The Mediterranean Union was a small trading nation at first but grew to a reasonably sized nation known for its wealth and success in past wars.

Still a few problems. First, a quarter of the population being in the military is unrealistic. Second, why the Canary Islands? And third, you still have too much land. Greece, the Turkish coast, Cyprus, and the Syrian coast would be acceptable. Maybe the rest of the coast down to the Suez at most.

Well Germany was a giant fascist militaristic nation so it make sense for them to have a massive army. According to your App the Mediterranean union is a trading nation which would not have a large army.

Also you saying either let me be France or Italy or the Mediterranean Union is dumb. France and Italy are NPCS and the Op wants you to change the Mediterranean Union.
