Our Story

On Spring Break of 1998, Three Dutch-born Brothers, Bram, Levi, and Lucas De Vries were exhausted after a long semester of Business school at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, and so decided to spend their spring break in England. While in London, they went to an old pub serving Fish and Chips. The dish itself looked appealing in concept, but the fish was dry, and the fries were wet. The three them all agreed: they good do better than the English at their own game, and so the first menu item of Vis En Frites was crafted: The Dutch-style Fish & Chips. From there, the Dutch Bro's dropped out of business school, and began opening up locations throughout Holland. But there was a problem: The Netherlands wasn't behind their idea. The food wasn't fast enough, because the bros. made sure each meal was perfectly cooked, and the market was already flooded with Seafood restaurants. So what did the Bro's do? They moved to AquilaJordyn. AquilaJordynites appreciated the time and preparation that went into each of the the 'Chik Fil'A of Fish' Vis En Frites franchises, and were delighted to have a quality seafood spot. Vis En Frites is proud to call the city of Neos Hellas in AquilaJordyn its home.


Our Family

Here at Vis En Frites, the name is dutch, but the heart is AquilaJordynite. As an AquilaJordynite company, we believe all our workers, regardless of country, deserve a living, fair, and equal wage. We give them all 22 Vacation days a year, and, as mandated by the Imperial government, 1 full year of paid maternity & paternity leave, as well as a additional unpaid 'reserved spot' for either a new dad or mum to be guaranteed a job when they return. We're proud to abide by that rule, because here, we're bros.

Let's be honest, this is the reason you'll consider Vis En Frites. You probably think there is no reason to bother with us if our fish is dry and our chips soggy. Well, don't worry we know how to cook.

Lets be honest about another thing: Our Patrons are lean, clean, fit fighting machines. They don't want trash for food, they want real food. Our fried food is cooked in peanut oil for a tastier, healthier option than other oils, and all our ingredients are fresh & organic, straight from the fields of our suppliers. Before accepting any order delivered, your chef examines the shipment, and will send the delivery back where it came from if it isn't up to par. Not only that, but all we only use ethically sourced dairy & caged free eggs, and sustainably caught seafood. Why go through all of that trouble? Well what's the point to fish if it isn't the best you've had, and whats the point to Vis En Frites if there are no fish, eh?

Although the concept of offering our Patron's sweets seems enticing, as Vis En Frites does plan to offer a variety of pastry's, sweets, and assorted cakes behind a glass counter display case already in place in all of our locations, we are unsure if Bakin Rokins is offering just this, as Vis En Frites would not be interested in the fries, as Vis En Frites makes all of its food fresh, in house. Specifically, we'd like to be able to select which of your proposed foodstuffs we want to bring to our patrons.
2. In regards to the Indian & Arab food, could we assume these are Arab & Indian seafood dishes? Again, Vis En Frites makes its food in house, it does not have interest in prepackaged meals, if they are Arab & Indian fish, or Arab & Indian ingredients, then Vis En Frites would be interested in that case, as this could be a very interesting extension to our menu, especially for our locations with significant middle eastern populations.
