As the flotilla entered Ondil's waters, there was a distinct sense of apprehension - among the crews, the airmen of the No. 7 Expeditionary Wing, and the 4th Division. It had been decades since a Milintian country had deployed such a large-scale force to a conflict, especially flying the banner of their armed forces, and it showed in the way they conducted themselves. For the most part, the awaiting liberators conducted themselves admirably given the situation - they prepared for the oncoming conflict with a sense of stoicism and duty that was found in many of the world's greatest militaries. Indeed, there was a sentiment that although the country's military was far from the greatest in the world, it could easily match them with a bit of duty and determination.

Whether that would be true, of course, remained to be seen.

Finally, the call for the No. 7 Expeditionary Wing to deploy was issued. Four flights of F-2 Cyclone jets were deployed from the MNS Hook and sent to secure air superiority over the deployment zone near what remained of Lime City. Simultaneously, two battalions of the 4th Division would spearhead the deployment in force of the wider Division. From there, they would link up with Xanadarian forces on approach to the city of Ertha, and finally end this appalling violation of a government's duty to its people.

As the deployed "Spearhead Battalions" of the 4th Division made their way inland, a second wave of Milintian Federal Guard units deployed from the MNS Hook. This time numbering four battalions, the battalions - collectively codenamed the "Hypnos Battalions" - began to make their way towards the towns of Heyon and Core Canyon.

It had all gone crazy out there - more Milintian forces being deployed and now rumours of uncertainty between the Higher Commands of the Allied forces?! It was probably best not to tell the men everything, he thought to himself as he sighed and checked his surroundings.

"Captain," he would call towards one of his subordinate officers, "any sign of Xanadarian forces yet?"
"No sir. You think we should move up a bit further?" A diligent voice would sound to his right as Vulture helicopters made a pass over the deployment area.
He would take a moment to pause before opening his mouth to speak -- only to be interrupted by the incessant beeping of a new field update.
