How do you guys want to roll with the thing? I'm picturing it as more of a 'Theistic League of Nations' than anything else - essentially a mechanism for the Gods to work out arguments and conflicts before they escalate too far.

I like the idea of this. A theistic council is better than a pantheon with a single leader deity.


I also like how the deities of this pantheon so far represent the good nature of the world.

'Good' is a decidedly ambiguous term, I think it's probably more apt to say that the Pantheon consists of deities who aren't intent on destroying the mortal world Seona doesn't care much for anyone but herself, and wealth isn't always such a good thing for the mortal world with the greed that it can breed. Although it is looking like all the good deities are in the Pantheon.

Also, damn do I want the IC to kick off I'm pumped for this one!

So would the father of giants/God of the north men be OK as a character.

Not the OP, but what would a God of the North Men be capable of - out of curiosity? Is he just the patron deity for a particular race/civilisation?

Obviously, he will have the power of having the most intense beard in the universe.

Description: Tenau is an egomaniac; she considers whatever she does to be good, anything that benefits her to be good, and vice versa. It is bad if it opposes her, or if she does not approve of it. She claims to be the 'original' goddess, coming into existence when the first thing came into existence, as if something has a beginning, then it must have an ending, and a path to that ending. She considers mortals to be fleeting beings, far beneath her notice, and as such she has had little in the way of dealings with them. She may have caused the Schism; she isn't entirely sure, her memories from that time have faded to nearly nothing. She doesn't really care if she did or didn't; mortals are nothing to her. Now, her fellow Gods are another matter. She expects them to acknowledge her as their chief; she will not stand for any violation of this, which views as the natural and right order of things. She also expects things that have died naturally to stay dead; the only thing that enrages her more than those that refuse to ackowledge her place are those who try to defy her ending of them.
Plane: Tenau's plane is a hollowed out world, with her plane being inside the world itself; within the world is a great palace of gold, fully furnished for thousands of people to live within, but completely empty but for Tenau herself. When the time comes to end everything and begin again, she intends to take those who she likes or deems useful into her plane, end everything outside it at the appointed time, and along with her chosen survivors create the new world.

I would think that he is a patron god/protector of a more savage people of the northern reaches, which could range from viking esque civilization to a more primative state the farther north you go. Father of giants comes because he created the giant's as a species from the Frost giants of the north that dominate the north men via tributaries or full out conquest with the collection of their domains being know as vasgardia, the insular and somewhat savage hill giants who worship the great father in a more druidic fashion similar to the celts. And for a final example sand giants, just think Babylon with giants, but with a more disconnected view of my guy and with a population of small folk to basically due the things that the sand giants neither have the time or population for.

Description: The premier natural predators of the sky, the Rokh are large, non-sentient birds. Although there are different subspecies of Rokh, all of them are carnivorous birds of prey, with their diet usually consisting of larger land animals such as deer and bison. Armed with their formidable talons and beak, over the centuries many travellers have fallen victim to Rokh attacks when straying too close to their nests, although the creatures themselves usually don’t seem to strike out at the sentient races unless provoked or starving.

Over the generations, some Rokh have been bred and domesticated for use as mounts. The rarity and expense involved in housing and training such a creature has historically limited their number and mostly relegated their role to an elite cavalry or the personal steed of a particularly powerful noble.

Name: Crew of the Icarus

Aims/Objectives: Each member of the Icarus’ crew have their own reasons for signing on. Some are seeking fortune and adventure, while others want little more than to leave their old lives behind. That is, of course, when they’re not concerned with keeping their ship sailing for another day.
Number of Members: 11

Description: Easily one of the fastest ships afloat, the Icarus was originally the brainchild of an ambitious dwarven inventor and merchant. Alas, it was also his greatest failure as even his best efforts were not enough to conquer the cruel leash of gravity. However, when the dwarf was on the verge of giving up, he garnered the favour of Seona, Goddess of the Sky. In her honour, he would name the vessel after one of her first champions: an elf named 'Icarus' who would establish the world's first ocean-faring trading routes and exploit them with a keen and savvy eye. With advanced dwarven technology and the Goddess’ blessing, the Icarus’ balloons were able to lift it out of the water and into the heavens – a feat that no other vessel can match to this day. This has allowed the small, agile vessel to outrun and avoid any ship that’s tried to catch it in the past. But perhaps greater still, the magic of the Goddess’ can allow the Icarus – with the right navigator – to sail higher still and into the Planes of the Gods.

Despite her inflated ego, Tari knows that she can’t sail the Icarus all on her own. A patchwork of misfits and old friends, the small crew have been through thick-and-thin together and have had to trust each other with their lives on more than one occasion. While it may be a stretch to call the Icarus a pirate ship, she certainly doesn’t limit herself to legitimate activities, and nor does her crew. Smuggling contraband and blackmarket goods are common jobs for the gold-strapped vessel, and their roles in which it excels.

But the magic of the Gods is a fickle thing, and flying the Icarus is as much art as technique. The crew cannot keep her airborne forever and struggle to maintain the aging, complex dwarven engineering. Even after years, no one alive fully understands the vessel or its inner workings. This has, at times, left Tari and her crew backed into a corner when they least expect it.

OOC: Just to clarify, I tried to make it so that – although the Icarus has the potential to travel into the Planes of Gods, nobody really knows quite how to do so and it may involve some additional ritual/artefact (as well as, of course, the OOC permission of anyone involved). I also will not have the Icarus go gallivanting about (if accepted) without first discussing things with any other RPers involved and getting their approval.

Honestly the new gods could do that but the old gods such as myself will need a lot of convincing to join that considering we had "different" ways of settling disputes.

It really is up to the OP. I personally think it is a little too much, but then again, when I came up with the idea for Soion I thought being the god of systems and cycles would be too broad, since that gives Soion power over plate tectonics, weather patterns, and even the solar system itself, but it got accepted.

However, being a deity with control over existence itself is a little too overpowered. I don't know what direction this RP is going to take, but if a godly conflict arises, your proposed deity could easily just wipe its/her/his opponents out of existence, or bring a solution to whatever problem plagues the plot with an effortless swish of the hand. I suggest you make sure to moderate your character's power a bit. But once again, it's the OP's choice whether to accept your app or not.
