As of 2020, about 0.3% of married couples in the People's Republic of Zhouran are interracially-married. Around 99.4% of these marriages were interracial marriage between a Zhouranese male and foreign female while 0.6% were between a Zhouranese female and foreign male.

Opinions on interracial marriage here in Zhouran is divided between the sexes. With most Zhouranese men, many hold neutral-to-positive views on interracial marriage while a huge majority of Zhouranese women hold neutral-to-negative opinions due to the notion that foreign women are "stealing" their men.

While most anti-miscegenation groups simply ask for people to avoid marrying foreigners, some do actually go further by calling for an outright ban on miscegenation, however the chance of such policy being enacted nationwide remains little to none.

Most of the foreign women that Zhouranese men would marry are either Hispanic, Southern European, or African, with marriages between Zhouranese men and Asian women being quite rare.

By the Ephyral's own definition of their standing as a race, it is a fact that there is some form of interracial marriage.

The Ephyral are a Caucasoid people, with pale skin and fair features, eyes from blue to purple and hair from gold to pale silver. They possess relation to the white European Caucasian race, and though they consider themselves distinct and superior to these peoples, the Ephyral can and do intermarry with them. The most common circumstance of this is with the people of Republic of Washinton.

Curiosity between the two peoples was established when a Washingtonian merchant vessel was captured by Ephyral slavers many years ago. The Ephyral acquired a fascination with these people, whom they'd never met, and though the captives were sold into slavery, they sold well. Like the Ephyral, these Washingtonian men were fit, and good for use as labour slaves, and the smarter ones as personal attendants. The women captured were desired as bedslaves.

When greater interaction was established between the Undying Empire and the Republic, the mutual fascination of either people grew. Ephyral visited Washington. Washingtonians visited Ephyra. In some, admittedly rare cases, the Ephyral found themselves moving beyond fascination, and some engaged in love with the Washingtonians, some of whom reciprocated.

Due the nature of this love, it was more common for marriages involving an Ephyral-Washingtonian mix to occur in Washington rather than Ephyra, though policies are in place that do permit Washingtonian men and women to marry Ephyral of the opposite sex, and through generational loyalty, have their half-breed children be set back to integration (Ephyra is a society based on hypodescent, meaning that a child born of a mixed-race union is deemed as inferior as the lower ranking parent).

Ephyral-Washingtonian hybrids are the most common hybrid between Ephyral and any other race.

The Ephyral deem other races, such as those from Nordcastle, Creinuntia, and potentially Taralus, to be racially acceptable mates to take. Social norms mean there is less favour to a non-Ephyral man wedding an Ephyral woman than an Ephyral man wedding a non-Ephyral woman.

However Mediterranean Europeans and Slavs, and essentially all Asiatic and African peoples are deemed too inferior to the Ephyral to consider marriage with. There are few recorded cases of love occurring here, and essentially none of marriage, as the Ephyral perception of racial purity is a strong, ingrained one, and for even the more open-minded of Ephyral, the idea of breeding with a race so evidently inferior to their own is just too far.

If necessary, the guardian of a woman will step in to prevent her from wedding an inferior man. If a man is to try and wed an inferior woman, there is no legal guardian of his that can stop him, but his family is likely to sever ties with him.
