How did you get the idea for your flag?

My nation is the USS Monitor, so I used a photo that was taken aboard the ship. I chose this one because it has a nice view of the turret and it shows the regular people, not just the officers. I wanted to show as much as possible of the design of the ship and what it was like on board, and this was the best picture I could find to do all that in just one image.

I'm kind of sad that Wikipedia didn't mention you, though. I know they're strict with information, but at least a mention in Legacy would've been nice.

If you want to put something about me on Wikipedia, it would make more sense to have a section about mods on the NS page.

Short story short, I combined the flag of the German Empire, the variant flag of Austria, and the flag of Prussia.

I was inspired by the flag of South Africa (1928–1994) and the flag of cuba.

I wanted the 5 pointed star to look futuristic. So I went crazy with the inkscape star tool. The star still has the old style 5 pointed star inside of it to symbolise the roots of the nation.

Overall the very simplistic and "sharp"(as in sharp angles) nature of this flag is something I like.

I chose the purple to symbolise space, the white to symbolise the roots of the country (Antarctica), the navy to symbolise the space fleet, and the red to symbolise socialism.

I tried black for space first but it made the flag look very arab. Not something I want.

The name of the flag is "The Flag of Thirds". The star height is 1/3 of the height of the flag. The stripes are 1/3 of the height of the flag. The triangle width is 1/3 of the width of the flag.

Shamelessly stole an alternate US flag design from /r/vexillology, changed the blue to Prussian blue and the red to blood red, removed the starts and presto. It makes sense in that the nation is intended to be cross between the UK and US, with some Nordic influences.

1) Makes rectangle
2) Thinks blue banner would look nice
3) Makes background light blue to avoid being Finland
4) Not sure what to add, sees polygon tool, makes black pentagon first, it looks weird
5) Adds smaller blue pentagon, it now looks cool but still empty
6) Sees shape tool, chooses this snowflake thing, makes it white, gets coat of arms but it looks plain for me
7) Gets an Albanian coat of arms with wheat, takes the wheat and put it around the pentagon

The white fleur-de-lis symbolizes purity, originally used to represent the Virgin Mary. Although in the modern era it is typically seen as a metaphor for the values of the Franco-Américain people.

The white strips represent the snow-covered ground on the North and South side of the Great Lakes, with the blue representing the lakes themselves, of course. The goal was a simplistic, modern, and elegant looking flag.

My flag took minor inspiration from Israel's blue and white themed flag with the blue borders, except mine go all around. Since my nation is a christian-republic, I added some of those elements to the flag. The blue border represents the blue Atlantic ocean that surrounds our archipelago nation, which the blue can also stand for our tight border and immigration policies. The white represents our nation, culture, and way of life, protected by the blue border. The 2 blue crosses represent the christian people of Pavelania, the golden eagle represents the pavelanian government, and the single golden cross represents God/Jesus. Basically, it translates to the government protecting the people, and making the laws and orders (of course democratically), but above all, God rules over the government and the people, and that the government should NOT be worshiped or glorified.

It was originally a Star above a yellow cross, I didn't like it so I centered the star and gave it a white border, STILL didn't like it so I put 4 triangles at the edges. So no, I didn't put a yellow cross on a red cross like a lot of people think.

For the flag of Kr0ssia, well the original flag was black and red, so in the nrdic cross I kept the traditional colours as red especially in Krossic culture represents the blood of sacriice. Since it is a predominantly canidaeic caucasian nation, that explains the cross. The purple is for the royal family whom are absolutely in charge. The dragon head is because the Krossic faith is very centred on dragons. This is the current flag, but is prime for changes in the near future.
