Personality: In his youth he was fiery and brash, with a charisma which allowed him to win over even the most unruly of peoples. Now he is older, more cautious and tempered, but he has not lost his sharp tongue.

Motives: Bring the faith to the Hub | Keep the Hub safe | Keep the Legion out of Louisiana

Backstory: Duhon was born in New Canaan as it was being created, and was raised a devout Mormon. Though his life was peaceful, he yearned to leave the sanctuary and preach to the many tribes outside their lands, and so when he became an adult he left as a missionary. His attempts to proselytise to tribes often ended in failure, and those with which he made progress were often marked as targets of the ever expanding Legion. To his shame he fled in their hours of need, abandoning them to their fate.

The burden of his failures meant that he felt unable to return to his home, lest he be remembered as a failure near on par with Graham. He travelled eastward, reasoning that eventually he would find cities and tribes far from the reach of the Legion, for rumours abounded that Caesar's eyes looked west. He found Louisiana a region like any other, war-torn and desolate yet with a slim sliver of hope in the form of its people.

His initial attempts to evangelise were a success, but unfortunately this dulled the paranoia perfected by years of being on the run from the Legion. Raiders destroyed his sanctuary and slaughtered those he had promised to protect, his own life being saved by fortunately being in the Hub to preach his message. Despair gripped him and he resolved to die, intending to attack the small gang who had taken his people in a suicidal attempt of revenge.

Luck smiled on him again, for he attacked at the same time as a group of well-armed vigilantes on the same mission of revenge as him. Only two of the gang members survived by surrendering, and though the vigilantes wanted to execute them for their crimes, Duhon convinced them that he could reform them. His mercy and message impressed the vigilantes and they agreed to join together, Duhon as the leader and Pymer in charge of the military group, known as Duhon's Dragoons. Duhon was not initially fond of having an armed wing of his branch of the Mormon Church, but had become convinced that until the faith spread throughout the wastes then arms were necessary.

A new sanctuary was built in Avery Island, south of the Hub, and it soon attracted a small number of converts, primarily from the Hub, who came as settlers and warriors. Recognition from the Hub and Providence soon followed, though the treaties stipulated that the Church was to be neutral in the conflict between the two states, and the Dragoons used only in self defence, or for the protection of citizens of each state from outside forces barring the other state.

After three years of success, a recent attack on the Shaw Clan, to avenge the deaths of several converts, has left dozens of the Dragoons dead, including Colonel Pymer. They have retreated back to Avery Island and begun fortifying it, wary of the Shaws continuing their attack, and Duhon is alarmed by the threat outside their walls.

I keep forgetting to mention that if you make a faction, I will need you to make a quote about your faction for when I add you to the roster. Something like those found in the NPC faction roster will do fine.

Well, I have some ideas I think to get your character out or you could just change Ryan to be a former slave.

Seems really far for an NCR deserter to go. You'd have to either go around or through Legion territory to reach Orleans. That's pretty risky...

Just a suggestion; if you want to do an ex-NCR soldier, why not do someone who retired or was dishonorably discharged. This way, he could join a caravan or something of the sorta, thus making a way for him to reach Orleans. Anyway, working on my app, should have it done by tomorrow.

The Consulate helped the nearby settlements who were attacked by raiders, feral ghouls, super mutants and alike and the nearby settlements started to recognized them. While the Consulate isn't recognized thru out the Louisiana Wasteland, they have become helpful in the surrounding areas of Natchez, especially building a defensive fort of the town. After the First Consul hears about the kidnapping of a royal member of the Rouyame which it's his relative, he orders all the people of the Consulate that they are facing a great challenge ahead and they are going to do it. The First Consul sent his best man to the Rouyame in order to gain more information about the kidnapped royal member, either way, the First Consul now launch his ambition in the good of his empire.

L: 4

Personality: Napoleon is very ambitious man, especially of his plans of expanding the Consulate. He is neither good nor violent, neither gentle nor cruel, having no equivalent could neither feel nor arouse the slightest sympathy. He is a man endowed with amazing abilities and a dangerous ambition. He could face adversity with firmness and majesty but could also be carried away to the point of frenzy when his passions met with opposition. Despite his very ambitious motives, each found Napoleon to be a man whose character was difficult to define – and who was perhaps all the more powerful because of it. Napoleon could be mild and stern, kind and unforgiving, generous and egotistical, far-seeing and short-sighted. He could be talented, intelligent, and passionate and also capable of inspiring others of his speech and his ambitions but also petty, vindictive, and callous concerning the lives of others.

Motives:
• Expand the boundaries of the Napoleonic Consulate.
• Expand the Napoleonic ideals and beliefs in the surrounding areas of the Consulate.
• To be recognized as an important figure in the wasteland, including his empire.
• Enhance the military force of the Consulate.
• Fulfill his great ambition.

Backstory: He was born at New Orleans in year of 2254 in the extension of the main royal family, from an unnamed male aristocrat and an unnamed female nurse. Not much is known about Napoleon's past other than a joyful kid and raised to be an aristocrat, living in the riches of the Royaume royal family. He was also taught how to fight to defend himself against hostilities such as raiders and feral ghouls in such a young age.

In 2277, he reached at adult age, having experience of training how to fight and shoot, his assignment was to eradicate feral ghouls who were staying at New Orleans Public Library, he would be accompanied by royal guards. As they arrived on the public library, they eradicated the feral ghouls which was a success, while he and the royal guards were searching the place, he found a history book which he got interested in, especially during the time of Napoleon as the Emperor of the First French Empire. He studied the entirety of Napoleon's history and the French Empire and he too began to act as Napoleon. He also spread this new ideal called "Napoleonic Ideal" thru out the Rouyame which people started to like the ideal. He also introduced the ideal to the military in hopes to overthrow the Roi and make himself the leader of the Rouyame. Meanwhile, the Roi was notified by this actions as it is an act of treason and an attempt of a coup d'etat and the Roi exiled him and the military forces who were caught by favoring the Napoleonic ideal.

They stayed on the Providence during the exile however they left after the military forces who began to see Louis as their leader, suggested a minor settlement to stay which Louis agreed. They went north until they've encountered a town called Natchez which is run by raiders and the inhabitants were simply slave laborers. The exiles stormed the town and while the exiles have great weaponry, the raiders decide to surrender and join the exiles. The leaders of the raiders were executed for their crimes and this marks a new era of Natchez. Louis then introduced the Napoleonic ideals to the people of Natchez which most of them like, especially that they are illiterate. Louis then calls himself "Napoleon" and formed the Napoleonic Consulate which people calls him the First Consul. During the early days of the Consulate, he orders his people to help nearby settlements against hostilities which they agreed and the results were the recognition of the Napoleonic Consulate to the nearby settlements.

In the present day, the kidnapped royal member of the Rouyame spread to the Louisiana wasteland rapidly which caught Napoleon's attention. He sent his best man (who is part of the Rouyame military exiles to Rouyame and to met the Roi to find Napoleon's relative. Meanwhile, Napoleon had began his great ambition to spread his ideals thru the wasteland and expand the Consulate's borders. The thing is, would he succeed? Or fail?

Personality: Grayson shows himself to be a serious, poignant figure, with undying loyalty to Napoleon, juxtaposing militaristic virtue during combat with the growing strands of self-doubt and existential concern under the surface. Grayson is an expert tracker and hunter whose instincts and skills, developed over the years fighting raiders and feral ghouls (when he was at the Rouyame) are legendary among members of the high-ranking Consulate military officers. Jaded and numb to the violence he witnessed day-to-day, Grayson is world-weary with a calm, cool, professional demeanor.

Faction Bio: The Steel Seekers started out as tribal nomads living in Arkansas around 2164. The tribe were generally peaceful and they never stayed too long in a location before moving on. Along their travels, the tribe never saw the need to acquire the technology or even guns used by the factions that they traded with. Mainly was it was their custom to live off the land and their preference for bows and melee weapons. Though they saw the value of finding technology and even parts to use for trading. So when the tribe is near old ruins or a possible location that holds useful scavenge, they often sent out people to search the area and collect what they can. Over time they become adept at this and gained a reputation for themselves. In response, the tribe decided on calling themselves the Steel Seekers.

In 2199, they were traveling when they came upon a group of refugees. The refugees were survivors from a bandits attack that were forced to flee their settlement. The tribe took pity on the refugees and offered for the refugees to join them. The refugees with no where to go and knowing of the tribe's reputation. They accepted and and joined the tribe. Since then, the new members have contributed to the tribe's salvage efforts. Also the new members were allowed to keep some of the salvage that the tribe finds and used guns as well.

By 2245, the tribe had changed due to the additions of the refugees. As the years passed, the tribe found that the guns that the refugees brought with them would aid them significantly. Bandits and some of the other tribes in Arkansas had grown more aggressive and started attacking the Seekers. The guns used by the refugees proved to be very useful to defending the tribe and the rest of the tribe was forced to adapt. Plus, the Seekers had started to use more of the salvage they collect for their weapons and the few equipment that they carry with him. Though this was not enough to keep the Seekers from their growing problems. A scavenger group called the Vultures had became a rival to the Seekers. The feud started when the Seekers were searching for needed salvage and the Vultures had arrived around the same time to gather salvage as well. The Seekers tried to negotiate with them about sharing the salvage. The Vultures had none of it and had grown tired of being beaten to a site by the Seekers. That talks ended with a shootout and the Seekers were forced to flee.

With life in Arkansas becoming increasing hard for the Seekers to their nomadic lifestyle and things were becoming desperate for the Seekers. When the Seeker were camped near

Character Name: Marcus Junius Brutus (Formerly known as John Bloch)

Age: 31

Appearance:

Karma: Good

Equipment:
SPECIAL: (40 Points)

S: 5
P: 5
E: 3
C: 9
I: 8
A: 7
L: 3

Personality: One of the Legions few mediators, Brutus prefers to fight with words than with swords or guns. Brutus is a devout Mormon, and while he respects the Cult of Mars as it helps inspire the men he has considered preaching to his soldiers. He is kind to those who surrender, and is always willing to honor any deals. However, should Brutus be double crossed, or his enemy refuse to surrender, he will show no mercy.

Brutus sees a lot of promise that could be reaped from Louisiana, however as Brutus said upon scouting the land "The swamp will need to be drained." He, unlike his fellow Frumentarii sees promise in the Shaw Clan while viewing the Royaume as vile and disgusting, and refers to them as Gauls. "So long as the Imperialist Gauls live, a permanent peace is impossible." Brutus hopes to capitulate the Hub and Providence since he sees great potential from their warriors. He also hopes that should peace be established in Louisiana, it will open a major trade route to the east. Thus allowing the Legion to get around the Mid-western BOS.

Motives: Convert the Tribes to join the Legion. Keep the Centuria from falling apart.

Backstory:
Born in New Canaan in the year of 2249, to pastor Gabriel Bloch and his wife Emma. Like his father before him, and many others in the town, John was raised to be a Missionary. He was taught how to communicate with the tribes of Utah, how to handle his guns, and above all else, the spread word of God. Once John was a teenager, word of the Legion reached the small town and with that tales of Joshua Graham reached his ears. These stories were an inspiration to John, and soon Joshua became a hero of his. He would learn some Latin phrases from some of these tails.

Once John was eighteen, he set out as a missionary to spread the word of God. John decided to follow in the steps of his hero, and take I-15 along with Route 89 to Arizona. After a year of working as a missionary, he was suddenly ambushed in 2268 and taken as a slave of the Legion. Seeing how well trained he was, they decided to throw him into the arena. John was able to survive against most of the other slaves that he was forced against, even defeating a Twin Mothers tribal warrior with a machete. John had gained a nickname, "Quick Foot" and small fame inside the Legion, thus some Legionaries wanted to take a shot at him. John was able to defeat a few recruits, but he finally met his match when a centurion challenged him. The fight gained a small following, and soon Joshua had heard word of this boy from New Canaan.

The fight would start on a blazing afternoon. John walked into the arena unarmed, but the centurion had been given a machete. The cheers from the crowd grew as John started to panic. Thanks to his quick feet, he was able to keep the centurion out of reach, but was slight slashed a few times. John was soon backed into a corner and against the wall. The fight came a sudden stop when Joshua shouted to the boy. Whether out of pity, or to see how strong the centurion was, Joshua removed the magazine from one of his .45 auto pistols and tossed the pistol into the arena. John taking advantage of the distraction dove around the centurion and grabbed the pistol. Not a single round was left in it, but in New Canaan missionaries were trained how to use their pistols in almost every combat scenario, including close quarters. John flipped the gun so he held it by the barrel, and waited for the right moment. Soon enough, the moment to strike came when John taunted his enemy. Quickly taking advantage, John pistol-whipped the centurion across the face, knocking him to the ground. John then proceeded, in an act of adrenaline, to bash the man's skull in with the pistol. John then finished him with the machete.

Following this, John was presented before Joshua. Joshua untied John's restraints and told him to sit. He handed John a book, the Bible. The two read scripture for the next couple of days, until Joshua decided that John would become a recruit. They would continue reading along with Joshua teaching John him as much Lain as possible. Eventually John would not see Joshua for a while, but some of his belongings were returned like his bible and later his missionary clothes. After a while, John was sent into battle for the first time and was given the name of Marcus. When Marcus went into battle for the first time, he had expected to wield a great blade but instead was given a rusted machete. Not only that, but he was just ambushing caravans in NCR territory, not the most grand of battles.

Eventually word of a NCR infantry corp was spotted further down the road Marcus was raiding. While his decanus wanted to attack head on, Marcus had a different idea. Using his irresistible charisma, and relation to God, Marcus was able to buy some brahmin from a farmer. Using some manure, duct tape, along with a c-4 plastic explosive he stole from one of the earlier caravans. One he had all his supplies, Marcus began to lay his trap. He let the brahmin stay in the middle of the road, with manure laid all around and taped the c-4 to the underbelly of the brahmin. The NCR spotted the brahmin and had a small scout squad investigate. Once they were in range, the c-4 was detonated, much to the surprise of the other Legionary recruits. With the great explosion killing several troops and causing the rest to be distracted, the Legion descended upon them.

The infantry was cut down, with the legion only taking a few casualties. Eventually a few privates surrender, hoping to be spared. The rest of his brothers wanted to see the prisoners executed or crucified, but Marcus a different idea. He allowed four of the five prisoners to be beheaded, but the five would serve a role. Marcus cut the last prisoner free, but before doing so Marcus told the prisoner to give the highest commanding officer he could find a message. "Tell them, the Caesar is coming. Si vis pacem, para bellum." Marcus gave the prisoner a small slash on the cheek to remember what had happened before sending him on his way. While Marcus' decanus wanted to give a different message, he congratulated Marcus for what had been done.

Eventually, after returning home, Marcus would be called before Caesar directly. Marcus had never seen the man, only grand stories. Marcus was brought before Caesar, with Vulpes Inculta along side him. Caesar congratulated Marcus for the plan, and decided to agree to Vulpes request to have Marcus be promoted to decanus and join the Frumentarii. From then on, Marcus was granted a last name, he chose the name Brutus with hopes of joining Caesar's Council. Marcus would go on to serve in many covert ops in the Frumentarii using his silver tongue and knowledge all the way. He was granted new battle armor in case he should need to go into battle along with a new blade which he named after his God.

Brutus would hear word of the First Battle of Hoover Dam as he was busy traveling to Louisiana. For his actions in assisting Vulpes, Caesar and Vulpes both agreed that they needed a "backdoor". Louisiana had been a major expansion issue for the Legion for several years now and decided to send some Frumentarii to open that door. Brutus arrived late in the year of 2277 and has remained there as one of the head leaders. Due to his actions of holding the position together, Brutus was granted the title of Centurion to act as one of two of their base. With the use of Brutus' charisma they have made several notable agreements with some of the bigger tribes, and Brutus feels he's close to getting the Shaw Clan.

Now Brutus is setting out for the Shaw Clan once more, in hopes of convincing them to finally join the Legion. Only through getting all the major tribes can they hope to defeat both the Hub and Providence.

Cautious yay, but again, why not just an NCR Recon guy sent to find a way to weaken the Legion?

Ah, I would get you. But still, someone dishonorably discharged can do as well.
