It really depends on the severity. Usually traitors get most of their lives if not their whole lives in prison, but the very worst of them are sent to battle with a Coronosaurus, a theropod dinosaur with massive horns that was recreated by hatterleigh's finest genetic scientists and a lot of luck.

Treason is a felony. If someone is truly a traitor (ie helping an enemy hurt our people), the penalty is 1.5 to 8 years in a rehabilitation center. If such treason results in death, the penalty is increased to 3 to 20 years. Our rehabilitation centers are more humane than prisons, and they truly give offenders the tools they need to live better lives upon release.

The conception of "traitor" isn't really a thing in our nation; we don't have an intelligence service to steal state secrets from and we've not declared any sort of war on a nation since being roped into the Allies in WWII, and have not been the central actor in a war since the Great Hill Wars of 1831 against the United States.

In the hypothetical situation where that does happen, we'd probably just let them go off to the nation that they committed the treason from. In the event where they either come back, or staying in our nation and have been found to be inciting someone to attack us, then that would require arbitration (our version of trials), and ultimately, if found guilty, they would likely be refused re-entry.

This has never happened in our nation's history.

Depends on the severity of the crime. It's usually somewhere between lifelong prison sentence to being tortured to death, and we do have very "creative" methods for that, trust me.
The trials are carried out according to the law, where they have the right to hire a lawyer and so on. But if they are found guilty, well, the fun begins here. Before their main trial, all traitors to homeland must be caged in the back of a armored truck and they'll be on "tour" throughout the country during which all citizens will see him/her and are free to boo, throw tomatoes or spit on him/her. After the 2 week-tour is complete, the actual trial will take place.
The prison sentence isn't about resting on a bed all day of course. They'll be given to a labor camp were they'll work 12 hours a day until they get too old to work.
And for the torture methods, you wouldn't want to know. Really.

Just like any other criminals convicted of capital offenses, they are punished mercilessly here, usually by torturous execution carried out in full view of the public to deter anyone contemplating such a malignant crime.

Execution methods approved for dealing with traitors against the State includes, but not limited to, the following:

1. Hanging, drawing and quartering - the criminal is stripped naked and tied to a hurdle and dragged by motorcycles to the execution site, then hanged until near death, then castrated and emasculated, slowly eviscerated, with all his entrails being burned before him. Then the heart is ripped off and shown to the crowd, while it is still beating. The corpse is then decapitated and quartered.

2. Castration and crucifixion - the criminal is first stripped naked and castrated. He is then bound to a cross using nails and ropes and allowed to slowly die in agony.

3. Strychnine injection - a form of lethal injection where we inject a plant toxin called strychnine, which causes painful and violent muscle contraction,causing his body to contort in bizarre positions. The administration is controlled in such a way the criminal does not die quickly but rather gradually while the crowd is entertained by the suffering of the prisoner.

4. Gamma irradiation - exposure to lethal doses of gamma radiation, which is followed by an agonizing death fom acute radiation poisoning.

5. Snake pit - the naked prisoner is thrown to a snake pit, where a python, rattle snake or black mamba resides. The criminal is either crushed to death by the python or die in severe agony from the venoms of the two latter snakes.

6. Scaphism - the criminal is encased in a box and forced to ingest sweetened water and milk in large quantities until he defecates, flies are then attracted and lay eggs to the body of the wretched traitor. The eggs then hatch into maggots that will slowly devour the criminal. This method of execution can last anywhere from two weeks to a month.

7. Torture by insects - the naked criminal is smeared with pheromones and thrown into a large glass box filled with bullet ants, black widow spiders, flying cockcroaches, and asian giant hornets.

8. Bone-crushing and slow evisceration - limbs are smashed, breaking the bone followed evisceration.

9. Slow dismemberment - limbs are slowly amputated with either a machete or an knife, ending in the beheading of the criminal.

Executioners will try their best to prolong the suffering of these wretched parasites. A typical execution of a traitor usually lasts at least 6 full hours or more, with the felon suffering the full agony of the tortures, an ultimate demonstration of the powers of the Philippinaean State.

The fate of traitors does not end in death. The remains of the executed criminal are either fed to dogs or unceremoniously disposed in the Field of the Cursed Souls to rot in the open. Such is the ignominous end to the parasitic scums who had decided to backstab the glorious nation of Philippinae.

Treason is a crime dealt with under sharia law even if the accused is not Muslim(most crimes are dealt with by judges from the accused's religious court)
