Speaking of, do you have a hero in mind for who saved Marionette in her application? I talked with Tomia and Zark about a major NPC hero I'll be developing and he might fit that bill. He's somewhat of a Superman insert (cept not ridiculously overpowered) named Solar, and he tends to operate in the Southwest US where sunshine is plentiful, going to Mexico wouldn't be out of possibility for him. It would poison the relationship between Marionette and Gaul, however, as Solar and Gaul will have an epic bout with fists and philosophy soonish.

I didn't have any specific hero in mind, and was planning to leave it open for a decision to see how the plot developed first. I was beginning to think that having it be QuickShot could be interesting - given Marionette's interactions so far with Red. But I haven't spoken to Finnish about it yet and Solar sounds like he'd also be a really good fit.

Carter Graystone

Carter was fascinated by this new kid. He apparently could speak to and see through the eyes of snakes. A couple years ago, he may have found the kid freaky, but now, he was just used to it. Then, Carter had a bit of an idea. He stayed silent as Roy and Frost Bite discussed the plan back and forth, and it was Operation: Murder the Chemical Terrorist Bot underway.

Cass suddenly rushed in out of nowhere, and proceeded to get the living...inanimate wires knocked out of her. Carter wasn't sure what data Cass was talking about, but he was pretty sure that the odds were not in their favor. He wasn't sure whether to laugh or be concerned.

Turns out, she didn't need his concern.

Suddenly, she was as tall as a small house and covered in battle armor, and Dante got a little taste of what some people call "a rapidly turning table". And that's when all hell broke loose. Roy flew off a Frost Bite© ramp, and landed a solid shadow blow on the side of Dante's head, and some other guy named Garrett managed to distract Dante while Amir began to set up his wire traps. It was time to put the plan into motion.

"Andrew!" he called over the quickly escalating amounts of noise. "Here's what I want you to do. If you can talk to snakes, then get them out of the reptile house. Break them out, lead them out, anything. I want you to swarm Dante with snakes, cover her so she can't see. I'll handle the rest."

He then set off at full roller-blading sprint at the ice ramp. With a blast of air so ferocious the ice cracked slightly, Carter flew up the ramp with a powerful leap at the end, managing to get lots of air and height, perfect for his upcoming plan. He flew in a beautiful arc, before forcefully pushing himself down to prevent flying any further, and landing a painful kick straight into Dante's noggin, smacking her head once again into the ground, before bouncing back some distance away. Problem: He used his bad ankle to kick, and when he bounced off, he landed a little off balance. Searing pains shot up into his ankle, only worsening when he bounced backwards. His foot slipped and he landed on the ground, more scraped skin than before he launched his aerial assault.

He managed to get up on one knee, gritting his teeth. Amir had Dante tangled up in wires by now, and Andrew was presumably busy with the snakes, unless he hid again. Carter was feeling a bit fatigued, but managed to create a large wave of air pushing downwards on Dante, towards the ground. It flattened her down, and it would make it harder for her to get up or break free with all the air pushing down. He wasn't sure how long he could keep it up, but he hoped it would be long enough. Fingers crossed.

Bio(Please treat this as a replacement for a writing sample. No more than a few paragraphs is necessary but it should be well written):
Born as the eldest sister of two siblings and the eldest daughter of a once famous boxer. You would think that Alexis would have the world on a plate before her. Well, she did at first. Up until the age of five or so she had the typical loving family between herself, her three year old brother and her parents. But slowly, everything changed. Her father while always was never keen to have the daughter be the eldest, never showed any resentment of it until his career was ended after losing his championship title. Which began a long spiral for him down from the top and ended in the gutters of local bars. It wasn't until well after that it was discovered that his opponent had been a low level superhuman but by then the damage to his reputation was finished. Alexis' brother, now about nine himself and was frankly, not fit for athletics became the target for their fathers abuse. He pushed him to be a boxer and punished him severely when he inevitably failed.

Their mother, unable to cope with the fall of her husband and unwilling to stand up to him, killed herself with a drug overdose by the time Alexis was thirteen. This left Alexis the sole defender of her brother, until one day when she was sixteen years old she finally challenged her old man. Alexis had been training secretly by herself because her father refused to teach her and by this time the semblance of champion was long gone from him. In her eyes he was nothing more than a broken down drunk. She was ready for him.

She wasn't.

Her father beat her. However, he was enraged by her defiance of him and mixed with his own insecurities and intoxication. He continued to beat her. All while in front of her brother, Daniel Cain. For years the boy had hid behind her, and now it was she who needed him. Enraged, he reached out with his eyes closed and screamed. Only to slowly open his eyes...and see that he had impaled his father with a diamond spear for a right arm. Confused and terrified, he ran.

That was the last time Alexis has seen Daniel. She was moved into the foster home program. Moved around until she finally landed with a family where she would attend Thomson High. In the time sense she has had to find a way to cope with being a frail human in a world of monsters. Where 'super' is the standard more and more each day. At first she was content to simply continue her boxing training, but decided that wasn't enough. She needed 'power'. Something that would elevate her from victim to hunter. The answer was deceptively simple.

The gun.

A seemingly very basic tool of life and death. After 'acquiring' (stealing) her first gun she took it to an isolated area and discovered that she had a talent for hitting the mark. In fact, almost unnaturally so. While she had to practice operating one a bit, she had an instinct for accuracy. And firearms were rather easy to come by in her area if you knew where to look. At first this was just an outlet to channel her anger. But after a year of beating punching bags in the boxing gym and shooting targets down range, she decided that she needed to be doing more. Something to actually help people rather than herself. Heroes attempted to, but they didn't seem to go far enough. It seemed common sense to her. Someone needed to take out the garbage in the world. And she was literally living in it. So last year she started her 'training' regimen. Which consisted of boxing, target practice and reckless operation of motorcycles. Putting together a persona she believed could strike fear and intimidation in criminals she created what will soon be known as Vendetta. As she eagerly waits for the right moment to reveal herself.

In the past month or so Alexis Cain under the alias Vendetta has formed a band of likeminded outlaws who were willing to support her in her goals to fight a war against the criminal elements of San Diego, dubbed the 'Outriders' they have been riding high off a string of successful strikes against organized crime in various districts of the city. However, after ambushing what was believed to be a meeting between the major bosses of the city's mafia circles. The Outriders in turn were ambushed later that night. After celebrating and drinking several members were either too exhausted, wounded or drunk to fight back. The night ended with two of their own dead. Sebastian who went by Steel and the very founder of the team.

However, some time later she awoke again in a lab which she found unfamiliar. Being resurrected by the nanotechnology of Walt Bismark. For goals and ends she does not know. But what she does know, is that she is alive once more. That she is now a living weapon with billions of nanites within her. And that her war against those who killed her and victimize San Diego is far from over.

Powers:

• [Nanite Physiology]: Vendetta has become a living host to billions of nanites which have not only granted her an arsenal of new abilities but has also enhanced her physical capabilities. Among all of these upgrades are
  -Enhanced Condition: Vendetta can now punch through brick and bend steel and easily lift grown men over her head. She can run upwards of 30mph for an extended time and the durability of her bones has increased x3.
  -Regeneration: Vendettas nanites repair damaged and destroyed tissue giving her a healing factor. She can shrug off cuts and gunshots in most instances as her durability and regeneration work together to keep her fighting.
  -Enhanced Vision: Vendetta can now see in both night and thermal vision
  -Electronic Interfacing: Vendetta can interface with electronics and even connect to the internet through her nanites. She cannot control robots or mechs in this way but can rather learn to operate one by 'reading' them. This is most often used on vehicles she is not trained to operate. Or to watch videos on the web when she is bored.
  -Shapeshifting: Vendetta can use her nanites to change the color of her hair and eyes and even alter her physical facial features.
  -Invisibility: Vendetta's nanites can bend the light around her to make her invisible.
  -Nanite Deconstruction: Vendetta can transfer nanites through physical contact to enemies to break them apart on a molecular level. This takes some time and is her most terrifying ability.
• [Indomitable Will]: Alexis is determined, to a fault. She doesn't know how to quit and will endure on when any sane person would quit.

Limitations:

• [Fatty Foods]: Vendetta must consume fat on a regular basis in rather large amounts to keep her nanites operating at full capacity, not doing so will force them to work slower and less effectively to conserve fuel.
• [Limited Regeneration]: Vendetta's regeneration can repair a great deal but cannot replace entire vital organs, there must be enough left of them to repair whats left. Also while her regeneration can handle most cuts and small arms fairly easily more powerful weapons prove effective in crippling her and forcing her to take time to repair herself. Also, severing her head is a assured way to instantly kill her.
• [Limited Shapeshifting]: Vendetta can only change so much of her physical features and cannot alter herself to be a animal or a male etc.
• [No Power Progression]: Vendetta has been granted many abilities by nanites, but as machines they have limits and cannot be trained to become stronger. To compensate she must master the abilities she has and learn to use them all to the fullest extent.

Weaknesses:

• [Extreme Heat, Cold or Shock]: Vendetta's nanites are machines. Meaning they can be broken. If subjected to extreme enough tempuratures or electric shock they can be frozen, over heated or shorted out.
• [No Technopaths Please]: Vendetta is basically a nanite cyborg meaning that she has a complete vulnerability to technopaths such as Wendy and her ony defense is avoidance. If such a person were to assume influence over her no amount of willpower will break her free until the technopath allows it.

Dislikes: Anyone abusive

If Alexis/Red Raven comes off as a little too extreme to be suitable I do have another concept I can bring in. Basically a nerfed Superman clone that goes by Savior. He was a character in the last IJ, I believe and I wanted to do more with that.

But I do the dangerous street leveler fairly well.

I think I'll stick to Alexis if possible. I got a few ideas for how her story could evolve depending on who influences her development. Either developing into a more traditional heroic character or a gradual fall into all out anti-hero like her Red Hood inspiration.

Also noticed that there is another Alexis in the game so I am fine going by her last name of Cain.

I don't know your characters in this RP yet, but I plan on making an NPC to attempt to steer Cain in to Red Hood territory. I was hoping a player character could perhaps step in and have the try and counter that influence.

Well, I don't really think there's any player characters older than yours that are available for serving as a mentor figure for your character, and most characters unaffiliated with the Young Bloods tend to be more on the villainous side as well.

I have a character called Icarus that's Cain's age that could help her not become a full fledged killer, but honestly he's pretty brutal himself, he just doesn't kill.

Other characters that come to mind (all of them Cain's age) are Violet (a heroine that's Anxiety Cafe's character) and Roy (Tomia's char and the YB de facto leader).

They dont have to be older per se, they could even be younger. Just well adjusted and with a strong moral compass to provide something of a foundation for Cain to latch onto.

She is kinda impressionable.
