Warning Levels
Green - Level 1, equivalent to one warning
Blue - Level 2, equivalent to two warnings
Yellow - Level 3, denoting 1-3 days of suspension time total
Orange - Level 4, denoting 4+ days of suspension time total, and also denoting that the next offence will likely result in a ban
Black - banned from Senate

Further points:
After being suspended once, each subsequent infraction results in more suspensions (not necessarily of more time), not further warnings.
Posting past suspension results in an automatic upgrade to the next level of delinquency
Warning levels can decrease over time:
From Green to None: 2 weeks
From Blue to Green: 3 weeks
From Yellow to Blue: 5 weeks
From Orange to Yellow: 6 weeks
From Black to Orange: Admin discretion after 8 weeks

Harassment/Griefing: Harassing/griefing a nation or region because of their words or actions is forbidden regardless - in telegrams, Regional Messageboard (RMB) posts, and on the forums.
*Accusations of misconduct that may bring real world repercussions outside of NationStates do not belong in public spaces on NationStates and will be punished as harassment. Players may post, in general terms, about factual repercussions taken in response (I.e. removal from a region or regional position), but may not go into details or link to material that does.

Soviet Canuckistan: For one, you have no Mod-recognized authority to ban anyone from this thread. You are not the OP account (NSG Senate Administrators). Thread OPs - and only thread OPs - have the power to ban players from their threads; Moderation does not care if there is (or isn't) some thread- or player-group created protocol for how thread bans occur. If the OP wants them gone, they are gone; if they don't - "player-group protocol" or not - they're not.

If you have any evidence that a player has committed an egregious offense against another player on NationStates, file a Getting Help Request. Do not discuss it on the forums. Do not discuss it on regional message boards. Do not field around accusations via telegrams. Fielding accusations of such serious offenses is harassment - be it one post or ten. Do not do it. If you wish to submit evidence of wrongdoing by a player on NationStates, again: file a GHR. Otherwise? There is no venue that is appropriate on this website to levy such egregious accusations, be they explicit or oblique, against another player.

Beyond this, if NSG Senate Administrators wishes to ban someone from their threads, NSG Senate Administrators can post such. Not an account by a user with access to it. The account "NSG Senate Administrators" explicitly. If you are a player who does not wish to be here and participate with another player for whatever reason, you don't have to participate in this thread at all; either way, this sort of behavior will not continue. If a ban against a player is executed by NSG Senate Administrators, they don't need to provide a reason, and any reason that might be posted most certainly will not include any content in it such as the removed posts, which is harassment.

This thread will be unlocked once the paperwork is done.

I should firstly apologise that since my nomination to the NSGS admin team that I have disappeared out of nowhere, so I thought I should take the time to explain it. As I alluded to in my nomination thread, my brother is very sick, in ICU in fact, and has been since Jan 8. Added onto the fact that I've had to lug my laptop into the hospital waiting room to help run the Winter Olympics over on NS Sports (due to a pre-existing commitment I made in Dec), and helping my sister in law deal with social workers and doctors regarding forms that she needs to fill out for insurance/welfare/cutting utilities has meant that I have had little to no time for administration matters except for basically posting the threads that we're writing on right now. Again, I'm sorry that I made my inactivity unclear.

I feel like I don't have enough time or willpower at the moment to deal with the kerfluffle that has happened in these past few pages, so I recuse myself from decision making about this issue and let the other three or potentially four senate admins to deal with the matter. I trust that they will do a good job, and I support them in their actions, whatever it may be. I have a feeling though, positive times will be ahead for both this roleplay and my personal life, and I 100% fully intend to come back to a more active role and position when my brother's health improves (there are encouraging signs). Thank you.

I think we need to start making confidence votes for admins. The appointment until I resign started has not been working well. At a minimum, I say at the beginning of an iteration each admin gets voted on and there after, one every month on a rotating basis.

Alright, there are several things that we are discussing on what has transpired over the last several days and what has been proposed. We understand there is distrust and anger towards the admin, and we hope to alleviate that when we post addressing these underlining issues. We'll get back to you as soon as we have reached our decision.

Edit: I will mention that Merizoc posted the warnings. It was only discussed by me and Merizoc, with MV contributing after the warnings were posted. I was the one that allowed the go ahead for the warnings, a move I realize was a mistake, a fault I will take the blame for. In this regard, we'll look into overturning these warnings given it fails to surpass 50-50.
