Brian K. Vaughan is pretty good.
I'm not reading anything right now, but of the superheroes I probably like Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and Doctor Strange the most.
I've never read any Transformers things.
This thread will probably not last the week.

For action-y non-DC/Marvel (indie?) stuff, I'd recommend you Y the Last Man and Largo WinchThe Rebel Alliances wrote:Awesome, a place where I can discuss my newest obsession. I have greatly expanded my comics collection in the last couple months.
Most of it is DC material but I also have some IDW, Valiant, Marvel, Udon, Dynamite, BOOM ect.
As for specific series my favorites are the Rebirth Green Lanterns, Superman, Deathstroke and several others ranging from Red Hood and the Outlaws to Teen Titans ect.
Not to mention my Batman/TMNT collection, Street Fighter, Xena Warrior Princess, Go Go Power Rangers, Blood Shot and Civil War II.
I also have Sonic's IDW debut on pre order for April.

For sci-fi, Valérian and Halo Jones are good.
What's this Sonic comic?
Hellblazer is another of my favourites.

E: Poll updated.
I do think I have read a couple of GI Joe comics from IDW, and strangely enough I think I saw Transformers in them. Do GI Joe and Transformers exist in the same world in IDW?

I think so. Currently, for reasons unknown to me, Skywarp is a member of G.I. Joe. I don't know why, because I haven't read that particular comic, but I heard about it.

I used to watch the GI Joe animated series but honestly I have long fell off that wagon. And I was never a Transformers fan, but honestly I am a Crossover fan.
I own every released issue of Batman/TMNT as well as several issues of Street Fighter vs Darkstalkers and I am getting Justice League/Power Rangers as well.

They're doing JL vs. Power Rangers? Apparently, there was almost a Transormers/Justice League crossover that would've had Prowl working with Batman, and Optimus Prime as Green Lantern, which would have been beyond awesomeness.

Oh yeah, its already finished actually. I have it on order but the Barnes and Noble in my mall is selling the full collection for $25. Lord Zedd and Brainiac team up, whats not to love?
Its a gathering of my first super heroes ever(Power Rangers) alongside the leading team of my favorite publisher in comics, Justice League.

The Rangers is arguably what sparked my interest in the super hero genre. And I still follow them, in a way. They have a fairly new comic series called Saban's Go Go Power Rangers published by BOOM comics. Its actually really good for what it is. A good way for an older audience to still follow the team, only negative is there is no Green Ranger, at least not yet.
BOOM has another Power Ranger line but I am not following that one.
As for the Justice League, hell yeah. I have read some DC material pre-N52, but I haven't really got into it until after N52 started and I am loving Rebirth. DC is on point.

I've read a few volumes of N52 JL, but I was never able to find the next volume after 3, I think.

You can probably order them, or find them online to read digitally.
I read new 52 JL all the way to Darkseid War. It was epic.
You think if we made this thread a joint comic/manga thread we would get more traffic?

Darkseid. The JL's eternal enemy. Sounds awesome. I personally don't read much manga and it would turn into another manga thread, in my opinion.

I'd participate, I just don't know anything about Powers Rangers or Transformers, and I haven't read much Justice League. The Rebel Alliances wrote:Pax Nerdvana wrote:Darkseid. The JL's eternal enemy. I read both comics and manga.
But I get it, this would likely be a 90% manga, 10% comics thread. Manga is just far more popular honestly, even in the states. But atm its basically just the Rebel-Pax Discussion thread.
There may not be enough comic reading users on NS to support a discussion thread.

There's nothing wrong with having a conversation in a general discussion thread, if you keep it alive, people interested will find it. A&F is a pretty inactive forum, too.
