I was in Voice Chat the entire time W&S was and I was the one who suggested the edit. The edit was removing a screenshot of somebody flaming Roavin, not something that would have been embarrassing for Witchcraft or the Order. While I generally am against logging in while intoxicated, I stayed awake far past my bedtime to help create a safe environment for one of our members to have a potential moment of vulnerability. Unsurprisingly, W&S actually conducted themselves as professionally as any other member in our discord that night. Hell, he was more behaved than I was (ask Red Dusk). His typing was far more drunk than he was, which is why the idea had been floated that he write the report (reminiscent of the hardly readable Vinny report posts). W&S saw the humor in writing a drunkpost and volunteered to do the job.

This all happened in a controlled environment and W&S knows that he is welcomed to erase the post at any time should he feel embarrassment concerning it, which he has thus far denied having. We in The Order of the Grey Wardens do not judge each other for enjoying ourselves with the occasional over-indulgence of a variety of vices. I'm sure many others in Gameplay feel the same as we do, considering how much of a success News With Booze was.

Judge us all you want, Souls. Your repeated attacks on our character have yet to make us love one another any less, and I highly doubt they ever will.

If someone is interested in writing a report, as long as it's within game rules, they can go for it. Plenty of things, big and small, have been done on GP via inebriated states, just ask any of the more veteran GPers or even your own troops.

The Grey Wardens' best conundrum solvers trying to figure out what KGB is doing

Tonight's report would be a pretty standard discussion of Warden efficiency and valor while fighting The Roman Empire's best darkspawn. Fortunately, we were provided with much better entertainment instead. Enter, to center-stage, The Kingdom of Great Britain. It's generally known to everyone as that place that still lets Vac have legitimate responsibilities, despite him frequently abusing his power to the point of even encouraging troops to break site rules and impersonate Wardens. Today, they've also staked a claim for "Most Baffling R/D Operation of 2018". Let us set the stage for you, ladies and gentlemen, for this is where things get wild.

We open up on United States 0f America a village that's self-described as existing in a "heavy RP region". They advertise Discord on their WFE, seem to be modeled after the real world's United States of America, and have a couple of quiet natives living their peaceful lives. The delegacy is non-executive, though the founder is indeed 46 days inactive - two weeks left until CTE. Update slowly meanders through the region, cascading and flowing as it imbues its magic on the natives.

Angry shouting is heard off-stage, barbarian hoots with an odd British accent

Barbarians: K! G! B! K! G! B! Hail to the King for he inspires me!

It is clear that update is beginning to pass close to United States 0f America now, nearing to within minute. In nearby lands, Grey Wardens soar move along as they spot for Darkspawn activity, primarily focusing on Darkspawn of Rome. They slow down, peering down off a cliff, taking a position that gives them a pretty clear view of the British Barbarians advancing on a perpendicular path.

Commander Tim Stark: Say... Vinny! Merlin! You guys see that group down there, the ones trying really hard to imitate Great Britain?

Chamberlain Vincent Drake: Yeah, I noticed them when we started our hunt and told you to mark their location on the map. You'd have noticed too if you weren't so busy making soup while some of us are actually spotting.

Stark: You say that now, Vinny, but I saw you enjoying your share of it plenty just ten minutes ago. There's nothing like a warm rabbit stew, with potatoes, carrots, and onions, to get you through a long night's hunt. I had my dinner, you saved time on making second dinner post hunt, and Merlin is still enjoying his soup even now.

Constable Sir Merlin looks up like a deer in the headlights and flashes a grin.

Constable Sir Merlin: Hey, I'm not going to be passing up food with how barren the Wilds have been getting lately. That rabbit trap came as a godsend, or we'd be stuck without protein again.

Drake: You know, I bet you could really maximize your efficiency and speed if you utilized less wasteful methods of consumption, though. After all, are we not Wardens? We should be the best of the best, the fastest of the fastest, the strongest of the strong. If you're not focusing your full energy on the task at hand, it is a wasteful situation. Sometimes, I can be fed purely by the thrill of battle and it's as good as any meal.

Tim: Whatever you say, mate. Some of us are happy enjoying the finer foods in life every once in a while, and today this rabbit represented the finest food of all.

Merlin: Hey, do you guys hear that? It sounds like the chanting is getting louder.

Merlin finishes the last of his soup and gestures down the hill.

As the Wardens watch, the troops of the Kingdom of Great Britain begin a charge upon their target village. However, what's very clear is that as the KGB troops advance, so does the mystical energy that resets lands and updates them to new forms. It's quite clear that these Barbarians are attempting to plant themselves right in the village right as the energy hits, placing them as temporary overlords of that domain. However, something isn't quite right.

Tim: So, you think we should tell them that there's no executive dominion in that village?

Drake: Why bother, let them rot. It's a real shame it won't be able to pad my Warden Records though, I've been slacking on defenses as of late.

Merlin: Hey guys, I don't think we'd be padding any statistics anyway. Look, the Barbarians missed.

What is visible is indeed true. The update energy has struck the village and passed onto its next target significantly before the British barbarians reached the village, a clear indication of their lack of battle preparation and hazardous leadership. The haggard group of seven darkspawn raiders, likely hungry for days and waiting ages for this deployment, had missed their chance. Sure, it wouldn't have mattered anyway, but insult always hurts when added to injury.

Tim: So, TL;DR, it would appear that our darkspawn foe have not only missed on their approach, but their target was one without executive power and still has a founding deity that remains intact. While it's certainly dormant, and has been so for nearly a month, it's still got at least a fortnight before it dissipates. And... it does seem that our foes intend to stay there until the next update cycle. I do hope they realize that if they try to pre-emptively pile an army into there that we can outgun them in just a couple of hours.

Drake: Yup.

Merlin: Sad. :/

Oh, also we chased The Roman Empire for a while and stopped KAISERREICH's piss poor attempt at invading something. Stopped some other noob fash too. All in all, a pretty solid night. Total tally was ten defenses and two tags.

Promotion of a new Commander

So we've got an actual announcement with minimal shitposting, memes, and general tomfoolery. We know, we know. It goes against our very brand, our corporate sponsors might consider pulling out if we don't get back on our game, the salt mines might suffer. You know what, sometimes you can take a break from all that and just talk about a really exciting event. The Order of The Grey Wardens is beyond excited to announce that we've promoted a new Commander from our ranks!

This individual has extensive experience within The Grey Wardens, dating back to last year when they began participating in our operations against the fascist-aligned invader region Femdom Empire despite being a member of a less than popular invader region themselves. They transitioned into working as an operative for The Grey Wardens within The Invaders, having grown disenchanted with the culture and actions of The Invaders and favoring that of the Wardens instead. Thanks to their efforts, The Order was presented with a plethora of valuable information about both the operations of The Invaders and the real nice things they'd say about everyone in their channels. In March of 2017, however, this individual fully switched over to The Grey Wardens, entering the order as a full-fledged Warden who had without question proved themselves. The Invaders, meanwhile, haven't really done anything of note in the year since those events.

Since then, this individual has accumulated a fantastic track record of involvement in the Wardens on both a cultural and a military level. A community regular, and one of the most driven Officers, this individual's involvement has demonstrated dedication, capability, and the leadership qualities needed of a Commander. With nearly 200 logged updates, around 750 defenses, over 200 detags, and more than 100 liberations, they are one of the most capable Wardens on the field of battle.
