While all of that is very impressive, people, I would like to remind you, that Lamia is still an Aircraft Carrier Demon - she won't go down just because someone sneezes into her general direction, as she has, by definition of our source material, more armour then Yamato.

Depends on how large that sub-carrier is - I-400-class size or more akin to an Underwater Longsword?

Alright, sounds good to me - as such...

...accepted. Glad to have him onboard... or beneath the board. You get, what I mean! ; )
Either way, Oberth, Locust, Lodan Lir, maybe Suoji's sub-carrier... how about we declare them the rearguard of the convoy, that came in earlier today?

Why am I suddenly imagining a Tugboat Fortress...?
Anyway, as for Oberth: The line-of-sight-limitation was the reason why I accepted her. Yes, as soon as you are in range, you should keep your eyes open, but outside of that...

Question: Heavy cruiser considered capital or escort? Also, you allowing 1944-1950 jet fighters?

apcr is a good round but it doesn't fragment well once inside the said target also apcr doesn't like sloped armor as it disperses the force of impact and lowers the penetration chance if you are looking for a round that can pen sloped armor and fragment well inside then I suggest APBC

Heavy Cruisers are Capitals, but also the only exception to the Capital Ship Ban. I should mention it somewhere...
As for 1944-1950 jet fighters, as initial air group for a carrier, they are allowed.

I spent a good ten minutes thinking about Halve's dialogue, and it's barely decent. I was trying to think about what she'd say without going over the top, but I dunno.
On a side note I love Halve too much I wish she was the one I made instead of Comet

App for submarine carrier. Feel free to point out anything that is wrong with it.
Personell file - Operational Sector Wide Sea - South West

Name: Josura
Type: Submarine Carrier
Class: Josura-class
Role: Mobile Base/Minisub Carrier
Nation of origin: Suoji
Year commissioned: 1950
Image or description of the ship girl/boy: Medium Build, with a height of around 173cm. Josura has short, light blue hair accompanied by large, orange eyes. In his hair are two diamond-shaped hair clips (which he was often ridiculed for in Suoji), one blue and one white. Clothes-wise, he wears a thin, light blue jumper with a white, silk jacket on top. A patch of the Suojian Naval Ensign (A Golden Admiral) is on both of his shoulders. He also wears a scarf of alternating dark-blue and white colours. His trousers are a similar white to his jacket, and are also silk.
Gender: Male
Character: Josura is known for his rather strange character. He often daydreams and doesn’t pay attention to the things that are going on around him. He lacks some social skills, and will often interrupt somebody’s conversation (much to Jokosuka’s anger during one of his may history lessons). When meeting anybody he’ll sometimes not even acknowledge their existence, and can sometimes just walk away from them. However, due to his rather large size, he was not sent out a lot and spent most of his time sitting in the docks, so he doesn’t have a lot of combat experience.
Special abilities: As he was intended to be a large, mobile base, he has decent repair facilities, which allow his fairies to repair basic damage to him.
Technical Description of the vessel: Josura was built as a testament to Suojian engineering, and was the biggest Submarine ever constructed by the nation. As the name-ship of the Josura-class, Josura was built first out of seven ships, built from 1945 to 1957, with two being complete during the Suojian Civil War (1944 to 1953). Josura was intended to sit back behind the front of the battle, acting as a base and communications point for the rest of the fleet, whilst launching mini subs to support them.

However, in 1950, many supplies were diverted to the production of tanks and supplying land forces, which meant Josura was deemed to resource-consuming to be launched, so it was launched in 1951, and supported the Super-Battleship Jinji and it’s fleet. In 1965, Josura was deemed obsolete, and was scrapped the following year. However, 2 of its A90 Minisubs are kept at Sayoto naval museum, where Suojian Fleet Two is kept.
Technical Data
Displacement: 25,300 tons
Length (overall): 197 metres
Width: 49 metres
Draught: 61 metres
Propulsion: 5 diesels (2,300hp each)(surface), 5 electric motors (2,000 each)(underwater)
Speed: 15 knots (surface), 6 knots (underwater)
Complement: 540
Armament: 8x 500mm torpedo tubes, 32x A90 1-man Minisub, 4x 60mm Kurosawa Anti-air guns
Armour: 20mm outer hull, 10mm conning tower, 18mm belt, 8mm deck
Notes: The A90 mini subs are equipped with two 230mm torpedo tubes. There are also weak spots where they enter and leave Josura.

If only, indeed.
On a different note, I for one like Halve's dialogue lines. As for the other concern, who knows, maybe she can do it like Yoanie wants to do it and become a Destroyer Ancient Demon or an elite of her class?

Regarding the new Heavy Cruiser, are those 48 individual 40mm Bofors or are they in double and quad mounts? Either way, there is no way anything but a battleship would be able carry 48 Bofors. Also secondary armaments are generally 127 mm guns or something like that, not 8" turrets those would be part of the main armament.

Postby Jebslund » Mon Jan 22, 2018 12:29 pm

Not gonna lie, I looked up the RL ships mentioned to get measurements and armaments, though the 88's and some of the armament numbers are my own substitution. Also, since I couldn't find a source on the top speed of the XP-55 as designed (rather than as built) other than a video I saw on it, I decided to get rid of the fighter based on it, seeing as the other two assimilated fighter types are vastly superior anyway.

Personell file - Operational Sector Wide Sea - South West

Name: Hornissennest-hime
Type: Carrier
Class: Bienenstock (roughly equivalent to the Yorktown-Class IRL (Enterprise, specifically), if the Yorktowns had carried jets)
Role: Strike carrier
Nation of origin: Jebslund
Year commissioned: 1947
Image or description of the ship girl/boy:
Hornissennest-hime, like most Abyssals, has long, white hair, which she wears in a hime style. Rather than the pale white skin of other abyssal, however, Hornissennest-hime and her battlegroup have inhumanly green skin, despite having otherwise human-like features. Hornissennest-hime wears a blackened and torn Wasserarmee uniform, a garment meant to visually resemble diving suits of the era, without the weights and helmet, and with rubber boots instead of metal, the soles designed to be as slip-resistant as the mid-1940's can muster. Detailing near the aluminum collars indicates that the uniform may have originally been orange.

In ship form, she looks much as she did as a ship, with the exception of the windows of her conning tower, and her anchor ports, which have become glowing demonic eyes, and the catapult exit to the hangar, which now features giant teeth which open to launch fighters. Additionally, the original paint has been corrupted to a dark black, and the entire ship radiates a demonic aura.

Gender: Female
Character:
Hornissennest-hime can best be described as... Driven. The targets she's assigned to sink/destroy, she eliminates. That which is to be captured will be pursued to the ends of the earth. The patrols she's put on, she makes sure nothing escapes her sight. The Abyssals she escorts are guarded with her very life. Her own escort is given the best support she can muster.

And, if she wants something, she *will* have it. And NO ONE ELSE.*stabbing sound* Who doesn't outrank her, that is.

That's not to say obsession is all she has. Toward those she cares about, she is very sweet and caring, often acting almost motherly to those she sees as family, and is fairly intelligent. Just... Don't cross her. It's not worth it. There's a reason her name means 'Hornet's Nest'.

Hornissennest-hime's resentment toward humanity is tied to her decommissioning. Namely, her creators using her to test ever-bigger bombs. Every time, they would send her to a beautiful island. Load her for battle with the same old aircraft. Then they would sink her. They'd raised her. Repair her. Load her up once more. And send her to the same island to die again. Over. And over. Until they built one big enough that they *couldn't* fix her. Small wonder, then, that she rose as an Abyssal Carrier-Hime. To her, the humans couldn't possibly be any different.

Special abilities:
Hornissennest-hime pain tolerance is nearly legendary, and her ability to precisely diagnose her injuries/battle damage by feel borders on preternatural.

Technical Description of the vessel:
Technical Data
Displacement:
21,000 tons standard
32,060 tons full load
Length (overall): 252.2m
Width: 34.9m
Draught: 7.9m
Propulsion: 4 × shafts; 4 × OzeanMaus geared steam turbines
Speed: 32.5 knots
Complement: 2,217
Armament:
8 × 127mm Zollstock naval guns
54 × 40mm Pompon (5×2, 11×4)
32 × 20mm Spuckballer (16×2)

Aircraft: 90
40 PHF-12SC(DHF) Ausf. A Corrupted Fliegendewaffel (Twin-engine heavy fighter/dive bomber comparable to a perfected version of the Vought XF5U Flying Flapjack. Designated carrier heavy fighter/dive bomber of the Jebslund Wasserarmee in 1947. Demonic eyes have replaced the intakes and propellers, and the aircraft radiates a demonic aura.)
50 JF-01SC(DJEF/TB) Ausf B Corrupted Maschinenteufel (Single-engine fighter comparable to the de Havilland Sea Vampire made to mount a single torpedo in place of the 500lb bombs. Designated carrier jet escort fighter/torpedo bomber of the Jebslund Wasserarmee in 1947. Demonic eyes have replaced the air intakes, and the nose sports an evil grin. The entire craft is preternaturally black and radiates a demonic aura.)

Armour:
63mm–103mm belt
60lb protective decks
103mm bulkheads
103mm side and 2in top round conning tower
103mm side over steering gear

Notes:

Aviation facilities: 3 × elevators
2 × flight deck hydraulic catapults
1 × hangar deck hydraulic catapults

In 1946, a new type of fighter was developed and put into production: A near-miraculous wonder of the waning propeller era that could take off and land near-vertically, at speeds so low as to be unheard-of in any fighter aircraft before it, and yet, at top speed, could keep pace with even jet fighters. Due to its odd shape, the fighter was called the 'Flying Waffle', and it was rushed into production in 1947 as soon as the kinks had been worked out of its design, with no nevermind paid to those civillians who had seen it in flight and immediately begun ranting about UFOs and flying saucers (and with no mention of teacups! Hmmph!), despite concerns that the fact that the airframe survived initial testing meant the engines may have been underpowered for Jebslund's military leaders' tastes, due to the amazing flight characteristics.

The fighter was put into service with the navy, where its amazing takeoff run could be put to use aboard even the smallest of carriers without the need of a catapult, with the latest of the Bienenstock-class carriers, the Hornissennest, chosen to be the first to receive the new designated heavy fighter. For over a decade, the Hornissennest and her crew faithfully served the Wasserarmee, proudly defending Jebslund and striking fear in the hearts of her enemies.

Until, that is, she was declared obsolete. She had known the day would come. The last five years of active service, she saw fewer and fewer veterans, and more trainees. She'd become a school ship, her once-feared fighters now relegated to training platforms. It was a decent fate, one her spirit was proud to have.

Until they moved her. They'd loaded her up with her old complement, armed her, fueled her, and, to all appearances, were sending her to battle once more. Except they weren't. They sent her to a beautiful island. Then abandoned her. Not a soul on board save the spirit of a once-mighty carrier, left to watch helplessly as radar contacts showed the incoming bomber. The first of many that would soon drive her to despise her creators as the bombs fell, the ocean swallowed her, and... And they dragged her back up. Repaired her. And sent her off to die again. A test target to evaluate new bombs.

At first, she took her new role in stride, seeing it as doing her part to keep the Kermanic war machine strong. As the tests went on, though, the agony of her repeated deaths and resurrections wore all good will Hornissennest spirit bore down until nothing remained but unbridled hatred for the monsters who refuse to just. Let. Her. Die... The ones who had used her and thrown her away and refused to allow even that mercy. The ones who had truly abandoned her. Thrown her to the wolves in an endless nightmare. Until the day they found their perfect bomb. Their silver bullet of annihilation that reduced an entire simulated battlegroup to barely-usable scrap.

And the day she found herself in a new place, risen as a new ship, a new being. And now with the opportunity to strike back at creatures so like those who had thrown her away.

The Jubelnleiterin class was a class of anti-aircraft cruisers considered vital to the Jebslunder war effort during the war. Even from the beginning of the war, Jebslunder admirals felt that anti-air firepower was necessary, and so it was that the Jubelnleiterin class was one of the most numerous in the Jebslund Wasserarmee, with several updates between 1940 and 1950. Adelheid sank shielding Hornissennest in a Blue-on-Blue firefight between Hornissennest and a battlecruiser when a miscommunication cased the latter to mistake her battlegroup for enemy ships. Personell file - Operational Sector Wide Sea - South West

Name: Mary Read Kerman
Type: Destroyer
Class: Pirat-class (comparable to the Battle-class destroyer)
Role: Anti-ship/Anti-sub escort.
Nation of origin: Jebslund
Year commissioned: 1943
Image or description of the ship girl/boy:

Mary Read Kerman has short, white hair in a pixie cut and wears a blackened and torn Wasserarmee uniform, a garment meant to visually resemble diving suits of the era, without the weights and helmet, and with rubber boots instead of metal, the soles designed to be as slip-resistant as the mid-1940's can muster. She is fairly short and has a petite frame, and wears several gold earrings in her left ear.

In ship form, she looks much as she did as a ship, with the exception of the windows of her conning tower, and her anchor ports, which have become glowing demonic eyes, and a giant, and her bow has become a demonic mouth. The entire ship's paint job has turned an unearthly black, and the ship radiates a demonic aura.

Gender: Female
Character:
Strong-willed and somewhat tomboyish, Mary Read Kerman lives for battle, and often finds herself bored when there's nothing to shoot. She has a nose for adventure (some would say 'mischief'), though she will follow regulations to a 'T'. In 'life', looseness with regulations was what cost her her life,

Special abilities:
She is a master of disguise.

Technical Description of the vessel:
Technical Data
Displacement:
2,480 tons standard
3,430 tons full load

Length (overall): 116m
Width: 12.34m
Draught:

Propulsion: 2 Snack-Behälter 3-drum boilers; 2 OzeanMaus geared steam turbines; 2 shafts, 50,000 shp (37 MW)
Speed: 35.75 knots
Complement: 268
Armament:
2 × twin 114mm naval guns
1 × single 104mm naval gun
4 × twin 40mm Pompon
4-6 × single 40mm Pompon
2 × quad tubes for 533mm Imbisswurst torpedoes
1x Verkaufsautomat anti-sub mortar (comparable to a Squid)

Armour: None.

Notes:

The Pirat (Pirate) class destroyer was developed by the Jebslund Wasserarmee specifically to hunt down submarines once the people in command realized that leaving big ships with no effective way of repelling subs was probably a *bad* idea, and frigates weren't always up to the task of chasing down enemy subs. Commissioning of the Pirat class and inclusion of at least one in every capital ship group reduced Jebslund's naval losses during the 2nd World War by a wide margin. Mary Read Kerman sank when laziness in cleaning the magazine and a careless ignoring of the onboard smoking ban resulted in a magazine explosion that cascaded through other explosive bits of the ship, crippling her to the point of scuttling.

Name: Kerriott
Type: Destroyer tender
Class: Herberge (Comparable to the USS Shenandoah)
Role: Support ship
Nation of origin: Jebslund
Year commissioned: 1943
Image or description of the ship girl/boy:
Kerriott has short, white hair, kept in an angled cut, green skin, and wears a blackened and torn Wasserarmee uniform, a garment meant to visually resemble diving suits of the era, without the weights and helmet, and with rubber boots instead of metal, the soles designed to be as slip-resistant as the mid-1940's can muster. She is short and, though still petite as far as shipgirls go, is stockier than Mary Read Kerman.

Character:
Very nearly obsessed with Mary Read Kerman, Kerriott leaves her side only reluctantly when the shooting starts, quickly returning to her side as soon as its over. She will not willingly allow Mary Read Kerman to leave her sight.
Special abilities:
She can cook almost heartbreakingly well, or lethally bad, depending on how she feels about the one she's cooking for. Kerriott also has training as a medic and a masseuse.
Technical Description of the vessel:
Technical Data
Displacement: 11,755 tons
Length (overall): 150m
Width: 21m

Complement: 1,035
Armament:
2 × 127mm Zollstock naval guns
8 × 40 mm Pompon AA guns
22 × 20 mm Puffmais AA guns

Armour: none
Notes:

Kerriott is your bog-standard destroyer tender, forever sworn to be Mary Read Kerman's spear-carrier, nurse, chef, and maid, and housing for her crew. She doesn't really have any illustrious stories, other than being the one keeping the Mary Read Kerman running smoothly. Was part of the battlegroup mockup bomb test that finally sank the Hornissennest "for good".

Name: Turmfalke
Type: Heavy Cruiser
Class: Turmfalke (comparable to a Admiral Hipper-class cruiser)
Role: Anti-ship Escort
Nation of origin: Jebslund
Year commissioned: 1939
Image or description of the ship girl/boy:
Turmfalke has shoulder-length white hair done up in a bun and green skin. She wears a blackened and torn Wasserarmee uniform, a garment meant to visually resemble diving suits of the era, without the weights and helmet, and with rubber boots instead of metal, the soles designed to be as slip-resistant as the mid-1940's can muster. The garment is somewhat less torn than Hornissennest-Hime's, and lacks the orange markings.

Character:
Aggressive to a fault, Turmfalke is a fighter, not a lover, and it shows. It takes very little to anger Turmfalke, and, once angered, she will gladly pound the target of her rage into scrap, a trait which is liable to land her in hot water with her superiors. Even as a normal ship, Turmfalke's crew would often pretend not to have heard orders to disengage a target, a habit which proved fatal to the ship in a late postwar skirmish, allowing the heavy cruiser to be sunk in an ambush after being baited by a damaged enemy frigate into a group of destroyers and submarines. Turmfalke bears a strong grudge against her creators, and humanity by virtue of their resemblance to them, over her rather ignominious death, and is no less vicious with her new enemies than her old.

Special abilities:
Turmfalke had got excellent eyesight.

Technical Description of the vessel:

12 × 105mm Lineal naval guns
12 × 40mm Pompon
8 × 20mm Puffmais
6 × 533mm Imbisswurst torpedo tubes

Aircraft:
1x JWC-03SFGBC Ausf. B Fliegendeschweine signal plane (Single-engine jet-powered small flying boat used to extend communications range. Flies to the edge of comms range, then signals all allied ships within its range, flying as much of a circle as it can while avoiding enemy ships as it does. Similar flight characteristics to the Me-163 Komet, but with a top speed of only 1000km/h. Unarmed, and, like the Japanese A6M Type Zero, has no armor or self-sealing fuel tanks. A demonic eye has replaced the cockpit, and the nose has become a demonic mouth much like the shark mouth noseart on the planes of the Flying Tigers. The entire aircraft radiates a demonic aura. *Can* be used for recon, but won't usually be unless the Fernglas recon planes are unavailable.)

2x PR-01SWPC Ausf. Z Fernglas (Single-engine recon seaplane comparable to the Swordfish torpedo bomber, sans armament, with a radar box attached to the frame between the wings on either side of the cockpit for redundancy. Typically launched by lowering the plane into the water first. The entire craft is pitch black, radiates a demonic aura, and has a small imp at the controls.)

Armour:
Belt: 70 to 80mm
Armor deck: 20 to 50mm
Turret faces: 105mm

Notes: None

The Turmfalke-class was originally built toward the beginning of the Second World War as an escort vessel for carriers and battleships after it was discovered that big guns and thick armor did *not*, in fact, an invincible battleship make, and that maaaaaaaybe it would be a good idea to have more, smaller guns in addition to the big, powerful ones. Later in the war, when aircraft carriers really started to take off, it became standard practice to put at least one Tumfalke-class in each group for protection. The class namer, the []Turmfalke, received new, higher-velocity main guns when she was refitted and assigned to the Hornissennest, but was spared her fate due to the crew pushing their luck one too many times.

One of her favorite tactics is to time her shots to hit just before the enemy would be able to drop their ordnance, though such "tactics" often earn her an earful.

Special abilities:
Erika, like her sister, has a near-impeccable sense of timing and balance, and a near-limitless emotional energy and stamina.

Technical Description of the vessel:

Technical Data
Displacement:
6,826 tons (standard)
8,470 tons (max)

Length (overall): 165.05m
Width: 16m
Draught:
6.25m (mean)
8.08m (max)

Propulsion: 2 × OzeanMaus geared turbines; 2 × screws
Speed: 32.5 knots
Complement: 802
Armament:
8 × 127mm Zollstock naval guns
16 × dual 40mm Pompon
8 × 40mm Pompon
4 x 88mm Taktstock AA (2x2)
8 × 533mm Imbisswurst torpedo tubes

Armour:
Belt: 28–95mm
Deck: 32mm
Turrets: 32mm
Conning Tower: 64mm

Notes:

The Jubelnleiterin (cheerleader) class were all given feminine names, and were called the Jubelnleiterin class because of the Pompon (Pom-pom) and Taktstock (Baton) AA guns standard to the class. Erika was laid down at the same time as her sister, and, like her sister, escorted battleships and battlecruisers until she was assigned to the Hornissennest. Erika was part of the battlegroup mockup bomb test that finally sank the Hornissennest "for good", and resents being 'thrown away' in such a manner.

Draught:
3.89m standard
4.7m full load

Personell file - Operational Sector Wide Sea - South West

Width: 21m
Draught: 8.38m
Propulsion: 2 × shafts; 2 × OzeanMaus geared steam turbines
Speed: 18 knots

Personnel file - Operational Sector Wide Sea - South West

Technical Data
Displacement: 20,100 tons
Length (overall): 210m
Width: 21.8m
Draught: 7.9m
Propulsion: 3 × OzeanMaus geared steam turbines, 3 × three-blade propellers
Speed: 32 knots
Complement: 1382
Armament:
8 × 203mm Fahnenstange-II high-velocity naval guns (received in 1947)
12 × 105mm Lineal naval guns

Aviation facilities: 3 × elevators

Yoanie is one of Lamia's three Yo-class Submarines. She's currently attacking Salvation and Stilly while sitting ducks, having lost one of her mates already.
Meanwhile, Lamia is providing cover for a retreat from the Caty-Battle.

Unfortunately, no. I still need to finish my canon factbooks for it, so I haven't been able to, and part of that involves armaments I still need to iron out in Kerbal Space Program, which I haven't had a chance to play in a few months.

Only thing I can think of would be to set up a test RP, maybe wargames or something from when they were still alive, but that'd take away from your time, so it's up to you.

EDIT: Another thing that just occurred to me, if verifiability is the issue, you could TG me something, and I could post it in the OOC section of the site I linked to, with your UN in the title.

On a different note, I for one like Halve's dialogue lines. As for the other concern, who knows, maybe she can do it like Yoanie wants to do it and become a Destroyer Ancient Demon or an elite of her class?

An RP sample is where you link to a high-quality RP post you've done in the past. This RP does not accept you writing your own stories for the sample. Also I'd recommend improving your grammar if you want people to enjoy talking to you.
This Nation does not use NS Statistics. Perpetually WIP

New Antonalia wrote:Regarding the new Heavy Cruiser, are those 48 individual 40mm Bofors or are they in double and quad mounts? Either way, there is no way anything but a battleship would be able carry 48 Bofors. Also secondary armaments are generally 127 mm guns or something like that, not 8" turrets those would be part of the main armament.
i said that the 3 x3 eight inch guns are the main armarment and I did forget to mention that the 48 bofors are in quad mounts so 6 per side

Okay, though I would recommend taking it down to 36 Bofors situated with one on the bow, two on the stern ala Baltimore Class or Des Moines.

Edit: Selkie, did you respond to Sergei? I can't find a response to him even though you linked my post in your response.

A, probably less than successful, model of what a Post Soviet Eastern European nation can be

Yes, I use JG Scale. No, Franscale is not better.
1 pxl : 1 inch is better than 1 pxl : 1 cm
