History up to the war (briefly!): Really not much. But Travencore happens to incline a little too much to Nazi Germany since both the nations have good economic and military relationship. Travencore never supported the Weimar Treaty that ended the First World War and lead Germany into an economic crisis.

Anywhere in the Americas other than the US and Chile/Argentina, the Middle East, Africa, and you can make some islands anywhere if you want.

Population: Around 8-10 millions
Army size (realistic!): 100 000 active or that could be mobilised fast. Could potentially double in case of a war
History up to the war (briefly!): Socialism gained popularity in Rapanatcha at a alarming rate following the success of the revolution in the Soviet Union. The parliament much more conservative and focused on traditional liberal value started to pressure communism and similar minded movement. The ruling monarch at the time, King Alrik II wanting to avoid a revolution, civil war or catastrophe of similar scale, called for negotiation and asked all faction to seek a peaceful consensus to ease tension and after years of compromise and gradual change in the constitution the country ended in this strange and somewhat unconfortable situation.

Yeah in idea communism could work but with human nature I believe many will exploit the system kind of how people do with things like capitalism. So trying to balance them could work.
