Tonight, 5 sailors from the Ragerian Imperial Armada took to the field and got 13/13 hits, despite shitty Wi-Fi and a broken mouse for the trigger. It was my largest raid yet, my first perfect raid as trigger, and an honour to raid alongside my fellow Ragerians.

They have a special relationship whereby they maintain a degree of independence as a military force while still being in the Imperium.

They get to put their name alongside ours when they do their "contracts" otherwise they are simply part of the Imperium.

So you're taking on "hired jobs" listed in public dispatches on behalf of one of you "merged" (ergo should no longer exist independently) orgs? Hm.

I totally understand and know very well where the hate's coming from. It's a bunch of failed organizations combining into a new once. You'd assume it's doomed to fail, but from my perspective having an inside edge on what's going on in TRI, I'd argue otherwise, I think the combining of resources always furthers a mission, both in real life and NationStates specifically.

Let's start with the military aspect of the region, known as The Ragerian Armada. We hit (I believe, wasn't there) 14 regions last night. What I do know is that this is in stark contrast to TDV's failed tag runs of days gone by. The Armada, though optional for citizens has already found success and many veterans. Our inaugural tag run had a one-hundred percent hit rate, which though we were not being chased, is still exceptional. This means no screwed triggers, and no screwed jumps. I'm proud of all the people on the tag that took place last night.

Allow me to now address the details of the merge. The merge into TRI wasn't as carefully planned as I would've liked. HYDRA and TDV, in particular, were imploding in on themselves, while TDB wasn't generating much activity. We need a solution, and we found one quickly. In the opinion of many of the founding members of the region, if we were trying to make a large region, comparable to TBH or another org, or if we wanted to do incredible things, we'd need one centralized command structure and one military force, we’d be able to more effectively capture all of those native regions However, many of our members agreed that having a military shouldn’t be the sole area of focus in terms of citizenship engagement.

To remedy this situation, a regional government has been created. Currently, while serving as the region’s successor to the throne, The Prince of the First Rank, I’ve also been humbled to be appointed by the Emperor to run the executive-style branch of the government. To help me in these endeavors, I’ve appointed to Councillors to aid the Emperor and I in running the government. These fine individuals are Rachael Arche-VerinGuard, who has been involved in UCR politics for along time, and also serves as the current Empress and Sovereign of The Galactic Order, and Marilyn Manson, who has been involved in GCR politics for a while now, and came over from his post as Chair of the Foreign Advisory Council in The Dark Vanquishers. Citizens are able to join the civil services in three ways. Members of the Internal Affairs staff are able to help dream up ideas for fun games and contests in the region, while members of the External Affairs staff serve as foreign ambassadors to our embassies in regions abroad. Meanwhile, the Integration Staff aids the administration team, another body, in the approving or denying of citizenship applications.

The idea with having various civil services that citizens can easily get involved in is to have a civil engagement strategy, which, paired with recruitment, can make TRI an excellent region for all who wish to be involved. I think it’s also important for me to address the way certain things have been formatted on this thread. If you take a look, the original post is a bit lacking. Rachael did this, and I’m glad it was done, but it’ll be looking more respectful when I have some time to throw something a bit more professional together. I also noticed the lack of central alignment on the report, and I’ll poke Zarhurst about that in a bit.

Also, as a note on The Dominion of Tartarus. This is not DoT. It is not the same idea. DoT was not a merge. I’m not going to get into my personal opinions, but the vast majority of Firehelm went to TRE. This is not a one-region thing. This was a three region deal, and we’re looking to throw another couple regions in the mix. It’s also important to point out that the founder of all the iterations of HYDRA, McMannia Whitehall, is involved in the region, though he is not the founder. He serves on the Advisory Board and supports the merge, and hopes to help out. Should be fun!

You guys are very newbie-friendly and active, and you didn't lose any members when you merged. Mergers die when members don't follow along with the merge but here you actually grew as The Ragerian Imperium. Grow your region with stamps and fun and keep being original <3
