Armageddon-Class Warship Blaze of Retribution

While the Annihilator-Class Battlecruiser kept recharging, its captain ordered another barrage of Neutron Torpedoes and put its Railgun batteries on stand by, ready to fire the moment the enemy's shields dropped.

Meanwhile, the Armageddon's A.I. was handling the battle with only the occasional specific order from Caelestis. While linked with the network of espionage probes in the system, she could keep an eye on everything that happened in the system while simultaneously directing the fight. She was aware of the androids' energy signatures on the moon, the cloaked Warastrokan vessel, the new arrivals who seemed hellbent on destroying the Higher Japanese, and she was very much aware of the Posthuman vessels moving at speed for a hit and run attack. She had already calculated the path they were set on right now, and rapidly recalculated every time their course would change even the slightest bit. In preparation she put the vessel's tractor beams trained on the paths, they'd come in fast, but if the tractor beam was active in their path, they'd fly right into them, and stop them dead in their tracks, making them sitting ducks for the vessel's powerful weapons.

But they were not here yet, but the Arkeyanan battleship was, so for the moment at least, the ship's weapons kept firing in that.
"These shields are ridiculously tough for a battleship, weaponsfire like this would've torn apart a Bhaalgorn in seconds, and that one's shields would be strong against plasma weapons!" Complained the A.I. to Caelestis.

"Yes, at this rate it'd be faster to board them and shut down the shields manually with infantry. The longer we stay here the more enemies will realize our presence and target us." Replied Caelestis. "If we'd have added bigger Ion Cannons instead of these Heavy Gauss Cannons, we'd be done here by now.. Take a note of that."

"Perhaps they are not entirely useless in this situation, my lady. So far we've been shooting nuclear shells at the target, but we could also load our EMP ordinance into them. That way we create makeshift Neutron torpedoes, or at least something akin to that. We just need to make a small adjustment to the ammunition and we can get it done. Shall I proceed with this?" Proposed the A.I.

Caelestis pondered the idea. "Well it'd be worth a shot. Begin preparing some shells for this and fire them, let's first see how effective they are before committing more ordinance to this idea."

"As you wish, my lady." Responded the A.I. She then activated the loading systems and other automated systems to start preparing the ammunition.

During this whole battle, the Robosian ships had not moved an inch. This was the perfect distraction to allow the landers to reach the surface undamaged. In fact, SC5-1038-E had even sent a second landing group down, doubling the size of the base.

Then, it began mobilizing one hundred and fifty HC-Class Astroships. The ships arranged into a triangular pattern, slowly meandering through the vastness of space. Then, suddenly, they turned to the Arkeyanan ship Revenent. The massive barrage of missles slammed into the ship’s side.

Then, SC5 sent out a message to the Blaze of Retribution:

Code: Select all
To: Doom Legion ship BLAZE OF RETRIBUTION
From: SC5-1038-E

We have noted that your ship has engaged in combat with flagships belonging to Higher Japan and Arkeyana, two nations which are currently fighting against the Robosis Corporate State. We have also noted that you have abducted several Higher Japanese escape pods. Seeing as we have the same enemies, we request that you cooperate with us in military operations during this war and also share any information you may gain from interrogating Higher Japanese prisoners.

The Semper Tyrannis - flagship of the Decepticon fleet sent there - was surrounded by frigates, battleships, corvettes and dreadnaughts. It had served the Empire well for decades if not centuries now: Having been instrumental in the Battle for Nebulos back in the early 2040s, its cannons destroyed the Autobot stronghold of Kortorus, preventing them from hindering the construction of the Megamaster MegaZarak, who would then proceed to fight Grand Maximus across the planet. Soon, their fights would result in the demise of Old Nebulos itself, and the survivors were forced to relocate whilst the Cybertronians absconded that region of space for Rebirth. The Rebirthians - Cybertronian colonists whom departed Cybertron early in the Great War - were entrenched in a civil war between the oppressive Optimus regime and the Malignus revolutionists. Scorponok himself had become binary-bonded with Zarak and Fasttrack, both of whom now served as his lieutenants during this war effort.

As Scorponok reclined in his throne-chair, he decided to immerse himself in the conflict. Warships on all sides were obliterated; their wreckages were submerged within the masses of arriving warships. While the orbit of New Earth (or Neo-Terra, as it had come to be known as to some) was littered with destroyed starships, the actual planet itself would soon fall victim to yet another battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons. Scorponok wondered if travel to and from New Earth would be possible for the rest of the century; what's left of the carcasses would have probably cluttered the stratosphere, though, yes, a good chunk of it would eventually fall down to the planet and burn up in the atmosphere. That is, if New Earth and the rest of the solar system survived the war. After all, Scorponok had covertly constructed several base on New Earth's moon and on New Earth's neighbouring planet - Martios. If the initial ORBAT was decimated in combat, Scorponok could simply retreat to one of these bases (likely the ones on Martios), recollect his army, and wage his war again whilst his enemies are murdering one another in combat.

Scorponok knew that he wasn't the only general interested in the conflict. Deathsaurus - of whom absconded the Megatronists by destroying a fleet of Warworlds and joined up with Jhiaxus' Cybertronian Empire (the predecessor of the Second Cybertronian Empire, ruled by Supreme Emperor Megatron) - had displayed great interest in the war when , as well as that "arrogant wretch" (as Scorponok liked to call him) Starscream. Unlike himself and Starscream, Deathsaurus didn't display any signs of genocidal or self-aggrandizing ambition; he merely would have liked to rule over Earth; either that, or he would have been interested in claiming a new colony world after Star Sabre and his fanatical Tyrestian lackeys purged the last one and eradicated most of his civilians. News of the genocide reached the Outer Rim, where the Battle for Nebulos was being fought. Unfortunately, Autobot High Command was very quick to condemn Star Sabre and Chief Justice Tyrest, dismissing them both as "defenders of tyranny" and deeming them both to be "fanatics". If only they hadn't been so speedy, Scorponok could have used the genocide to turn the World Watchers against them.

He knew that the Autobots despised the Human Confederacy just like they did: The only major difference in that hatred was that the Autobots didn't officially pursue genocide against humanity to exact vengeance for that time in the Allowed Zone. Perhaps if humanity had played their cards right, the Autobots would have remained staunch allies with humanity, developing their technologies until Point Omega. But the humans had created an enemy of the Cybertronians, and Scorponok was certain their arrogance would lead to their downfall. In fact, it was likely instrumental in Megatron's defeat of the Autobots on Cybertron; if the humans hadn't been attacked by both sides, and if the Autobots weren't divided, then the Decepticons would have likely been scattered throughout the stars, Megatron would have been executed by the Galactic Council, and the remnants of the Decepticons would have been struck by infighting on backwater colonies as they tried to scrape together another Decepticon Star Empire.

But Scorponok was letting himself get distracted.

Yes, he had to focus on the battle in front of him. Mindwipe - he thought of him as a "deranged lunatic who was obsessed with dead 'bots" - had somehow managed to be intelligent and cunning enough to become his second-in-command. Some claimed that Mindwipe was part of Servion's Brotherhood, that he wanted to commune with the departed in order to create some kind of undead 'Terrorcon' army. But Scorponok couldn't care less about that. After all: If Servion was loyal to Megatron's regime, then that was all that mattered, even if he had a few screws lose and wanted to resurrect Unicron - sorry, the Chaos-Bringer - himself. Scorponok saw himself as the future leader of the Second Cybertronian Empire, but he had to bide his time: If Megatron was taken out of the picture, a power vacuum between those Resistance anarchists, those Autobot traitors, the likes of Starscream and Shockwave, and those deranged Megatron loyalists (like Lugnut) would spark a civil war which would tear Cybertron, and the entire Cybertronian race as well, asunder.

He couldn't risk that, nor could he risk losing this war. If he lost this war, then his efforts to become leader of the Decepticons would have been jeopardized.

Standing up, Scorponok suddenly noticed IROC's message, confirming the fact that they intended on allying with the Second Cybertronian Empire.

We shall gladly accept your aid. We are sure that Lord Megatron will be kind enough to allow your forces to claim some Confederacy colonial worlds that we will not purge of organic life. Monetary compensation will be discussed at a future date, though it will more than likely be in the region of the billions of shanix.

Peace through tyranny.

Inside the Steelhaven, flagship of the Autobot forces, Fortress Maximus remained deeply entranced in thought. The Decepticons were well-known for their endless wars of conquest: First, it was that war in the Supreme Authority and that war with Chuching, now, around two centuries later, it was the war on Earth. The Decepticons were basically machines of war by this point, brutally pushing through the defences of their enemies. Some of the humans had taken to calling them "gigantic Terminators" for some Primus-damned reason. By no means were the Autobots or the Human Confederacy allies; their warships were fighting each other outside. But it was clear by this point that the Decepticons were by far the bigger threat: If humantiy won, the Autobots could simply commence with negotiations and end it on their terms, whereas the Decepticons would, if they won, likely purge the entirety of New Earth and repopulate it with mechanical lifeforms.

It would likely be converted into a worldwide concentration camp, like New Tarn (which was once known as Ambarvalia), or maybe it would be converted into a mining facility or a colony world. At least with the Human Confederacy there was a chance of survival; with the Decepticons, there was nothing else but death. To his left was a fleet of Robosian warships - HC-Class Astroships, the HUD called them. To his right was the Higher Japanese fleet - who had sworn themselves to aid the Autobots. Fortress Maximus had no Conjunx to speak of, for he had always been enveloped in battle. Garrus-9, Simanzi, Hell's Point, Nebulos, the list went on. He didn't know if anyone would mourn him, but he at least wanted to take down some Decepticons before he died in battle. Suddenly, he spotted several CTCF warships speed through space towards the Steelhaven, and then their weapons were activated and began to open fire on the Steelhaven.

Luckily, the Steelhaven was prepared for such tactics and had managed to diminish any attacks on its outer shell. The nearby defending Autobot frigates - apparently Quickswitch-class frigates (named after the Autobot) - returned fire on the CTCF battleships. Several of the battleships had been destroyed, though the battle on the Autobots' frontier was transformed into a bit of a firestorm, what with the destruction of several frigates and battleships, with the odd corvette being brought into the mix. Though the battleships in question had severed its link from the rest of the fleet, they still posed a strong foe to the frigates, even if it was taking some damage.

The Revenant and her escorts continued unloading on the Retribution and battlecruiser when the barrage of missiles hit. "Captain, I suggest we fall back and let the shields recharge, I'm detecting ordnance shifts within the Flagship's projectile weapons and suspect it might cripple the shields if not watched out for. "Ugh... Very well, fall back with the Corvettes in tow, we will deal with this later." 5209 said. The Revenant's engines fired up as she backed away and turned back towards the Arkeyanan Fleet. The corvettes also fell in formation as they fired a few more shots from the rear.

Kolik frowned, having listened to the message, thoroughly, he sighed and said "it seems as though our stealth plating won't be doing us much good this time, open a hailing frequency and deactivate the playing, it's just wasting dueterium."

The AI appeared and said "deactivating now, would you like me to bring the weapons online?"

He thought for a moment and said "no, keep them offline for the moment, we are not an aggressor at the moment, so we have some protection in being neutral, open the channel, full security"

"Open sir"

If the recipient had a screen, they would see him, he would appear similar to a human, but standing taller, and with blue Iris's. He wore a uniform similar to a standard military uniform, but instead of medals, it had four yellow bars that sat aligned vertically next to each other on the breast of his uniform. On his shoulder was the insignia of Starfleet, a grey star with a orange circle behind it.

He cleared his threat and said "So it seems you spotted us after all, in sorry if our arrival caused any form of disturbance, I am Captain Kulik of the WRS Vasoi, Surveilance Vessel of the Warastokan Republic, we do not have hostile intentions, and we are simply here to chart the system and perhaps take some surface scans of some of the planets here, I do hope our operations will not be of any trouble."

He then said "Since this is a first contact scenario, perhaps you would like to join us, it would give an opportunity to properly introduce ourselves." He then gave a quick hand motion, and the channel was put to receiving only.

He turned to the AI and asked "where is the closest Starfleet warship?"

The AI did a quick comms check and said "The closest Starfleet warship is the Battlecruiser WRS Olarsi, and at the fastest she would be here in a matter of 14 minutes and 34 seconds, that's of course unless you count the two gunships we are carrying, we could launch them if things go sideways, but they would merely serve to stall a ship that size"

He nodded and said "get that ship here, we may need them yet, have we received any other unexpected communications?"

"For the moment no, but I wouldn't say that will last"

He smirked and said "I could've told you that, keep an eye out, and let me know if our new 'friends' make any unwanted moves"

"Anything else captain?"

"Let the High Admiral know what's going on here, for all we know this conflict could spread, and if it does, the Admiralty needs to know about it"

"Affirmative, should we continue course to the small Class C world?"

"Please do, id like to put some distance between us and that battle as much as possible"

"My lady," began the ship's Comms Officer. "we have received communications from one 'SC5-1038-E', a machine intelligence aligned with the Cybertronians. They have identified themselves as the 'Robosis Corporate State' and since we have been attacking the Arkeyanans and Higher Japanese, their enemies, they propose a pact of cooperation. How should we respond?"

"Really now?" Replied Caelestis. "Well I'm afraid that won't do. After all, the Cybertronians are little more than small rivals, any faction aligned with them fall under the same category. However their trust could be beneficial to us, not having to worry about a Cybertronian attack is a significant relief, that way we can focus on pushing out the more heretical factions first." She put her arm under her chin for a brief moment in thought. "Send them a reply. Tell them that at this time, we are not yet willing to officially align ourselves with any faction with regards as to our own safety, however we would be happy to accept a cease fire for the moment. I'm sure they'll see the wisdom in that."

"As you wish, my lady. I'll make sure the message gets to them." Replied the Comms Officer, who then immediately went to work.

Greetings.

We have received your message and your request for cooperation. However as we are not entirely sure about all factions and forces present in this conflict, we would like to hold off on officially aligning ourselves with any faction right now.
However, we would be willing to agree to a temporary cease fire between our forces and those of you and the Cybertronians.
Until we know more about the conflict and the involved parties, this is as far as we are willing to go in regards to cooperation.

Kind regards
-Lady Caelestis Solkindle of Stellaris

No sooner had they sent the message and they were being hailed by the Warastrokans.
"My lady, the unidentified vessel that was in hiding which we messaged is hailing us. Your orders?" Asked the ship's A.I.

Caelestis merely nodded. "Put them on screen." she said. "And monitor the channel for any suspicious data."

The A.I. obliged, and a sizeable holographic screen was projected in front of her.
Caelestis took in the sight of the man before her. He looked pleasant enough, she certainly had encountered- and killed- more repulsive xenos in the past. His uniform also made it quite clear that this was a military man, not an explorer or scientist or a trader.
She listened to what he had to say and his invitation came as a mild surprise. She motioned for the A.I. to allow audio and video transmission so that she could reply.
On the screen she appeared, sitting in her command chair, surrounded by buttons and controls. Her pale white coat and orange-white mane were combed to perfection and she had not a speck of dirt on her. Her bright orange eyes and the rest of her face and body were regularly illuminated by lights of blue and green, flashes from the battle outside and from time to time the bridge would shake a little bit from weapons impacts on the ship.
She let out a little cough, then spoke: "Greetings. I am Lady Caelestis Solkindle, and on behalf of the Legions of Doom, I accept your apology. As you probably noticed, this system's a rather active war zone right now, we're not taking any chances with neutral or unidentified factions."

She paused for a moment, then continued. "Still, you are correct, this is a first contact situation, so I suppose I should give you the benefit of the doubt here. I do say I am surprised by your invitation, after the kind of message we sent you and considering the capabilities of your vessel.. well, most would have hightailed it out of the system by now. Sadly, I am a little too occupied at the moment to join you, as you might be able to see." She gestured outside at the bright flashes of weaponsfire and the occasional rocking of the bridge. "However one of my sisters I'm sure would be happy to take you up on your visitation. Perhaps the two of you can work out something beneficial here, because I'm quite sure you don't intend on ending up at the wrong side of my ship's weapons." She said with a warm smile.

Caelestis then put the channel to receive only and sent the orders to meet with the Warastrokan vessel to the Chant of the Valorous, Lady Sethiris' vessel. She then turned her attention back to the battle.
Shortly after, the ship's A.I. reported in. "My lady, the enemy is attempting to withdraw from the battle. They mean to retreat before their shields fail."

"Unacceptable! Have you readied the EMP munitions yet?" Asked Caelestis.

"I have prepared enough for a full broadside barrage." Answered the A.I.

"Then fire it! Focus all fire on their engines and I want all cannons to fire the moment those shields drop. Meanwhile, patch me through to the Blade of the Sanctified." Commanded Caelestis.

As ordered, the ship's Heavy Gauss Cannons joined the chorus of weaponsfire, firing shells similar to the nuclear ones, except these had an EMP payload.
A brief moment later however, the Blade of the Sanctified executed her orders and made her grand entrance.

The massive rift she appeared through, was opened up right in front of the Revenant, and the ship headed straight for the smaller battleship with the clear intentions of ramming it.

Meanwhile, at the location of the WRS, another rift was torn open, and from it emerged the massive ship that was the Chant of the Valorous. The Armageddon-Class Warship elegantly positioned itself next to the smaller Warastrokan vessel, and requested permission to board with a diplomatic delegation.

Low New Earth Orbit
9200 Kilometers to the rear of the Decepticon-allied fleet and closing
Approximate Velocity (relative to main engagement): 1.2 km/s

Closest Approach in 5m 12s

At long last, he had a visual on the target.
Strictly speaking, it wasn't a visual on the target, but even at over 9000 kilometers out, Elisha had a visual on the engagement. Reaching his consciousness outwards through the Dawn of Liberty's systems, he took control of an exterior camera. Engaging its telephoto lens, he zoomed in further and further on the glowing set of dots that was the battle until the system beeped at him with mild irritation. Yep, bingo.

Of course, this meant that he himself now had to worry about being seen. Withdrawing himself from the camera control console, he reached out across the airwaves to his 600-strong light drone fleet, shutting off radiators and doing everything possible to minimize their EM signatures while tightening them into a layered column-like formation, the ships at the front locking their lime-green energy shields in a phalanx-like configuration. True, each packed barely a third of the firepower of a comparable manned vessel, but that was precisely why he had brought tons of them. He wrapped band after band of ships around his battlecruiser and carriers, ensconcing them securely within layers of shields and starships. Finally, he broke off a detachment of Lance-class drone missile frigates, forming the 300-meter-long ships into four narrow "tails" trailing behind the main formation, ready to be detached at a moment's notice.

At the periphery of his consciousness, a warning signal began oscillating back and forth. Temperature warning. Of course. Shutting off the radiators had consequences - each of his ships was now slowly cooking on the inside. However, as the computer systems dutifully informed him, this would not become a serious issue for another ten minutes, by which point no stealth would be needed.

He checked the clock. Two minutes until showtime. This was either going to be brilliant, or incredibly, spectacularly stupid.

Kulik listened to the voice as he watched her facial expressions carefully, and gave every word careful thought as he listened and after she finished he nodded and said "Considering the situation, it would likely have not helped our first impression to tuck tail and run when given a simple request, after all, your request was fairly simple to comply with, besides, it would be a waist of good dueterium for us to come out here and not finish our orders. It is unfortunate that you could not attend, but I am certain that your sister is a more than capable substitute, we will accept her willingly, i would like to give a fair warning that i have contacted a nearby battlecruiser, and will likely arrive soon, while i am no longer concerned with your...position towards our presence, i am not so confident that the other belligerents will be so...accepting, it should arrive sometime within the hour, but if you tune your sensors you should be able to pick out the cryptospace signature, cryptospace travel makes a very unique energy signature before a ship arrives, i figured i should give you the same curtesy and forewarn you"

he nodded and the AI set the channel to recieve only, but not before giving away a glimpse of its hologram.

His sensor operator was about to speak, but the AI beat him to it.

"FTL signature, not far, matches that battlecruiser exactly"

"Her sister I presume?"

The AI smirked and said "They are asking to come aboard sir"

Kulik nodded and opened the channel to the newly arrived battlecruiser and said "Please, we would be glad to have you" he nodded and it was shut, returning to the original channel. He thought for a moment, and asked "Any response from the admiral?"

"Not yet sir, but I will inform you as soon as he contacts us"

He nodded, he had a feeling today was about to get even more interesting than it already was.

As she received a new piece of communication, Caelestis briefly turned back to the comms screen. She listened, then switched to transmit again.
"I thank you for the heads up, not that a Battlecruiser would be much of a threat to mine or my sister's vessel, but I appreciate the sentiment." She said with a subtle giggle.
"Now I wouldn't worry too much about the other factions in regards to your own vessel, I assure you as long as you stick with my sister's ship, you'll be well out of harms way. Only a madman would attempt to attack a Legion ship engaged in diplomacy. We are a bit.. extremely protective of our diplomats. Now I'm afraid I must leave you, the battle demands my undivided attention, but I'll be leaving you in the capable care of my sister. Farewell." And with that she cut the connection, and turned back to the spectacle before her.

Aboard the Chant of the Valorous, Lady Sethiris readied herself for her assignment. A diplomatic mission was just about the last thing she expected to be partaking in, so Caelestis' orders took her off guard. She stood on the bridge, peering at a hologram showing a reflection of her face. She was making sure she looked presentable and worthy as someone who would represent the Legions. A brush floated around her, swiftly combing her blood red hair while she simultaneously checked her clothing, a fancy looking dress made of a silvery silk, with streaks of gold and crimson mixed in, which complemented her yellowish fur well. She checked her side, where a plasma pistol was tucked underneath her dress. Just in case.

"A diplomatic mission? Really now, I expected to be in the thick of it, smiting the enemy as a lady of Stellaris should be." She complained to her A.I. as she applied some perfume as a last touch. She sighed. "How do I look?"

"Like a true lady of Stellaris, when she isn't smiting her enemies in the thick of battle, my lady." Came the voice of the A.I.

"Right, well, have we gotten permission to board yet?" She asked, a hint of impatience in her voice.

"Affirmative, it just came in. Your escort awaits, whenever you're ready." Replied the A.I.

"Alright then, let's get going. Can't be late for a first contact meeting, now can we?" She said, and she walked up to the teleporter pad, which took her down. A boarding tube was being extended, connecting to the alien ship. At the entrance, she was greeted by a trio of Legionnaires, two of them Slayers, judging by their weapons, the other a First Legion Veteran, the decorated markings on his shoulder pads revealed.

"Lady Sethiris, we are ready to board." Said the Veteran.

"Very good. Follow my lead." She ordered. The door to the tube opened up and she walked through, followed closely by the three Legionnaires, the heavy thuds of their power armour echoing through the boarding tube.

the Revenant's shields finaly fell after the barrage, and the collision from the ram caused most of the fore Armor belts to buckle. The mighty battleship was tossed into a spin as its armor was practically sheared off from the crossfire, leaving only rapidly failing Integrity force fields to keep her together. All across the ship, alarms sounded as the A.I. kicked emergency reactors online in an attempt to keep the fields online as personnel evacuated via shuttle. Finally, the captain was the only soul left aboard the ship. "S--S-s-s-s-s-s-s IIIIIr, The rrrrrrrrrrevenant is falling apart." the AI stuttered as its protocols started to fail. "I have one.last. gift for these people." Replied 5209. his hand moved to bring up a red interface that he input a code into, causing a switch to make itself apparent on the command table. walking down towards it, amidst the wailing sirens and the screeches of metal, he pulled it. Within the bowels of the ship, the Darkmatter/Antimatter reactor began the Ejection process, as its spinning maelstrom of energy was compacted into a single pod the size of a fighter. It was then vented into space as the Revenant tore in two, breaking up amidst explosions as the reactors gave out. Its thrusters fired as it swept around towards the Sanctified.Meanwhile, the corvettes swung back around and collected as many shuttles as possible before jumping back to fleet.

"Sir, we've lost the Revenant." Said Tactical. Rek stood there for a moment, like the calm before the storm. "I'll contemplate this loss." He said. upon returning to his cabin, he sat down and roared in rage. "ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHH." he yelled, not caring who heard him, and those who did knew to stay away, an Angry Khanate was not a welcoming sight. Clenching his fists, a chime pulled him out of it for a second. "Yes?" He growled. "Sir, this is SIM, we have detected multiple ships around New Earth's moon. one of them possesses the same design as the enemy fleet's flagship. I don't think I have to tell you the tactical oppurtunity here." The female AI said. "Very well, embark on a course and charge the Tachyon Bolt." Rek replied. Soon, the Dragon's Maw had jumped to the opposite side of the moon and was charging its Superweapon.

New Earth Space
Armageddon-Class Warship Blaze of Retribution

As the Revenant was torn apart by the combined firepower of the Battlecruiser and Caelestis' vessel, and mostly the ramming power of Lunissa's ship.
The usual silence aboard the bridge of the Blaze of Retribution was broken by the cheers of its operators. Caelestis smiled and nodded in satisfaction.

Aboard the Blade of the Sanctified, a similar scene occurred, but was quickly quieted down by the heavy thud of Lunissa's boot slamming down on the floor.
"Status report, shield integrity?" She demanded.

"Our ramming attack drained some of our shield strength to prevent damage to the ship. We are currently at 78.8% shield strength and climbing." Reported the ship's A.I. dutifully.

Then, a large explosion rocked the ship, as the Revenant's Dark/Anti matter reactor detonated on the ship's shields.

"What in blazes-" began Lunissa, who through some effort kept her balance. "Report! Now." She demanded again.

"We were hit by a self-destruct mechanism of the enemy. They overloaded and fired their reactor at our ship. Shield integrity at 40.6% The enemy's escort ships have withdrawn from the battle."

Lunissa scoffed. "A daring but ultimately futile effort. Contact our dear sister, our next move is up to her." She ordered, and the A.I. obliged.

Back aboard the Blaze of Retribution, Caelestis received her sister's communications.
"Ah, Lady Lunissa. It is good to see you. You and your ship performed admirably in our efforts to destroy the enemy battleship." Said Caelestis, regarding the other Stellarian on the comms screen.

"Likewise, sister. Though my ship's shields suffered significant damage at their hands. Nothing they won't recover from though." Said Lunissa. "What's our next move?"

"Well," began Caelestis. "There's still a fleet of Higher Japanese vessels here that needs mopping up, we'll take care of that, then we'll discuss the beginning of our ground operations. The probes report that other factions have already landed on the planet, we wouldn't want to be late to that party."

"Very well, let's get this over with then. Lunissa out."

Then the two ships turned their many guns on the remaining Higher Japanese ships who were still locked in battle with the rest of the Battlecruisers, and opened fire.

Meanwhile, Sethiris had her own assignment to complete, one being rudely interrupted by the Arkeyanan Dreadnought.
As she was approaching the Warastrokan vessel, she was being contacted on her communicator by her ship's A.I.
"My lady, an enemy Dreadnought just warped in and has assumed an intercept course with us, it's charging a X-class weapon, according to our scanners. Your orders?"
"Really now? They have the nerve to attack my ship?!" She yelled through the communicator, after which she took a deep breath and regained her composure.
"Well we can't move right now, not while we're connected to the Warastrokan vessel. Make sure our ship remains positioned between that Dreadnought and the Warastrokan ship, divert all non-essential engine power to our shields and return fire! Meanwhile, contact the fleet, ask if we can get some Cruisers and Carrier support here." She ordered as she walked. The A.I. gave a confirming sound and carried out its orders.

The Chant of the Valorous turned its weapons on the approaching ship, firing its weapons to probe the enemy's shields. If the shields were similar to that of the Battleship they destroyed earlier, the A.I. already knew what tactics to apply, thanks to its connection to the fleet network.
It didn't take long for the rest of the fleet to respond either, and several rifts began to open up around Sethiris' ship. From them emerged six Ragnarok-Class Cruisers, who opened fire with their laser weapons. Joining them were several wings of strike craft from the Carriers, who themselves did not join the battle yet. Wings of bombers escorted by fighters appeared, quickly positioning themselves for attack runs on the enemy vessel. They had been preemptively armed with Neutron bombs as to best counter shields rather than going for armour and hull damage. The Chant of the Valorous readied its own complement of strike craft, a large complement of Interceptors, but did not launch them yet, instead keeping them in reserve.

Like that, Sethiris had turned the tides immensely in her favor, which she hoped would allow her to carry out her diplomatic mission mostly undisturbed.

The Dragon's Maw was unfazed by the weapons and laid down returning fire with her Leviathan cannons, which packed an immensely bigger punch than the quantum Cannons, a blue vortex of energy formed in front of the ship as phase two of the charge sequence was initiated: Draw in as many Tachyons as possible in order to create a Temporal Backlash in the form of the Bolt firing.

The shuttle Eagle's Nest cowered in fear amid the Revenant's wreckage, hoping no one in the Enemy Fleet would find them. Aboard the Bridge, however, were two members of two of the deadliest species in the Federation: Carbonate, A crystalline Alien with signifigant hardiness and physical strength, and Shakir, a Plantoid who could change his size and shape for certain situations. Several other crew members were conversing among themselves, wondering if one of the Corvettes would loop back for them.

New Earth Space
Armageddon-Class Warship Chant of the Valorous

The Chant of the Valorous' A.I. was directing the battle, taking in and processing data at speeds no organic being could even come close to comparing to.
Noting the ineffectiveness of the vessel's weapons so far, he began the process of readying EMP munitions, just like the Blaze of Retribution's A.I. had done. While the systems were occupied with that, the A.I. communicated to the deployed strike craft to initiate their attack runs.

They obeyed, the fighter escorts strafed the Dreadnought's shields with their laser cannons while the bombers fired off several payloads of Neutron Bombs before breaking off again. As they did so, they received long range fire support from the six Ragnarok Cruisers, who did not relent in firing their turbolasers.

One issue was apparent to the A.I. however, the Dreadnought was charging a superweapon, and the ship was in no position to execute evasive action. Normally he'd just use a tactical jump to reposition the ship out of the firing arc, but that was not an option. Luckily this was an Armageddon-Class Warship, the only ship class more powerful than this would be a full fledged Titan vessel. The A.I. wagered it could take the hit, just like it was taking the hits from the enemy's Leviathan cannons, which as energy weapons had severe difficulty dealing notable damage to the vessel's shields. Still though, tactical action was required to ensure the battle would result in victory, so the A.I. hailed the fleet again, with the request to ready additional support and to move them in once it notified them to do so.

Aboard the Blaze of Retribution, lady Caelestis was enjoying a beverage while observing the light show. It reminded her of the fireworks display often used in festivities back on her home planet.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a notification from her A.I. however. "My lady, I am detecting surviving life signs in the wreck of the enemy battleship. Closer scans have revealed a shuttle floating in the wreckage. Our tractor beams are still positioned to intercept a predicted enemy hit and run attack, what are your orders?"

"So there are yet survivors left behind? Interesting. We could extract valuable intel about their ships and the size and capabilities of their fleet here. Contact lady Lunissa, tell her to bring the shuttle in and capture these survivors. I want them subdued and prepared for interrogation." Commanded Caelestis.

"As you wish, my lady." Responded the A.I. and it went to carry out her mistress' will.

Lunissa received her orders, and her ship wasted no time in executing them. A few well calculated shots by her vessel's A.I. cleared a path in the debris and one of her ship's tractor beams locked on to the shuttle, and began to haul it in to one of the ship's hangars.

9nth War Host
Commander Irithaki

Another battle, another war, and another victory for Tribal Space. Commander Irithaki watched as the planet writhed and screamed as its population were being wiped out. This including stripping it to the very core in order to grow the fleet to ever more massive proportions. Irithaki found it unfortunate that they couldn't colonize it instead as it was large enough, but time isn't usually on a tundran's side. A sigh erupted from him as he wen to go have a seat in the mess hall...there just wasn't any big battles anymore. While he sat there stirring some chili, a recruit ran up to him, "Sir we have another sighting in the New Earth Sector!! Multiple factions have converged to fight over the old turf and claim its bounties. You want us to engage?" There was a slight pause as the commander kept his repose, but inside he was more than excited, "Plot a course immediatley, but keep a portion of our production here to continue their work." As the recruit charged off to complete his duty, Irithaki took another cheesy bite and gave a wolfish grin.
