Welcome to the official website for Vha Mehlodhivestoile, one of the largest searches for a WorldVision and World Hit Festival artist and song. On this website, you will be given updated news of the contest, including the reveal of artists, the latest news from Britonisea in terms of artists that will represent us at the WorldVision and World Hit Festival, but also, news during the contest - including the results.

How Does The Contest Work?

BVC made little changes to the voting system for the 2019 edition and how the votes are revealed during each live show. The voting split remains the same as it was for the past three years (25:25:50) with the Britonish Jury having a say making up 25% of the vote, the Televotes will make up 25% of the votes while the international juries will make up the remainder of the votes. Nations across the multiverse have taken a keen interest in participating in Vha Mehlodhivestoile with several of them broadcasting live in their own countries. BVC have stated that a maximum of eight international juries will be allowed to vote during the Semi-Finals of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019 with 2018’s first Semi-Final receiving interest from eight different nations making it the largest Semi-Final in Vha Mehlodhivestoile history. BVC thought that the ranges between the international juries were very small compared to that of the Britonish Juries’ because the Britonish Juries’ votes are distributed in a different way to that of the televotes and the international votes. As changing the Britonish Juries’ votes would be more intricate than changing the International votes (and therefore the Televotes), BVC decided on a new way to collect votes [12, 10, 7, 5, 3, 2, 1, 0] which separates first place and last place more than it did before (three points larger gap) while also making 1st and 2nd place more grouped together along with 3rd and 4th together and 5th and below. Moreover, thanks to the total of those points adding up to 40, the sum of the votes will be even making it easier to convert the Britonish Juries’ votes over.

In the Grand Final, all ten acts must perform their songs live. Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019 televiewers will be able to vote for their favourite act from the start of the show until the lines close minutes after the International Jury votes come through. BVC was fairly happy that 11 international juries participated in Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018 and would like to replicate this (or have more international juries) for the 2019 edition. In Phase 1, International Jurors will order the 10 acts and announce them using the WorldVision Song Contest system [12-10-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1]. This year, there will also be the inclusion of the ABEN Jury, which is a mixture of professionals from Aloquirbe and Britonisea (who didn’t make up the Jury before), Estogium and Nightom. After all the International Juries have voted, in Phase 2, we will then travel around Britonisea to find out the results of the Televote. Britonisea’s televotes will be split based on how many nations have voted - with Britonisea making up around 40% of the total vote [((number of nations voting) - 40%) Rounded to the nearest whole number]. Vha Mehlodhivestoile has predetermined the voting areas.

Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018: SF1 Reveal (3/8)

Postby Britonisea » Sat Feb 10, 2018 7:00 am

Image
Welcome to the first three acts of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018

Each of the acts were given the opportunity to speak about their song in a 30-60 second clip, and below you can read exactly what they said. Please enjoy the first three acts;

Image
Lyricists: William Lancaster, Peter Windsor
Composers: T:Rodden, Alexander Urola, Penelope Kay
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: 4th (Final, 2016)

Hello, my name is Zeke Lemondey, and I will be performing first in the first semi final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018, with the song, "I Feel You." I took part in Vha Mehlodhivestoile in 2016, where I think I did very well, coming fourth and I most certainly hope I can replicate that success in Ghiez and then in Luton, hoping I go directly to the final. My song, "I Feel You" is much more adult than "Believe Me" two years ago, and I think it's a bit more sultry, a bit more naughty. It's a song that you can really get your teeth sunk in to and it's definitely a song that you can dance to - and both slow dance or a dance to get down and dirty with. So, I hope to see you in Ghiez - Zeke Lemondey signing out!

Image
Lyricists: Eleanora Buckingham
Composers: Raya Nicholls, Phoebe McKay, Ryanne Hill
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: N/A

Hello everybody, my name is Eleanora Buckingham and I will be hoping to represent Britonisea at the WorldVision Song Contest or World Hit Festival. I will be performing second in the first semi final with my song "Young Again". I'm not sure you know this, but I am the oldest one in the competition - never ask a lady her age *chuckles* I am 74 years old, and so I think I am a torch-carrier for all the elderly out there because this is the first time that Vha Mehlodhivestoile has had someone as...mature as myself. "Young Again" is self-explanatory, really, it's just about the joy of being young, the prime ages between 17 and 25 really. It's a beautiful song, that's all I can say about it - the instrumentation to it is simply divine, and I am so proud to sing this song to everyone at home. Anyway, I am off for a cup of tea, I'll meet with you again in Ghiez, 20:00, 3rd March on BVC!

Image
Lyricists: Jarvis Susa, Javian Xand, Jaxon David
Composers: Ginita Zentol, Jarvis Susa
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: 8th (Final, 2017)

All: Hi everybody, together we are J3. Jarvis: Doing Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2017 last year was an absolutely amazing experience, and so, to be given the opportunity to come back and do this yet again...brilliant! Javian: Exactly, exactly, but of course, we want to do even better this time than last time, and so this entry we are sending is "Hypnotised" which sticks to our unique identity, but it's still fun, upbeat and hopefully something that the Britonsih public would love! Jaxon: High intensity, Jarvis: Very high intensity, Jaxon: Staging, and dancing - we are really pushing for the wow factor because we believe that it is important to have the full package, and that is what we are hoping to give the audience in Ghiez. I honestly, I think I can speak on behalf of the whole group, cannot wait until 20:00, March the 3rd 2018 on BVC! Javian: Vote for us!

Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018: SF1 Reveal (6/8)

Another three artists for you...

Each of the acts were given the opportunity to speak about their song in a 30-60 second clip, and below you can read exactly what they said. Please enjoy the first three acts;

Image
Lyricists: Layla Cruise, Yorke Quinton, Gail Hutton
Composers: Layla Cruise, Yorke Quinton, Gail Hutton, Abi Deans
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: N/A

Layla: Hello, Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018, I am Layla, Yorke: I am Yorke and... Gail: I am Gail, and we are the Luxury Ladies, ready to win Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018! Layla: So, we are in Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018 with the song, "Me, Myself and I" which is a song about concentrating on yourself, not making a man stand in the way of your decisions - so it's like, you're giving him the final decision...to stay or leave. Yeah, it's real stuff! Yorke: Our song in general is disco-pop, and I think it's the only song - probably - in the Semi Final that is offering disco, and never before has Vha Mehlodhivestoile had disco, so I am so happy to be the debuting act! Gail: Just imagine us in gold dresses, with fast camera cuts and everything, and our song will have you all up on your feet! We have enlisted the help of our friend Abi Deans to help us with the song, and girl, she made it tip top shape for Vha Mehlodhivestoile! Layla: Anyway, we got to go, catch us on BVC 1 20:00 on March 3rd!! Bye-bye!

Image
Lyricists: Sebastian Silver, Hugo Tenner, Sally Cook
Composers: Amanda Yamaha, Nao Nang, Jade Rock
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: N/A

Yo, yo, yo this is Thiago Josef coming to you from Ghiez - hey hey! So, my song is called "Summer Has Arrived Early," because with my song, hunny, you can tell that summer has arrived early. I wrote this song a couple of months back when the weather was getting cold, but all of my friends were like - boy, why you acting like it's summer, and then I said to them 'because it's always summer time with me' and then I was like hold on...hold on...let me make some lyrics out of this one! So, I came up with the song, "Summer Has Arrived Early." My song is...in the nicest way possible, a mess. Like I ain't trying to dis my own song or anything, but like, it is Marmite, but that's fine! I love singing it, and with it, I feel so normal to just get on the stage and make fun of myself by dancing around crazily. I will tell you that I won't be on the stage by myself, and I am wearing my onesie because...why not? Anyway, catch me up on BVC 1, third of march at 20:00, not a minute later.....Thiago out.

Image
Lyricists: Viktor Nelson, John Irvine
Composers: T:Rodden, Noee French, Aaliyah Banques
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: 2nd (Battle Stage, 2017)

So, I am having my second chance at Vha Mehlodhivestoile after coming up against Rigas Jengiz in the Battle Stage. Thanks, Euskirribakondara. *laughs* Also, I was only called in because I had to replace Ficeras because of their song, and yeah, I did want to do Vha Mehlodhivestoile, but I didn't have a lot of time to prepare and so my time was very stressful. But now, I am in it from the start, and I will be performing 6th in the Semi Final - number 1. I did really well with the Britonish public last year, so the song I did, in my mind, had to be good enough for the international jury, and I think "Fall" is a great song for them! I am the youngest female in the competition, everybody else is sooooo mature, which does frighten me a tiny bit, yes. But, I am looking forward to the fight, and I love the fight - it makes me work harder. "Fall" is a ballad, unlike my song last edition, and it reminds me of...Nightom WorldVision 55, Matinee Schylestreake "I Will Not Concede" - a real power ballad - I hope the message gets through. Anyway, I am Kelsey Banques, and I will be performing 6th in Vha Mehlodhivestoile, Semi 1 on BVC 1, 20:00 start, March the 3rd! See you there! *blows kiss*

Two more artists are yet to be revealed...Come back soon to see who completes the First Semi Final.

The final artists from the First Semi Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018, in Ghiez...

Each of the acts were given the opportunity to speak about their song in a 30-60 second clip, and below you can read exactly what they said. Please enjoy the first three acts;

Image
Lyricists: Xavier Zeldon, Hillary Bakers
Composers: William Thomas, Greta Mandottir, Fiona Summerfields
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: 10th (Finals, 2016)

All: We are KNTRY GIRLS and we will be performing 7th in the first semi final! Krista: I am so...excited to come back to Vha Mehlodhivestoile, after taking a break last year. 2016 was so much fun, and a great experience for us, and I want to be given the opportunity to do it all over again. Georgina: Oh my gosh, I totally agree. Getting all the way to the final was great, and I would love to replicate that success. Of course, going to the final and getting better than 10th place. I think that is a possibility with our song "I Will Not Fail" which is a song about keeping on going, not letting anybody stand in your way, you will not fail. Krista: It is, and I think it speaks a lot to people like us, to women. I am so proud of this song, and I am looking forward to performing it, with Georgina, to you. So, please remember to pop in to BVC, 20:00 on the 3rd of May! Georgina: And don't forget to vote for us!

Lyricists: Petre Lemetre
Composers: James Embankment, Susan Berry
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: 2nd (Battle Stage, 2017), 7th (Semi Final, 2016)

Hello everybody, I am Petre Lemetre, and I will be entering Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018 for the third time. I have to say, I have made no mistake joining the family for the third time in a row, and of course, if I don't do well here, I will come back again, and again! Anyway, this time I am sending a song that I wrote myself to a song by James Embankment and Susan Berry called, "No One Saw It" And I am very excited to perform this to everybody in Ghiez on the third of March, 20:00 on BVC. If I had to describe it to you, it would be a strong male ballad that builds up. At the start not much is going on, but it does get really good and dramatic, and I think it will definitely take the audience's attention, which is what I want. I'll be performing last...I'm not sure whether that's good or not...Either way, I'm out...I'll see you all soon!

Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018: SF2 Reveal (3/8)

We now go to Alshkan to see who else is hoping to go to the Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018 Grand Final!

Each of the acts were given the opportunity to speak about their song in a 30-60 second clip, and below you can read exactly what they said. Please enjoy the first three acts of Semi Final 2;

Image
Lyricists: Lenora Delora
Composers: Christophe Bleu, Zara Quebec
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: 8th (Semi Final, 2016)

I - Lenora - am back, Britonisea! So, it has been two years since I graced the stage in Vha Mehlodhivestoile, and for the two years after I have just planned my return to the greatest TV show in Britonisea. Yes, coming last in my Semi Final, the first, was quite painful, but it only drove me more, and I wanted to come back with a stronger song, because hopefully I will represent Britonisea at either WorldVision or World Hit, though, I am not picky. So my song is called, "Talk To Me", and it's quite a cool, sophisticated modern pop song - I think. It's about being with someone, and them not fully opening themselves up to you, and I - well - have been in that experience before. So, I wrote about it haha! Anyway, I have a strong team behind me, and hopefully I can at least get to the Battle Stage; but I am aiming for that final! You can see me performing first, Semi Final 2, 20:00 on BVC 1, 10th of March. Kisses.

Image
Lyricists: Mathias Bexley-Durand, James Smith, Lamar K. Notes
Composers: Mathias Bexley-Durand, Lamar K. Notes, Zubion Jayce
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: N/A
WorldVision Song Contest Record: 9th (Grand Final, WorldVision 61)

Hallo, I am Mathias Bexley-Durand and I will be hoping to represent Britonisea at the World Hit Festival, or the WorldVision Song Contest again. Well, yes, I loved representing the country during the 61st WorldVision Song Contest, it was a big honour to do so - on the 30th anniversary since we joined the contest. But yeah, this time, I would like to go through the selection process route and see how I would match up against everyone. My song, "Hurt You" reminds me a lot of my previous song, but this has been stripped back a lot - giving that Dean Boyst vibe. It's more dramatic than my WorldVision 61 song, and I think it could prove to be a huge hit with the WorldVision and World Hit community. Of course, I am excited to get through this hurdle, but I am so ready for the challenge. Watch me performing my song, "Hurt You" in the 3rd Vha Mehlodhivestoile, 20:00 on BVC 1 on the 10th of March 2018! Don't miss it, please!!

Image
Lyricists: KAYLEY, Mello Cinde
Composers: Sisi Surrey, KAYLEY, Mello Cinde
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: 8th (Semi Final, 2017)

Hello, it's your friend KAYLEY and I am performing third in Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018's Second Semi Final. So, last year I didn't do too well, but I am back with my very upbeat, semi tropical song, "Junteräpten". My song, "Junteräpten" is in Britonish, which I think is a must in Vha Mehlodhivestoile, we need to have songs in Britonish! Nevertheless, it is about having fun a long the Junteräpten strip, with all of the lights from the large screens plastered along the strip. I think that this song will do greatly in Vha Mehlodhivestoile, and I really hope it does do well. I have a great list of people behind my song, including Sisi Surrey, who did well in her Semi Final last year, I've got myself a Mello Cinde, who came 2nd during WorldVision 57, and so I am have success behind me, and I hope that finally it is my time to be successful!

Who else will participate in the 2nd Semi Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile?

Each of the acts were given the opportunity to speak about their song in a 30-60 second clip, and below you can read exactly what they said. Please enjoy the next two acts of Semi Final 2;

Image
Lyricists: Taron Woods
Composers: Taron Woods
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: N/A

I am Taron Woods, and I am in the running to represent Britonisea at the WorldVision or World Hit Festival! You might know me from 2016 The X Factor RU. It was a great experience winning the X Factor, I gained so many fans, and so many people watched my win in Doportedas - over 8 million. Since, the record label that I was with worked with me, but since I parted ways with them at the end of last year, I made this song and submitted it to Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018. My song, "Teiston i monteur" which translates to, "You're a liar" is about...well, people not being as loyal as they perceive to be, backstabbers and all of that - we've all been there. I just want to express that through a song. The song is in Britonish and in English, fusing the two together - the most spoken languages in Britonisea. Right, I am Taron Woods, and you can see me performing 4th in the second Semi Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile, 10th of March on BVC at 20:00 - see you there.

Image
Lyricists: Lucie Lou, Jennifer Crest
Composers: Lucie Lou, Lady Vaille, Dariah Crumpet, Jennifer Crest
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: N/A

Bonjour! I am Lucie Lou and I will be performing 5th in the second Semi Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018! I am quite unknown, but I am in the music industry, and I was singing backing to one of the previous Britonish #1 hits. Anyway, I am very ready to make my mark on the Britonish charts, and I think that Vha Mehlodhvestoile is a very good platform. "Take My Body", you can probably get from the title, is quite...interesting... It's all about lust! My staging for the performance will be very mystical, theatrical, and I think it will go down a storm in Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018! My team behind me and I have prepared for this moment for a long, long time and now that our time is finally coming, we...are just so excited and rearing to get out there! Right, I am going to leave you all to it...BVC 1, 10th of March at 20:00 - don't you dare miss it!

The final three acts of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018: Semi Final 2....

Each of the acts were given the opportunity to speak about their song in a 30-60 second clip, and below you can read exactly what they said. Please enjoy the last three acts of Semi Final 2;

Image
Lyricists: Santiago Samuel, Mateo Alberto, Alejandro Avery, Diego Garcia, George Miguel
Composers: Alejandro Avery, Tiara Wicks, Mike Mann
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: N/A

All: Hello, we are Urbain and we will be performing 6th in the Second Semi Final! Santiago: I am so ready to get on that stage, with these lot, and just go for it and give it our all. Mateo: Our song, "Daydream" is an interesting song, it's a modern pop song, very fun - it has a bit of rapping in there from George at the end, I think it's a likeable song. Diego: We worked in the lyrics together after Alejandro brought us this song that he had been working on with two other wonderful composers, Tiara Wicks - who went on to get 3rd place at the WorldVision Song Contest, and Mike Mann. George: We listened to the track and we were like - let's do this! So, we wrote some light-hearted lyrics to it, and there we have it - "Daydream"! Alejandro: And you will be able to hear this song during the 2nd Semi Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile, which is going to be on the 10th March 2018 - BVC 1 - 20:00! All: Good-bye!

Image
Lyricists: David Kiser, Tallulah Cross, Geraldine Crossways
Composers: Sandra Nicholls, David Kiser, Lamar K. Notes
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: N/A

Hello everybody! My name is David Kiser and I will be participating in Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018 with the song, "The Hour". I absolutely love the song, and I think...everyone will like it a lot. I am the oldest male in the competition, so I do have a bit of responsibility to bring it home for everyone - but I am going to take it within my stride and just go out there. My song is very gospel-like, but it's definitely not gospel haha. Maybe gospel in comparison to other people's songs but I don't know. I do love this song so much, and I think in terms of staging, I will keep it very simple, very sweet so that I keep the essence of the song! Anyway, I will be performing 7th in the Semi Final, and I will be performing on the 10th of March 2018 - on BVC 1 - I really hope to see you in Alshkan!

Image
Lyricists: Dalia Pall, Liam Jishak, Ciara Willis
Composers: T:Rodden, James Embankment, Nelly Negoist, Liam Jishak
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: N/A

I am Liam Jishak, and I will be hoping to represent Britonisea at the World Hit or the WorldVision Song Contest. I have had the most exciting experience preparing for this great competition. I think I have a tune with this song! Working with Dalia Pall and Ciara for the lyrics was amazing - honestly. I am working with Nelly Negoist and James Embankment on the song, two people who are amazing and have submitted Vha Mehlodhivestoile entries before, but also, I am working with T:Rodden who is the star of writing WorldVision and World Hit songs...He worked with Mello Cinde in Machievelihe, and came 2nd, worked with Kenzie Eléen in Ylfa, and came 5th - so he's got some good credentials. But it all comes down to me, and how I perform, and I won't let you down, Britonisea! This song is in French and in English, so that will be a nice change to the contest. Watch me at 20:00, BVC, 10th March!

2/3 of the Semi Final artists have now been revealed, which one is your favourite? Come back on the 24th for the Semi Final 3 reveal!

Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018: Automatic Qualifier

Postby Britonisea » Fri Feb 23, 2018 1:00 pm

Image
Here is your automatic qualifier to the Grand Finals of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018 in Luton...

A rule that was put in was to reward the person/people who came third in the contest by putting them in to the next year's contest but by giving them an automatic qualifier. In this case, Dean Boyst came third and chose to take that opportunity. Each of the acts were given the opportunity to speak about their song in a 30-60 second clip, and below you can read exactly what they said;

Image
Lyricists: Dean Boyst
Composers: Dean Boyst
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: 3rd (Final, 2017)
World Hit Festival Record: 1st (Grand Final, World Hit Festival 37)

Hello, everybody - I am Dean Boyst, and I am backing in Vha Mehlodhivestoile for the second time in a row and I will hopefully be higher up the table than I was last year. My year has been absolutely magnificent, and I have loved every single minute - I tell you. My song, "I'm Hurting Too" did very well with the international vote, and you could definitely tell that during the World Hit Festival 37 too. However, the song that I am sending this time is called "Restore" and it's kinda like the continuation of "I'm Hurting Too" in that...this song is about...not being able to mend a relationship with is beyond repairing, and I think that like "I'm Hurting Too", it will tug a few strings. I am so, so, so excited to release my song and the first time that you will be able to hear my song is on the 17th March 2018 on BVC at 20:00 - I will be singing after the lines open for the other eight acts. See you there, much love!"

Another guest performer for Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018 will be revealed in two hours at 22:00 GMT!

Fort he third and final semi final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018 in Tonesk...let's meet the artists...

Each of the acts were given the opportunity to speak about their song in a 30-60 second clip, and below you can read exactly what they said. Please enjoy the first three acts of Semi Final 3;

Image
Lyricists: Jason Courtney, Jack Oito, Natasha Demi, John Woods, Adam Sebastian
Composers: Jason Courtney, Jack Oito, Natasha Demi, John Woods, Adam Sebastian
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: N/A

Jason: Good Morning Britonisea! Jack: Hello everybody, we are Abandonné and we are hoping to represent Britonisea at the World Hit or WorldVision Song Contest! Natasha: I think that this time around, the song that we have is perfect to send to Vha Mehlodhivestoile, and of course, I think it's compatible for the Britonish public. Jason: We have thought about entering Vha Mehlodhivestoile in the past, but we never really took the opportunity, so to finally do it is...great! Natasha: With the perfect song! John: This song is 100% us, no-one else is working on this song, or has worked on this song so whatever you get on the stage is truly authentic to us. Adam: "History" is basically about...forgetting about it... Jack: It'll make much more sense when we perform the song, I am sure. Jason: And when will we perform it, John? John: We will be performing it on the 17th of March at 20:00, Jason. Natasha, where can people watch us? Natasha: Well, if they're not in Tonesk City Arena, they will have to watch us on BVC! All: See you there!

Image
Lyricists: Luke Vernon Hills
Composers: Gunther Rubak, Heather East
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: N/A

Performing in front of 12 and a half thousand people for the semi final? That's absolutely crazy! I am so, so excited for it! I am Luke Vernon Hills and I will be, hopefully, in the running to represent Britonisea at the WorldVision or World Hit Festival! This is my first time performing on such a large stage such as Vha Mehlodhivestoile and stuff like this can really propel your music career. I am up against some amazing people, and I just can't wait to get stuck in with everything and everyone and go out there and perform like a pro! I am working on the song with two amazing people, Gunther Rubak and Heather East, two people I love so much - they've helped me with the song for a long time and I'm ready to release it in to the world. You can find me on BVC, performing second...20:00 on the 17th of March 2018! I am so excited, and looking at the show, I think you should be too. Don't miss out!

Image
Lyricists: Mya Richardson
Composers: Mya Richardson, Guy Autriche, Helen Riddoff
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: 5th (Final, 2016), 7th (Semi Final, 2017)
WorldVision Song Contest Record: 1st (Grand Final, WorldVision 41), 5th (Grand Final, WorldVision 38)

Hello again! I am Mya Richardson and I will be coming to Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018, coming to Vha Mehlodhivestoile for the third time to battle it out with all of you and decide which one of us is the best singer of all time - I'm only kidding. So, I think last year didn't go too well for me and so I will be trying to at least qualify for the Battle Stages this time around. This time, I will be sending the song, "Play Their Game" which is an upbeat ballad song, and I think you will all like it - it's definitely something that you can dance to. On my composing team is of course, myself, and Helen Riddoff. But let's not forget Guy Autriche! Performing third is pretty interesting since during Semi Final 2 of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2016 I performed 2nd and I qualified - so let's hope that me performing third is a good omen. You can watch me perform my new song, "Play Their Game" on BVC, March the 17th, 2018. Bye!

Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018's 3rd Semi Final in being held in Tonesk, let's meet the artists...

Each of the acts were given the opportunity to speak about their song in a 30-60 second clip, and below you can read exactly what they said. Please enjoy the fourth and fifth acts of Semi Final 3;

Image
Lyricists: Arvin Dalir
Composers: Tykkard Rubak, Arvin Dalir, Nancy Bouqet
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: N/A

Hello everybody! My name is Arvin Dalir, and I will be presenting my song, "Walking" which I will perform during the third semi final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018. I am so excited to get on that big stage and actually learn how to perform in front of such a big crowd such as the ones you'd find at Vha Mehlodhivestoile and also to see whether the things that I've learnt makes me not only a good singer, but a good performance. I will be singing the song, "Walking" which is about returning back to a place in your life that...when you look at it now, you don't recognise it. The "Walking" bit comes the willingness to want to use the memories in your head to recreate how the area you once loved was, and so whilst you walk, you can visualise yourself younger - if that makes sense. My song has been composed by Nancy Bouqet, myself and Tykkard Rubak who was apart of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2017 and got to the final, and came 5th with 78 points. So he has been teaching me his expertise and has been training me on how to perform. Please tune in to BVC and watch Vha Mehlodhivestoile on the 17th March 2018. 20:00!

Image
Lyricists: Amoura Celeste, Zayda Carese, Eda Clinton
Composers: Maxi Surrey, Amoura Celeste, Nikita Willis, Kendra Bell, Phaedra Lenard
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: N/A

Hello, haha! I am Amoura Celeste, and I will be performing 5th in Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018's third semi final - which is obviously the best semi final. I am going to perform the song, "Can You Walk The Walk?" which is a fun and upbeat song about a break-up! So, you know the phrase, "You can talk the talk, but can you walk the walk?" that's where the title of the song actually derives from - believe me! My song is cheeky, danceable....I think that it's a nice change from all the ballads. I also think "Can You Walk The Walk?" is quite anthemic and speaks to many different people. It kind of makes light of the situation at hand, you know? I have a fantastic team behind me and we are chasing after that title. Anyway, right, you can catch me performing on BVC on the 17th March 2017 at 20:00 - see you everybody!

Lyricists: Laila Khan, Amrash
Composers: Amrash, Rigas Jengiz, Ayo
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: N/A

Hello all, I will be coming to Vha Mehlodhivestoile will my partner, Amrash, and we will hopefully give you a song that you will like. My name is Laila Khan and I will be singing the song, "I Survived" which is an amazing song - a lovely power ballad that is about empowerment, and to keep on going even when they going gets tough. There are some rapping bits near the end of the song, and that's where Amrash comes in. To me, Vha Mehlodhivestoile is an amazing opportunity to get out there and really....you know...make my music heard. I hope to participate in the future, regardless of what placing I get at the 2018 edition of Vha Mehlodhivestoile. On my team, I have Rigas Jengiz - who came 2nd in Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2016 and also participated last year too. Anyway, I would absolutely love to do as well as her, and so working with her has been fantastic; and of course Ayo who is a rapper, who is huge in the female rapping industry in Britonisea. Anyway, I've got to go. See you on BVC, on the 17th March 2018 at 20:00 - okay?

Image
Lyricists: Jamie Banks, Reuben Lonsdale, Henrietta Louise
Composers: Mark Walling, Christopher Gyçon, Martyn Luther
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: 6th (Final, Vha Mehlodhivestoile Euvenoures, 2017)

Hello, I am Reuben and I will be hoping to represent Britonisea in the WorldVision Song Contest or World Hit, of course! I am so excited to be apart of the main adult show of the contest. I have had my own experience of Vha Mehlodhivestoile late last year because I was apart of the final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile Euvenoures which was held in Loueske. I absolutely loved being on the stage, and so I decided that I really wanted to get involved with this show. The child show of this contest really got me in contact with some amazing people who are already involved in the WorldVision scene, and so they offered to help me out, and now I am with the song, "Perilous" and I can only hope that I qualify to the final and do well! You can watch me in the Semi Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018 - BVC - 20:00 on the 17th of March! See you there.

Image
Lyricists: Himari Akari, Yui Akari, Sara Redding, Indila England, Mio Amore
Composers: Himari Akari, Yui Akari, Ichika Akari, Indila England
Vha Mehlodhivestoile Record: 8th (Semi Final, 2016)

Himari: Right, we are back in the contest and this time we will not be finishing last in the Semi Final! Sara: I totally agree with you, dear sister. Giselles is back for good and we're absolutely ready to blow away the competition. Himari: You know, I was actually shocked that we didn't do as well as we hoped in 2016, and I think that kind of pushed us to come back, now two years later, to do much better. Himari: And of course, writing the song "The Evil" was a very fun process but also a form of revenge if that makes sense - but not malicious revenge or anything. Anyway, let's just move on... Sara: We were watching Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018, and how it has changed so much to the first edition, and we thought that, while it's good to evolve, we should keep some things the same, so it is great that Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018 is basically that - it's like 2016 in that fact that only two acts will qualify while the next two acts qualify to the Battle stage; taking place in Zelmerlow. Himari: Right, you can catch us on BVC on the 17th March 2018 - at 20:00, don't even be a minute late!

Today: The first show begins!

Postby Britonisea » Sat Mar 03, 2018 8:28 am

Are you ready? Today, 14,000 people will pack in to the Ghiez Maine Arena to witness the first show of the third edition of the successful Britonish television show. It has been more than a year since last year's show and with thousands already packing outside of the arena, it seems like tonight's show is going to be fantastic with real audience participation.

The vote will be open for international juries, and even if you can't vote, you are welcome to click this link here* in order to vote. For each of the Semi Finals, we would like to have at minimum five nations voting (remember, you can vote twice as a user, with two different accounts).

* The link does not go live until around 20:30 GMT.
