How did you get the idea for your flag?

No actual flag would fit with a nation as chaotic as mine, so I searched up an epic dragon picture on google images for the fun of it.

The inspiration came from the Spagonia Flag from Sonic Unleashed, ironic am I right? But of course, there are some differences, such as color scheming and otherly designs.

I threw it together in FlagMaker 2 in about ten minutes, and it looked vaguely appealing and suitable for an Austria-Hungary-esque nation, so I came up with a meaning behind it (the central escutcheon representing Imperial authority, superimposed over the arms of the Imperial City) and a couple of variants like a naval ensign.

The sun on a green field represents a peaceful island nation. The green field also forms a tricolour with the white and red stripes, reflecting the nation's Italian origin.

Truth be told, it's actually just the real life city flag of Indianapolis. I wanted something with a vague resemblance to both the North Korean and Texan flags. The Texan look because of the geographical region, and the North Korean look because of the authoritarian government and isolationism.

Our flag is based directly off of the banner featured in the vexilloid which represented the Aztec Empire.

I thought the colors looked nice and European. My original flags had people thinking they were African or Caribbean.

I wanted to have a special and simple flag at the same time. So I did my research and I found out that purple and orange are the least popular colours on flags. Then I put them in a simple tricolor flag.

I love how you guys posted right after each other and your flags are almost exactly the same but 90 degrees rotated.

As for me, I was digging around in my old flag archives and found Arizona's flag. I thought it would be a good flag for this nation if tweaked, so I made it more Antarctica-themed and symmetrical. I think it works well.

My current flag is based on my older flag (below) but I wasn't really happy with how it turned out and wanted to clean it up some; cut the colors down, make it simpler, etc.



That flag is based on the green anarchism flag (because our nation is supposed to be just a collection of communities that was governed by anarchist principles, though it probably doesn't qualify anymore as anarchist) and also a reversed flag of American Samoa (I just liked the design tbh).

And if you see it up close I also change the blue tongue and claw into red, cause it looks like it has been poisoned.

I got my idea from Mount and Blade: Warband. (the part where I choose a flag for my group.) I have always liked the colors green and yellow put side by side, with a red eagle in the middle. Here is where I got my idea -

Based on Valentine's Day, of course!

For the color scheme... there was the green-pink variant, and this recent variant (blue-pink).

- The green-pink idea came from Daytona USA Arcade game, whereby I actually like the color scheme of this #10 racecar.

- For the blue-pink one, I once had a dream about this girl, haha. Probably my friend, I had a lunch with her in some garden for couples in Yangon, Myanmar... she was wearing a blue dress, pink belt, and her hair is also hot pink. She held much more significance, because she might be the childhood friend that I have lost to time (as in, I forgot about her).

Sirius is a binary star system consisting of Sirius A, an A0mA1v main sequence variable star, and Sirius B, a DA2 White Dwarf star. It makes sense that a starfaring nation originating from this system would use a depiction of this star system as its flag.

The blue background is mainly a stylistic choice. I felt that black was too menacing and would be more suited to a tyranical regime, while a predominantly red flag would be more suited to a communist nation. As the Greater Siriusian Domain is a Confederated Democracy with a mix of socialist and capitalist economics, progressive social policies and a generally hands-off government system, blue would work best.

My nation is the USS Monitor, so I used a photo that was taken aboard the ship. I chose this one because it has a nice view of the turret and it shows the regular people, not just the officers. I wanted to show as much as possible of the design of the ship and what it was like on board, and this was the best picture I could find to do all that in just one image.

I'm kind of sad that Wikipedia didn't mention you, though. I know they're strict with information, but at least a mention in Legacy would've been nice.

this probably isn't a normal flag design, but I am a nation of dragons, so I can do whatever I want. I made a google drawing, made a purplish background, and then posted a dragon image on there. The image was from a wiki about the book series that I based my nation on. Here is the link:
