It would seem to me that the taxation of a protected right would be binary. If you can, then it applies to all, if you cannot, then it applies to all.

Imagine if they taxed your free speech in general. Like they penalize you for Conservative or liberal speech with a tax. Of course that would be illegal.

Obvious statement is obvious. Although considering how hyper-partisan and politicized we are I wouldn't be surprised if that happened anytime in the next decade or so. By which spectrum does that IDK.

While objectivists would state that any action that happens to be profitable for the entrepreneurs dominating the utopian post-government realm is positive by default and therefore should not be questioned. Just make sure not to call it a tax, because taxes are evil. Call it additional fees for special services.

They already charge special taxes on guns and ammunition. So if they can do that why not free speech?

Because that'd be illegal, and a CLEAR violation of the first amendment.
