Well, if we are talking overall, I have about 70, but of course numbered Felt Karpit puppets are not what I consider to really be nations that I use, since I them only for raiding.

I have about 10 nations that I actually do issues and stuff on, some that I made years ago and recently revived out of nostalgia, and some that are just to play around with the politics of.

Basically at one point all my friend nation accounts suddenly joined my old region and voted for me in a WAD Election, and I was called for cheating by the second highest. And since I could only have one WA nation per person, four of my sub-accounts was caught for being in the WA and altogether we got kicked out. I never got the position.

Aryaan, Verlzonian World Assembly& Weimar Prussia were for when I was banned from WA (I did not multi) and for being in other regions.

So all up: 17. Most are dead tho so only like 4 or 5 i actually use.

Currently I have 8. This one is my oldest and the one I still view as a personal one. I then made one that was a critique of everything I disagree with (Grand Molniya) and one that is a critique of fundamentalist Islamic terrorist extremism (Mushastan).

Of my remaining nations, 1 is a conservative Constitutional Monarchy - a critique state (Lyseria),
1 is a model of a failed African state that traces the roots of the crisis (Kadule) (internal divisions exacerbated by colonial rule and the favouring of Nilotic people over Bantu people, the sudden and rapid scramble out leaving a power vacuum and leading to a Civil War during the Cold War, relative peace built by power sharing but torn apart again by conflict over resources),
1 is a European Constitutional Monarchy which I made because I made a cool map and wanted a nation to go with it (Lynland-),
1 is a nation I made purely for the "Bigtopian Bigwigs Beset Borders" issue for my conservative Constitutional Monarchy state, a dictatorial African state I waged a five month real time Civil War in, which I have since been slowly turning into a fledgling democracy (Nchiyamengi) (fun to see the slow process of change),
and my last one was originally just meant as a member nation in a region that closed down, but I had fun with it and it is a democratic socialist African island nation, which has probably become the most reflective of my current beliefs (Zaxumadi).

I also used to have, but let die, 1 where the elections were determined by a poll (Zaxatropica, or something like that), 1 which was a Violetism nation (Violetza), 1 with was a Zombie nation (Zombie Bikers) and a European Democracy that I ended up looking back on as not being an accurate enough portrayal of European politics, and so which I scrapped and replaced with the new one (Olleria and Garronland). Oh and I also had 1 I used as the setting for an organised crime RP, when the RP died I let it die too (Isola di Scorpio, or something like that).

So in total I've had 13. I'm thinking of making a 14th for a new RP I'm thinking up.

When I first joined NS, I didn't do much other than just answer issues, and doing 2 per day just wasn't gonna cut it, so I started making puppets to keep things interesting. Then I started making nations around a theme that I'd try to develop, like with this nation. Then I made puppets if an interesting name came to mind that I just had to make. Over the span of 6+ years, it's gotten to the point where I have several hundred puppets, a handful of which I use for RPing and a few for answering issues, bust most of them are kept around only for Z-Days and other special events where puppets come in handy, like the recent N-Days.

I still make additional puppets when I think of a name that I like or if I want to RP something, but I'm nowhere near as prolific as I once was.

A few of the early ones were made to try answering issues different ways and building different types of governments.

Ixintaza Ra-ii was so I could test a potential problem with the nation creation page after it was reported to mods. IIRC, [v] wound up telling us it wasn't a problem and left it the way it was.

Somewhere between 180 and 200, at last count, excluding about 20 that CTEd long ago & that I intend to leave defunct. However only half-a-dozen or so of them are actually answering issues, and still get checked much more frequently than is necessary to keep them alive, at present.
Created to give me new 'UN/WA puppets' when I could no longer justify continued membership by the previous ones to myself, as a part of existing nations' RP, to develop concepts that I thought might be interesting, to try different policies, to maintain a presence in regions that looked interesting, and maybe sometimes [especially in the earlier days] just because I was bored...
