On October 14th, 2022 just a few days after the Russian movement into Estonia, large scale riots erupted in Riga by the Russian minority; throwing bricks, looting and fighting the police on the streets. This eventually lead to the government declaring a state of emergency further escalating violence in the capital. After a few days the government succumb to the demands of the Russians, declaring a special election on the status of the President; where the Russian-minority Social democrat based candidate, Julija Stepanenko, gained a majority of the vote as a compromise to ensure no further violence would occur. She soon after declared Nils Usakovs as the Prime minister with the support from the saeima.

On October 14th, 2022 just a few days after the Russian movement into Estonia, large scale riots erupted in Riga by the Russian minority; throwing bricks, looting and fighting the police on the streets. This eventually lead to the government declaring a state of emergency further escalating violence in the capital. After a few days the government succumb to the demands of the Russians, declaring a special election on the status of the President; where the Russian-minority Social democrat based candidate, Julija Stepanenko, gained a majority of the vote as a compromise to ensure no further violence would occur. She soon after declared Nils Usakovs as the Prime minister with the support from the saeima.

I just want to mention that Russia didn't enter into Estonian lands, and there was no actual war which broke out. It was more along the lines of the Cuban Missile Crisis. But, regardless, accepted.
