Democracy Going To The Dogs?
After a recent election instated a small dog as member of parliament, the fringe group "Brains for Ballots" has demanded for the government to tighten voting restrictions.
I chose this option:
"The ignorant have taken over @@NAME@@," yells @@RANDOMNAME@@, from atop a soap box podium. "It is time that the intelligent retake the polls! Mr. 'Scruffy' is a disgrace to democracy and should be taken out of office instantly! I propose we issue mandatory I.Q. tests for every voting citizen and if they are found to have below average reasoning ability - namely lacking the foresight to see that electing an inanimate object to office will cause disaster - then they shall be excused from the responsibility of voting."
As the consequence, I got this effect:
Only fully-fledged members of MENSA are allowed to vote.
And just for your information,
Doesn't look logical, isn't it? After all, how can an average Joe be a MENSA member? We wanted to filter out morons, but for some reasons filtered out even people with average reasoning ability. But after some thinking this effect makes sense for me.Mensa is the largest and oldest high IQ society in the world
The answer is simple: we did exactly what we planned to do, we filtered out morons and only morons. The problem is, that the majority of citizens of NS Countries ARE morons (I hope this isn't a big suprise, considering content of issues and their effects). So in order to have at the least "an average reasoning ability" you have to be a MENSA member. But if so many people are idiots, then what does "average" mean? I guess it's supposed to mean the median in the IQ range. Like if the majority of population has 60 IQ, while the maximum is 200 IQ and the minimum is 30 IQ. In this case the average IQ would be the median number between 30 and 200 (This is 115 IQ).
