I don't see revolution as generally a good source of government. Even if it deposes a bad government, it generally entails one that's worse. If a revolution is to protect the law, however, you don't tend to get massive bloody purges.

The French Revolution commenced with murder and heads on pikes, whereas in America John Adams said one of his proudest accomplishments was the legal defense of the British soldiers of the Boston Massacre. I'm not a huge fan of Evangelical Christianity, but from what I know of him I do think that Billy Graham was a good-hearted man and a sincere Christian. His death was a great loss. I think that in later life many of the statements released in his name probably originated with his son, who I find decidedly less admirable.
