Hm, something on-topic...I'm closest to a social democrat, which isn't really anti-capitalist. Really I see reform within capitalist society as the best path forward, since that capitalist society is not only global, but very resilient. Any revolution that would topple that would cause a lot of destruction and suffering, and given how countries like the USSR and Maoist China turned out, I don't think I could support such a thing in good faith. Not entirely sure I belong here, to be honest! I really love that M-L-Obamaism is a poll option though. Uphold Obamaist thought, comrades.

I consider all the various forms of non-capitalist economies and societies to be positive and their proponents to be comrades, I do realize that each different version has its own pros and cons however.

I think we should start off with a mixed market socialist economy with democratic local planning and centralized indicative planning, and see what happens and then make adjustments as needed then. I think we can pull ideas to tweak the system from mutualism, georgism, participatory economics, etc...

I am not sure if distributism counts as anti-capitalist or not though, because they seek to preserve private property, they just want that private property to be as widely spread among the population as possible and to prevent the excessive accumulation of wealth and ensuring that everyone is cared for. They are a lot like Social Democrats. Regardless, I still consider Social Democrats and Distributists to be allies to the left, even though they are moderate ideologies, and if we allow any private property to exist in a limited form then I think the models proposed by distributism and social democracy are useful.
