. With the sole reason on why she continues being her squad mates. Being largely driven by the sense of camaraderie that she once loved, and even that is beginning to fade with some members of the squad. The seemingly vacant gaze worrying those around her as she's became a quiet shell of the person who once was, with brooke becoming more pessimistic, isolated and on occasions, antagonistic. Her increasing disdain for the pointless violence that is perpetuated in the conflict frustrating her. Leading her to be particularly volatile, rubbing some of the more gun-ho off the wrong way with her irritated quips and comments, making brooke less than popular among the FEDRA loyalists when she can't keep her mouth shut.

One thing that can be said however is her deep level of care for her comrades. Being highly protective and empathetic for whose that she considers her family at arms, whom always put her life on the line for them without question or fear for her own, and die for without question. She cares little for the missions, or even agrees with the image in the greater picture as command puts it, but she still continuously goes beyond the wire every single time to make sure that they all make it back alive.

Bio:

Born in december 15th, 2011 in McCormick county, South Carolina. Brooke, like most in their early twenties, doesn't remember much about pre-outbreak life. She grew up behind the concrete walls of the quarantine zone, that was her home, and knew nothing other than the tight regulations of FEDRA's rules. She was raised mainly by her father, a former surgeon who had fled to quarantine zone during the early outbreak in 2013 with his children in tow. She never knew her mother, nor found out what happened to her, with her simply being presumed dead. Life inside the concrete walls were safer than outside, but wasn't easy by any means and only got harder as time went on. Things seemed to slowly get worse as the virus reeked havoc outside the walls. Food was rationed, and the work orders required for that food became heavier. While Brooke and her siblings were lucky enough to never go hungry thanks to her fathers invaluable skills, it often meant that they had to look after themselves like everyone else. When he was rarely around, he tried to teach them his own skills, hoping to make them valued in a world where a persons worth was judged purely by their skills. It had fairly limited success, being interrupted by his own death when he infected by the Cordyceps virus in 2020, leaving brooke orphaned at age nine.

At eleven, brooke entered military preparatory boarding school and saw her lifestyle change into a more regimented one. Taken from her siblings and dropped into a dorms full of strangers. She was like many children during their first few years in the school, rebellious, and unwilling to adopt the lifestyle, proving to be problematic. That however quickly changed with various punishments, from both staff and her fellow room mates. It eventually led to her doing what everyone else did, tow the party line, with her room mates and class mates becoming her new family. In her education, she was taught to have an undying loyalty to FEDRA, and practical skills that would be needed once they left the school and entered military service, or civilian life. Things such as how to change a field dressing and much later, how to kill. She performed well, particularly within the field of medicine, thanks to the skills she had been taught previously. Upon graduation at sixteen in 2027, she was given the option to join the military, or fend herself in civilian life, with her choosing the former.

She found herself serving as a medic throughout her military service, at first servicing with the civil defense units assigned during the increasingly deteriorating security situation in Atlanta. During this period she found herself on patrol as they generally attempted to maintain the peace and stop public descent. While the atlanta quarantine zone was more peaceful than others, but it still wasn't a cake walk. Civil unrest being more than common due to a number of issues plaguing the zone, mainly the lack of rations. Violence was more than common on both sides, Something which reached it's peak during an IED attack that she and her squad got caught in. with the blast and ensuing chaos that left a number of civilians and soldiers dead, and many more injured that her unit found themselves dealing with. Her and her squads actions saved a number of lives, but that event was only followed by more violence when FEDRA crackdown brought about executions of suspected fireflies and sympathizers, some of which only had the vaguest connections to the event, with paper thin evidence to boot, some of which her unit had to carry out. It left a considerable effect on her own mental state, a mixture of guilt and stress as she only further became disillusioned with FEDRA.

She received her transfer to 1st Light Raider Regiment shortly after that event at age twenty, being placed into Juliet squad following their medic being seriously wounded in a raid. Brooke received further military training before being fully inserted into the squad, working along side Porter and the other members doing operations outside of the wall. Performing reconnaissance and hunting fireflies that operated outside of the zones, a far cry from the patrols within the safety of the walls, but it felt like they were making some sort of a difference at-least. Although two years into it, that view point quickly changed.

Strengths:

+ Skilled Medic: Having six years of experience as a medic, Brooke is a particularly skilled medic who not only knows what they are doing when it comes to patching her comrades up, but can remain relatively calm under stressful situations and keep on going, especially if it's her comrades are in trouble.

+ Good Soldier: Well trained and experienced enough that she can generally be relied on to fight and hold a sector when the chips are down.

Weaknesses:

- Disillusioned: Brooke has become increasingly unsure of FEDRA's goals due to the intense amount of violence that she has experienced throughout her military service. As a result she has began to become fairly untrusting and dubious towards them, seeing their missions and plans as having very little effect in the grand scheme of things. She often tries to keeps these opinions to herself when possible, but due to her own moral code and disdain for unnecessary violence, this can sometimes result in clashes with the more FEDRA loyal members of the squad.

- Acute stress: Brooke has developed problems over the course of her career, which was significantly worsened by the IED attack in 2021, these issues are manifested by a combination of emotional, mental and behavioral reactions. Typical issues include insomnia, depression, inability to focus and compulsive actions but are not limited to these said problems.

Likes:

Dislikes (don’t say “infected.” I know your character doesn't like infected):

Worst Fears: Losing a limb, getting caught in an explosion, getting infected.

Name: Marcus Kennedy
Age: 77
Sex: Male
Faction (FEDRA or Firefly): Firefly
Rank (if FEDRA): N/A
Desired Roles (only if FEDRA, pick 3) N/A
Appearance:
Image

Personal Belongings:
    (All confiscated)
  • MSA Gas Mask
  • Ibuprofen
  • .44 Magnum
  • Bag of .44 rounds
  • Bible
Personality: Old and withered, Marcus has seen enough conflict for one life. He prefers to settle issues without violence, but is always willing to kill infected. Marcus loves his fellow Fireflies like they were his children, and is willing to help them out in their times of need.

Marcus feels personally responaple for the capture of himself and his family.
Bio (three good paragraphs at least): Marcus remembers a time before the infection, a time of easy going. He remembers a time where he could wake up without worrying if there would be a knife to his throat, a time when he could wave to his fellow American without getting shot at.

Marcus was born in South Carolina in 1956, to a well off middle class family. His father was a radio host, and taught Marcus all the ins and outs of radio however radio would not be his calling. He lived a fairly boring childhood, and eventually decided to become a Priest. He would go on to obtain a Bachelor's in Religious Studies. He would become a Priest in the small town of Estell, and would eventually get married to a woman named Catherine Evans. They would have three children, two girls and a boy. Their second girl, Sally would be born with cerebral palsy. While struggling at times due to economic needs, they would continue on as a family, that was until 2013. While their other children had eventually moved out, they still kept care of Sally.

The infection hit Estell quick, and chaos was rampant. While trying to escape the town, Marcus would get into a car crash resulting in the death of his wife with his daughter shortly afterwards succumbing to infection as she was attacked on the front porch before things went south. Marcus was forced to slowly watch his daughter fall to the infection as they continued on foot. Eventually, after two days she would turn into a Runner while Marcus was off hunting for supplies. Marcus did not know what to do with her, and sat for several days with her. While waiting, a group of survivors would stumble on to him. They had to explain what the infection was to him, and what had happened to Sally. Marcus was led away while one of them put her down. Now Marcus was all alone.

For three years, Marcus wandered from group to wanderer. Eventually reaching the Charlotte QZ, Marcus while depressed, was happy to find some civilization and put up with a lot of the abuse that the people took inside the QZ. However, he noticed people would disappear, and decided enough was enough. Having been in contact with Richard Tallow, he would escape along side him and his daughter. While Marcus served in the Firefly militia for a while, his age soon started to catch up with him. Instead of directly serving in combat, Marcus was placed in intelligence and planning. Marcus would become quite the planner after his successful plan that resulted in the destruction of a FEDRA convoy.

Marcus would follow Richard Tallow to Tennessee, acting as his intelligence officer. Marcus would establish a southern outpost in Tennessee that would become great surveillance on the Georgia FEDRA activities. Marcus became one of the four acting leaders at the outpost, along with being their spiritual leader as well. Marcus would consider the Fireflies in the outpost to be his family, and felt responsible for their safety. However, somehow FEDRA slipped through and were able to ambush the outpost. During the scuffle, Marcus would get shot in the leg and thus now has a limp.

Now, Marcus hopes to help his family escape to safety even if it costs him his life.
Strengths: Great intelligence and surveillance knowledge within the Fireflies.
Weaknesses: Has a limp following the raid, his old age has resulted in a weak fatigue. Not the best shot with a gun.
Likes: His Family (the Fireflies), Reading the Bible
Dislikes (don’t say “infected.” I know your character doesn't like infected): His inability to physically help his family.
Worst Fears: The military breaking his mind and extracting what they need from him. The death of his family.
Known Relationships (If you’d like to work something out with another player, go ahead): (If it's okay with Beiarusia): Marcus was on very friendly terms with Richard, and the two were very close for many years. Marcus would watch over Amy from time to time making sure she stayed out of trouble.
Miscellaneous (anything else you’d like to add): High valued target: Has information on the locations of several Firefly outposts and their activities. Is to be kept alive to be interrogated. His knowledge could help tip the tide for FEDRA in Georgia.
RP Examples: Check Sig

Name: Joe Gunderson
Age: 37
Sex: Male
Faction (FEDRA or Firefly): Firefly
Rank (if FEDRA):
Desired Roles (only if FEDRA, pick 3)
Appearance: Hello fren. Otherwise six feet tall and two hundred and twenty pounds.
Personal Belongings:
Combat Knife Engraved with a picture of a knight's helmet on it, with the text "The Bane of Woodbury".
Toolbox containing various screwdrivers and the like.
Four Ration Cards.
Faded Map of Tennessee.
Woodland Camo jeans.
Black and red backpacking pack.
Brown Combat Boots.
Gray Flannel Jacket.
Dark green baseball hat.
M40 Field Protective Mask.
Filled bottle of water.
Mess Kit.
Flint and Steel.
Red Maglight.
Unopened pack of twelve D+ Batteries.
Three cans of spam.

Personality: At least tries to be friendly, when on edge he can forget his manners and such. Otherwise he's typically reserved and prefers to work on his own, however he has little issue with working with others.
Bio (three good paragraphs at least): Born in a town called Pulaski, Tennessee to a gunsmith and a housewife, Gunderson's childhood was unremarkable. He had some friends and decent grades, not much of note happened. His father had him help him out at the business when he was a kid, and he wanted him to take it up when he graduated from High School. Joe was content with following his fathers footsteps, and while his father taught him well, apocalypse hit before he could formerly decide on a career.

Their relatively isolated town was fine enough in the opening stages of collapse, however as the fungus spread a tidal wave of infected and refugees spread from Nashville and Chattanooga, amongst other population centers. Pulaski had banded together the best they could, his fathers gunsmith business open all the while. Stresses from supply limits, banditry, and infected would mean a year in the town collapsed. The family took to roaming around the Tennessee River Valley finding settlements and homes when they could, their gunsmithing skills being quite valuable nowadays. His mother would die after the town they were staying in was sacked by bandits.

His father was heartbroken, and eventually found himself on the losing end of a last stand against two dozen infected shortly later. Joe was now idle in a land where idleness could kill. He ran around a few QZ's over the next few years, repairing guns and assembling pipe rifles for smugglers and the like. Around 15 years into the Apocalypse he found himself with few good jobs besides working for the Fireflies, not as a fighter, but as a man of his trade, a gunsmith. While he didn't care for the politics of it all, the fireflies were least likely to randomly execute him anyways. He found himself roaming with the Fireflies on and off throughout Tennessee for the next five years, and was unfortunate enough to be caught in Stratford during the FEDRA Raid, and while he may say he's unrelated with the fireflies as much as he wants, who's to care.
Strengths: Experienced Gunsmith, can carve and engrave well, willing to compromise in the sake of common goals.
Weaknesses: Can make poor deals, sometimes inconsiderate, can't boil water (bad cook).
Likes: Meat, dogs, Pre-collapse intact Americana (radios, books, just common modern things that aren't broken over the years.)
Dislikes (don’t say “infected.” I know your character doesn't like infected): Fungus, under-cooked food, being idle for too long.
Worst Fears: Having no options besides a single bad one, snakes.
Known Relationships (If you’d like to work something out with another player, go ahead): None.
Miscellaneous (anything else you’d like to add): Nuh uh.
RP Examples: You know me bb.
