Well, tbf while they do violate it they have 40M people so they have been given a 2 year extension for obvious reasons.

A 2 second search would find you articals from 2015-2017 but don't bother (if you are in one of those states) getting a passport if you don't believe it just dont say I didn't warn you.

Goodness people can be assholes about the littlest of things in threads like these. None-the-less, even though I'm not from one of these states I must thank the OP as this has been a prevalent talking point in my family and its good to know that others would know about information that doesn't seem too prevalent in the news.

Side note, for people in New York, a drivers license alone would no longer work on domestic flights so you need to either get a Real I.D (I believe you can get it from the DMV) or like me you can get an enhanced license. Which allows you access to Canada, Mexico, and some Carribean Islands without a passport. It's pretty cool, would suggest.
